This is truly an unpleasant hotel. It’s a massive, rambling series of buildings joined by long cold and impersonal corridors which go up and down quite steeply. It feels more like a communist era borstal than a pleasant holiday environment. The apartment was comfortable, but there were absolutely no supplies or assistance for self catering. Kitchen equipment was very limited (no kettle, no toaster, no microwave, no coffee machine, et cetera). The whole place felt rather dilapidated – particularly the pavements, staircases and walking areas outside which were all broken and falling apart. The building is so big, when you’re in the far end, it’s a very long walk to the nearest lifts for skiing. I could not recommend this place and would certainly not book it again. And despite these comments, it was very expensive.

Hotel was ok.. not too fancy but had necessary.. almost! Not many utensil in the kitchen. The stove was two electric heaters .. fridge was the small kind of fridge. It was hard to know where to get stuff or throw garbage. Room clean service didn’t always do the job when we required it.
The most annoying was the reception staff seemed to know little of what was going on. They told us the morning of our arrival that we need to bring our own sheets and towels.. not true. But we did, which was a lot more luggage than anticipated.
We asked if we can buy ski passes in the hotel, they said yes, downstairs. In the morning when we tried to go they told us they don’t open till 9. At 9 when we went downstairs, there was one lady who told us there was no skipass office because it had been closed a while ago.. very disappointing. We asked if there was a navetta- bus service. They said they didn’t know of any.

Awful in every way.

Awful in every possible way.

Arrival: the car park has no signs so you drive around, call reception who dont answer, eventually finding an automatic door 100m further down the road.

No signs inside the parking, so finding your way to reception is a long uphill walk making many mistakes along the way. Not what you want when you arrive after a long journey in searing heat.

Check in doesnt open until 5pm, so head to the bar where the only good thing is the bar manager who is a hoot, and a very good host.

Check in at 5pm is a joke. Rude staff who jump to another guest as soon as you become critical of the fact they have no rooms available.

Eventually after engaging with the manager, you get a room key - to a room which has not been cleaned after the previous guest.
He sends up the cleaners who put new slips on the pillows and leave the old bedsheets on until they are challenged, when they insist they changed the sheets and duvet cover until you show them a pubic hair onnthe sheets.

The pool? That will be 10€ please, as will breakfast. The pool is lile a 1970s public baths, the breaksfast is worse than an unruly school canteen.

This place should not be allowed to be in business. For €120 per night its a joke.

Be aware they check nothing at breakfast time so you can walk in at no cost.

Dreadful place. Sleep in the street if there is no hotel available other than this place.

Warning: it is as bad as in other reviews! Avoid.

See pictures of shower, entrance door \"lock\", entrance door lamps, heater. Uncomfortable beds with springs-mattress from last century. We read other reviews before the trip but thought: it cannot be so bad. It was. Even worse.
Room was cleaned first time after 3 days only, after 3 calls for service. Poor front reception service, not knowing hotel facilities (wrong info about SKI-pass, ski rental, swimming-pool, basement parking, and the best: internet is not working in the hotel because there is a bad weather outside!!! For a question: where is your name tag (reception) - reply was: \"Oh, have forgotten it\"... and she \"has forgotten\" for entire week.
Swimming pool \"for free\" - but you need a swimming cap and (not from a room) towel, which costs 7EUR per hour per person!
If you have a choice - take another hotel, there are many around.

Great location, good food but tired decor.

The Olympic Village is in an excellent position for the lifts at the bottom of the Pistes of Sestriere. It’s a fairly large hotel with a strange layout and we stayed in F block so had the easier walk onto the slopes.

The food was excellent and plentiful, breakfast offered a variety of pastries, cereals and a selection of eggs, sausages, cold meats and cheese. Coffee was excellent.

Dinner had a selection of everything you’d expect and some fantastic deserts. Alcohol was extra and you had the option of buying wine and beer in the restaurant or bringing your own.

Our apartment was spacious for 2 and had a kitchenette, sofa bed and table. Oddly there were nothing in the kitchen by way of utensils, glasses or pans. It did have a balcony which offered great views of the mountains.

The bed was on the firm to very firm side and the bedroom had a window onto the public hallway (high up and with a curtain so no privacy issues) which let in light every time someone walked past, not ideal. The pillows were thin and we had to ask for extra’s.

Overall it was reasonable value but feels tired and ill maintained (our shower was missing a panel, which although reported at the start of the stay was never fixed). It’s in a great location and if you’re skiing all day offers what you need.

