Innsiderome is literally across the street from the Vatican property. We LOVED IT. The host/hostess were excpetional. Super clean, private bathrooms, convenient to public transportation and quiet. We'll be back!

No hot water in the sink and shower, in wash room for 3 nights a d 3 days and for the entire stay
Staff says nothing she can do as she is not the owner. We were neglected. Needs not addressed . We were not able to take shower. Horrible stay. No staff showed up to help.

We did not enjoy the check in process. Not only was my message from 19/9/25 never answered, the message from the host with instructions was never sent.
The number didn’t answer to allow us in initially, and then we couldn’t see which place was to go in because everything was tapped off/under construction right outside the check in door. It looked inaccessible and added to the confusion. The room was nothing like the pictures and overall we were surprised by the differences.

The tile in the shower was very pretty. I appreciated the luggage racks and blow dryer.

Less than basic housing, horribly overpriced, never imagined I would have to pay 370 Euro per night for such a basic dump. Very complex WhatsApp back and forth to check in after hours with remote \"coaching\", someone sleeping in my room, no chair, one has to sit on a small fridge, shower only fixable at height of a 10-year-old, amenities shared in the hallway in an open shelf (hairdryer, etc), youth hostel experience at best. How were they able to rig the rating?!! 8.7 REALLY?! I feel betrayed.

Property doesn’t have any staff, so I check in by phone. Area is very easy to navigate and across the street from St. Peter’s. Room was sufficient but nothing special. Our room was next to the road but it had pretty good windows so the traffic noise was minimal

Extraordinary location

The location is spectacular- a block from the Vatican and all the beautiful churches and museums. This property seems to be an apartment converted into multiple rooms so there is no reception area but once in the room it is comfortable. It was quiet and had everything you need.

The location was great. Should state that it is an apt in a building with rooms with onsuites with your own key. Was able to get in becuase cleaning lady was there to assist. It was clean good for a day or 2 to stay and sleep. Bo amenities. View of vatican litteraly across the street but not the entrance is about 10 mins by taxi.

Location ok. Check-in horrible. If it hadn’t been for meeting a lady in front of the building who was staying at the same place, I’m not sure how we would have gotten inside. Did not stay in the larger room that we paid for because itches difficult to get a hold of the host.

Great location! Close proximity to Vatican City and major sites like the Pantheon. Loved the location and would consider staying here again. One negative was that our air conditioner did not work correctly. We reached out to management and left a voicemail letting them know of the situation. They never called back which left my husband YouTubing videos on how to fix the air conditioner. Fortunately it started to work after that. Other than that the property and location was great!

Great location next to the Vatican. Not amazing location for public transportation, it’s a but if a walk to get to most bus/metro locations. But the Vatican is just across the street so that is really good. The property is basically a room with a bathroom so don’t expect a hotel like experience. Clean but you can hear everyone coming in and out of the other rooms in the building. Decent value but nothing special.

We had contacted the property detailing our arrival. This was a Sunday. Nobody was there to open the door. This is a building with a main door and different tenants occupy different floors. This is not a hotel or hostel, but rather a floor with some bedrooms. We made several calls to the owner. She does not pick up the phone. She returns calls after you hang up. She gave us the code and we entered after an hour of waiting in the street. We asked for two beds, and the second bed was a sofa that had no blankets. The shower clogged and puddled. The linens were not clean. There were insects in the bedspread inside the closet. The owner called her sister to come and clean and disinfect. After all of this, the owner was willing to help. During the 8 days we stayed, they only had the cleaning lady come once. We saw her other days, but she only had not been hired to clean the other days. The location is good and the bus stop is at the front door. There is no permanent staff on site.

Be Careful With This Place

This place is a disaster. By far the worst place I stayed in Italy. Cassandra, the property manager, never responded to us after we asked her if the room had been cleaned (the trash can was full with disgusting stuff like masks and tampons). The room is also not as advertised. There were only 2 really thin pillows. We asked for more pillows upon booking. She responded with 2 couch cushions. She never responded to me again, even upon checkout. Very unprofessional. I would never stay here again.

