There were blood stains on the linen that was on my bed, and there was a bug crawling on my bed that I had to kill. I got there at 8:45 at night and the lady wasn’t the nicest, we stood there waiting for about 5 minutes for someone to come and check us in.

Beautiful views, don’t be fooled the rooms not closest to the water have gorgeous views. I stayed right over the water and it was nice as well. Amazingly clean - I stayed for a month, and sometimes could hear them cleaning. Unlike most places, they literally scrubbed the floors between stays. The office staff was very kind and went out of their way for the guests. Don’t miss the restaurant, which is great (and I’m a local so I know). A very good deal for all you get.

We arrived on a Monday in March, so it was very quiet. It seemed there may have been 1 other guest in the lake view lodge. The lake was still frozen, so it was very peaceful and beautiful. The room was large and spacious and evening seemed very new. The bathroom had an extractor fan for steam which was so nice. I stay in hotels all the time, including many 5-stars, and nobody includes extractor fans anymore, which is preferred when sharing a room with others. The shower was a pick tricky to figure out (even with signage taped to the mirror for how to work it), and the in room coffee station could use restocking with creamers and coffee stirs, but the little continental breakfast at checkout was lovely. A fridge stocked with eggs and yogurts, plus lots of coffee, muffins, granola, and cereal. We had a very nice stay. Most convenient place to Vermont State Castleton.

Our one-room condo was nice, we could see the lake from the second floor! Was a great homing spot for our Christmas Holiday stretch in Vt and it fit our budget.
The lodge was a welcoming spot for a drink and live music at the weekend evening.
The downside to the one room condo is - if you plan to sleep on the pull-out couch know that it is not very comfortable at all and looked a bit used with a big 'dent' in the middle. Luckily they have an extra foam mattress in the closet to layer on top of the couch, plus I also had brought one more of my own on this trip from past experiences at other hotels with uncomfy pull-out couches! Using both foam mats and my own comforter - it was great.
Also when the condos next to us got occupied at the weekend, the sounds from the others carried through the walls, but we weren't really bothered by that as they became quiet by 10pm.
The bedroom mattress was quite comfortable according to my mother and the bedroom was spacious and allowed us to have our own space and separate tvs without having to book the two bedroom condo.
If you like fresh clean towels in plenty every morning - this is for sure the place to go! 10 stars for the nice lady that dropped a bag full off every morning!
Plus, having our own little kitchenette is something we like and it was well appointed, although the refrigerator was a bit loud.
We also very much enjoyed the coffee at the office in the morning!

It’s a nice place to stay. A little far but we used it while skiing at Killington. Bed was comfy. Restaurant there was good. The breakfast was on the go so we skipped it.

The place should be excellent in the summer, and we will probably go back there. It was way too cold for us to appreciate the scenery - hence, thought of going back there in warmer days. The check-in was somewhat confusing. I got my room number in advance via email (or check-in link?). I mistakenly thought that it was a contactless check-in, so we went to our room first. But we had to check in in the office. Despite the COLD weather, there were people tending the place, so it was easy to find help. Overall, it was smooth. The breakfast was simple and I LIKED that a lot (over having choices of food I do not eat). They had cereals, yogurt, muffin, two types of fruits and boiled eggs. I saw employees tending the rooms and parking lots despite the cold weather, so kudos to them. There were plenty of towels, and there were more towels the next day by the door (I think I heard the door knock, but I thought it was next door do I ignored it).

Room was great, beautiful property, and nice lodge with good food. Rooms are not very sound proof though. I could hear when each person came back to their room and each took a shower. That said, I would go back again in warmer weather.

The staff was great. The heating conditions in the room were not. We didn’t know how to start the heating system so the first night was really cold. Also we didn’t have cellular service at all to call. I think these issues should be addressed before the stay.

Beautiful property right on the lake. We took advantage of the complimentary kayaks which was lovely. The restaurant has beautiful outdoor seating and food and service were excellent. The only negative is that we couldn’t take advantage of the fire pit or lakefront Adirondack chairs because a wedding was taking place.

No seat cover on toilet, huge chair inside shower that we had to move out. Our room had all the amenities of home-well stocked kitchen, counter and table seats, supply of towels for several days, comfy bed, large closets,hot shower with good pressure, TVs in LR and BR, quick assistance from helpful staff (stuck blinds and recommendations for hiking and shopping). Heated pool was great and we had a thorough tour of the lake from Finn, our pontoon boat captain. Grab and go daily breakfast was perfect and on site restaurant with live entertainment was also nice. Definitely recommend Lake Bomoseen lodge!

This is a great place. I have been coming for about ten years. The lodge has had many upgrades over the years that's made it even better. The new pool is great! The only thing is being charged so much for continental breakfast that has nothing but cold cereal, a few mini muffins, granola bars and yogurt. You use to do a nice continental with muffins, breads, fruits, boiled eggs, danishes. We did not eat breakfast here even being charged. We love the pontoon boat ( very reasonably price for one hour )

We loved the location on Lake Bomoseen and all the available activities. Kayaks, paddleboards, beautiful pool, and pickleball courts, all included in the price. You can also hire a pontoon boat for a ride on the lake. There are a couple of floats to hang out on when you are swimming in the lake. The sunsets were magnificent each night. Also, grab and go breakfast included!
The mosquitoes were bad at night when we tried to sit on the chaies on the grass, but sitting on the balcony outside our room was no ptoblem. There is a good restaurant on the property but closes at 9. I highly recommend Lake Bomoseen Lodge.

We found this lodge while looking for a vacation spot for our anniversary over 4th of July weekend.
From the time we arrived for check-in to the time we checked out, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were informed of their dining hours, and availability of kayaks, paddle boards, life vests (all free to use at any time).
We reserved a lake view room and the view was amazing. When we got to our room there was a wedding taking place on the grounds and one floor of the Taproom (on-site restaurant) was reserved, but there was still more than enough room for us to eat in the restaurant. There's also live music at the Taproom on the weekends. We had restaurants near the lodge in mind based on mixed reviews of the taproom, but we ate at the Taproom all 3 nights and had no complaints.
Every guest there was friendly and respectful of each other. There was no excessive noise and there was always available kayaks and paddle boards. They also have a tiki bar boat and pontoon boat that you can reserve that quite a few guests took advantage of.

We had a very nice stay at the lodge. The property is beautiful, well maintained, clean and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. We loved the large, warm, outdoor pool with plenty of seating, the beautiful planters and hanging flower baskets, as well as the seating outside our room and near the beautiful lake. Although we didn't take advantage of the outdoor amenities such as the kayaks, paddle boards, pickle ball...it was nice they were available. We take advantage of and enjoyed going to the tap room/pub and listening to the live music at night while having some appetizers.
The only suggestions for improvement would be more lighting in our room, an additional towel bar and shelf for toiletries in the bathroom, a safety bar in the shower, a broom and dustpan, and a handrail on the outdoor stairs.
