Place was disgusting, I would not allow my hunting dog to sleep in those rooms, toilet non functioned, dirty stained bedding and floors, bathroom was nasty.. we left no money back do not care... The entire place smelled like moldy wet dirty socks..
hair and other things on floors. Place should be condemned..

I'm sorry to say that myself and my crew have been staying here, on and off for several years. Our latest visit was a bit disappointing. The floor in my room had not been swept, the bedding cover was stained, the shower curtain was stained in a red ting that looked like a blood stain. The worst part of or stay was the fact that, in the morning, the entrance to the lobby ( from the inside) is locked, so you can not leave the property without going thru an outside door. This door is locked around the 6 o'clock hour so you cannot grab a coffee on your way out....or sit in the lobby waiting for coworkers. The young gentleman who , apparently, is in charge of breakfast was very snappy when i tapped on the door to exit the building. I was not interested in stealing a Brown & Serve sausage, or a day old bagel [ even though I had 4 rooms booked for 3 to 4 nights] before the 6:30 AM starting time. For four 175 to 250 lb guys we really don't eat much. There seems to be a shift in the morning friendliness of the property. The last two mornings, i took my crew to McDonalds just down the road......a little bit more friendly.....unfortunately, i have future business in Rutland......we may try staying across the street......

The room was fine, the staff was horrible. I stayed one night for work, I needed to extend my stay and waiting at the front desk from 7:15 until almost 8:30 and no one showed up. I called the hotel and of course when I called I was standing at the front desk and the phone rang right in front of me. I have to go back to Rutland VT for work again and I will not be staying there

The breakfast was good. The drive to Kilington from the hotel wasn't too bad. The room was nice and spacious and pretty clean overall. It did have a strange smell but it wasn't too bad that we couldn't deal with it. The heat was blasting when we checked in and the fridge was turned off when we arrived but both of those were resolved in time. The pool and sauna were great options after a day of skiing. Generally a good place to stay and would consider it again.

They had no hot water. I could not shower. They didn’t tell me that when I checked in and let me play with the faucets for 30 minutes before I went and asked about the hot water. Overall horrible stay. Avoid at all costs.

The first room we checked into had dead bugs on the sheets. They switched us to a clean room, but it was disconcerting.

The mattress was the least comfortable mattress I have slept on in years.

We arrived late (~1am), and had to ring a doorbell while waiting in the cold for desk service. I am familiar with special late check-in procedures, but we were given no special late check-in instructions. The confirmation email said we would be greeted upon arrival.

Parking was inadequate for the number of rooms.

The price paid, $250/night, is enough for a 3-star hotel in a major city. This was essentially a 1-star hotel, not a 2-1/2 star hotel as described in its listing. The cost has entirely to do with renting during ski season, but, while I am sure they can command a premium, for $250/night there should be clean sheets and comfortable mattresses. A hotel in a major city has high costs that justify $250/night. Paying that amount for a hotel of this quality in the sticks is outright robbery.

Sorry, but the pictures are showing the lobby and breakfast area in a very nice way. The beds and chairs in the rooms are new, but everything else is old and not clean. There were hair all over the bathroom floor and ants in the main room. The room was not cleaned the second day and upon request they changed the towels but still did not clean the room and for some reason only did one (1) bed new. Breakfast was not adequate - they ran out of milk and sausages and it took them 15 minutes to replace it. Not what I expected.

I highly recommend the Days Inn in Rutland, VT. The place is sparkly clean from the lobby to the pool to the bedrooms. Pavon at the front desk is polite, efficient, friendly and very accommodating. He is an asset to the Days Inn and made our stay very enjoyable. The amenities are great and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of hotel. We will return for sure!

No carpet in the room. Floor was not clean. Bathroom corners were dirty. Towels were very thin and only 2 bath towels on the rack. No extra tissues on hand. No dresser in the room and only 4 hangers in the closet area. No sprinkler system in the room. Front desk was left unmanned for at least 20 minutes. I would not recommend this hotel.

Several guests, people that more appeared to live there were in the back parking lots nightly tailgating with drugs, drinking and bb gun ( shooting squirrels and a chair. it was noisy, felt unsafe and made the stay one that I will not repeat when returning to Vermont in the future.