Check-in and out was horrible. First we waited long for check in and was not able to do check out with anyone. Second, a set of 3 keys was pretty annoying and scary to loose. Third, I was over charged for “taxes” I texted the girl Cassandra who seemed very friendly at first, but was so unprofessional to not even text back when I asked about the over charge and the check out process. No shampoo, or soap for individual rooms; all rooms share (not so sanitary) Only good thing I must say, the location is great and room was comfy. Luckily, we only stayed for one night, don’t think I could’ve been there longer.

Nice View, Alright Stay

It was clean, comfy bed, nice view of the Vatican and a decent location if you want to be right next to the Vatican.

Check in was a little bit annoying as we had to stand outside for about 30 minutes during the noted check in period with all of our bags and we weren't getting responses from the staff. Also, having multiple keys and codes made it confusing getting in and out of the room.

Otherwise, it was affordable and the inside was nice. I don't really have complaints other than the check in.

It is NOT sound proof

It is not as advertised, no vending machine, coffee maker was broken, no microwave only a hot pot that boiled all over the floor, no paper towels to clean it up had to use bath mat, no shampo, soap, bathrobe. But it is close to the Vatican. It would be alright for a night or two but being on the main street where ambulance sirens wake you at all hours you suffer sleep deprivation.

we absolutely LOVE this property! it was our second stay here! it is truly PERFECT! we adore Cassandra and think the world of her! she is so informative and knows everything! the room was SPOTLESS and everything was so beautiful! we LOVE the view out the window to the Basilica...we would LOVE to stay here EVERY time we come to Rome! it is the BEST place..and could NOT be any nicer! the buses were great and so accessible..and the Vatican is REALLY close by! thank you SO much Cassndra for your warmth and hospitality!! :)

Completely ruined our trip to Rome - we left after one night it was so hideous. Firstly we were unable to access the bulding as the check in and out is done remotely by the owner, who I had to call about 5 times to make contact with the property to allow us in. It is not manned apart from the cleaner midday. We were let in and instructed to take Room 4. It was absolutely NOTHING like any of the pictures. It was a CAMP bed suspended from a wall, with about one foot of walking space on two of the four sides of the bed. The other two sides of the bed were attached to the wall and obstructing the window. There was a lot of filth in the gap between the bed and the wall which hasn't been cleaned for a long time. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable. After barely sleeping because of all the doors banging in the hallway and feeling sick from the filth, we complained to expedia who arranged for us to move rooms. This was too late as the room allocated was an absolute marketing fraud and had ruined our single day in Rome. Be vary aware that you may find your room does not resemble anything like the pictures. Disgrsceful. The property has refused any sort of refund and i will be taking this up with my credit card provider.

Room was small, that was acceptable. Very disappointed with the smell of mold that came from the bathroom. The ceiling above the shower and the walls by the floor had mold and mildew. The shower needed a good bleaching and scrubbing. Also only gave us each one hand towel and one bath towel for our 3 night stay. The girl, Cassandra was very nice and made check in very easy. Would Not recommend this apartment for your stay in Rome.

The property was perfect and was located right next to the Vatican City. Our room literally over looked the Vatican city itself. Even though there is a bit of a walk to some of the other site seeing location (Colosseum, Roman forum etc) it is not far and you have plenty of travel options for example the bus, taxi or metro if you didn’t feel like walking. The room was very clean and tidy and was perfect to come back to after a long day Of sight sight seeing. I would highly recommend staying at this property and the hospitality is Absolutely perfect, couldn’t of been more helpful.

