The hotel was amazing, clean, modern and staff's hospitality was beyond I could imagine. Everyone was so welcoming, and always greeted you with genuine smile.
The hotel has their own pier, parking and ferry in Ban Phe, and they will also take you directly to the hotel once you arrive Koh Samed. It's very convenient.
It's also walkable to town which has restaurants, 7-11s, pubs, and shops.
We will definitely come back!

Tranquil, private, premium. It’s worth the price. Enjoyed our 2 nights stay here. The live music is above par. The fire show was top notch especially the ending on the beach. We stayed at the least expensive rooms and they were excellent. Highly recommend this resort !!

This is a beautiful hotel on the biggest beach of the island. Staff are accommodating. Breakfast had everything you needed from omelettes to noodle soup. Transfer was smooth - recommend to check with hotel before organising transfers.

Staying 2 nights at Saikaew beach resort was great. The room was very good and amenities.
The staff was excellent and the restaurant and cafe were very good.
This is a good location, right on the beach. Plenty of free loungers that were more comfortable than most places have.
Pepe was a very helpful staff member and gave us tips where to go on the island.

방갈로 숙소는 왠만하면 추천하고 싶지않습니다. 샤워수전은 호스가 없이 해바라기 수전만 있어서 사용하기 불편했고 수전자체도 물때가 잔뜩있어서 청결해 보이지않았습니다. 수도관도 문제가 있는지 전체적으로 물이 누런빛을 띄고 있었고 샤워실자체 천장이 얇은 판으로 되어있고 틈이 있어서 옆방에 말소리 다들리고, 외부 벌레들 유입등 유별난 부분이 있었습니다. 그러나 가장 큰 문제는 내부 인테리어가 목제 구조물이 많아서 개미들이 집내부에 계속 있다는 것입니다. 모기가 있는건 이해가 되지만 개미는 숙박을 묵는 내내 스트레스 였습니다. 모기와 개미에게 물리는걸 피할수는 없는 상황 + 캐리어 같은 개인짐에 개미들이 들러붙어있는 상황이 문제였습니다. 그리고 방갈로쪽 풀장은 죽은 벌레, 나뭇가지가 떠다니면서 전혀 관리가 안되어 있어서 풀장을 제대로 이용하려면 비싼 숙소가 있는 프리미어 존 쪽의 풀장까지 걸어가서 이용해야했습니다. 숙소내의 편의시설까지 이동하는 거리상으로도 가장 먼곳에 위치해서 번거로웠습니다.
이 모든것을 가성비적으로 생각해서 묵었다고 하기에는 싼편도 아니였습니다.
하지만 직원분들은 모두 굉장히 친절하셨고, 조식 괜찮았고, 특히 Winkks 음식점은 가격이 비싼것을 제외하면 맛이 아주 훌륭했습니다. 코사멧의 해변이 아름다웠고 즐거운 섬여행이였지만 방갈로 숙소는 정말 추천하고 싶지않습니다. 구조물 리모델링과 확실한 방역이 있어여할 것 같습니다.

Been coming to Sai Kaew Resort for 16 years. It’s a great location with a very competent and friendly staff. There is major construction going on which we were unaware of. They also moved the breakfast buffet from the location next to the beach to another building which has no view. Finally the food inflation in Thailand is unbelievable and this applies to all tourist locations. It varies between 300 and 800 percent. Yes the numbers are correct. It is a
sad development to what I consider the best vacation destination in the world.

Absolutely beautiful, did have slight trouble with our room but the manager came to apologize and fixed everything. The views were beautiful, the show is amazing and the ambiance everywhere is extraordinary. We only came here for a day on our trip because we had lots of other places to visit but when we come back to Thailand we would definitely stay there for our whole trip. It’s a paradise that you wouldn’t need to leave!! Highly recommend

I really enjoyed my stay at Saikaew Beach Resort. Having last visited 20 years ago I found things had completely changed and the resort is now a much more modern hotel.
Staff were very friendly and the hotel is perfectly located on the island to have access to everything on offer. Would definitely recommend and return.

The resort was really nice, the beach is right there and the pool is also lovely. The entire resort is beautiful and they arranged a fun snorkeling excursion for us that was 700 baht per person. The food was good although pricey, but there’s lots of other food in the town and along the beach.

This is my second time at this resort, they welcomed me with an elephant made from towels in my room \"Welcome back\"
Food was good but the service at restaurant was slow and served untimely. The beach is great but service on the beach was hard to get. Transportation to and from the ferry was provided by the hotel. My only complaint is when they drop you at the ferry it is very confusing where to go. They need to provide foreigners with some instructions where to go at the pier. My GF is Thai and she was frustrated on what to do.

Ok so the bad first!

We booked a Delux Cottage which was rather shabby & in definite need of a refurb. The bedroom was good but the bathroom was dated & dark.