Reception is working with paper, not really organised. The maintenance person is not there at night and first night we slept in freezing cold, the floors are cold tiles. The receptionist came and said that the thermostat will start the cold air after a while then hot air. The next morning the maintenance fixed heating and it worked.
The bar staff was quick and friendly.
The kids disco starts at 9 pm (?)and it’s only in Italian, lots of talking and not fun.
We will never return unfortunately, this hotel needs an update In everything.
Loads of dust under the beds, floors not clean.
No extra blankets or pillows, pillows very thin. Just 1 thin pillow per person.
The first night when we froze the receptionist said extra blankets are at extra cost?
Guys wake up! You need tourists there.

We didn't get the room cleaned on one day. Not a huge issue as such.
Very noisy (had some inconsiderate neighbours on our floor chatting in the corridor until 0430am despite us asking them to be quiet).
Bar area a little small considering the size of the hotel, which made it difficult to find a seat for an evening drink pre dinner.

The hotel is in good position and has great potential, however it’s rundown, corridors are dark and dingy, internet access is almost non existent. Staff while friendly cannot really solve any problems.
Have to wear a plastic wristband while there, it’s like a cheap resort in the 70s. After booking and paying for the rooms we then has to pay 7€ per head per day for the resort fee, in our case it was just the room key.

There are lots of other hotels in Sestriere, we learned out lesson

Hotel staff were superb and helpful during our stay. Apartment was comfortable and fitted 4 adults. Kitchenette was available for use, but we were part of a larger group staying in the same hotel. Breakfasts were also very good with hot including pancakes and usual European cold meats and cheese options with plenty of fruit . Overall very happy with the hotel as close to piste and gondola to Sauze D’oulx. A 5-10 min walk to main village with access to a few restaurants at very reasonable prices

Outdated hotel in need of refurbishment

Room was described as one bedroom apartment but it didn’t have a wall in the bedroom! What is the point of the door if above it no wall! It might as well be described as studio flat! Everything was outdated and looked like it was build in a rush. All sockets out of the order, hall in a bathroom door so it could open as bulp from towel rails was sticking out, light wires hanging from the ceiling. Room was never properly cleaned! Floor just wiped in the middle and all dust left under the furniture. Dishes and cups always left dirty in the sink as they are.
Food ok but no choices, have to eat what is there. Was different every day but a bit annoying when they serve just meat and you would like fish or other way around.
Definitely not a 4 Star Hotel ....maybe 3 Star but might be pushing it.
Location was amazing but such a long way to ski lockers.
Wouldn’t go back to that hotel and wouldn’t recommend it. Too expensive for what it is.
Kids club a bit shocking as they don’t take kids outside, they get stuck indoors all day. Staff didn’t do much with them either - kids were playing as they wish or watching movies, very rare they did some activities.

We stayed in villaggio Olympica for a week while skiing - the rooms were better than expected, big, lots of space, good facilities, clean. The food in the restaurant was average - there was always pizza, pasta and salad, but (particularly for a veggie like me) there was little variety.
We arrived on Saturday at 13.30 and were surprised that many things were shut until 4pm - as the room wasn't ready( fair enough), but also the lift pass office, swimming pool and shop shut during the afternoon. We were snowbound one day, and it would have been nice to have used the pool.
However, boot room facilities are good, it's close to the slopes, and we had a super holiday.

Many cable car is not working, actually you don't have too many slopes to have ski, many beginners on slope, need to be careful. Olympic village is too big, you need drive to restaurant, not so convenient.

The hotel was a little tired but the staff were helpful and the food was surprisingly good. If you are booking i would suggest you try and get a room on either the 1st floor or higher, we were on the ground floor which was a bit of a prision cell given the limited natural light.

I really enjoyed staying at Villaggio Olimpico Sestriere. The flat is pretty ok, with all comfort, and really worth the money if you are in half board. I don't think you find in many places good service and great slopes put together at this price, so yes the room is simple but worth every penny. The great advantage are the services provided. We got half board with a great dinner buffet, bar and a market. You have a small swimming pool and gym. If you go with kids they are looked after so that you can chill. I don't think you can ask for much more! I'm already looking to go back there.

