Our stay at Hotel Olimpico was absolutely amazing! Even before we arrived, they made sure we were updated on everything required to make our stay more welcoming. We arrived and were treated with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

I was initially unsure about the breakfast after reading some comments, but it exceeded our expectations—we loved it! It was the typical breakfast which included cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausages, but they also included sandwiches, fruits, cheeses, tomatoes and refreshing fruit juices…they were really good! There was a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start each day.

A special thank you to the incredible front desk staff for helping arrange shuttles for our trips to the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Capri, and beautiful downtown Salerno. Their assistance made our vacation stress-free and enjoyable.

I would also like to recognize the entire restaurant and bar team for making us feel so welcome throughout our stay. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and excellent service truly made a difference.

Thank you, Hotel Olimpico, for helping create wonderful memories. We would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Salerno area!

Need more of a consistent food schedule. No restaurant open between 10:30-2:30pm during the week. Also location is very bad but if looking for it as a place to call home while traveling into town it works. Other the. That the hotel is beautiful, very friendly, and very clean location. I give it a 3 out of 5. The location is what brings the number down for me.

A lovely hotel with a modern feel to it. The staff are superb and the restaurant food wonderful although the service time did slow up when it was busy.
Our room was spacious and the beds firm but comfortable. The air conditioning is extremely quiet and adjustable.
The pool was very clean and not busy with plenty of sunbeds for everyone.
The hotel's private beach is sandy and clean with plenty of sunbeds. It has wonderful views looking down to Salerno.
The hotel provides a free shuttle bus into Salerno train station and the port which is very useful.
A very relaxing hotel to stay in as long as you don't mind being away from amenities as Salerno is a 20 minute drive away.

My mother and I loved this hotel. The hotel staff went above and beyond helping us with travel plans and suggestions. The free shuttle that the hotel provided to be able to get to places like the Amalfi and Salerno train station was amazing. The food and drinks at the restaurant on sight were delightful. The pool was pristine and the beach was an awesome place to hang out. It’s a great resort feel for probably half the price as staying somewhere closer to the Amalfi. I highly recommend!

Loved this hotel! Great location if you have a vehicle. Take a day trip to the Amalfi Coast, by ferry or car. Short trip to see the amazing Greek Temples at Paestum. Great price and value. Very clean room, included Buffet breakfast was amazing, great Cappucino’s. Kudos to Mario! Very friendly and courteous staff. Great restaurant! Bed was comfortable. Large balcony with beautiful pool & sea view. Beach is located across the street. The area is going through a transformation, so you have to be able to look beyond that.
The only negatives for us, would be the hard pillows.

This was a 10/10 stay! The room we got was a standard room and it was very spacious and had an outside patio and even though it was below the main level it was perfect for us! The pool was amazing, so clean, and very convenient to grab lunch right by the bar beside the pool.
The food at the restaurant was great, and the breakfast delicious as well.
The beach is just across the road, a 2 min walk with top notch views.

I stayed 9 nights at Hotel Olímpico as a solo traveler and had a relaxing, well-rounded boutique experience. The hotel features clean, modern shared spaces and a peaceful atmosphere. My standard mountain-view room was comfortable overall, though pillows were a bit stiff and housekeeping wasn’t always fully consistent.

The standout here is the service and dining. Mariana at the front desk was exceptional—multilingual, kind, and incredibly helpful. Alysia was also warm and welcoming, and Daniele at the bar makes a fantastic B52 and just an overall kind and great person. Gino, the service manager, keeps everything running smoothly.
The included breakfast is a highlight—fresh pastries, made-to-order waffles/crepes, eggs, meats, fruit, pizza, and a barista coffee station. I also dined at the restaurant multiple nights—great food, presentation, and fast service.
The private beach is beautiful and well-equipped with lounge chairs. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to Salerno’s train station and port, which is extremely useful since taxis can cost €40+.
Location is quiet and near the beach, though a bit removed from other attractions. Overall, a great stay with thoughtful amenities and standout staff.