The cottages have tin roofs so when the fruit falls off the trees in the middle of the night the noise is terrible.

The room & beach towels were ragged although a good size.

Now the good!
The bar, restaurant & Spa are gorgeous. Breakfast was plentiful & had great choices of Asian & Western foods. Staff were friendly & all areas were spotless.

Scoop ice cream parlor was delicious & the cakes in the cafe to die for.

The beach was very clean & the sunbeds comfortable.

Location was great ... 5 minutes walk in to town, easy to get taxis & close to all the beach front restaurants.

All in all a lovely resort, just don't spend the extra money on a cottage.

We had a hut in the hide away zone which was nice and private with its own picturesque small beach. The resort handled the transport from the pier all the way to our hut. It was well organized. The grounds are beautifully kept and there are lots of flowers and birds. We also had an hour massage at the spa which was excellent. The main beach has soft white sand and clear warm water. Definitely would come again.

A quick overnight trip from Pattaya. 1 hour taxi ride to a half hour boat ride. Hotel picked up at the dock. Check in was a breeze. Nice white sand beach and good amenities.

Hotel generally was good , initially we were given the wrong rooms , we didnt realise until we were asked to moved to the bungalows, a lower class room , wouldnt have been a problem except the premier room was great so felt like we were being downgraded, bit dissappointing but suppose that was the room we booked. 10 minute walk to the reception and beach though , bit time consuming 6 times a day. Overall good though , beach area and loungers were perfect. had a great time at this resort

Beautiful resort! We enjoyed the lush, well-maintained grounds and private beaches. We stayed in the bungalows and loved them! Very cute! I preferred the bungalows to the other room locations which are more hotel-like and surround noisy pools. Location of the resort is very convenient. Be sure to take note of which bars/pools have happy hour!

Stayed in the Deluxe Premiere suite, which was very spacious.
The small patch of reserved beach was well kept. The landscaping was gorgeous. Nice and close to the main shopping street. Stayed during off-peak time, which meant it was very quiet but also that there were not so many staff on hand. On site food was pretty good.

This hotel has two places to stay. Two small three story typical hotel buildings and tons of cabins spread out across property. We did not know what we were getting until we got there. The cabin had a small bedroom that is air conditioned and a huge bathroom that is not. The staff was very kind and the food was good.

Very nice stay on the main saikaew beach.

The hotel location was perfect. It located almost at the end of the busy saikaew beach that was very popular with the tourists and the local vendors. Considering how busy the beach was, our hotel stay was very nice and quiet.
The room was surprisingly nice and modern. The transportation provided by the hotel (local songtaew bus and ferry to the mainland) was also wonderful and convenient.
Also, the beach itself was busy with vendor throughout the day and the evening, but it was cleaned up nightly. Very impressive.

A well located option with good facilities. We stayed in a Premier room which was very pleasant and located on a beautiful courtyard with a pool in the centre. It was much quieter than the beach area.

The resort provides ferry service from the Ao Prao Pier on the mainland anf this was well coordinated and the waiting room at the pier is great!

In general itnia good but they could do better in some small touches. There were no cotton pads supplied and also no laundry plastic bags (you have to ask for it). Water drained from the air conditioner and made our things wet .....
Check out took too long and they only check the room after the check out process complete and they made you wait until the room was checked which waste you another 10 mins!!

Nice Hotel right on the Beach

Very good hotel with excellent staff. Very welcoming throughout, beginning as soon as you arrive at the pier just outside Rayong for the ferry.
Koh Samet is almost perfect. Lovely hotel, lovely beach, lovely people and clear waters.
Annoying were the speedboats coming and going. So many. Had a day trip (turned into half day trip) to Ao Phrao but 2 speedboats reversed directly at us when we were swimming in the water forcing us to get out. They parked on the beach securing their anchors right in front of our deck chairs (50THB a day) and some of the Chinese tourists even went to sit in our deck chairs to take photos. Park employees not interested in our complaint or safety.
Hotel is more expensive than others but worth it. Next time we will come in low season and hope for less speedboats with tourists taking over the resorts and beaches.

Payed approx 12000 THB incl. tax for two days at this beach resort in hotels.com and we was placed in an ugly bungalow about 5 min walk from the hotel's main buildings The bungalow was not nice and is worth at most 3000 THB for the two days. Nothing in hotels.com indicated this but showed us a nice resort in the pictures. We had to upgrade to get the standard we expected in the hotel main part and payed another 5000 THB.
My Thai wife told me that the staff said that they gave us a Thai price upgrade, not sure about that.
Our new room, breakfast and it's location was good but we will not return because we felt disappointed and tricked by this resort!
The staff was nice as they should be for the price.
We didn't extend our stay and moved to another hotel..

