I couldn’t be happier with my stay. Everything was perfect and I love the train theme of the inn. The inn is very clean and the accommodations were excellent. The Steaming Tender restaurant located within easy walking distance from the inn will not disappoint and is a must see. The restaurant is located in the old train station and has been masterfully restored. The food is very good and the atmosphere is spot on if you’re a fan of trains. These places should be on your list of things to check out when your visiting Palmer, Massachusetts!

The inn was very clean and comfortable, we had a great time, staying at the inn, looking at the history of the location as well the old photographs on the wall, also, I would recommend the restaurant that they also own that is steaming tender restaurant. What a beautiful historic building as well staff and food was great. Also I wanted to shout out to the Palmer restaurant if you’re looking for breakfast a nice small place with great food and the owners were great.

Yes staff very pleasant and accommodating.
Our room has always been very clean.
The only down side for us was no cable TV anymore.
It is now Roku and we don't do streaming and Roku offers only reruns or repackaged mostly old shows. So we had no live TV. Only Netflix. Thank goodness I brought my tablet!!

We loved the train theme. Room was very clean, sheets were lovely. Palmer was a nice quiet town with a few restaurants.
Coffee and muffins in the morning.
We stayed overnight to go to the Big E. Was about 25 minutes away and easy to get to.

I loved all of the train paraphernalia. I also loved that the owners also own the restaurant up the street, The Steaming Tender. Because of our stay we had priority seating and a free dessert. Its little in some ways but it felt happy and special to us. :-)

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Inn. We had room 2 which is on the 1st floor. It is a restored, old home that has its normal creeks and groans as most authentic older homes have. It is close to the road and between railroad tracks so it can be a bit noisy at times. The bed was worn and sometimes difficult to find the perfect spot.
The highlight of the stay was the Steaming Tender restaurant which is owned by the same as the inn. The restaurant had great food and was located in a fully restored train station from the 18880's. The tracks are still active and will have an occasional train or 2 during dinner.
We would gladly visit again in the future .

We stayed in the Engineer's Suite, which has its own entrance, kitchen, and living room--all well supplied with both breakfast items and entertainment (a book on the local railroad and a jigsaw puzzle!). All accommodations were comfortable, instructions were clear, and help was readily available for the one question we had (about the checkout procedure). Would stay there again if in the area.

It is a historic authentic train station turned into 5-6 rooms. Antique furniture, quiet, safe neighborhood. No staff on site, no service but clean and spacious. I like the breakfast items and coffee that are available basically 24-7. Stairway is steep to second floor. Rooms have no fridge or microwave but can use the fridge and microwave on first floor.... I will go there again!!

This Inn is fabulous. All train themed. All the rooms are different but all the decor is tastefull and the owners have tried to keep everything as near to the original as possible. The room we had was extremely well planned, roomy, maintained to a very high standard and spotless. There was a seperate sitting room with a table and chairs, which was very cozy. The bed was huge, very comfortable and good quality linen used. Plenty of storage space for clothes and cases. Bathroom was very clean and spacious, the free toiletries were high end and plentiful. Hair dryer was also available. Free continental breakfast, with yoghurts, fruit and muffins (freshly made) tea and coffee facilities in the 'lobby' available 24/7 and good choice. Fridge and microwave also there for use. Ate at the Steaming Tender which is within walking distance, EXCELLENT.... Food, staff and atmoshpere was just A1. All the staff we encountered were, friendly, polite and very helpful. Will stay again.

The Trainmasters Inn was a delightful discovery. We were looking for a place about midway on our journey from Maine to NYC and discovered it on Expedia in a search specifically for a B&B. We both enjoy trains and decided to try it.
Although we didn't ever see our hosts, we were in constant communication via text.
The Inn is unique and wonderful, our room was very attractive and comfortable and we loved the train theme.
Breakfast consisted of home made muffins, yogurt, orange juice and coffee. We ended up taking the muffins for a later snack and having a bigger breakfast at the nearby Day and Night Diner which was also cute and quirky with a fun atmosphere and great food.
Before we left, we drove down to the nearby restaurant run by the family and enjoyed the various vintage train cars on display.
Altogether a great stop on our journey. We'll be back!

Whilst the instructions for gaining access to the accommodation were perfectly adequate we missed the opportunity to connect with the host in person. Probably of less concern to US based guests than ourselves who were not as familiar with the area. Everything was neat and tidy and more than spacious enough for our needs. One potential issue with guests being left to manage themselves is that some will take advantage of the host’s generosity rather than limiting their consumption of provisions to what is expected. Didn’t see the host or staff hence the rating.

We enjoyed our stay at the Trainmasters Inn. It's a cozy little place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable.

There was minimal interaction with the staff, which we were fine with. When messaged, staff responded promptly. Breakfast muffins were delicious.

The only con would be the noise level from the floor above but that isn't really something that they can control. If this is something that would bother you, then I would recommend a room not on the first floor.

We would definitely stay again.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 6.

The facility, which appears to be a very old building, which was totally restored and spotless. There is no service or employees on site. Internet connectivity was spotty at best and for the most part useless if you needed a consistent and reliable connection. We were on the 1st floor, and could hear other guests walking in the floor above us early in the morning so if peace and quiet is important, you may want to consider other options. Although breakfast was advertised, it consisted of muffins (which were very good) orange juice, yogurt and coffee via a Kurig machine. There was no milk or creamer for the coffee. There was only one small table with 2 chairs, so we had to eat "breakfest" sitting on our bed. At best this should be advertised as a continental "to go" breakfast If you are looking for a quaint old inn, Trainmasters may work for you. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 6.

TRAINMASTERS INN was wonderful! Beautiful and tastefully done. I loved the decor and the historical theme to it. Very easy checkin and checkout process, bed very comfortable and room very clean and spacious. And the muffins that were left for you in the kitchen area were delicious! I would definitely stay again . I am a travel medical person so this was a great little gem when I needed somewhere to stay during a winter storm and allow me to get to my assigment the next day without having to travel too far to get there.
