We stayed here for mine and my husband’s graduation celebration weekend, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, adding a special touch to an already momentous occasion.

The hotel is basically a Quality Inn like building but the location and the service provided by the staff is what truly makes it a special place to stay. The rooms are typical hotel rooms with visible wear and tear, specifically the washrooms in the room, needing new caulking around the tub and paint needing a touch up.
The toilet in my room when flushed, had a whistle like a tea kettle, so I was lucky to be in room alone because this would have woken my spouse had he been with me. In the four night I stayed, the shower temperature was lukewarm. I spoke to the front desk on one occasion about it so the next day it was definitely better but the following day it was back to just barely warm…The pool and hot tub were a nice offering at the end of a busy day.
All of the staff are extremely professional and helpful.
I had two spa treatments while I stayed. One was amazing and worthwhile for the cost, but I added on a foot soak, which was awkward and literally being provided a tub of room temperature water and a fizzy thrown in while I sat alone, until I felt I was done? Very weird, as there was very little interaction and hot water was added from a kettle. I guess there is normally champagne provided but since I’m not a drinker I declined. I did get a bottle of water. Since they were trying to make it upscale, a glass of ice water maybe with lemon, might have seemed more fitting.

Room clean. Staff was friendly. However, elevator not working during stay was a downside and it was hard to take a HOT shower. At best the water was lukewarm. Poor cell reception could only use phone on WiFi but that even would drop calls. Unfortunately, if I have a choice on hotel stay next time I’m in town it wont be to stay here.

I truly enjoyed my stay at D. Suites & Spa despite how it started off-- the elevator is broken and not enough staff to help as was promised in a text. That was hard. I was also disappointed that there wasn't a microwave in my room or a dresser. The breakfasts were a little disappointing, but the bacon was delicious. Aside from these cons, the hotel staff was very accommodating when I needed to hire my own massage therapist to come on site, as they had no appointments available at the spa. They generously allowed us to use a room on the 1st floor to make up for the elevator situation. This was by far the most hospitable and generous response to our situation. It made up for the cons 1000%. The room was ready when I arrived, clean and spacious, with an amazing fireplace. It was relaxing and I was ecstatic when I was able to actually schedule facials at their spa. The aesthetician did an outstanding job and made the whole experience so enjoyable and refreshing. I'm planning to return, but will schedule services ahead of time. And I'll hope and pray the elevator is working. Thank you to Noah!!! He hooked us up so nicely. I'm beyond grateful.

I’ll start with positives. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and we liked that they changed the selection each day.

The negatives, about an hour before we arrived with my elderly mother I received a text message informing me the only elevator was not working that day and would be fixed by the next day. We stayed three nights and it was still broken when we left. We had to climb four flights of stairs to get to and from our room. Things break, but we found out from staff that it had been broken for several days prior to our arrival and to not be told until the last minute leaving us no time to make other arrangements was upsetting. The stairs were very challenging for us and many others. On arrival there was a “bellhop” to assist with our bags. The “bellhop” was a small young child. He was very helpful but they needed to have grown adults carrying people’s heavy bags. There was no bellhop present at any other time during our stay. We called the front desk for assistance when we checked out and someone did assist us but we knew he wasn’t happy to be carrying our bags. Our refrigerator was also broken. We had planned to keep food in the room and when we let the front desk know we were told they couldn’t do anything to fix or replace it until we left. The front desk clerk that was there late afternoon/evenings was rude and condescending and made us feel uncomfortable any time we spoke to him. He had a terrible attitude.

This was a wonderful surprise to find this little gem in Holyoke! The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, the bed was firm and the breakfast was very nice! The only negative I could see is the elevator is a bit slow...but that really isn't even a big deal! Had a great stay and will return!

Housekeeping was hit or miss, one day they changed out towels, did not make the bed. Another day they did both. Unsure. Room was sandy so no sweeping done. Both the heater and the fireplace were incredibly loud, the heater making ticking noises that kept waking me up. Overall, the stay was fine. Would maybe stay here again but wouldn't pay to upgrade to fireplace room. Pool and hot tub seemed clean. Gym did not have sanitizing spray from what I saw.