Poor check in and an expensive stay for 16hrs

Check in was horrendous, we were told we had no booking for part of the party for 4 hours before it appeared. We only actually had our rooms for 16hrs as check in was 5pm and check out was 10am.
Pool staff were rude, and was un available after check out. The pool doesn't look anything like the pictures in reception.
The children's playground was a broken swing and slide and a broken plastic climbing frame.

Easy access to the ski lifts

As other people already said, the long corridors can be a bit daunting. Spacious rooms and good kitchen. Good ski and boot room, ski lift across the road. Sometimes free drinks in the afternoon (called Hugs and Kisses in the programme) and in the evening, but timing not always clear. The €5 charge per person per day for facilities is annoying as the facilities are not of too much use due to restricted opening times (e.g. closed on Sunday). Sauna and Jacuzzi have to be paid for separately! Not related to the hotel, but worth mentioning is that the Vialattea Tour as shown on the piste map includes three lifts in the French Montgenevre resort, which is not included in the standard less than six days lift pass. Allegedly, the six day lift pass includes one complimentary day in Montgenevre. Fortunately, the way back from the Tremplin lift is not too bad (follow the cross country slope, turn right before the lake or take the bridge after the lake, and follow the river on the right side back to the slope).

This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in for the price!!! We were very happy with the rooms although the candy pink bedding wasnt to my personal taste. The only bug bear I had was we couldn't alter or turn off the air con unit and it was surpisingly noisy throughout the night. We are defiantely looking to return In the future and would recommend to all our friends.

Huge hotel with great location, facilities & staff

My week's solo skiing holiday was essentially a disaster – because the airline only returned to me my baggage (suitcase and skis) late on the fifth day. Consequently, the hotel became my 'prison' for many long days in only my travelling clothes. Fortunately, it is a very comfortable and well-appointed hotel – if bewilderingly vast – and I cannot praise the reception staff enough for trying to help and for comforting me during the endless phone calls, further delays and lies that I was fed by those responsible for the crisis. I had two issues with the hotel itself: a long delay checking in, as there were 500 (noisy!) students on coaches arriving at exactly the same time (my luck was not up at any point this trip... ), so not the fault of the hotel, although more staff would have helped; and a small water drip through the ceiling of my living room, which was dealt with within a couple of days. A very impressive place, all in all.

Two 45 plus skiers enjoying Sestriere

Had a good sporty feel to it with a modern style. Very large accommodation with numerous rooms built into different blocks. Secure ski boxes provided very close to your rooms made it a 5-10 minute journey to slopes, gondola and 4 man lift available. Check your ski school location most are more towards the main town, extra 5 min walk up hill.
Buffet breakfast very good and well organised , reception staff extremely helpful, make sure you listen to direction instructions to room can get lost first time.
Entertainment provided but appeared to be for Italian clients but looked like everyone was welcome.
All in all a good choice for skiers , two of us shared an apartment which had a clean and functional kitchenette.

Ha sido una estancia increíble. Desde el Director Andrea hasta el último camarero, se nota la ilusión con la que trabajan. Hemos viajado con 2 niños pequeños y todo han sido facilidades para que nuestra estancia fuera lo más agradable. El grupo de animación está muy bien entrenado y aportan felicidad al hotel. Se nota que disfrutan de su trabajo. Nos ha sorprendido gratamente porque no éramos conscientes del cambio que ha tenido la gestión. La gastronomía estaba muy adecuada para ser una media pensión. Es cierto que la propiedad necesita una renovación pero entiendo que tiene que ser costososimo renovar una Villa Olímpica. Paso a Paso, repetiremos sin duda, a pesar del largo viaje ya que somos españoles.

Selve rommet/leiligheten var OK. Noe slitt, men romslig, balkong med gode solforhold og 2 bad. Manglet møbler på balkong og det fantes ingen vaskemidler til å vaske opp utstyr på kjøkkenet. Ingen rengjøring underveis i oppholdet, noe som er OK i seg selv, men på spørsmål om påfyll av toalettpapir var svaret at det ikke er inkludert.. Generelt overpriset, lite koselig og alt utenom leiligheten kostet ekstra. Beliggenhet fin ift ski, men bratt bakke opp til sentrum.

