The girls at the front desk were nice but they put me in a room where I believe the room next to me had long term guests. They were talking in hallway like they were at at party. They were loud until about 11pm. The kids were playing ball in the hallway until 9pm then when they went in their room the kids were banging on the wall and bouncing the ball. Then the rest of the night the tv was on with the volume way up. Terrible experience

It had the feel of government housing. The clientele were milling around a lot on the property just walking the halls. You have to request to have your room cleaned the day before. Which they don't tell you this. Breakfast was in a box. We won't stay there again.

Front service desk and every employee encountered was incredibly nice. My biggest problem was that this is a pet friendly hotel and the couple staying next to us during our entire 3-night stay had no control over their two yappy dogs. Since the rooms had an adjoining door we could hear the dogs clearly. Other than the yappy and noisy pups our stay was relatively nice for the price we paid for our stay. In the future I plan to avoid pet friendly fly hotels unless we are traveling with our four legged family members.

Listen: Before I tell you the rest, I will say this. Despite everything else, our ROOM was quite nice. The bathroom in our room was just right. And most importantly, they did let us check in after midnight when we finally made it to Rutland in a snowstorm.

However: as many others have said, there wasn't anyone at the desk for quite a while when we got there and I had to make a phone call. I got the impression that there was just one guy working there, doing as much as one person can do, which is admirable but not enough to run a hotel.
The hallway had a kind of abandoned/neglected appearance, and the place is definitely not smoke-free, BUT our room did not smell like cigarettes, so that's very good.
Overall, we got the impression of a place that had fallen on hard times, perhaps as a result of the pandemic, and has been dealing with it and trying climb back out of it. As I said, our room was nice and we were happy in it.

We did not take them up on the bagged breakfast in the morning and we did not try out the swimming pool.

Anyways, it was one of the least expensive places in town, near lots of restaurants and things, and it's about half an hour's drive up to Killington. All in all, we probably wouldn't stay there again, but there was no harm done.

Listed as a 2-star property, quickly moving downhill to 1-star territory. Cheapest place for my stay...and for a reason, I guess. Perhaps due to Covid, lack of staff, whatever, the place was not well-maintained. Hallways not vacuumed, king bed had a queen sheet mounted sideways which did not even cover bed (what, no king sheets?!), general sense of better times in the past. Advertised \"hot breakfast\" turned out to be a box with a dead apple, pre-packed muffin, two granola bars and a bottle of water. \"Complimentary\" morning beverage bar had run out of coffee and had only powdered whitener, no milk/cream. I will pay more next time for better place.

The place was very dirty. And rather unsafe. People constantly roaming the halls. Rooms are also rented. We had people above that never stoped banging and jumping and going in and out. We could hear everything got very little sleep. The doors don’t shut properly. The exist were left open on the side of the building allowing whoever to come into the hall. Very uncomfortable feeling. I don’t recommend spending a night here

The room was dirty, bedding stained, the shower and sink didn't drain well. There was a sucked on cough drop om the floor and zero housekeeping was done during my stay. There was visible dust on all surfaces. The wifi didn't work for the entirety of my 3 day stay and the Cable tv worked hit and miss. The few staff members I interacted with were rude and abrasive

Exterior door swipe security missing at back & hard to use at main entrance. Lots of trash around main entry door & junk on top of vending machines. Entry and exit drive caused standard suspension car to bottom out & scrape. Untrained staff could not print our bill. There were no coffee cups in the room. Generally disappointing appearance upon entry to motel. Breakfast was two small bars, an orange, and bottled water.

In need of renovation but comfy bed

It was close to impossible to find a hotel in Vermont during peak foliage season so we ended up here. First, they didn’t have our booking. Contacted hotels.com who sorted it out but it was stressful as the alternative was probably to sleep in our car. Front desk wasn’t very friendly (warmed up later). The positive: the bed was comfortable and the shower was ok, and we could open the windows.

The hotel I think had been closed all summer due to the pandemic and had just reopened so it might explain some things. Like the pool being closed (or rather: LOOKED closed as it was not clean).

The hotel is in dire need of renovation. Some renovations were done but was far from charming. No curtains. The lamp in our bedroom still had the plastic on so it was clearly new. Overhead lamps for reading didn’t work but there were bedside lamps so we didn’t report it.

We heard several in reception complain that many TV channels didn’t work but we never turned on the TV. The shower curtain was new but the bath tub clearly wasn’t new.

