The staff are nice, and the place is pet friendly. It is close to a bunch of restaurants and shopping centers. It is hard to find. It is behind a 5 Guys, and there is no sign showing that Red Roof Inn is in the area. Safety of the area is not there. There were people hanging out in the parking lot. The person staying in the room next to me kept saying homophobic slurs, and some lady was screaming in the parking lot.
About the room: On the surface, the room looks nice. Upon further observation, the floor was dirty, there are boogers smeared on the walls, and the top linen on the blanket smelled of urine.

There is a $50.00 fee that is not stated on website that they say is refundable, and REQUIRED, definitely dishonest and did not receive my so-called $50 deposit back for over a week. Also they bother you with text messages and phone calls to the room just for stupid marketing purposes and got woken out of a sleep because of it. Would not stay at this location again.

The hotel raised room rates significantly due to local events in the area. While I understand pricing may fluctuate with demand, the increase felt excessive and impacted the overall value of the stay.

The room was disappointing: It was dusty, the floors were not clean, the furniture was worn, and the shower fixtures were rusty. The overall condition did not match the price paid.

Won’t stay again.

The room had a very STRONG unpleasant smell and was told couldn't change rooms because they were completely booked and I booked through a 3rd party. I asked for some kind of disinfectant or smell spray, never received. I had to buy my own and use my expensive parfume to mask the smell. I was up all night coughing from the smell, had to put vicks vapor rub in my noise.I asked for a discount and was told it will go on a card/ not fully funded so that i can go elsewhere but everywhere i looked was booked. I also asked for an iron/ ironing board and was told only certain rooms have them. The bathroom door knob on both sides were broken and a dent in the door, my hubby noticed what looked like slashes from a knife in curtains. I will NEVER stay here again I dont care how reasonable the price is or if they gave me a room for free and I stayed in all types of hotels that are low budget.

Stayed here as part of a school event, so we had several rooms booked for a few days. The rooms were very dirty, especially the floors. The bathroom was fine but the floor was also dirty. I paid for an”upgrade”, but my room was no different than others. My room also had an odor, but after running the ac for a bit, it wasn’t as bad. A student said this was the worse hotel he has ever stayed at. I said I have stayed at worse but was almost just as worse. You get what you pay for. While we had a place to stay and sleep, I would suggest spending a little extra to stay at a nicer hotel down the street.

The front desk person was great. The room was clean but smelled terrible. (The window didn’t open so we couldn’t air it out.) The floors were slimy but probably just from the cleaning products. The refrigerator froze everything solid. But, if you just need a place to stay the night with a solid shower and bed, this is a good value.

The housekeeping staff was not very friendly. I asked for something to use to wipe down my surfaces in the room because I had handprints in like sticky stuff on them and they will not give me anything. The room was kind of dirty and housekeeping walked right by my room each day I was there. I didn’t even ask me if I needed anything and they have attitudes all over her face so I decided not to engage and ask them for anything else.

Great staff greeting, room heated well on the coldest weekend in over a decade. Major rust area in bathroom tub, vanity light burned out, and fire detector was buzzing loudly. Detector removed by maintenance promptly by request, but not replaced during visit.

The beds were super comfortable and the staff was really nice. The rooms were a bit dingy, looked like the chair had never been vacuumed off ever and like they don’t move anything when they vacuum or sweep. The water pressure was really good and nice hot water. Ceiling fan did not work but that was okay because we needed the moisture in the room. Bathroom sink was clogged, desk light didn’t work and DO NOT PAY FOR UPGRADED SNACKS, you won’t get them. The mini fridge is a nice size but no freezer to re-freeze your freezer packs. We were there for 5 nights so we had food to bring back.

I did not realize this reservation was not cancellable. I had to cancel my entire trip as my friend is in hospice. I pleaded with the hotel manager to at least defer my stay so that I could use it at another time, explaining why I needed to cancel my trip. She first lied to me, saying that Expedia won't let her do this. But Expedia told me that it was up to the hotel manager.

Heartless and unethical. Please do not stay at this hotel.

I arrived to check in at the South Deerfield Red Rood Inn instead of West Springfield where I was mistakenly booked. Deerfield had availability and contacted the West Springfield Red Roof Inn - they advised I book a room with Deerfield and they would work on refunding me. I have screenshots of the conversations showing this.