Improper Room Allocation Despite No-Pet Request\n\nI

During the hotel reservation I explicitly mentioned about no pet or animal friendly room but they allocated a room which full of dog smell and was stayed with my dress and hair everyday.
Also it caused breadth issue causing caught due to cleanliness and quality of the room.

So next day night I had to talk with the manager and they allocated mew fresh room and we survived.

1. The water pressure in the shower is terrible. It sounds like a nick-pick but it's seriously annoying after a long day and you just want to have a long hot shower.
2. The hairdryer is more of a 'hair fryer'..loud and hot but not much air moving... bring your own hair dryer.

When we were greeted the person checking us in was very nice. But on day 2 we found cockroaches in our bathroom. When I told him, he acted surprised and said they never get cockroaches. Like somehow I brought them from my flight from the west coast. Yeah, didn't happen. So they sprayed it and left the poison bug spray in the bathroom. I don't want that in my bathroom! Just take care of it! The breakfast was okay. I prefer when there are scrambled eggs or omelettes but most people are fine with this kind of breakfast, bagels, cereal, hard boiled egg, muffins. So if that's your thing, you'll enjoy it. We ate out. Room was quiet. It was good for what it was, close to what we needed. But so far not my favorite place in the area. Seemed like lots of motorcyle people or campers stayed here so maybe it's the perfect place if you're on your from one place to another.

Checked in & staff was very kind & professional but once I was inside the room, I decided not to stay there because the room was very dirty - hair on floor, in shower, sink & toilet. Sticky dried up beverage spills on floor which looked like they had been there for a while collecting dirt, questionable “spots” on various walls. The bed sheets looked clean, but that was about it! I did not report this, I just checked out b/c I was disgusted & wanted to get out of there asap!

The front desk guy was really nice and good at his job. The rooms were awful - I asked to switch once as there was dirt everywhere on the floor and it smelt really bad. He switched me no problem and as I entered the second room there was not only dirt on the floor but food scraps of rice as well everywhere. I honestly just sucked it up because the room smelt better and just cleaned the room myself. Maybe the vacuum broke? Anyways not worth my money again.

As a former housekeeper, I know you are supposed to check that any and all appliances in a room work before leaving the room. But for some reason, our fridge was turned off, and I ended up having to throw away at least $50 in food that was for the second half of my road trip, leaving me with nothing. I have been meaning to ask for a refund since they cannot deal with it at hotel level.

The room was recently renovated and was very clean. The bed was great, the floor was wood-like (not carpet) and very clean.

Negatives:
Terrible water pressure in the shower...worst I can remember.
Hair dryer was too hot. I went and bought my own from Walmart for $10 that was better.

This property is a suitable place to stay for a place to sleep. The check in staff was friendly and it was quick. The room was equipped with basic amenities like fridge, microwave and soaps - however, the property had a distinct odor in the hallways and clearly the entire property had previously been smoked in. The level of cleanliness was lacking a bit. I would find another property the next time I am in the area.

The reviews said it had been updated recently. The room was updated with new furniture and beds but it was very musty. The bathroom had definitely not been updated and there was mold in the shower. The staff was helpful and friendly but definitely lacks any type of deep cleaning. The grab and go breakfast is extremely limited and carb heavy.

This property has been recently updated with fresh paint and new furnishings. It is lovely. Staff was fabulous. I wondered at breakfast if someone called out from working that shift as the breakfast buffet was bare and empty cups/plates were scattered about. It was a busy morning, and I am always surprised and disappointed when guests leave these items on a table four feet from a wastebasket. An employee arrived and attended to the space beautifully.
Our room was very comfortable. I did notice that the coffee maker did not work and there was quite a bit of dust and debris at the head of the bed between the side table and headboard, where I found the TV remote. Otherwise, a clean room. The pool area was also very clean and enjoyable! Water was a bit cooler than anticipated, but we still had a great time (sauna, too!).

The hotel itself was OK. It was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a little dirty, but the people that they had around the building hanging out felt unsafe. Parking was good for the first night after that. No I guess they had a bunch of fisherman that where staying there, They parked there boats in the front parking, taking up all the spaces so they could run their cords to their boat blocking the walkway and taking up all the spaces to park. I had to park all the way out back, behind the hotel. My room in the front on the second floor.
