\"🚨 Avoid Hotel Landmark Baniyas, Dubai 🚨

Horrible experience from the start. Rooms reek of cigarette smoke, phone doesn't work, and WiFi's a joke. Asked for toilet roll? Good luck. Leaky toilet , broken promises, and ZERO response to complaints. We've traveled for 15 years and NEVER had an experience like this. Not worth the money. 1/10 wouldn't recommend. 😤

Claimed to be a 3-star hotel but facilities aren't even up to 1-star standards. Misleading rating. 🚫

The worse experience ever.

I arrived at the hotel at 11:00 am, the check in time was supposed to be at 14:00 and I asked them nicely if they can check me in earlier, the two ladies at front desk asked me sit down and wait because they are cleaning the rooms and we will put you in soon. I went and sat, waiting to be called, a couple people got their rooms and I thought, they will call me soon but after waiting for 1hours and 20 minutes, I went and asked them if my room is ready, they asked me to wait for another 30 minutes. Finally, after about 1 hour and 30 minutes around 15:00 they came and told me that my room is ready, I asked the short girl at front desk that why it took so long, she replied very rudely that the guest checked out late and they had to clean the room. This was the worse hotel I ever got in Dubai.

Its not for family. The location is the for single people who relies on public transport. Also the hotel is management does not do check in on time. They rented our room to the different people while we did not check out as we are traveling multiple states in the UAE. When we went to checkout we found someone else in our room I have the video and pictures with two evidence of what happened. The hotel refused to give us money back even after this incident.

fabulous location whilst in Dubai

I've stayed at the Landmark Hotel on a previous visit & hence opted to stay at the same property due to it's proximity to the metro & ease of access. It's also in an area which has a number of shops around, so you don't really have to travel in case you need something.
The hospitable staff & the affordable price points are a welcome add

Very poor cleanliness. The hotel had no good wifi (it was advertised). There is a restaurant that has the extractor all night long and makes the rooms noisy and smelly. No hot water. The hair dryer would not work. The windows have never been dusted off or properly cleaned.

Taxi driver off a bit away saying that there isn't any parking at hotel, so i had walk with my luggage, the reception wasn't very welcoming, th bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom was smelling, toilet didn't flush, no water in the shower. Overall for Dubai a very, dirty hotel with rude staff. Very unclean and unfriendly

They also do PCR TEST which i was not informed i only found out when asked about it.
The hotel should inform the guest about the PCR test upon check in.

Fairly good stay. Been using the hotel since 2009, a bit disappointed about lack of effort on the breakfast menu. Hadn’t changed. Rooms in need of a refurbish. Entrance stairs not user friendly with kids pram, had to lift it up everyday. Not a pleasant task. Overall, a good place to stay

Amazing stay, great experience and wonderful staff.
The stafff at checkin upgraded our triple room to a wonderful suite room which had two rooms.the room was spacious and met all our needs. The location was excellent and the staff were all very good. We enjoyed the complimentary free breakfast which was served different on both days, menu was great.

Overall very happy with this hotel and location. Many shops and restaurants open till very late right outside the hotel and is close to the creek and gold souk.
Hotel was good, my only real issue was the shower water pressure especially in the mornings was very poor. Go to breakfast before 8am as it gets bery busy. Rooms are a generous size but there is little sound proofing between rooms. Wifi was a bit patchy at times, when good is excellent. Overall hsppy experience.

Refund required and complaint against Hote.com

Do not use this hotel, They left us stranded at the airport. I gave them a message prior to booking the rooms that I would not have any form of communications until I get to their hotel and to have a drive ready with a name plate.
The booking was not recognised and no driver was sent, I had to go to the airport police and they contacted the hotel and eventually they sent a taxi ??? hours later.
The condition of the bed was broken with a broken mattress which I took pictures. I reported this to the reception after the first nights sleep asking for a different mattress.

I took it a being discriminated as I come from the UK. They know that they have had my money and see no need to respond to my request of a different mattress.
I require a full refund as this hotel did not give me the accommodation which I had paid for.

I request your Hotel.com not to ask any non UAE to stay there due to discrimination again non UAE.
The bed and breakfast is not for Europeans or any where near to EU standards. I can get this room for a local price at this hotel for 1/3rd of the price .

Totally not acceptable, please contact me with this complaint. This message has been recorded for my reference.

This hotel offers a great deal for the money. It's very close to the Baniyas Metro Station.The staff was friendly as well as helpful. I had a wonderfully large room on the 3rd floor - very quiet, too. Great breakfast buffet. I'll definitely book a room here the next time I plan a trip to Dubai.

My stay was generally ok.
1.The team at the Reception and House keeping are doing an excellent job.
2. The location of the hotel is fabulous, near many shopping malls
3.The hotel manager is a hands on man who is very present and very helpful too.
However, for the comfort of the residents;
1. Inform clients that rooms are paid for upfront on arrival at the hotel to avoid any surprises.
2.There are a lot of non residents in the hotel dining area, this can be very unpleasant to hotel residents. Try and separate residents from non residents. The food runs out and even cutlery is missing sometimes.

Overall the hotel is old but still OK, and generally still maintained in a satisfactory way. It is well located right on Baniyas Square, a busy square with loads of services, but not so noisy. I was first given a room with no view whatsoever (so are many rooms in this hotel) but luckily I refused it and front desk moved me to a far better room on the top floor with a small balcony overlooking the square. What a relief that was! Thank you front desk lady. .But actually that came with a price: The hotel is only a few steps from a mosque with, shall I say, an overzealous Muezzin, in that his calls to prayer are unusually LOUD! I can't believe authorities allow such a zeal. Room is large enough but not necessarily well appointed. TV channels choice is limited and picture quality of the flat screen is unusually poor. Buffet breakfast is fine but not gourmet. Plus, breakfast room is rather smallish thus it is hard to find an empty table but sharing a table is the norm. I cannot recommend this hotel in that I would not choose it again. But, overall, it is still OK.

Disappointing. This is just a bad hotel. Not very clean. Breakfast is a pass. Was promised another room after staff acknowledged that the room I had was bad, but this never happened. It's not more than a bed and a shower, and for the money you pay, you can do better elsewhere even for that. Unless you have no other options (which in Dubai is very unlikely), stay somewhere else.

Where do I start... This is just a bad hotel. The pictures on the website are misleading; more than likely your room will look nothing like what you'll find about it online. Had a cockroach in the bathroom on the first night. Various hairs from other guests on supposedly fresh towels. At best mediocre cleanliness. Musty A/C units resulting in a foul smell in the rooms. Rugs and curtains that look like they haven't been washed for years. Coming back to the hotel to find another guest sleeping in my bed. Incompetent staff. Breakfast hardly worth paying for, even if it's included. Dowdy, old furniture. Water that gets warm but not hot. This hotel should not be listed on hotels.com or any other website.
The Landmark Baniyas is by far the worst stay I've had in Dubai, and speaking with other guests they felt the same way. Do yourself a favour and stay in the newly opened Hyatt Place next door if you must stay in the area (it's worth every penny you'll pay additional), or in one of the several Ibis hotels around Deira/Bur Dubai which offer the same price but at least live up to the promise and have an intact standard.
