Great staff greeting, room heated well on the coldest weekend in over a decade. Major rust area in bathroom tub, vanity light burned out, and fire detector was buzzing loudly. Detector removed by maintenance promptly by request, but not replaced during visit.

The beds were super comfortable and the staff was really nice. The rooms were a bit dingy, looked like the chair had never been vacuumed off ever and like they don’t move anything when they vacuum or sweep. The water pressure was really good and nice hot water. Ceiling fan did not work but that was okay because we needed the moisture in the room. Bathroom sink was clogged, desk light didn’t work and DO NOT PAY FOR UPGRADED SNACKS, you won’t get them. The mini fridge is a nice size but no freezer to re-freeze your freezer packs. We were there for 5 nights so we had food to bring back.

I did not realize this reservation was not cancellable. I had to cancel my entire trip as my friend is in hospice. I pleaded with the hotel manager to at least defer my stay so that I could use it at another time, explaining why I needed to cancel my trip. She first lied to me, saying that Expedia won't let her do this. But Expedia told me that it was up to the hotel manager.

Heartless and unethical. Please do not stay at this hotel.

I arrived to check in at the South Deerfield Red Rood Inn instead of West Springfield where I was mistakenly booked. Deerfield had availability and contacted the West Springfield Red Roof Inn - they advised I book a room with Deerfield and they would work on refunding me. I have screenshots of the conversations showing this.

No one will refund me. I have called the front desk at West Springfield and they directed me to the general manager’s voicemail. I have left her two messages this week and NO response at all. How can this even be called hospitality?

If you’re considering staying at a Red Roof Inn, don’t do it! You’ll be better off sleeping in your car.

I have photo evidence to show this properly was not clean or sanitary... Dirty bathroom, moldy bathroom ceiling, soap scum all over the shower head.. My wife notice a dried up corner in the main sink . The tub was so dirty my wife refused to stwp it to shower.

Our room was clean and modern, but there was a very strong smell of old cigarette smoke. We sensed this smell in the lobby during our check-in, and the same smell was in our room, even though it was in a different building. My wife had difficulty breathing and could not sleep for most of the night. For almost $200 per night, this was a pretty bad experience for our family.

Toilet seat was very loose, remote did not work, which they fixed right away. Place could use some updating. We were there for UMass football game with family and we had 4 rooms total.

During our stay I kept thinking “lipstick on a pig.” The room was somewhat “updated” - fresh coat of paint, including on the toilet seat!, and new floors. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathtub was chipped. The comforter was stained and disgusting (thankfully we brought our own). Only two towels. The bathroom door was cracked (but painted over like everything else in the room). Full size mirror placement was odd - the gap in the curtains allowed you to look into the room at the mirror that reflected the bed. Door to the outside was was dented up - like someone had kicked it several times. Will never stay there again.

Never had such a bad experience- room smells like leftover food, only one TV channel to watch (weather channel), bathtub clogged, sheets had hair and blood on it clearly not changed, front desk told us they didn’t have extra clean sheets….we booked for two nights and requested a refund on a second night because it is inhabitable. The management declined our request even they didn’t have other room for us to move to. We were there for the Family Weekend, and it ended super disappointed!!!!

Stayed here 4th of July weekend. Came back this weekend for a trip to Six Flags New England and stayed in room 139.

The good: bedding was clean and bathroom was clean.

The bad: Paid for a Premium King, was given a standard. Room was as bare bones as they come. No alarm clock, (3) pillows for (2) people on a king bed for God sake give (4). (1) Wash Cloth for 2 people for 2 nights.

What sent me over the edge is that the room needed a gut rehab: Peeling paint in some areas in the room and bathroom, main lamp had no working bulb, draw handles were rusted, there was slight mold on the ceiling. The room needed a major update it looked like an by the hour motel. I have stayed in about 40 hotels in the last year and this room was one of the biggest dumps I stayed in. Mind you the price point for this \"premium king\" was $307.00 for two night. DO BETTER!

Staff was friendly but the property condition left to be desired. Room was humid and smelled moldy the entire time we were there. Floors were damp, drawers were grimy/had evidence of water damage, paint was chipped in a few places. Bed was ok. Towels and linen were clean. Bathroom was clean. Location is great by car.

The place has potential, nothing like a reasonably priced, decent, clean motel with no frills in a good location. Issues seem fixable, I’m hoping they get to it.

I have stayed at other cheap motels/red roofs inn and this one didn’t quite hit the mark. We picked it because it was the cheapest option for the Big E; in retrospect we regret our decision.