We stayed two nights. When we returned the 2nd night the room wasn’t cleaned. We didn’t care and didn’t report it until the next day.

Breakfast was a box with a bottle of water, an orange and two protein bars.

We were happy to get a hotel room at a price that wasn’t outrageous so all in all, we were fine but we won’t stay there again. The area is not great next to the night it there are some restaurants and fast food places. Panera was near.

Stayed here for Columbus Day long weekend on our way to Stowe. Stayed here only bcoz all other places were totally booked. Will never return to any Quality Inn!

HORRIFIC! Absolutely horrific! I spent $175/night at this less than 0 star shanty. Pulling into the property, it was filled with shipping containers, 18 wheeler trucks and contracting equipment, mattresses & chairs everywhere. Reception told us the hotel was used as a homeless shelter during the summer & that they renovated the hotel. LIES! This place NEEDS renovations BADLY. Every door to the hotel has been broken into and unsecured and the lobby and hallways are missing chunks of wall throughout. The walls & ceilings in the room itself were covered with early Jackson Pollock compound just shy of popcorn pattern circa 1960. There’s a partition door to the next room, which I haven’t seen since I was 11 vacationing at Disneyworld. The hallways AND room stink of cigarette smoke thanks to the contractors on site. There’s no complimentary breakfast, nor even a voucher offered for Panera next door for the inconvenience. There’s no WiFi, no pool, no coffee cups, no customer service. I could hear the person above me and next to me during the night and they LITERALLY sounded like they were in the room with me. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. You will be greeted by disappointment and bad attitudes.

It was good enough to stay to save some money but definitely didn’t meet my expectations. Smelled like a casino the entire time, cops were sitting down the hall about 3 rooms down for at least 5 hours and I asked one if everything is alright and he said there definitively isn’t a dead body in there if thats what you were thinking. No floor reducer in between the transfer from carpet to tile.

This is right up there on the top 3 worst hotels I’ve stayed in. We booked for 2 nights but left after the first night. It was dirty, smelly, saw a hyperdermic needle in the parking lot. People yelling and fighting, over all gross.

I did not feel safe at this hotel and actually slept in my pick up truck. There were cracks under the flimsy doors and the security flip locks didnt work. There were 2 doors in my room. One went outside and the other to main hall. I got in the door to hotel without my keycard, it just simply opened. That means ANYONE could just walk in. Parking was sort of secluded at end of building. I could go on but you get the point.

Property is run down. Cleaning staff was helpful and you could tell that they do their best with what they have to work with. We couldn’t get into our room at one point, I went to the front desk to request help and the desk clerk called the maintenance staff to come look at the door for us... he never showed up. Thank goodness one of the cleaning staff helped us get back into our room.

The bed itself was fresh and clean. The front desk staff friendly. The curtain and chair were ripped. The tub was peeling apart. Getting the TV to work was just ridiculous! I’ve never had to connect my iPhone to a tv to get local channels. Needed code and passphrase! The person at the customer service number had no idea how to assist. Then the next morning , it had to be connected all over again.

Ended up not staying and canceling. The place was dirty and musty. The room wasn't even ready. The beds were not made like someone just left. They offered to switch rooms but had the wrong bed configuration. Only a king bed when we wanted to queens. We would of considered but that room smelled musty and there were poop skid marks in the toilet. We left and didn't look back!

Comfortable enough, but the place could use some updating. The carpet is dingy and worn. Our card reader failed two days in a row and had to be re-set. It claims its 10 miles to Killington which may mean the town but the ski resort is at least 16 miles away. Free breakfast but it isn't worth paying for. Ate out the last four days. The tv channel guide was incorrect.

Front desk friendly and accommodating and breakfast lady was very nice. Convenient, quiet. Small workout room with only stationary bike and stair stepper, but both were broken. Photos look like there is a hot tub, but there isn’t one. Indoor pool was covered the entire time, so did not get to use it. Breakfast area so packed with tables that you could not get to the food if there was even one other person there. But surprisingly eggs were not salty (they are usually too salty to eat at hotel breakfast bars). Bed was very comfortable.

We had a terrible visit. Came up to go skiing and were very tired after a long day of driving and skiing. Around 1:00 am, I was awoken to the people next door getting back from a bar. After trying to get back to sleep amidst the ruckus, the fire alarm suddenly went off. Everyone had to leave their rooms and were standing near the doorway. The fire department came and went from room to room checking for the culprit. We were told we could go back into our rooms, but not to go to sleep as they weren't finished. No one every alerted us they were done. I heard the fire trucks leave around 2:00 something. A Manager never came around to let us know what was happening or to make sure everyone was okay. We will never stay here again.