Spending time in this hotel is worth its price.

I would give 12/10 to the score for this hotel, every service since depart at a peer with speedboat, the time we live there until we left. I felt like a timeless moment, very relax, and peaceful place.

Also my dad got some injure by accident, and the staff took care of us very care and kind. Really impressed.

I would visit there again next time, totally recommended.

Beautiful location, very green and lush grounds and right on the beach. Lots of food options along the beach.

- There are different parts of the hotel - there's quite a gap in level between the cottages and the more hotel-ish rooms.. if I stayed again I would book the more expensive rooms.

+ Staff were lovely, and everything was done for us, from the mainland to hotel room - from the flash waiting area for the ferry to welcome drinks at check in - and we didn't have to walk or carry our bags at all.

Best Location for Activities

I have stayed at this resort many times as it offers the best beach access, cleanliness and walking access to downtown restaurants and shops. There are a few higher-end resorts on the island but the tradeoff is distance to anything outside the resort. I booked room 101 this time which is one of two beachfront villas. I will always book this room in the future. It is amazing with huge views of the ocean and private access to the beach. The room is gigantic and feels more like a home than a hotel room. Overall Saikaew Beach Resort will continue to be my go-to resort on the island.

Generally very good hotel with very pleasant staff. A few minor glitches , but overall excellent ( don't sweat the small stuff) On the beach and convenient to and from the mainland. We did not want to travel along way from Bangkok. This was 2 hour taxi ride to the pier and then easy 15 minute ferry ride from the pier. This is a good point to visit other parts of the island

My girlfriend did not care for the old ferry that took us to Ko Samet, But I thought it was great. She preferred the speedboat that took us back but I thought this was boring

Found the restaurant was good in the evening with an adequate buffet breakfast.

Great hotel!!

My sister and I stayed here for 1 night during our 6 day vacation to Bangkok. It was nothing short of fantastic! The location is great (on the beach), rooms are very nice and clean. The overall ambiance has a \"beach house\" feel to it which is a perfect escape from the hectic streets of Bangkok. I highly recommend this hotel! This resort is perfect for families, couples and young travelers like my sister and I.

The whole resort is huge, with a wide range of room selections. The standard room is pretty ok bathroom is pretty big. The pools were great, 3 pools are quite attractive especially the one on the premier side. Staying on the premier side seems to be better as you do not need to walk too far and it's close to the restaurant :) The resort itself is huge so it might get crowded in the weekend.

Hotel itself is very nice, restaurant with sea view and good facilities. While the rooms themselves are nicely decorated and furnished, most of them have no views at all, and you won't even hear the sea because they are buried in the admittedly well cared for gardens. The pools are small but the beach is great. Also I find it hard to like the fact that a section of the grounds, including the main pool, are out of bounds to the 'common' guests and are reserved for the higher paying ones. Staff are very nice and polite. Breakfast excellent. I still think it's overpriced for what you eventually get though, unless you shell out even more for a sea view.

Stay at SaiKaew

During the stay one of the nights there was a thunderstorm and the Wifi was dropped. Having to wait for approximately 7 hours to get it reinstated is really bad. Imagine there was nothing else we could do on this island and limited resources or entertainment is not good. The TV Signal was also terrible, no signal at all. I had to troubleshoot it myself and concluded that the cable connectivity was bad. I had to request for the hotel maintenance guy to come fix it. We had like 8 to 10 hours of downtime with no entertainment and stranded in the room. There was anxiety that with the thunderstorm and heavy downpour, our little bungalow was surrounded by trees and we dare not sleep for fear that one of the trees may just topple over out little cottage. Furthermore, there was a tree behind our cottage that has been dropping seeds over the plastic roof that was covering the bath area and it was disturbing our sleep into the night. We feedback several times to the staff but nothing was done.
On the whole the stay was satisfactory, we rented a bike and explored the whole island within 2 hours. Although the establishment owns 7 resorts on the island we reckon Saikaew Resort offers the best package in terms of amenities, rooms, views and ambience.
We hope the establishment could consider having a sea-transport service for its guest as we were ripped off by the boat operators at the Pier.

We had a lovely stay at Saikaew Beach, fascilities were excellent, close to beach and restaurants. I would recommend Saikaew to couples and families as they cater for both. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Amazing

This resort is amazing! We got the premium seaside room which was lovely and spacious. Everything is so well organised and efficient by the staff from the waiting area at the pier, to the lovely speedboat drivers, to the fantastic and friendly porters. The resort is lovely and is in a great location, with a range of places to eat close by and also fire shows. The beach is lovely, but we also spent a lot of time relaxing in the pool which overlooks the sea.
The F&B staff were great at the restaurant and cafe, and the gardeners do an amazing job of making the resort grounds look beautiful.
Fantastic place to stay - loved it!
