Clean room but only given towels for 2 people. Booked to hotel for 4 ppl when I asked for more towels one staff member was not nice and had an attitude but did give them to me. The rooms “appeared” modern but they were not. Looked like surface level cleanliness. It could use an upgrade and doesn’t look like other Howard Johnson’s I’ve stayed in. There’s a Ring doorbell at the entrance where you need to be buzzed in? Super odd and made us feel as though the neighborhood is unsafe. The front desk worker looks miserable and lacked customer service in his presentation. Do not recommend, even to save yourself money.

When I booked to stay in this place I was not expecting a 5stars hotel taking in consideration the price. All depends on what you are used with. I went to the Big E festival and I just needed a bed to sleep in and all the hotels were booked or extremely expensive so I decided just to try this place. Mistake… if you are a clean person don’t go there, entrance filthy, carpets dirty, room not vacuumed, sheets dirty( to me it seemed that was not changed from previous clients). Beautiful view from back room, only good thing I can say about. Won’t see me anymore

Ask About Smoking or Nonsmoking

I made the reservation through hotels.com and then was very annoyed to find that the room was a smoking room. I didn't even know they had smoking rooms anymore. Motel generally seemed kind of dumpy even for a Howard Johnson but main problem was hotels.com.

Average. Basic. Beds were ok. Room was ok. Nothing terrible, but nothing great either. The hotel breakfast offerings are minimal - juice was out of service, 2 choices of cereal, bread for toast, a couple dry mini muffins, bananas, and a couple very small yogurt options. There’s a decent selection of restaurant choices in the area for lunch or dinner. On the upside, my car didn’t get stolen overnight.

we originally were placed in a room that smelled mildewy and like smoke. staff quickly found us a room that didn't smell like smoke. The mildew smell was still there but less present. It was last minute that we decided to stay in western MA and we picked this place because it had breakfast. Unfortunately, breakfast was cereal, mini-muffins, and toast.

The rooms were not bad. The parking lot was well lit, but I was not prepared for the charge of an extra hundred dollars when I got to the hotel after I asked the manager when he asked me the card for incidentals. Was there a deposit to the room he said no because I had paid full price on hotels.com Then the next day I looked at my bank statement and see that they had charged me an extra hundred dollars I talked to the manager. He said he would refund the money but it takes 5 to 6 business days. This would’ve been OK. It had if I had been informed from the beginning but when you make a trip with a limited budget is very hard to wait 5 to 6 business days for a refund if it’s a standard practice, then inform people such not surprise them when they get there that’s very frustrating. Everything falls and rises on communication. If you don’t communicate with your staff with your procedures, then don’t surprise your customers. I was told one thing by one manager, and one thing by another manager a problem that proper communication would have taken care of instead of leading people customers feel frustrated

The water did not train properly while taking a shower. Had to stop intermittently to have water drain down before continuing to avoid standing in dirty water. During check in/out staff did not seem like they knew what they were doing. Noticed that my credit card was charged twice and waiting for it to all drop before my credit card company is able to help with the situation.

The desk man in the morning was very nice. After we checked out, he saw that I was having trouble carrying a coffee cup (from the breakfast room) to the car without spilling, and he came out of our unit with larger coffee cups to give to me. Very gracious, generous and alert. Made a great memory. Great employee. The stay was high value for the price.

This place is filthy . It says it’s nonsmoking but it reeks of smoke . It is filthy with weird stains on the rugs and shower curtains that looks like specs of blood . The front door and the bathroom door both look like they’ve been kicked in a few times. And there was a huge circle on the glass that looked like the happy face killer had been there . Also the ac makes a huge banging and ticking noise .

my friend and I went for a baby shower and needed to find a place to stay for the night. We chose them because the price was not bad for one night.. and we split it between us both. The were good two full size beds , comfortable beds, bathroom nice size , everything was clean; the heater worked good.. they had continental breakfast.. cereal, bread , muffins, coffee, yogurt, juice , & fruits.. it was good to get us through lunch... We didn't use any of the other amenities because we were only there one night.. over all very good.

This hotel takes reservations for age 18 but will not allow them check in. Stranded age 17 & 18 after 7 hours flying across the US without a place to stay. No recommended place for them either when asked. Even took money for early check in with their credit card but then denied them check in.

Apparently I booked a smoking room which I did not want but being that no other rooms were available we took it. Well it definitely was a smoking room! It stunk. We were booked for 2 nights but only stayed one. I couldn’t stomach staying the 2nd night.

The room was on the 2nd floor it had a small balcony which over looked a pond and we left the door open all night 2 get the fresh air in and felt completely safe doing so. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cute. It's sits right on a pretty lake. The room was a little musty when we first got there, and the breakfast was pretty limited but everything else about the experience was positive, we would totally stay there again