Cleaning Ladies that Do Not Clean. At all.

Second time staying at this property. A good location. A decent value for the money. Comfortable beds. First time: refrigerator badly needed defrosting; was too noisy as a result. Second time: the toilet drained very slowly, and so was sort of clogged. Whoever cleaned the room did not address that; did not make the beds; did not replenish the shampoo so that we had run out (there were three of us in the room); in fact did not do anything except gave us fresh towels. When I brought this up to the manager on duty (Rick?) his reply was \"I will let them know.\" Not quite sure who \"they\" were (the owners? GM? the cleaning staff?) but apparently a remedy or even an apology was too much to expect. When I also brought up the toilet, he asked me if I wanted a plunger. Back in the room, the kids showed me a gummy worm by the bed that must have been sitting there for months (it was rock hard :) in plain sight. Also, a 3\"x3\" piece is ripped out of the carpet in the hallway. How do you do that? And why not replace it?

The hotel seemed like it recently had poor construction. The room we got put in, had a deadbolt that wouldnt work, the lock didnt match the hole in the door. They were more tha. Helpful to.switch my room and make sure that the room had a fridge and microwave. The pool was fine, but no shallow end its stsirs that go into 4deet so if you dont have floats for littles you will have tonjoin them. The pool.room was ok, kinda low budget but the water was decent to.swim in. The bathrooms in the pook room were gross.

The brekafast was good but the room was super small especially with lots of guest in it...very har to.walk around..

Also the keys deactivated alot on us that was super inconvient,but the staff was super helpful thoughout

Staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel is badly in need of updates and renovation. Hallway carpets very dirty. Room clean enough and bed was comfortable but scuffed and chipped paint. Water stains on painting, lamp shade and a wall. Holes in carpet. Noise from room next door due to thin walls and noise from the parking lot right outside the window.

You could tell it was an older place. Carpets worn, bathtub touch up painted, wall paper torn a little etc. But it was clean and had the amenities we look for; frig, microwave, iron, hair dryer and the continental breakfast had a lot of options. Overall satisfied

The hotel is dated and has very strange and not very secure doors in each room that leads to the parking lot. The condition of the rooms were clean for the most part, but in poor old condition. We went to get a drink from the vending machine which was empty and were told that it wouldn't be refilled until during the week. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent. I would likely not book here again however.

Staff was excellent, unfortunately the building needs a lot of updating there's no elevator and the pool doesn't heat properly. The property, however, made me think of what a motor hotel would look like on the last day it was open. Everything was worn, hallway carpets were stained and the floors were uneven. The room was OK but the A/C was really noisy. A broken A/C unit was int he hallway, presumably to be taken to repair - it was there at night and the next day at checkout. The breakfast was fine in a very clean room.

I don't know what else is in the area but I hope there is better than this.

A pleasant and clean hotel in Rutland, Vt.

This hotel was clean, had large room sizes, and a very clean and well stocked bathroom. The location is great too, very close to the Fairgrounds on Route 7 & 4. Very near a great many eateries and other shopping venues. I will stay again when in the area next.

Sunday morning, Aug.25th, at 1AM, I was awakened by LOUD hollering and profanity outside of my room (101). I got out of bed and looked out and there was an older man with no shirt on hollering at a younger man from the other building. The older guys wife was holding on to him and trying to drag him back to the office. Finally the young guy walked away. I nearly called 911. I believe Quality Inn needs security at that location. Also, the room above me was stomping around most of the night. Needless to say, I got very little sleep before my 600+ mile drive. I'm quite certain that is my last stay at Quality Inn

The TV reception was very poor and the channels didn't match up to the guide that was in the room. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom.
I didn't really care for the breakfast, after I tried a bowl of frosted flakes and they tasted old and the eggs were cooked a little too long.

Check in with Paula was a breeze and she was very friendly and cheerful.
The king size bed was very comfortable and I loved the feel of the soft pillows.

This place is disgusting. Walking down the hallway feels like you are visiting a crack house in the ghetto. The cigarette smell has seeped into all of my clothes and my CPAP machine. I will definitely never stay at a Quality Inn again, and I recommend you do the same.

I found a sewing needle in the bed and the bathroom ceiling leaked. I reported both of these to the front desk and they did nothing to make me feel like these things mattered to them.
