The hotel was cute, with good views from the restaurant. The staff was nice. It is up on the hill, so the town is not easily accessible. What is not listed, and should be, is how to get to the hotel. Uber, Lyft, public transportation was not an option for us. But, I called the hotel and they have a free shuttle. There was nothing on the listing as it would have been helpful to know. The shuttle is free and takes you to and from town.

The view from the room is great. Breakfast is nice too. Only thing is the front desk leaves at 10pm and one night the lights were automatically on and off for a few times, I texted the staff. The next day I came back late and well past 10, I didn’t know if they will lock the door or not so let them know too by texting. The front desk person is from Romania, said I texted her two days in a row. She also said she already told me so when I checked in. The tone with her seems always hush. Meantime she herself made mistakes on charging my credit card for payments as I’ve paid more to have the flexible stay option and could have checked out a day earlier to stay in my destination the last night so I didn’t have to drive back late past 10 to text her to simply let her know. Other local hires are nice.

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE stay in the most beautiful hotel in Bellagio!!! The rooms are spacious and clean with breathtaking views of Lake Como. Only a 15 minute shuttle ride from the heart of Bellagio and the ferry which you can take to Varenna, Menaggio, and other wonderful spots around the lake. HUGE shout-out to the wonderful staff, especially Madi, who made my birthday unforgettable!!! Madi took the best care of us, offering shuttle rides outside of normal hours, accommodating all of our needs and requests, and offering a warm smiling welcome each time we returned. Thank you so much, Madi, and to the entire team at Il Perlo. :) We will be back!!

This property was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and very helpful. This hotel offers shuttle service which was a lifesaver that takes you near the ferry. The food at this hotel was also very delicious, everything was fresh and they had a great variety of choices. They upgraded our room and the view was breathtaking! Happiness on Lago di Como.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years. It has one of the, if not the best view of Lago di Como of all hotels. I never get tired of sitting on their terrace, soaking in the scenic lake beauty with Alps in the background, with a glass of delicious Italian wine in your hand. The hotel is currently being updated, but all of the rooms are charming and comfortable. They have a very good restaurant on site where they serve the morning breakfast. The hotel staff go out of their way to make you happy.

The view from our Superior Lake View room was spectacular. However, the room itself was extremely underwhelming, very tiny, old, and badly in need of refurbishment. Looked like it had not been touched in 30 years. The bathroom walls and floor were coated in an ugly grey liquid plastic that was supposed to look like concrete and the shower, also coated in the same, only had a half-glass partition and its floor was level with the bathroom floor. The shower had a wooden window that could open but the frame was starting to rot. If we hadn't pre-paid for 3 nights we would have left after the first night.

Il Perlo Panorama is a unique place.
The view when you walk out onto the veranda is simply breathtaking - it has Panorama in it's name for a reason.
This was the second time of staying here and the service was even better than the first time (in 2022).
We had dinner on the first night in the restaurant and it was magical. Great food, great wine (it is Italy), and that view!
Breakfast was very good and a great selection including for those who have special requirements.
The staff were great and the addition of transport down to the centre of Bellagio was an extra bonus.

A Lake Como must stay!

Sitting high on a hill overlooking Bellagio, the hotel offer the most breathtaking veiws of Lake Como. The main hotel rooms are very nice, comfortable, but do not a/c if that is a must for you. We found the cool nights and ceiling fan did just fine. They do offer a limited number of suites that are brand new and gorgeous. Spend the extra if you can. The restaurant, serves moderately priced delicious dishes and staff is very attentive. A complimentary breakfast buffet is also excellent. They run a shuttle every hour to the Bellagio waterfront so access is very easy. Overall, the staff is friendly and helpful! This is a hotel that is on my must go back to list!