Ideally situated for visiting Rome’s many attractions, many of which within walking distance. Those further afield also easily accessible from this location as the bus stop right outside the door & train station about 10 min walk away. Surrounded by bars, restaurants & shops so your spoilt for choice! The lovely owner, Cassandra, kept in contact to make sure checking-in went smoothly as there’s no main reception. She provided valuable local information & there were loads of cards for local restaurants, bars & places of interest available. The only things for me that could have improved my stay at InnsideRome, would have been the provision of some toiletries, shampoo, body wash & a safe for the room, as there was nothing available to lock up money/passports etc before venturing out to explore with the infamous pick-pockets & beggars! But that being said I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this beautiful city with its beautiful people & would definitely stay here again

Great unassuming place to stay near Vatican City

This was a great room, right across the street from St. Peter's Square. The bed was comfortable. It had wifi, and the room had a balcony. The room itself was larger than any other hotel where I've stayed before in Rome. Most important, though, was that the room had its own air conditioning, which was such a blessing while I was in Rome.

I took the Leonardo Express train from the airport to Termini, then the number 64 bus to my stop--so it was easy to find, too.

We had a great stay. It was a comfortable, nicely furnished room just steps from St. Peter's Square. I really enjoyed the fact that it was a small property with no front desk. It felt like I was a local for the days we were there using our keys to enter the building. We had a plumbing issue during our stay and the staff got a plumber in very quickly to resolve the issue.

This place is located in the best part of the city. I was able to walk to the popular piazza's and there are many eating places around the hotel. It's a 4 minute walk from St. Peter's Basilica which is wonderful! When i return to Rome, I would definitely stay here again! It's extremely affordable.

This townhouse is at an amazing location right outside the Vatican. The room had everything we needed. The staff is great and will do anything they can to make your stay comfortable. Great communication prior to arrival as well as while we were there. If you have an early morning flight, they can help to book a reliable transportation. Our pick up was at 0430. Cassandra was great.

Nice view of St Peters

Perfect location if you want to spend your nights by being amazed of St Peters grandeur. Hotel is literally located on the side of the square. You can see st peters dome at your room’s windows.

We recently stayed at Innsiderome while visiting the Vatican and the other Rome attractions. It is easy walking distance to everything and quite comfortable.

This is more of a guesthouse than a hotel.
Very limited reception hours and no procedure in place for after hours check in. We had to wait outside for more than 30min even though we arrived at the time we had advised to Cassandra (host). There was no proper communication by her to advise if she'll be available at hotel or not when we arrive. She just asked when we'll be arriving and left the conversation there. We told her the time we'll be arriving but still had to wait outside when we arrived.
When we called her she said she'll be there in 15min but arrived after 30min. Then she started to make excuses saying she was sick etc.
Room was OK. There was no fridge in the room. The room doesn't get serviced and they left only 1 Toilet roll(no spare) for three people staying 2nights. Luckily i noticed and asked for it when we arrived.

Only good thing was that it is right next to the Vatican city which comes very handy. There are many restaurants nearby and some supermarkets.

Pros:
1.) Nice decor in room.
2.) Clean room.
3.) Located right next to the Vatican.

Cons:
1.) There was no sign outside of the apartment building this room is located in. Difficult to find.
2.) The elevator did not work properly so I was stuck in there for a while until they could find someone to open the elevator door for me.
3.) It's far from everything else besides the Vatican. The area is a bit rough. Finding a hotel closer to the Trevi Fountain or Pantheon is a better location.
4.) There was not enough soap or shampoo to last for our stay there. They only provided enough for one day. Also they only provide one set of towels to last for your stay.
5.) Since there is not someone onsite it's hard to get directions or advice regarding how to get around in the city. They do have an tablet available but it wasn't too helpful for us. We would have appreciated a bus route pamphlet instead.
6.) They charged a $25 late check in fee and a $15 cleaning fee plus checkout was at 10:30am although online I think it says 10am. Either way, too early.
7.) The plumbing is very noisy. As soon as you turn on the shower you can hear a lot of noises with the plumbing.

Note: If you have booked this room already no worries. It wasn't a bad room just consider the above and be prepared ahead of time. They are located between the pharmacy and Divine Bonta restaurant. There is souvenir shops right next to the apartment building. The number 13 is above the wood door to enter the apartment.