No one will refund me. I have called the front desk at West Springfield and they directed me to the general manager’s voicemail. I have left her two messages this week and NO response at all. How can this even be called hospitality?

If you’re considering staying at a Red Roof Inn, don’t do it! You’ll be better off sleeping in your car.

Our room was clean and modern, but there was a very strong smell of old cigarette smoke. We sensed this smell in the lobby during our check-in, and the same smell was in our room, even though it was in a different building. My wife had difficulty breathing and could not sleep for most of the night. For almost $200 per night, this was a pretty bad experience for our family.

During our stay I kept thinking “lipstick on a pig.” The room was somewhat “updated” - fresh coat of paint, including on the toilet seat!, and new floors. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathtub was chipped. The comforter was stained and disgusting (thankfully we brought our own). Only two towels. The bathroom door was cracked (but painted over like everything else in the room). Full size mirror placement was odd - the gap in the curtains allowed you to look into the room at the mirror that reflected the bed. Door to the outside was was dented up - like someone had kicked it several times. Will never stay there again.

Never had such a bad experience- room smells like leftover food, only one TV channel to watch (weather channel), bathtub clogged, sheets had hair and blood on it clearly not changed, front desk told us they didn’t have extra clean sheets….we booked for two nights and requested a refund on a second night because it is inhabitable. The management declined our request even they didn’t have other room for us to move to. We were there for the Family Weekend, and it ended super disappointed!!!!

Stayed here 4th of July weekend. Came back this weekend for a trip to Six Flags New England and stayed in room 139.

The good: bedding was clean and bathroom was clean.

The bad: Paid for a Premium King, was given a standard. Room was as bare bones as they come. No alarm clock, (3) pillows for (2) people on a king bed for God sake give (4). (1) Wash Cloth for 2 people for 2 nights.

What sent me over the edge is that the room needed a gut rehab: Peeling paint in some areas in the room and bathroom, main lamp had no working bulb, draw handles were rusted, there was slight mold on the ceiling. The room needed a major update it looked like an by the hour motel. I have stayed in about 40 hotels in the last year and this room was one of the biggest dumps I stayed in. Mind you the price point for this \"premium king\" was $307.00 for two night. DO BETTER!

Staff was friendly but the property condition left to be desired. Room was humid and smelled moldy the entire time we were there. Floors were damp, drawers were grimy/had evidence of water damage, paint was chipped in a few places. Bed was ok. Towels and linen were clean. Bathroom was clean. Location is great by car.

The place has potential, nothing like a reasonably priced, decent, clean motel with no frills in a good location. Issues seem fixable, I’m hoping they get to it.

I have stayed at other cheap motels/red roofs inn and this one didn’t quite hit the mark. We picked it because it was the cheapest option for the Big E; in retrospect we regret our decision.

The overall stay was not good at all due to the cleanliness of the room and the customer service. We paid more for an upgraded bedding and snack king suite and Within the first few minutes of checking in we found a dirty vaping device in the so-called clean bedding. The front desk attendant informed us we could not switch rooms or get our bedding changed because the hotel was at capacity. He was dismissive of our complaints and offered us no solution. We also found old room key cards in the bedding, further indicating the bedding was dirty and/or not changed. We discussed this matter further in the morning with another front desk staff and he was also dismissive, telling us to inform the general manager who was not available. We have filed a formal complaint with the Red Roof corporate office and will be contacting Expedia customer service as well.

My fiance and 18 month old daughter booked a room here. The room smelled like cigarettes. They gave us 2 more room keys to try. The next room smelled like
Mold and feet, and the third room’s bathroom was disgusting. We asked for a refund but the manager Lis said she didn’t smell any cigarettes and that the rooms were fine. She was a disgusting and very rude woman and hung up on us. We should have looked at the reviews because we aren’t the only ones that have went through something like this. Still haven’t got a refund. If you value your health, don’t stay here.

It was the least expensive lodging in the Springfield area. It had at least SOME city bus service. It was not too far from Springfield proper. The accommodations were fairly comfortable and spacious. Eateries were near by.

They need more sidewalks and better street lighting for pedestrians. On a few rare occasions, we had a noise problem at night, but this was fortunately rare. The room was generally comfortable, but I noticed that the toilet seat was starting to come loose.