20th Wedding Anniversary with a view

Stayed as a couple for our 20th wedding anniversary. ALL the staff were kind and very helpful. Fabio who taxied us to and from Bellagio centre with the courtesy Scooby VW to the bar staff and cleaners were superb. The view from our room was a wow factor and spent every night with patio doors open to hear the stream below and view the lake and mountains. The ferry’s and bus services are excellent and very cheap compared to the uk. The terrace at the hotel is a must and can just stay and chill all day and never tire of the scenery. The restaurant has an excellent chef who also does cooking lessons. People not staying at hotel , book for this service and food. They are planning to add a spa, pool and upgrade the smaller rooms next year so definitely would come back

My husband and I visited back in May of this year and had a wonderful stay! The staff were very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The shuttle service from the property to town is very helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking! View from Il Perlo was beautiful & the property was clean. We chose to have dinner on our first evening & the food was plentiful & very tasty. Unfortunately, apart from that, this was a very disappointing stay. The rooms are shabby & in desperate need of refurbishment. There is no air conditioning only a very noisy celing fan. The bathroom was appalling with a very small shower & toilet area and a sink that was actually part of the bedroom - privacy was not an option. Had any member of staff shown a hint of customer care, we would have made our complaints at the hotel but they all seemed to be multi tasking and doing only what they needed to do. Apart from a young lad that picked us up from the ferry & a knowledgeable barman there was no friendly welcome. Fortunately, we were only staying for 2 nights so we decided to put up with it - I would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it.

I stayed at Il Perlo Panorama in Lake Como for 2 nights, and it was a disappointing experience. The air conditioning didn’t work, making the room unbearably hot and hard to sleep in.

I was also charged €100 for a late checkout, which felt excessive. I had mistakenly thought checkout was at 12 PM, and when I asked to extend it to 12:30 PM, they said no — fair enough. But €100 for being an hour late when check-in isn’t until 3 PM seems unreasonable.

The location is very inconvenient — far from the main part of Bellagio and up a steep hill. The last shuttle leaves at 9:40 PM, and taxis are nearly impossible to find after that.

While one staff member was helpful, another was rude during checkout. I also noticed cockroaches in the hotel, possibly due to renovations.

Overall, the view isn’t worth the inconvenience, lack of comfort, and poor service.

The best hotel for fantastic panoramic lake views, friendly staff and welcome drink on arrival. Parking on site. Breakfast average. The patio area is very relaxing with incredible views. Hotel shuttle takes you to and from Bellagio in around 10 minutes which is very convenient as finding somewhere to park in Bellagio is difficult.
Only downside was there being no iron in the room and the bathroom was dated and looking tired. Otherwise, clean and comfortable and a great place to stay in Bellagio.

The hotel offers a shuttle bus to the lakefront, which is a great way to visit the old town without using a car. Departure and return times need to be arranged at the reception. (This is a convenient option for visiting the old town without a car and getting around easily.)

Our stay was pretty good we were look after well by the hotel staff!!! Shuttle service from hotel to Bellagio centre is very good! Breakfast every morning is well prepared and varied food choices.
But I’m not done yet!!! The View is phenomenal! I would recommend anyone to stay in this hotel anytime. 😀

A few suggestions would be a welcome drink station as it can be to hot during the summer. An ice machine we be handy and just some soft furnishings on the room.

Having to say that we still totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends and family. Ciao!❤️

Great property with some amazing views that my wife and I won't soon forget. I will say though that while the service was good, the team they have in place was pulled in many directions and seemed to be a bit crazed quite often. The Front Desk Manager was also in charge of their shuttle service and when she was on a run there was no one there to handle internal room issues. Joy was amazing though and even took us on a shuttle ride when she originally wasn't going to be able to, so we could make our boat ride we had scheduled.

Also, the room we had was small, with a very small bathroom...especially the shower...so just be prepared if you are a larger guy.

There is NO elevator on the property, so be prepared to carry your luggage up to your room if you are on one of the higher floors.

The breakfast buffet was AMAZING and the views from the terrace they have were incredible. The wait staff were very attentive and they had great options for wine and cocktails.

The rooms are basic but clean. The air con wasn’t working so the room was hot. There was ceiling fan which cooled the room slightly.

A shuttle was provided each day to take you down to Bellagio ( have to give 30 mins notice), but at times were picked up earlier.

