Albergo Sala was a unique experience in the small village of Valbrona. It was quiet and not much to do but that's what we were looking for. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was wonderful. The inn is historic and has been in the family for a few hundred years! As it is off the beaten track it is advisable to have a car as public transport is infrequent and challenging and taxi service is quite expensive. Aside from that it was a great place to stay a few days.

I stayed at this hotel for one night as I was passing through. It’s a small village and not much to do, but a 10 minute drive and you’ll be down by the lake where there’s a restaurant you can eat and drink at - but you’ll need to drive there. The hotel was nice, the view lovely, the staff super nice - but there was no airconditioning which was terrible as it was extremely hot. I was not able to sleep well because of this. They were so kind and gave me a free glass of wine the first evening before heading down to the lake.

Amazing location in mountains around Lake Como. Small village but one have a restaurant on site. About 20 minutes driving to Bellagio and 1 hour to Malpensa Airport. Not expensive!!!!

A small village and the local guest house and restaurant. They could not have been more welcoming and concerned that everything was OK. It seems to be the centre of activity in the Village and was impressed by the effort made to make me welcome and comfortable. Finally I even got a present of a bottle of wine upon my departure.

We arrived to be greeted straight away with a cup of coffee. The first room we were shown to was out the back, not attached to the main building. It was not big enough to swing a cat in, let alone two suitcases. After my wife had taken a shower, she mentioned to the owner that the water was not very hot, and room was not very big. Without any hesitation he put us into a much bigger room in the main building, with hotter water and a magnificent view.
Even though we were the only guests, each night in the restaurant, we were given the full treatment. However, we still can't work out why Italians insist that no restaurant opens until 7.30pm. The food was home made and cooked by the owner's wife, and there was a good selection of wine.
The owner showed us places to visit around Lake Como, and we probably saw things we wouldn't have seen without his knowledge.
To top off our pleasant stay, we were presented with a bottle of wine, the sort was had enjoyed with our meals over the two nights. Customer service at it's best!!!

Excelent is just a little word
In my many experiences of hotels stay all over the world, there are some of these that I cannot forget at all! This hotel is one of those. I was very happy of my stay and the unlimited kindness of the hotel owners. We arrived after midnight and had to knock doors. The owner came down to open the parking and rooms. He was very kind to ask if we need to eat anything as he see how tired we were. He was apologizing for not being awake to receive us while it was our fault. Next day hotel lady presented us 4 bottles of wine as complementary. As we all do not drink, she offered anything else and we accepted water. She had some troubles with the credit card machine so she provided me with her bank account and accepted that I transfer the money when I am back home. This is really amazing and excellent customer service. The hotel is an excellent one for getaway with the beautiful surrounding nature.

Very friendly family run hotel. Traditional evening meal well cooked served without pretensions on balcony. A real bonus as did not see anywhere else nearby to eat. Windy road to bellagio frequented by cyclists but lovely views, Your own transport essential, if approaching by car from south over shoot, turn around and approach from other direction due to sharp turn into car park, locals are keen to help.

2. The internet in the room did not work at all, apparently due to the rainy weather.
3. The spa was closed.
4. We never saw any welcome drink.
5. Poor information upon arrival, which led to us not realizing that breakfast was not served from 7:00 AM as it is at other hotels on weekdays, but from 8:00 AM.

Hôtel pratique si vous êtes en voiture ! A quelques minutes du lac de Côme vous pouvez vous rendre aux plages un peu plus bas.

Kurzer AUfenthalt, nur Übernachtung. Vom Ort wenig gesehen. Zimmer einfach aber sauber und ok, genauso wie das Bad. Sehr sehr freundliches Personal und Betreiber. Haben mir noch Spätabends trotz geschlossener Küche etwas zu essen gemacht. Super. Ansonsten italienisches Hotel, welches gerne auch von Einheimischen besucht wird. Ich fand es dort gut. Wer aber Hotel-groß-ketten-standard erwartet ist dort falsch. Von mir eine Empfehlung.

Sono andato li per lavoro, l'Hotel era buono peccato che d'inverno ci si fatichi ad arrivare per la neve e quando arrivi è impossibile parcheggiare perché come parcheggio hanno un garage sottorraneo e quindi se nevica la rampa di entrata e uscita ghiaccia. Apparte questo problema per il resto cobsiglierei l'Hotel a tutti.

Miła obsługa, część z personelu nawet rozumie po angielsku :) Śniadania skromne, ale jak na Włochy - bdb. Dym papierosowy z tarasu na dole - taki pokój, taki kraj, taki zwyczaj. Generalnie bardzo dobrze wspominamy ten wyjazd.

호텔이 작은 마을에 있어 처음 찾아가기에 다소 어려움이 있었음. 마침 주변 국도도 도로공사 중이라 몇번 길을 잃고 나서 찾을수있었음. 휴가 시즌이 아니었기때문에 숙박객아 아주 적었고, 조용하게 머물수 있었음. 산악지역이고 초가을이라 난방을 가동시켜주지않아 방이 약간 추웠으나 숙박을 하기에 큰 무리는 없었습니다. 무엇보다도, 호텔 주인과 종업원의 친절함이 즐거운 휴가를 보내기에 충분히 도움 되었음. Bellagio까지 가는 길의 코모 호수의 절경을 볼 수있었고, 조용한 마을에서 한적한 휴가를 보내기에 적당하였음.

J'ai passé un merveilleux séjour pour le grand prix F1 de Monza. Très bon services et accueil chaleureux, très bon rapport qualité prix avec des petits déjeuné délicieux compris. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est très bien situé à la porté du lac de Caume, magnifique endroit entouré d'incroyable montagne. A moins de 30 minutes de Milan en train il est aussi possible de visiter la ville facilement.