Awesome hotel. A real find near to Salerno. Rooms are not large but modern and spotless. Service is wonderful with attentive and helpful front staff, waiters, bar staff and Claudio the shuttle driver. Hotel provides free shuttle to Salerno’s two ports for ferries, train station and airport. Excellent breakfast selection of continental and hot English eggs, bacon and crepes. I bought my trip package through Expedia. It was the package that included the Stay + Flight. Everything went smoothly. No problems were encountered through this third party booking company.

Hotel Olimpico was a great place to stay for our 14 day trip in Salerno. The hotel is about a 20-25 minute bus ride to the Salerno train station/ city center (shops and restaurants). The hotel does provide free shuttle transportation between April -October to the main center / train station. I was there at the end of March and had to take the bus for about a week until they launched their shuttle service. The Guilano bus charged us in March 1.40 euros per person. And the hotel does provide a timetable if you do need to take the bus in case you can’t make their shuttle.

The room we booked was a standard room and it was such a beautiful place. The hotel itself was immaculately clean. Our room had room service everyday and it was great to come back to a nice clean room after a long day of adventures.

Breakfast was included and they have a great variety. It was delicious and we enjoyed every bite ! The staff is very attentive and friendly. They are very helpful and they helped out with taxi services, and also helped us with train scheduling. So if you do need any advice they are there to help you ! Don’t hesitate to ask for help. The ladies in the reception area are AMAZING! They’re very knowledgeable. And they make this hotel what it is with their warm smiles and hospitality.

Generally a good hotel, we were happy with the price that we paid for. Great and helpful staff but it is located in a not very charming location/road. There is absolutely nothing to walk to around the hotel.
Free shuttle to Solerno city center/ferry port was very convenient.
Family room (we were 2 adults and 2 kids) was quite small for 4 of us and bathroom/toilet were not very modern/new. Our room was upgraded free to new refurbished room which was great but was still small.

It's a bit hard to rate properly, because it's a beach resort town, and we came in the winter. Staff was friendly and helpful. The amenities (bocce court, tennis court, etc) weren't in the best condition. But the hotel and resort itself were located right across from the beach with an entrance to the beach dedicated for the hotel. Ample parking as well should you choose to rent a car. 1 hour from Napoli, 30 minutes from Salerno and the Amalfi coast. We only spent one night here, but it was completely fine. Not many places to eat/drink along the beach, but the hotel serves breakfast and dinner and has a bar as well.

It was off season. Great rates! It would be nice to know there was no shuttle, and the beach areas weren’t maintained. The hotel and the staff were 5 Stars! They helped me get a car the next morning!
Salerno is advertised as a great place to stay for the Amalfie coast visits. Salerno is not a place I would return to. The hotel is south, it’s peaceful, clean, and offers an amazing breakfast buffet!

Idyllic hotel, perfect for visiting attractions in the area.

Hotel Olimpico is a charmingly beautiful place. From the grand entrance area, with the fountains and tastefully lit trees, we knew it was going to be a lovely stay. When we reached our room, we knew it would be phenomenal.

The rooms were immaculately presented, spacious and with a lovely balcony with a great view, cleaned perfectly every day with everything you could need and more.

Breakfast was a great selection of Italian and continental delights, all of a high quality and included a great selection of fresh fruit, juices and a pancake station.
We ate in the restaurant one night where food was delightfully served in beautiful surroundings and of a great standard.

There’s a lovely, clean pool, lots of children’s play activities to the rear of the hotel (so not in the way if you don’t have children), which were well received by our boys.

The best feature of the hotel, however, was the staff, who were so helpful and friendly before and throughout our stay, particularly the wonderful Chiara who gave us so much important information before we arrived.

Would definitely return to this hotel and would absolutely recommend to others.