Ho alloggiato al Th Sestriere nel mese di agosto per un weekend in formula mezza pensione, la struttura conserva il fascino delle olimpiadi 2006 nel senso che necessita certamente di ammodernamento e maggiore manutenzione, lacoulizia a mio avviso è superficiale e non sempre all'altezza di un quattro stelle e affidata a mano d'opera a basso costo. Per quanto riguarda la colazione onesta, ma essenziale con poca scelta e poca voglia da parte del personale di cucina in quanto ho chiesto un uovo sodo peria figlia e ho avuto l'uovo in foto. La cena nel complesso non male, poca scelta, ma con prodotti di buona qualità, unica nota negativa era la necessità di correre in ristorante all'apertura per poter trovare le pietanze principali, purtroppo la prima sera siamo arrivati alle 20 (appena mezz'ora dopo l'apertura) e ci hanno detto che i gamberi alla brace, secondo piatto della serata, erano terminati (sottolineo che il ristorante ha orario 19:30 alle 21!!!).

Noi abbiamo soggiornato in un bilocale (con formula residence, completo di tutto il necessario...). La struttura è molto bella e permette di raggiungere subito vari sentieri per un pò di trekking (naturalmente parliamo di un soggiorno in estate) o di raggiungere quasi subito il centro di Sestriere.
E per quanto riguarda la vista che si presentava affacciandosi dal nostro appartamento: bellissima!

Overall I would give it 2-3 Stars. The receptionist was very polite and friendly. And the rooms were clean and there were plenty of towels. The mattresses are probably the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever slept on in my entire life, the beds were making an incredible amount of noise every time you moved. There was no WIFI in the room. You were charged 10 Euros per person to visit the on-site pool and you were charged for slippers to enter the spa! The hotel is in desperate need for an update. It’s definitely far from a 4 Star hotel. I’m very sorry, usually I always give good ratings, but this time I was very disappointed!

Séjour correct dans l’ensemble avec un gros bémol pour le côté confort, le lit fait beaucoup trop de bruit quand on se tourne d’un côté ou de l’autre, le réfrigérateur ne se ferme pas bien, j’ai du éteindre les chauffages car ils faisaient trop de bruit aussi, petit déjeuner très décevant, et piscine payante alors que ce n’était pas prévu ni indiqué quelque part.

termosifoni che si staccano dal muro, porte per l'esterno con maniglie staccate, insolazione acustica delle camere inesistente, nel senso che qualsiasi rumore che provenga dal corridoio anche se generato a distanza di 30 mt. (i corridoi sono molto lunghi) e del piano di sotto, è come se venga prodotto dentro l'appartamento. Piscine e locale piscina freddo. Ascensore guasto! L'unica cosa di positivo è la vicinanza dagli impianti, nel senso che attraversi la strada e ti metti gli sci.

Descontentos con el alojamiento.

Nos hicieron pagar tasas cuando en la página web de Hoteles.com decía claramente \"tasas incluidas\". Después, pagamos por usar la piscina y el agua estaba fría a 28 grados en puro invierno cuando la temperatura corporal es de 37 grados. Nuestro apartamento es el que estaba más alejado de la recepción y del comedor habiendo otros más cercanos vacíos y tenia el espejo del baño y el plato del baño rotos.

Hotel realizzato nel villaggio olimpico di Torino 2006, camera spaziosa nella zona giorno (con anche frigo/cucina) ma abbastanza piccola nella camera da letto. Parcheggio coperto incluso nel prezzo e facilmente raggiungibile, colazione al bar molto buona ma limitata nella scelta per persone intolleranti al glutine. Nel complesso un buon hotel. Nota a margine, Sestriere in settimana a fine Giugno è un posto desolato, trovato 1 solo ristorante aperto...

Iniziamo dicendo che il soggiorno lo definirei positivo, con alcune ombre. Può anche essere che ritorni nella stessa struttura. Punti a favore sono la gentilezza del personale, la possibilità di garage gratuito, il buon rapporto qualità prezzo e la grandezza dei mini appartamenti dotati del necessario per una piccola vacanza.Molto comoda agli impianti sciistici
Punti negativi: 1) E' un vero residence (non l'avevo capito) , quindi niente pulizie in camera, cambio asciugamani etc 2) Materassi e cuscini di infima categoria. Trapuntini macchiati e cuscini e trapuntini aggiuntivi senza federe e coperture. 3)Pareti degli appartamenti di cartone. 4 Esborso per utilizzo della struttura (palestra e piscina molto piccola) 57 Euro in 2 per 4 giorni!

l'hôtel qui est aussi un centre de vacances.. est déroutant!! bracelets à l'accueil pour le Pdj, idem pour le repas du soir( que nous n'avons pas pris, à cause des tarifs prohibitifs). Personnel qui parle tout juste l'anglais !! pas très sympa comme endroit.

