TV was very difficult to use. There was no wi-fi. There was no hot water, only cold showers. Walls were paper thin with a joining locked door to the room next door. I could clearly hear the conversations and TV in the room next door. You could also hear all the comotion outside, the traffic, cars starting, machines running, and such. But the room was clean and looked nice.
I chose a higher price hotel for quality. Having no hot water, thin walls and no wi-fi ruined that.

Sleepless in Ridgecrest

I reserved a One King room but upon Check-in I was given a Two Queen room. The lighting was dim - the lamp on the nightstand didn't work, and the overhead light in the bathroom only lit with the noisy fan. The AC was noisy and barely vooled the room. The TV also didn't work do at 11pm when the neighnore were loadly talking I couldn't drown out their noise. At 2am another neighbor let his two dogs out of the room and they barked loudly, the guy then yelled at them. I bet those were \"service dogs\", wheras I declared my dog and had to pay an extra fee plus a hefty deposit (neither were mentioned on the website or when reserving the room). I got very little sleep; too noisy!!

Newer updates of an older property. Because of the updates there are adequate plugins for electronics that we carry these days. I loved the Denny’s coupons for breakfast. There’s a special menu just for the hotel and has about nine choices on it Denny’s across the street and about a block away.
I had been on the road for 12 days and ended up in Three hotels where the air conditioner didn’t work properly. My room at the Baymont air conditioner worked perfectly.
One thing they might think about adding our grab bars in the bathtub area or a nonslip surface or possibly a bathmat. I’m older and very conscious of this so ended up putting the bathmat in the bottom of the bathtub. I really appreciate it opening the door early in the morning before the sun came up and it looked like it was daylight because there are so many outdoor safety lights!

Good place for the price

Overall the stay here was very good! It was a wonderful place to stay on the way to Death Valley the next day. It’s located very conveniently next to a lot of things including stores and restaurants. Coffee maker was broken so they offered me a free voucher to Denny’s right across the street for a complementary breakfast and coffee. I thought that was a nice gesture. The only thing negative was the lock seemed to be very loose and looks like the screws were coming loose. Although I wasn’t uncomfortable in the neighborhood, it felt safe staying here, but it was just a little strange.

Find another place

Check in was fine and the front desk clerk was friendly. Other than that, I was completely disappointed… not that I was expecting a lot. First room didn’t have a working television or remote. After getting a remote from front desk, got an error screen requiring directv access code. Front desk clerk tried to help but ended up moving me to a different room with two queens instead of the reserved king. Room was not particularly clean and had peeling caulking in the bathroom, cracked grout falling out between tiles, toilet paper roll was behind toilet nearly two feet away, water pressure wouldn’t have rinsed food off a dinner plate. It was a long day of driving and I just wanted a comfortable place to crash. Too much hassle for what was received.

We were very disappointed in this Wyndham hotel. We booked because of the name and the price. However, the room fell very short of our expectations. 1. No hangers on the clothes pole. 2. No kleenex 3. No light on the desk or nearby. 4. the clothes pole had an exposed screw sticking up - the only thing good about that was we had something to hang clothes on Overall, I guess you get what you pay for. Price was very good, but the room sure missed a lot of amenities.
There was no coffee in the room nor in the office. When I asked about coffee, I was referred to Denny's which provided breakfast (that, at least, was excellent. As far as staff is concerned, the woman who checked us in was excellent - very helpful (even though she was just filling in). Okay to sleep there only

A regular motel, but from the other 2 we had stayed the 2 previous days, this was the least kept-up. The towels were worn out with dark stains. The walls were real thin, with every noise outside and from the neighboring rooms. The receptionist was friendly when checking in, but after a discrepancy on my room charges, she wasn't happy to help over the phone. Instead have me the regular \"not-my-problem\" response...\"give me your number and I'll call you back, because I'm busy right now with guests\" and didn't even really care to take my number down or call back. She instead told me before hanging up that hotel.com charges taxes and they get their cut and then Baymont charges additional taxes and gets their cut. Not an accurate response but okay. Before 8AM you have to drop off your keys in a mailbox because there's no attendant. The other hotels had the reception area staffed at that time. There were no hangers but a small area to hang clothes was included, and the bathroom was missing a hanging hook. There was a TV (with many channels not working) and a decent size fridge with a leftover ice cream in the freezer. A microwave was included, even though it was very outdated, but it did the job. It is in a good location, but a grocery outlet a block away as well as the Denny's we were given a free breakfast voucher for a traditional American breakfast. You can order to go as well and grab your breakfast at any time of the day. That was the highlight of my stay there.
