Don't judge a book by it's cover

Cute remodeled rooms, the exterior reminds you of a 60's motel, but step inside to a cute remodeled room, new floors, new fixtures, bathroom, I will definitely stay there again

Checked in and turned air conditioning on ( was very hot day) when we returned to room several hours later , there was no power in the room. Called desk, who then proceeded to call owners of property for resolution. Were sending someone out to fix it ?????? Then finally decided to give us a different room. We received nothing for this major inconvenience.

Unpleasant stay.

Very run down. AC didnt work for one of the rooms along with the lock on the door. No cleaning during the weekend stay. Theyre listed as pet friendly and they are not. Had bugs in the room, like from the drains. No bed bugs or roaches which was good. Ripped screens on windows. Made a two room reservation and they only had one rm documented. Was an okay place for staying the night, but wouldnt want to hang out during the day.

It is a classic roadside motel from the 60's. The owner was very nice. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Good hot shower. Just tired and worn. Just slept there so no big deal. Good if you are on a budget or really tired and need to sleep.

This is an older motel, but it is obvious the management and staff are working toward bringing the property back. Although the room was bare bones, the bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh and the room was absolutely spotless. Cheerful staff and a feeling of welcome topped it off. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are driving through.

The Elm Motel is an older facility that has been well maintained. It is a simple place -- clean and comfortable, but there is no phone or clock/radio in the room. It was not as close to downtown as I had hoped, so one has to drive there. The owners/staff are pleasant and helpful.

Elm Motel was a pleasant experience. This is a semi-upgraded old fashioned motor court. The beds were very comfortable, and our room was quiet. If we are in the area again, we would certainly stay again!

Blood on Bedspread, no micro wave and didn't clean room. We have stayed here once a year for the last 5 years when we come up from Florida. Usually we get #5, but this year they gave us #2 and it was the worst one ever. WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Older motel, but great for quick stay

This is a cute little motel. It is conveniently located in the center of town. The motel is older, so things are outdated. The room smelled a little musty, but after running A/C for a bit, it is not bad. The beds are not the most comfortable and linens are outdated. But if you are looking for a quick, convenient spot to lay your head, then it is ok. I was in town for a quick stop, so it was ok. There is not really room for a large family in the rooms, space is quite limited so I would not recommend for a large family, even a family of 4 would find it a bit cramped.
The staff was friendly, but it did take them a long time to respond to the buzzer to get me checked in.

Overall, not a bad place for a quick trip.

1 room instead of 2

Not a terrible place but they messed up the reservation and only had one room available when we had reservations for two. We had no option but to cram into a single room. They said \"sorry\" but frankly I think they could have called around for another room or something.

A basic motel with great value and nice room!

This is a very basic motel a la the 50's or 60's, but it was clean, beds were comfortable, there was a new TV and internet and the staff was friendly and efficient. Plus the location is close to central MA great natural features and parks.

Pleasant, clean, convenient older-style motel

The motel is in town on a main street -- but adjacent to a residential area, with good access to the local area. While the motel is of the traditional design of the the 1950's or 1960's, set back from the road, with a separate building for the office & manager living quarters, the staff is friendly, the rooms very clean, and offer a more economic, practical way of \"staying over\", than what is offered by the large chains. I stayed there for 3 days -- and certainly would return.

An ok cheap motel

Wifi was very spotty to the point where it was easier to use data. Aside from the hair strands found on the pillow and a sock that was left behind, it was clean. Very much what you expect for a quick night at cheap hotel.

Basic inexpensive no-frills motel

Basic inexpensive no-frills motel. Our room on the end was clean and relatively quiet. Bed was comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep. Reception was friendly and courteous. The AC, Wi-Fi, coffee maker, and plumbing all worked. The room shades blocked the outside light fairly well. There was a slight musty odder on entrance but turning on the AC quickly dispelled it, and it was not noticeable again. The room was properly labeled \"smoke free\" since there was no hint of any smoke odors. The TV cable wiring was a bit of a hodge-podge but did not interfere with our stay. The in-room refrigerator is a nice addition but froze some fruit we had put in it. I did not see a hair dryer.
