Overall probably good value for money. Restaurant menu was limited and we did not eat in, instead going to the Buffalo Grill a 5 minute walk away.
Service was friendly good, with drinks available for reception at a fair price. The standard double room was small, but the bed was comfortable. Self service breakfast was good. Generally the hotel was a little tired.

Ideal location to break your journey from southern France to the ports in northern France. Stayed a number of times & found the hotel as described, easy to find, ample parking, well located; near major road links, petrol stations & restaurants. Breakfast is nice too. Even has a larger pump behind reception!

Check in was a bit different. Was given a room key on entering the room already had people in there with suitcases on the bed.
I then went back to reception and was ignored whilst some sort of argument went on with a French lady customer, then another French lady appeared to jump in in front of me. Eventually we were given another room which was very small, although I have to say the bed and pillows were very comfortable. No air conditioning in the room either.

It’s easy to get to, good parking, friendly front desk. Great en-route drop in when travelling and Alencon was a nice surprise, a lovely town. The hotel is a quick drive to the centre.
My issue is that, and this hotel is not alone, when I book a room with 3 single beds, I need 3 single beds. If I could make do with a double and a single I would have huge choice but 3 singles is more difficult to find and I booked this hotel
because it offered that. So when I turn up please don’t give me a double and a single. I was forced to book another room to accommodate my party.

Worked well for a stop over, nothing special but good value for what it is. Family rooms are two adjoining rooms which work well. Baby cot provided which was handy.

Communication up until day of arrival ignored but on day of arrival very quick and helpful.

France stop over - basic hotel

Very basic hotel and small room. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The restaurant is closed at the weekend! We ate in the Buffalo Grill which is 2 minutes ago which was very nice and I would recommend.

The hotel allows dogs and our room smelt a bit doggy. There was a dog barking in one of the rooms close by which was bad when trying to get to sleep after a long journey.

The water in the shower was cold until we ran the sink tap for ages.

The heater was under a table which made it difficult to control the temperature and also very dangerous! We found by chance that the table actually moved which made it easier!

We only wanted a bed for the night when travelling to Calais to catch the ferry and the hotel was ok but would recommend it for a holiday!

hotel looked closed when we arrived at 11pm

When we arrived we were locked out of the hotel and the lobby was closed. Luckily a hotel guest opened the front door and gave us a number to ring to find out our room number. Where we found our keys in the bed. Better communication would have helped for guests arriving late.

Overnight stay - room was good - sink plug faulty staff should have known - would not release and when did fell apart - shower too small - kettle lead too short to safely reach socket from table - breakfast items not replenished quickly enough for ourselves on request and also from other guests - these all effect what is a very nice hotel

Understaffing leads to frustration

Our stay was good BUT the hotel is run on a shoestring. We had dinner and the food was good and value for money. The waitress did everything and was very pleasant. If there was a sudden influx of diners she was incapable of dealing with everything and the waiting time would definitely increase. Breakfast was handled
“Buffet style” by one person who was also dealing with people checking out. There was not a great deal left by 9.00 am and even bread was limited. The hot element was limited by this time and was not replenished. Even bread was absent and only 2 small baguettes were supplied on request. They soon ran out. Our checkout was delayed as we had to explain we had paid for our room on booking. This was resolved but took a long time. Our stay was good as we were on our way south and had lots of time. I imagine the experience would be much poorer if we were tired and heading north for a ferry. Staff did try hard.

Stop over hotel.

Like all the travellers making their way back from a holiday in France, we chose this hotel for our overnight stay to catch an early fairy the next day. We booked 2 rooms for a family of 4. One room with a double bed and another with two single beds.
Pros:

Foul smelling bathroom in one of the rooms which made it impossible to use. They couldn’t rectify the problem. Although the receptionist helped us with a spray, the stench was very strong. So we ended up using the bathroom in another room.
Bed side lamp was broken.
No air conditioning so ended up waking up quite a lot.
Coffee kettle but there was no place to connect it.
Also they forgot to put the body wash in our bathroom so had to go and remind them. They sent us a bottle of some sort.