The front desk staff was wonderful! Very helpful, informative, and personable. The cleaning staff was also very pleasant and kept everything clean and fresh. The complimentary breakfast was the best that we experienced of all the places that we stayed during our two weeks discovering Italy.
Unfortunately, our evening dining experience was the worst we experienced in all of the places that we stayed in Italy. We were offered a 9:20 reservation, which worked perfectly since we arrived in the evening and wanted time to freshen up for our special night. This was intended to be a very special and romantic dinner. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and our request for a table with some privacy was accommodated with grace. However, our wonderful dinner experience ended there. The maître de approached out table, just after we placed our dinner order, to inform us that the kitchen would be closing at 10:00 PM. The service from the staff felt rushed. Our food arrived cold. The maître de sent his staff home, turned off the lights and left us there. No inquiry as to whether we needed anything, would we like coffee or dessert. Previous experiences at other restaurants throughout Italy were quite the opposite. We enjoyed the relaxed social culture surrounding meals prior to this very disappointing experience.
My rating of the staff as \"average\" was chosen because the other hotel staff were \"excellent\" , the dining staff \"terrible\".

A shuttle to and from Salerno is provided free each day, however there are no shops nearby that are easy to get to. Would recommend stocking up on anything you need before you arrive so you don’t have to travel into Salerno for any basics.

Overall, it's a nice place. The food is decent, and the customer service is good. You must walk out of the resort and cross the street to access the beach area, which was also lovely. The facilities are somewhat limited; there's not much to do, but the pool area is beautiful and decent-sized. You'll need a car or Uber/taxi to get around, though. There is nothing to see within walking distance.

The hotel is a nice place to stay with its own beach. Employees from front of house to cleaning, the drivers and restaurant/bar staff was great. Even enough sunloungers for everyone.

Breakfast was superb and suitably replenished.

Hotel collection from airport free and whilst delayed, we were unable to confirm timings due to delays again flying with British Airways. But hotel did a really good job accommodating us. Thank you.

I went diving in Agropoli - do contact Allessandro of Sub Mania - so easy to arrange - and my daughter visited Pompeii. Italian trains cheap and on time!

Couple of negatives - the hotel is in the sticks, the cover charge a rip off when 2 of the party were young children, no real other dining options close by - although do go to il Primavera - 10 minute walk with good reasonably priced food and very friendly staff.

Overall much praise.

Lovely stay, worth asking for a room not on the minus floor. Also, room doesn't have a kettle (a minor thing for us Brits!) Half board means you can choose two dishes per person - they are huge so we split a starter and a pudding. Pool and beach both great, walk down the beach and there are lots of cafes etc. Pool bar expensive (to be expected). The shuttle is great, straight to Salerno and free. Do the boat trip to Amalfi, stunning coast and Amalfi is glorious. Breakfast is nice, the chocolate tart was the winner! There is a crepe/pancake/waffles stand, fresh fruit, meats and cheese, pizza, hot food, someone making you any coffee you want (or tea) and juices. Hotel communicated quickly via WhatsApp which made it easy.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this rare find. It was so peaceful to be away from all the tourists in Amalfi coast. Hotel provides free shuttle to Salerno train station and port. The employees were so kind and the front desk ladies were so helpful with scheduling and finding good places to eat in different cities. Private beach across the street from hotel, pool available with snack bar. Everyone was very hospitable and friendly. The hotel restaurant was also very delicious. Highly recommend and will come back!!!

They did not like us at all. We were very polite and courteous did nothing to receive the extremely rude service. The room is decently nice and the hotel ground likewise. But the surrounding area is pretty gross. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re an American. They do not like Americans and made it very clear to us. We were supposed to stay 2 nights and ended up leaving after the first night due to concerns for our safety. Would not recommend.