The only complaint is that on our last night we went to the bar at 19.45 to have a drink and enjoy the views when we were told by the women working at the bar/restaurant that she was too busy to serve us drinks and to come back at 22.00 when she was less busy!

Altho great views would recommend to stay around ferry port then have the bars/restaurants within walking distance and don’t have to rely on hotel shuttle bus or staff being too busy to serve drinks.

We had an incredible stay – this hotel delivered a continuous wow factor from start to finish. The views were breathtaking, the room was stunning, and the food was delicious.

We were thrilled to discover that the suite we had booked had recently been refurbished – it was absolutely exquisite. The hotel was immaculate throughout, with beautifully maintained grounds and an overall sense of care and attention to detail.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive. They had asked for feedback on the room, and the couple of minor suggestions we shared were addressed during our stay – a real mark of great service.

The restaurant food was a highlight. We did experience a couple of small miscommunications, one with the shuttle transfer (a funky VW ID Buzz!) and another with a massage booking, but these were minor and didn’t take away from the overall experience.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone – it was as close to perfect as it gets.

The property is in a beautiful location just a 5 minute drive from Bellagio. The country views are beautiful and the surrounding nature really sets the scene.
Rooms have everything you need including comfy beds. The staff have been fantastic, Maddie in particular is the shining star, offering recommendations for food and trips out in the area as well as helping plan excursions and proposals.
The food is excellent and the transport they provide to Bellagio couldn’t be any more perfect.
I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and the team.

The view of lake como and the swiss alps were gorgeous, waking up to that every morning was an amazing way to start our days. The restaurant on site was also fantastic, my only thing was not having an elevator and staying on the top floor, but that was not enough to stop me from rating it at 5 stars it really was an amazing experience from beginning to end.

The view of Bellagio is absolutely stunning from the balcony. The birds and waterfall sounds are so relaxing On my downfall was the restaurant was not open for lunch and we were not aware of it being “out of season”. If you want a nice relaxing quiet area with one of the best views this is your place. We visited Bellagio for dinner - music lots of restaurants and lots of people. Il Perlo was the perfect getaway from that chaos! Fabio was wonderful and welcoming and assisted us with our luggage (no elevator)

Amazing View & Staff

The Staff was amazing $ so kind, helpful, & friendly. The room was spacious & had the most incredible view of our entire 3 week trip. Bed was comfortable. Dinner was fantastic, parking easy, & shuttle to town great.

The last time we stayed in Bellagio, we stayed downtown. Although conveniently located, you heard the noise of everyone.
This gem is licated in the hills out from th city with fantastic views, great staff and wines and free transportation in and out of town. I would return in a hearbeat

This was our honeymoon stay after getting married in Tuscany the week before.
We had read glowing reviews of this hotel and sadly were bitterly disappointed.
The two good points - staff and food.
Staff - all wonderfully polite and unfortunately apologetic. Food - breakfast same every day but okay. Dinner very nice.
The rest - awful.
We stayed in room 1 - a tiny box room with tiny bed and not enough room to open cases. The room that evening was boiling hot - we had to sleep with the window and door open. There are huge pipes running in the walls and floor causing an abnormal temperature of the room. When we informed reception the next morning, they told us to see how we go the next night. I refused as having awful sleep ruined our day, so they moved us and explained that they’d blocked the room until an engineer could fix it at the weekend.

To criticise would be disingenuous, as there was building work and upgrades being caried out

The staff were excellent, cleaners and bar staff superb. The front desk reception was good but the real star was Madi the assistant manager. She could get a top job at any world class hotel. Speaking 4 languages and a real flair for customer service she is 10 out of 10. She was brilliant.

Amazing Amazing Amazing!! Fabio was Fabulous!! Friendly staff and great service. Nice assortment for breakfast. Even though some of the property was under renovation it didn’t affect our stay, it just makes us want to come back when the suites are complete. The lake view from our room was breathtaking. Words and pictures don’t do it justice!! Thank you Il Perlo.