The overall stay was not good at all due to the cleanliness of the room and the customer service. We paid more for an upgraded bedding and snack king suite and Within the first few minutes of checking in we found a dirty vaping device in the so-called clean bedding. The front desk attendant informed us we could not switch rooms or get our bedding changed because the hotel was at capacity. He was dismissive of our complaints and offered us no solution. We also found old room key cards in the bedding, further indicating the bedding was dirty and/or not changed. We discussed this matter further in the morning with another front desk staff and he was also dismissive, telling us to inform the general manager who was not available. We have filed a formal complaint with the Red Roof corporate office and will be contacting Expedia customer service as well.

The gentleman at the desk was very friendly but our room smelled terrible of some sort of spray. There was a chocolate bar wrapper on the floor beside the bed so likely not vacuumed. There was a hole in the floor. Did I mention the smell!! We had to have our door open to try to air it out before we went to bed.

My fiance and 18 month old daughter booked a room here. The room smelled like cigarettes. They gave us 2 more room keys to try. The next room smelled like
Mold and feet, and the third room’s bathroom was disgusting. We asked for a refund but the manager Lis said she didn’t smell any cigarettes and that the rooms were fine. She was a disgusting and very rude woman and hung up on us. We should have looked at the reviews because we aren’t the only ones that have went through something like this. Still haven’t got a refund. If you value your health, don’t stay here.

It was the least expensive lodging in the Springfield area. It had at least SOME city bus service. It was not too far from Springfield proper. The accommodations were fairly comfortable and spacious. Eateries were near by.

They need more sidewalks and better street lighting for pedestrians. On a few rare occasions, we had a noise problem at night, but this was fortunately rare. The room was generally comfortable, but I noticed that the toilet seat was starting to come loose.

Air conditioning didn’t work right, the whole room felt wet/damp and smelled musty really badly. There were dead bugs in the beds, pillows were so flat we could not even fold them in half for comfort. Call to front desk went unanswered. Bathroom had a lot dirt in the corners and mildew stains. We arrived at 10:15 at night and felt very uncomfortable with so many around that didn’t look like they were paying guests. I’ve stayed a lot of places. This by far is not only unsanitary but unsafe. None of us slept and finally packed up and just drove the 3 hours home.

There was filth covering the chair, dirty bathroom, stuff on the floor behind the bed and table, broken phone covered in sticky stuff. The lady at the reception desk was rude and when I mentioned safety she said they have a lot of drug dealers and prostitutes. We didn't feel safe and left a full day early just so we wouldn't have to stay in that place a second night. Gross! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

I stayed here when I went to a show at the Eastern States Expo. Normally I stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott, but it was booked so could only get one nite there.. Red Roof was just across the parking lot, so I booked 2nd nite there. Was told I could not check in early, it was pouring rain, and was also told I would only be able to wait in lobby 30 min. The rooms smelled like cheap perfume over musty odor. Would only go back if I had no option.

All of the front desk reps were wonderful however we dealt with Deb and Jeffrey most and they were amazing. They were very professional but they were also pleasant and patient. Jeffrey always had a smile on his face and went above and beyond his front desk duties. Deb was very quick to assist with finding us better rates and resulted in us saving money. Because of the 2 of them we stayed at Red Roof instead of looking for a different property as we are in the process of finding a new residence and Red Roof is our home until then. Housekeeping and maintenance staff was also very professional and helpful. they have a great team.

It was a decent stay. We needed something fast during a weekend that was extremely hard to find a vacancy and they had one room left. The room was clean but the bathroom needs renovation. Desperately needs a new tub. It worked for what we needed for one night.

There were only 2 bath towels in the room. I guess that is standard. We had 4 people in our party for the one room. I asked the gentleman at the front desk for 2 more towels and he was giving some push back about giving me extra. That was a turn off. I don't know, I am paying for my stay. Can I please have some extra towels??

The tub was dirty, shower curtain had mildew, and the rug was not vacuumed. The price gouging was insane. Had to pay $526 for 2 nights because it was graduation weekend, any other weekend, it would have cost $250.

We waited too long to find a room for our daughter's graduation so this was the only one available. Our fault. There were four of us checked into a room with two double beds. There were two towels for the four of us. I figure no problem I'll just go ask for a couple more. The guy on duty says no more than two towels per room at a time. I explain that there are four of us registered. He says doesn't matter, it's company policy. Had to return a used towel after each shower to replace it with a clean one.

The pillows were about an inch and a half thick so when I was asking for the towels I asked for some extra pillows. Nope, four per room. Company policy.

All this for $350 for one night. Kinda reminded me of a hostel.

As a frequent traveler I always look under the sheets. Mattress cover was completely disgusting covered in crumbs, dirt, red and brown stains. Definitely wasn’t sleeping there and still working on transactions to be reversed. Want to really see how clean a place is look under the sheets.
