As we checked in, we were told that they charge a security deposit because they often have bed bugs from campers that stay there. That was a turn off. The room was very small and outdated. We stayed for 30 minutes while booking a room at a different hotel.

The person at the front desk was great. Check in and out were very easy. Breakfast was surprisingly plentiful despite the lack of space. They are doing some construction to make a lounge area. The room was okay. We slept well, which is the main point. The shower did not produce hot water and is also quite small. Parking was right in front of our room and it was nice to be in a single story building. My main complaint besides the lack of hot water is the doors. The bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way and the front door was also sticky. We couldn’t use the security lock on the door because it doesn’t quite line up.

The stars are only for the staff lady that assisted me with the hot water issue. There was no hot water the first morning there, so she had to let me into the adjoining unit. Then she said the manager was trying to claim it was because there were other people using showers at the same time, when there were 2 other occupied units. How are you maintaining a hotel with hot water only working one unit per time? The wifi was also terrible; it wasn't connecting more than it was. And this is in the middle of a well sized city; I had better wifi the day before in the middle of nowhere (Beatty, NV). My last morning there, there were 2 tiny roaches in the bathroom, and you know where there's one, there's a lot. Wouldn't go back & would advise others to bypass this one. The low pet fee was attractive, but not worth the rest of the headache.

Stains on the bed, moved to a new room, bugs in the shower, Jass is a very rude manager and needs to work on owning up to her mistakes. I did not appreciate getting blamed for the uncleanliness :( Service from employees was very good though. Overall I did not enjoy my experience here :,)

No hot water

It was just a cheap over-night stay, I wasn't expecting much. The exterior could use a fresh coat of paint. The biggest issue I had was that there was no hot water for a morning show. The hotel claims that there is hot water but for my stay, the shower never heated up and the faucet only produced a trickle of cold water from the hot.

Cold vs. horrible noise

Enticed by a good price to book the room. We were only staying one night, so didn't require much. There were lots of good features: very clean overall, comfortable bed with good linens, good-size mini fridge, convenient location, etc.

Hotel room heaters are usually not quiet, but this one was truly so obnoxiously loud and took so long to heat up - at least 15 minutes to blow only tepid air, that we were quite cold if we weren't under the covers. Hate to leave a bad review because that was the only negative, but it ruined our stay and truly needs to be fixed.

Great except for room temp

Staff was great. Check in was easy. Room was clean. My complaints for this particular room? The bathroom was about 100 degrees (no ac in the bathroom) and the window ac in the room didn’t cool the room down until about 3 am. It was hot and not pleasant. Hopefully it was just my room, but it was brutal. It would have been great otherwise.

Surprisingly nice!

This was just a stop on my way home. Just needed to sleep. When pulling in it seemed I’d made choice, the parking lot was “iffy”. The room however had just been redone and was surprisingly spacious and clean. The shower was tiled with a rain head, pedestal sink, new tall toilet. The bed was super comfy, the room had a fridge and a microwave. Was very surprised and if I stay in Ridgecredt again, I’ll stay here

I give this place a 2. It was the size of a shoe box. No closet or any place to put clothes. The curtains on the front and only window, were sheers. I could see out and anyone could see in. There was no shade or heavier curtain behind the sheers. I called desk. I was told that was what was in all the rooms and no one else had complained. I had to get a blanket out of my car and hang it from the curtain rod.

Nice stay

It’s a older building with newly remodeled bathrooms. A little pricey for what you get but overall a good clean stay. The walls are very thin so you can here people talking in the room next door. Luckily we had quiet Neighbors but I can see where there might be problems if the people next door are noisy. Area seemed pretty safe and parking is right in front of your room which is nice.

A little \"diamond\" in the desert

Don't let the older looking building scare you. The room was updated with in ceiling lighting (with a dimmer), pleasantly painted color scheme and new bathroom fixtures. The area was very quiet and having a microwave and fridge in the room is always a plus. Nice little table and chairs outside of the room was the perfect place for us to enjoy our snacks/meal. The diner next to the property was perfect for breakfast and getting morning coffee to go. We were greeted by friendly staff and overall we were pleasantly surprised. This hotel was also pet friendly and since we travel with a dog sometimes its difficult to find hotels. If I had any complaint it would be that the mattress was too soft for my liking. If I ever need to stay in this area again, I will stay here. Thank you

NIce remodel. The inside is surprising compared to what I expected when I saw the outside. Coffee maker didn't work and was is a bad spot on top of the Fridge. You would almost need a ladder to get to it - it needs to be moved. But since it didn't work I didn't use it. Overhead room lights are really bright. Took me a day to notice there it was a dimmer with the micro slider. Maybe they should not be turned up all the way when guests arrive. Even then, the bulbs could probably be lower wattage so it's not so blazingly bright. Front desk was accommodating but really didn't need to talk with them much.

Excellent Room and Staff

I checked in at 10pm after being onroad for 10 hours and was promptly helped by a friendly young lady. She informed me that she assigned me to one of the recently renovated rooms. I thanked her for her generous act.

The room was clean and the AC was on and cold. The bed was fantastic -- the mattress was new and plush. The sheets were silky soft and luxurious feeling -- better than my sheets at home. The bathroom had soft new towels. The sink and shower were clean and had plenty of hot water. The surrounding area was safe and quiet. I slept very well that night.

It looks like a small place. But the manager was so good to me.. I have MS and booked a room that didn't take dogs. She was so nice and understanding she gave me a big room 😊 and understood my limits what I couldn't do..

Awesome in Ridgecrest

Great stay. Front desk was very helpful and friendly! There was even a large gated area in the back for my dog to run

Perfectly clean motel at an unbeatable price

We stayed in two of the recently remodeled rooms on our trip during February. The rooms still had some dated elements like old noisy and weak heating units and one room had an ancient minifridge, but everything still worked well enough to keep us comfortable or even toasty during our stay despite the cold February temperatures outside. Absolutely everything else was in practically mint condition, and you could still smell that the carpet was brand-new. WiFi worked adequately, and parking was very easy. Checkin was no problem, and the prices were fantastic for the room.

The only warning I’d give is that though new (we think) the beds have rather inexpensive spring mattresses that are not the kind we find comfortable. If you’re used to something like memory foam that’s more firm and tends not to sink, you probably will find the mattresses subpar. However, I was totally willing to put up with them for the low price and convenience of the room. If in Ridgecrest again, I would certainly stay here, especially if it was for 2-3 nights.

And I saw some people talk smack about Ridgecrest—that it’s somehow unsafe, a drug haven, or boring—none of that seemed true. You’re about an hour or less from the entrance to Death Valley NP, Owens Lake, Lone Pine, Red Rock Canyon SP, and the Alabama Hills here, and the town is quiet with a decent selection of restaurants and plenty more mountains on the horizon than where I am by the Great Lakes. Enjoy the value of this hotel and town.