Not good for elderly people with mobility problems. No LIFT lucky we where only on the first floor thankfully, but it took me a while to get up and down but managed with help from family. Bathroom small shower was a no no for me but was clean

Great hotel for a stop en route

Really warm welcome at reception.Free parking. Given a room on the ground floor, so not sure if there is a lift. Unfortunately as it was Sunday evening the restaurant was closed but we were able to eat at Buffalo Grill a few minutes walk away. The room is very small - nowhere really for opened suitcases, but it is clean and well equipped including tea making facilities. Bathroom very good - super shower and cubicle and a powerful hairdryer.Good for a stopover en route.

Beware!!! Check your Credit Card statement

I booked my stay at this hotel at an agreed rate of 45 euro's for 1 night plus 1.20 euro's tourist tax. This was to be charged by the hotel to my credit card after my stay.
I stopped at the hotel on the 11 Aug 15 and found that it was adequate for a one night. . I did not eat or incur any additional charges.
Upon returning home l checked my credit card statement and found that l had been charged 61.20 euro's.
I initially contacted Hotels.com who attempted to retify this matter on my behalf but were unable to do so, therefore l sent the hotel several e mails including using their dedicated e mail system but to this date they have failed to respond to any of my messages to rectify the overcharge.
I would advise anyone using this hotel to be very very wary of being overcharged and to check all credit card statements thoroughly.
PS I have documentation to confirm everything l have written.
Having checked tripadvisor it appears that the hotel has history of overcharging

EXPEDIA failed to book!!

Arrived at hotel and they had no confirmation of booking from Expedia, however the receptionist was very helpful and there was a room available. The room was smelly and it would appear to be a known problem as they were perfumed sticks and air fresheners present although too old to be effective. Mentioned the smell on departure and the only comment given was that we were on the first floor which implies a construction problem.

The hotel is convenient for our travels in France and there is a Buffalo Grill practically next door and therefore the positives outweigh the negatives - also simple but good breakfast

A Good Stopover.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel. The room was fairly small but more than adequate for 1 night, shower etc., facilities were good. We found it one of the quietest night's stays we have had in a motel, but that can always be just down to the guests at the time. At breakfast there was a good selection of bread, cheese, meat, drinks etc. Would stay here again.

One criticism and only one, that is when it is Zero degrees outside it is necessary to have some heating in the room, ther was not and it was very cold when I got up in the morning. With everything else being OK this must have been an oversight. Shame really,

Nice Looking Hotel

Picked this hotel for its ease access from the the motorway. We didn't eat in the hotel but the food looked and smelled v good. It would appear most customers ate in as apart from a Buffalo Grill, which we made the mistake of eating at, there is nothing else within walking distance.
Our only concern was that the rooms did not have air con. The hotel is beautifully clean with a contemporary theme but we had a very unpleasant nights sleep due to the heat.

Good stopping point after evening arrival at Le Havre on journey south. Room small but bed was big and comfortable and bathroom perfectly adequate. Had a very peaceful night, untroubled by noise either inside or outside the hotel. Parking a bit tight if you are travelling in anything other than a car.

When I arrived was told that two rooms had been booked in my name and would have to pay for 2 rooms for an overnight stay for a couple, when one would have done I blame hotels .com for the glitch and it cost me 95 euros extra, The receptionist could not cancel the error. Hence I had to pay for 2 rooms for 2 people !!

The hotel had everything that was needed, with very friendly and helpful service. The evening meal was good quality and good value. Breakfast was also good. The only drawbacks are that it seemed to be in a remote location so not much around. Fine for us as just an overnight stay. Room was clean and adequate space, could tell it was an older hotel but not a problem. Very happy with the hotel for the price. Will stay again.

Convenient Stopover

A good night's sleep on the way to SW France after a late evening arrival in Ouistreham. The hotel is conveninetly placed just off the maion road leading into Alencon from the north.

Although the reception desk closed at 22:30, we telephoned in advance for the front door code and we crept quietly to our room which was comfortable and clean with tea/coffee making facilities.

We had paid in advance, so checkout was simple and our car was parked conveniently outside in the Hotel's car park

Hôtel moyen. Obligé de demander à refaire le lit car l alèse était sale avec pleins de residus. La table sous la télé collante. Les toilettes 😬. En conclusion la propreté nest pas le point fort de cet hôtel. La literie ça va.
Le point pas top aussi se sont les tables et chaises situées juste devant les chambres du rdc, quand on veut dormir cela est tout d'un coup moins sympa. L'idée est bonne mais pas l emplacement. Le petit déjeuner était sympa et la salle agréable.
