Other than missing our 8:00 meal because of late ferry and arriving at 12:00am instead of 6:00 pm
They were up and get us to the room and was very pleasant even at that hour and the breakfast was really lovely the next morning! Beautiful place highly recommended!!

Beautiful location. But the attic room was unbearably hot. Should have opened windows prior to our arrival. Majority of staff were nice, however our dinner waiter only addressed one of our party and was rude. The steaks in the seafood bar were of poor quality and not cooked as requested.

Dunbroady House is peaceful and quiet, we relaxed into our stay straight away. Food was an experience we really enjoyed and the service was very good. Staff were informative and friendly. This location hits all the high points for us where we need to recharge our batteries.

Loved our time in Dunbrody house

Ciara and I stayed in Dunbrody house for two nights to celebrate her birthday. We had an amazing time. Upon arrival, all the staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food in the harvest room was exquisite. A special mention to Harry the GM and Gabby the restaurant manager for going above and beyond to celebrate Ciaras birthday.
On our second day, We went to hook lighthouse and did the cliff walk and enjoyed a cosy meal in the local pub on the grounds of the hotel. It’s a really special place and would highly recommend for a couples trip away.

Loved being in the country. Yet it was only like 20-25 minute drive/ferry to Waterford. Such a quaint place w top notch staff. All welcoming. Great little pub on site. My only small complaint would be to upgrade or fix some of the furniture in our suite. Old and antiquing but needs some repair.

Everything good if you can find the hotel which is hidden away in deep country. I thought we were going to have to
sleep in our car when failing to find the hotel late at night !
We were saved by a lady that I asked for help and she VERY KINDLY took us. All the way there in the dark !!

Great trip

My mum and I treated ourselves to 2 night break at Dunbrody Country House. The staff were immensely helpful, friendly and courteous. Our garden suite was very comfortable with a back door leading on to the garden. Food was first-rate. The staff (inc. chef's) made every effort to accommodate my many food intolerances!
Special thanks to Catherine for her directions out of Dunbrody - much better than Google's!! We’ll be back.

A true gem of a property. If you expect the \"chrome and glass\" of a modern hotel do not stay here. This is a true country house/estate. Vintage through and through. Fantastic place to stay if you are looking for comfort and quite.

Check in was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Was a bit of a challenge to find. Charming hotel but furniture needs some fixing. Fabric on chairs had holes and were too unstable to sit in. Pub on the grounds was great. Good food and setting.

Hotel was Fantastic apart from Wi-Fi in room, staff very friendly and helpful, The meal in the hotel was perfect.
Unfortunately the food from the bar and the service was very disappointing, after ordering food they couldn't bring the right food to right table and kept bringing me a beef burger (3 times also chicken burger written on receipt) when I ordered a chicken burger and to be honest was not impressed with the chicken burger or the new York stripe

A great overall experience for our family party.

I loved the big house atmosphere rather than hotel with big lobby and all mod cons type of accommodation. The rooms were cozy with real fire and sofas and armchairs. Bedrooms were high ceilings and nicely wallpapered with old style furniture and lovely decor. The staff were warm and friendly. The menu was varied and nicely served.

On arrival we were upgraded to a suite the suite beautifully decorated the only fault I had with the room was the toilet did not flush properly.
We eat in the local pub which is situated on the grounds of Dunbroady house the food was fabulous.The staff were exceptional friendly and helpful I also liked the idea of tossing a coin for your drink between 6-8pm on a Friday.
The breakfast was disappointing.
However I will be definitely returning to the Dunbroady House.

The food was especially great. Didn't know the owner was famous Irish chef ahead of time so fortunate choice. Food was simple Irish classics but done with exceptional care. Especially loved fish and chips in the pub. Would be ideal for family gatherings or weddings . Staff very nice . Unpretentious but fancy

A beautiful part of wexford just minutes from the ferry from Waterford. very characterful and a great retreat. peaceful and a beautiful setting. one flaw was on walking around the gardens there was evident some 'dumps' of building and farming waste that should be an embarrassment to any farmer and it appeared that these belonged to the hotel grounds - this may not be the case. Staff were outstanding and helpful and even created a separate vegetarian menu for the night for us. The house could do with some investment particularly an exterior refurbishment however this did not affect the experience of the hotel from within. a great place to hide on a blustery day. my favourite part is the 'village pub' on the grounds converted from stables.

A Weekend away

Dunbrody is a quality proposition for a weekend away. The food is excellent in the hotel with an accompanying price tag but the food in The Pub is very well priced. It is definately a destination to relax as there is no coverage and wifi in most of the hotel!

Terrible disappointment

When entering our room a card with the wifi password was on a table. Entered the password, no connection, contacted staff to be told that wifi is not availible in all rooms.A double bed was paid for but was in reality two single beds put together with a mini mattress covering the two single mattresses.
This made sleep next to impossible with the mini mattress constantly moving around the bed.
At nearly €200 per night for a 2 night stay I found this totally unacceptable. We checked out after the first night without as much as a token gesture off the €400+ bill
This included food from the bar menu, without drinks, that only be described as hilarious.
On checking out we headed to Dublin to spend the night in the wonderfull Louis Fitzgerald hotel in Clondalkin, for 80€ for the night. We had a great nights sleep and received top class service.
Once bitten, twice shy.We will not be recommending the Dunbrody country house hotel.

Overpriced under performed!

Was not impressed at all. The room had a number of things I had to bring to the management attention like condition of toilet seat, valance was dirty, black mould on the ceiling of the bathroom. This was billed as a 'superior room' I think not!! A family member paid for a platter of fruit to be left in our room. I had to send back the platter some of the fruit was bad! that is unforgivable!!! Management agreed but when I was booking out left a list of complaints while told management would be in touch. Nothing obviously out of sight out of mind! Food was otherwise very good. Expensive weekend but totally over priced!!

Stayed at Dunbrody for 1 night on 9/6, very tranquil location. Despite an empty reception desk on arrival, there was a very warm welcome and relaxing vibe. Dinner was good and service was very good. Came away feeling rested and relaxed. Would highly recommend for a chill-out break away.