We liked that the hotel was across the street from the sea and the beach had nice sand since just north the hotel the beach side was stony. The facility itself was well maintained including the pool area and the staff were attentive and friendly.
Unfortunately we were put in rooms on the lower level in the corner with no view, I'm assuming this was because we got discounted rates through Expedia possibly?
We asked about the laundry room, the charge was 20 Euros for 6 hours but the washer didn't spin the water (or excess soap) completely out of the clothes and the dryer had to be restarted every 15 minutes even though the setting was for 3 hours... 3 hours needed to dry?? After hanging all of our clothes in the room and on the 'balcony' for 2 days to get them dry (no airflow), we were told no one else had any issues. They refunded 10 euros on departure.
The breakfast buffet was good, but I'm learning that undercooked bacon seems to be the norm in Italy. Our last night, a wedding party (the night before the wedding) was in the dining area and was so loud we couldn't converse at our table. We asked to move to another area to get away from the noise and all they did was apologize but not let us move. I noticed that all other tables were getting PO'd also but all the staff did was ask the large group to sit down and be courteous but that only lasted a short time.
As the saying goes, it's the little things that ruin an experience and this was certainly the case here unfortunately.

This hotel is only a resort in may- September otherwise a lot of the hotel facilities are not open, like the pool bar and beach services.

Lovely Gem of a hotel in an unexpected place

Stuck amongst rather run down B & B type establishments is this lovely 4 star hotel, with fantastic staff, tennis court, own beach, pool and a good restaurant. Chosen for it's central location between towns and handy shuttle service to the train station to visit local attractions, we felt very lucky we found such a gem. It is noticeable who is running the restaurant, when it's Mario everything runs very smoothly, when he has a day off and Gino steps up it does become a little Faulty Towers...but in an Italian way, we would definitely use here again when in the same part of Italy.

The staff is very nice. My girl left her favorite necklace at the hotel. The hotel staff found it and told us even before my girl found out she lost it. She kept it very well until we picked it up a week later. Thank you for your honest and good care!

Pros: Receptionist 24/7-english speaking. Mostly help with requests. Hotel very pretty, cleanliness to a high standard. Restaurant on site but evening food from 7.30pm.. Cons: far from everything. Out of season facilities very limited- no shuttle bus/ no use of pool/ no video games as advertised. Food in restaurant limited- no pizza/ lasagna /ice cream. Beach really nice but needed a clean up. My advice- unless for business, Dec- April (in some aspects June) you won't get everything included and will have to spend money on taxis- 40 euros a pop, or use the no.24 bus. If you can, go in season- would be amazing and far more family friendly.

Outstanding hospitality

Wonderful hospitality and by far the best choice for our six day stay in the area. Dinner was delicious and offered a great range! Staff were friendly, warm and helpful. Great access to Amalfi coast and Pompeii too.

Quiet visit in December

A bit of a drive outside of Salerno but easy enough to find. Probably a property more suitable for summer time visiting since the town and property features: empty pool, closed tennis court, etc. were a virtual ghost town during our visit in December. Staff were kind and friendly. Ok for a night stay.

We got an upgrade to a suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed our stay. We ate dinner at the hotel. The food was really good. We stayed only one night.

Enjoyed our stay. Great staff.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were there just for breakfast and out the rest of the day. The staff are friendly especially the restaurant staff and it’s really clean. The free shuttle is a life saver and saves you a fortune. The only drawback was the bunk bed in the family room. The top bunk had no sides to it so a bit dangerous and it just didn’t look very safe in general. I had nightmares of it folding shut on the kids but if you don’t have kids with you it’s no problem. They have a WhatsApp so you can communicate easily with reception.
The only other drawback was that the restaurant area was let out for an 18th birthday party while we were there and it was quite noisy. They let off fireworks at midnight.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

The best hotel we have ever been
All italia marble I feel I am in Roman Palace
So clean like was open yesterday
Service was beyond amazing
They have shatel to drive you to the port
And back Constantly checking on you going to be on time Food was always very good fresh and delicious I wish I was there all of my time in ITALIA
