This hotel has breathtaking views of the Cardigan Bay. The breeze off the water was so relaxing, especially with the windows open. There is a foot path to the cliffs and beaches which we truly enjoyed. The bed was super soft!

Room was tidy and clean. Food was fantastic. The only issue we came across was 1. The burger was a steak burger and wasn't told as I thought it would have been home made but thats just me being fussy and 2. The overflow carpark wasn't signed very well as im very fussy with my car and didn't know that other car park was there. Wasn't made aware of it so we just managed to get a decent space but overall I would return

Beautiful setting overlooking the Estuary. Food in general was of a very high standard. Clean rooms are well-equiped and bar/ restaurant areas also lovely and clean. However, just one small thing there were nuts on floor of the lift for the 2 days that we stayed. So maybe the lift needs hoovering daily? Had a lovely stay and will recommend.

There was a good variety of food at both breakfast and dinner. The food was cooked to order and there were some delicious specials on their daily menu.
The room had a lovely view over the bay but it was small and there was a limited amount of room for storing our cases. The bathroom was recently refurbished and beautifully finished but there was limited space to put anything.
The car park was small and a challenge to negotiate but it did provide safe free parking.

Lovely stay at The Gwbert Hotel. The room was ready when we arrived so were able to check in early.

Room was clean & had a lovely view of the coast.

Tea & Coffee in the room. A fan, iron & ironing board & hair dryer available too.

Staff were very friendly & helpful.

The room was immaculate and we had 2 windows for a sea view ❤️ I would recommend an extension plug if you want to charge items near your bed. The decor in the bedroom was light and airy, with thoughtful touches in the bathroom.
The staff were very friendly , they did seem to be multi tasking but all worked well together.
The breakfast was delicious. A selection of self serve , cereals, toast, hot drinks and juice. The yoghurts, particularly the natural bio live were great.
We were offered a choice of cooked breakfast. This included porridge, kippers and a full including bacon, sausage, eggs, beans (not in a ramekin) mushrooms, tomato and fried bread. All were cooked superbly and requests regarding choices were accommodated . There was an good choice of pastries and bread
The main menu have a varied selection and on the Friday night there was a specials menu too.
Tuscan Chicken, Gammon, duck bonbons deserve a special mention, but everything we have eaten was delicious.
If you want to unwind, take a moment, rest and relax, Gwbert is for you. The view and everything else is perfect.

Breakfast was comprehensive with a good choice of buffet and cooked food.
Staff were all friendly and helpful.
I would definitely stay here again and 💯% recommend the Gwbert.

Due to work being carried out difficulty in getting into reception area. No one manning the desk. Parking equally difficult- over flow car park across the road - unmade surface and mucky. The room was very cozy the facilities good. Towels and bed linen good quality.

The breakfast was good - as well as some buffet options and pastries, etc. there was a full English option, kippers, or porridge too. We were a bit worried about there not being enough spaces in the car park until we discovered that there was an overflow car park which was just in the other side of the road. The view from our room was amazing.

Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. It was very good. The bread was very disappointing, basic sliced white or brown only. Staff very helpful and well trained in bar and restaurant. Evening meal very tasty. Superior room with sea view was lovely and we enjoyed sitting in the window watching the waves on a very windy day. Bed very comfy, bathroom excellent, shower and bath and spacious.

Totally exceeded my expectations in every possible way.
1- staff. Reception particularly but also waiting staff
2 - room. Very clean and spacious
3 - food. We ate dinner and was a great no
Nonsense menu with some innovative Welsh options.
Breakfast was to die for. The lovely waitress made sure my lazy son had a bacon sandwich made for him.
4 - location. BEAUTIFUL.

We enjoyed our recent mini get away for a birthday treat. This was our first visit to The Gwbert Hotel. Quick and easy check in as it was done online before arrival. Lovely room with a sea view, which was spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee was well stocked with an added coffee maker. There was a small fridge in the room with bottled water too. The bathroom was a good size with bath and separate walk in shower. The large mirror in there had a light which was great for applying make up! The breakfast area was set up well with cereals and fruits. You help yourself to tea/ coffee and toast. Breakfast was served at your table with a good range to choose from. We had our evening meal in the restaurant both nights. There was a good choice available on the menu with specials available on both evenings. The staff were friendly and looked after us both nights. The large bar area had plenty seating which were comfortable and offered sea views during the day. You could eat within the bar area if you chose not to use the restaurant. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were looked after very well and look forward to our next visit.

Good standard of cleanliness. Bed was comfortable. More coat hangers would have been useful. Staff were very amenable.

However there was no hot water avaliable in the evening which is not acceptable, particularly when you getting ready for dinner.

All very good, would have been excellent apart from one thing...
Located at the bottom of a hill, when there is constant rain, there can be a smell of sewage from the drains in the bathroom. Not sure how they can fix it, but they gave us an air freshener, which helped. Long term it does need addressing though.

Easy parking at this smashing hotel, bar and restaurant. There are lovely views from most rooms. Breakfast is great and remains as good as it has been for the last 15 years. The young receptionist was an absolute gem, let us pray that she continues in hospitality as she will be sorely missed.

We have stayed here a few times now and the improvements and extension to the bar area is lovely. Upgraded rooms also are great. Breakfast is ok but could do with more fruit and pastries. Evening meal was great, especially as it was so busy. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Have booked again for next year

Another amazing trip down to Gwbert. Upgrades on the hotel are fabulous! Great clean family room with bottles of water in the fridge, my only slight quibble was the temperature in the room.... it was very warm, and although a fan is provided I still found it uncomfortable

A gem of a hotel!

What a great hotel! Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful.

The family room (for me, my husband and my two uni-aged kids) was spacious and spotless. The bathroom gleaming clean. The mattresses were very comfortable, soft and hard pillows provided, beautifully laundered bed linen too.

Little details -- like the hairdryer attached to the mirror, and a standing fan (which we had to use as it was a hot night), and a fridge -- showed that the management are really thinking about the customer's needs, and trying to provide a service like more established hotel chains.

The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, a huge full English with perfect poached eggs, kippers for my pescatarian kids, served by conscientious restaurant staff. There is a gorgeous view of the sea from the restaurant terrace.

I asked at the the bar in the evening if we could have some plates to take up to our room because we had a birthday cake for my daughter. The lady working there was so thoughtful, she gave us forks and napkins too -- just a simple thing but it's those little acts of customer care that make a hotel experience perfect.

We were here only for one night, but we will definitely return for longer at some point -- we all loved this hotel.

Booked a family room and wasn't disappointed a double with two singles with plenty of space, this hotel is brilliant staff where excellent & the cleaners deserve a mention the hotel is kept spotless.we had a brilliant four nights great family walks outside the hotel which includes seal & dolphin watching.
Defiantly stay again in the future.

Overall very disorganised. Booked a suite and got the smallest room in the hotel.

Only at breakfast did we realise someone else had been given our suite. This came to light when we gave our room number for breakfast and was told we had already had breakfast, thats when we found out we had not been given the suite we booked.

Most of the staff were friendly but disorganised, one lady was very rude and blunt.

You have to ask what system is in place where the wrong people get the wrong rooms? I had to make sure nothing was booked to our room that we were billed for.

It's a shame because it's in a beautiful location, and even the smallest room in the hotel was clean and beautifully decorated.

We would not recommend or stay at this hotel again. Yes we were refunded the difference between a standard room and a suite but feel after such a monumental mistake that really was not enough.

Full marks all round for this hotel.

A lovely stay in a hotel with an exceptional location and view. We had a basic room but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower hot and strong. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The bar area and patio has plenty of seating and the breakfast was very good.