Dopo quarantanni..... ritorno al Sestriere

Per vari motivi ho soggiornato solo due giorni, personale gentilissimo prezzi competitivi pulizia ottima. Cucina buona anche se a parità di ingredienti potrebbe su alcuni piatti essere migliorabile.
Spero di tornarci per un periodo più lungo.

Hotel de ski en invierno y amantes de la montaña

Es un hotel pensado para disfrutar de la estación de esquí y fui a finales de junio, por lo que estaba muy vacío. La habitación era como un aparta hotel con dormitorio, baño y una gran sala con cocina tv y sofá cama.
En general muy bien y con todos los servicios. Estaba incluido el garaje y para el que va en moto es algo a tener encuenta.

La posizione del Villaggio Olimpico è eccellente, basta attraversare la strada e si ha accesso agli impianti di risalita. Il personale della reception è giovane, disponibile e professionale, sono sufficienti pochi minuti per completare il check-in. L'appartamento è silenzioso, ampio, pulito, con balcone vista montagna. La camera matrimoniale è ampia, fornita di un ampio armadio con numerosi scomparti e cassetti e una cassaforte con combinazione per lasciare i valori, 2 comodini e una lampada per la lettura. Il divano letto è pratico e comodo, si trova nel soggiorno che è fornito di un tavolo con 4 comode sedie. La cucina è equipaggiata di tutto l'occorrente come pentole e stoviglie e un ampio frigorifero. Il bagno è equipaggiato di tutto l'occorrente, il box doccia è pratico, la disponibilità di teli è ampia e gli stessi vengono cambiati ogni giorno. Lo ski-box si trova al piano -1, è molto pratico e fornito di deposito con serratura di scarponi e sci, lo spazio per gli scarponi non è riscaldato. il parcheggio, situato al piano zero è coperto, ampio e pulito.Il ristorante permette un'ampia scelta di primi piatti, secondi e contorni che sono disponibili a buffet, la qualità e varietà del cibo è eccellente! La disponibilità di dolci è ampia, lo stesso la frutta. Ho apprezzato molto la piscina, il centro benessere e la palestra. Il personale addetto all'entertainment è super simpatico, giovane, professionale e ogni sera ha divertito giovani e adulti, bravi!! complimenti!!

Bien placé pour le ski mais un peu bruyant

L'hôtel est bien très bien placé pour le ski (à quelques pas des remontés) mais un peu loin du centre.
La chambre est spacieuse (2 pièces) et bien équipée. L'ambiance est plus \"club hôtel\".

Les murs ne sont pas très épais et le bruit du couloir peut être gênant dans la chambre.

Il y a parking couvert très pratique sous l'hôtel.

Bra läge nära backar och lift. Exakt vad man förväntar sig. Stort och ocharmigt och opersonligt. Rymliga rum men hårda sängar. Sovrummen angränsar till hotellkorridoren och det är ingen ljudisolering eller mörkläggningsgardin. Mycket spring i kortidoren = belysningen tänds och skäcks hela tiden. Ingen möjlighet att torka blöta slalompjäxor och kläder. Riktigt tråkig frukost. Fruktansvärd äggröra, äckligt pulverkaffe och torrt brud. Dock mycket sötsaker om man tycker om det.

Ligger perfekt for pesten og dejlige altaner. Men lidt af noget hurtigt opført betonslum, ekstremt lydt f.eks. støj fra gang og trapper og meget dårligt indeklima.Men man skal jo også bare ud på skiene.

Assolutamente insoddisfacente

Il tecnico di manutenzione è intervenuto ben 3 volte perchè la gamba del letto era rotta, mancavano i pomelli della cucina, la cassaforte era bloccata ed inotre mancava corrente alle piastre elettriche ed al forno a microonde e mancavano le posate. La piscina è piccola e negli spogliatoi c' è una puzza insopportabile.
Inoltre alla reception abbiamo pagato ben 24 euro in più per la tessera e le tasse di soggiorno per 4 persone e questo non era stato specificato nella prenotazione.
Unica nota positiva la gentilezza del personale...

Alla prenotazione era specificato che la tessera per usufruire dei servizi aggiuntivi quali piscina e palestra non erano compresi nel prezzo, ma non era specificato che era obbligatorio il pagamento. Alla fine ci siamo ritrovati a pagare un servizio di cui non abbiamo assolutamente usufruito!!!!