The main lobby of the hotel is very nice. The room looks nice when you first walk in, but you begin to notice that it’s outdated. The window was missing a sheer curtain, but the clips that used to hold a share curtain were still there — they should’ve been removed or the curtain should’ve been replaced.

The sink in the bathroom had a very slow drain that resulted in the sink being dirty after something like washing my face or brushing my teeth because all the soap would just stick to the side sides of the sink. Very off-putting. There was no microwave in the room— Even though there’s a space for a microwave.

Doors are paper thin and you can hear everything in the hall.

But what I found most frustrating was when I was preparing to leave the next morning, I had just finished getting ready and I was packing everything away and at 11am *on the dot* housekeeping came to the room. I told them that I was finishing packing up and was going to be out of the room in just a moment. And literally, minutes later, I get a call from the front desk with a reminder of the 11 AM checkout time. I understand that, yes, I’m supposed to be out by 11 AM but the multiple addresses to my room to remind me to get before 11:05am out was in really poor form — made me realize I’m just a dollar sign.

Because of this, I won’t be staying there again.

Jimmy at the front desk was amazing, though. Only good thing about my experience.

Seems like they are slowly renovating and maybe we got an old room? Bathroom was really old and overall, the room was sparse and worn down. Breakfast was inedible, coffee was sub par. I personally loved everything about the hotel. You walked in and it was very clean and the staff was super friendly and very informative. The room was very clean and spacious and the Wi-Fi was fast and there was no buffering. The breakfast was really nice and yummy. There were free, orange juice and 24 hour hot chocolate and coffee which I liked. The hot tub was amazing on my joints and in the hot tub. There was a view of the window that faced the sun so you can see the sunset from inside. The TV channels were nice there is Family Guy or South Park or Futurama to watch if you’re bored. I kinda hoped that there was YouTube on the TV but that’s OK. There is a stove top and a sink and a fridge for you to use which I thought was really neat. And it came with plates and silverware and glasses that you could use and wash which I thought was so nice. My only complaint was that the air conditioner was controlled by the wall thermostat and for some reason it would not cool down the setting would either only allow to turn it on or off or heat. There was no cooling option except for a fan. There was no fan in the bathroom, but that’s OK.

. The pool, hot tube looked very inviting, but didn't bring a bathing suit. Breakfast room was also nice to have, serving a well thought out menu. My only thought that was negative was the entrence was hard to find. Would stay there again and bring my bathing suit.

We spent a weekend at this hotel. To be honest, I think I was expecting a little better based on the strong reviews. The property was in decent shape but the rooms were incredibly sparse and basic: our bathroom shower curtain liner fell off repeatedly, no ventilation in there, room furniture was dated and basic, odd and lacking decor. It felt lower quality than our typical Hampton Inn. The breakfast was also only okay (not sure what the hype is), with terrible coffee, and the gym was incredibly hot and small, with limited equipment. I will say: the staff were friendly and helpful, and the common areas felt nice (the lobby, the pool, the breakfast nook, etc.). They also offer daily maid service which is unheard of anymore. The location was sort of odd but was close to the things we wanted to do (Northampton). I can't say I'd stay here again, unfortunately, though I do think it's a decent value if the price is right.

The elevator was dirty and had a horrible, shirilling noise when opening and closing.
Our room had black hair strands all over the blanket and under the blanket. The sink did not empty properly and had flakes of something gross.

Room was clean, it was convenient drive to my job, but my shower/sink consistently was cold. I stayed there about 6 days/nights and at least 4 of those I had cool water showers. I reported the issue to the front desk like on a Tuesday or Wednesday, got a call saying \" we made some adjustments \", issue resolved that same day, but the next day, same issues. I didn't bother reporting it again. I just dealt with a cool shower in the middle of winter in Holyoke MA. That was the only problem I had.

There were many good things about the stay however; our room was super close to the interstate and the traffic and trucks starting rolling by at 5:30 am. I searched for earplugs and it was not conducive to easy sleep. I would not stay again unless the room was far away from the highway. Be forewarned.
The people were super nice and the room was fine. Not great sleep was not!
