Lovely little hotel a little way out of the busy old town but nice location on river. Quiet pool, breakfast was ok, difficult to cater for all tastes in a smaller hotel but we were happy. The staff here without exception were fantastic, so helpful, so friendly. Well done whoever hired them all 👏

Fantastic staff, some of the friendliest we’ve had in Vietnam. Great hotel, walkable to the old town (in about 30 mins) but also the free bikes are fantastic. It was nice staying out of the old town a bit and was a quiet space to retreat to. Rooms and beds were comfy and pool was epic. Would recommend:)

It was a beautiful little hotel, my balcony overlook the river, the staff were amazing. Everybody was wonderful. My favourite people, breakfast is fabulous with a large variety to choose from. I didn’t go swimming in the pool because the weather conditions were unfavorable, but this hotel, I highly recommend and it it’s in a wonderful area with a beautiful view.

This hotel comes highly recommended.
All of the staff were do helpful, always greeted us by name and anything we needed help with they were able to assist.
The hotel itself was cute and very cosy. Easy walk from old town or bicycle ride from the beach. We came in the pouring rain and they helped us feel warm and welcomed. We would love to come back to Hoi An and if we do we will be staying here.
We had some cocktails and breakfasts and lunches here which were served quickly and beautifully presented. Will be telling my family and friends to stay here without a doubt

4 nights at the Lantana was superb. Lisa, Anna and team so helpful. Beautiful view across the river with rooms well appointed and large king bed. Breakfast included was excellent. Lovely pool. Transport shuttle to the ancient town. But can walk in 20 mins. I would say this was a perfect place to stay.

The hotel is a 20 min walk, or 10 minute cycle along the river to the Ancient Quarter of Hoi an. We were happy to stay 3 nights. We recommend and will stay again.

The hotel is in a great quiet location, but also has lots of restaurants and convenience stores within the area. To head into the hustle and bustle of Hoi An its only a nice 20min walk (or 5 min bike ride on a hotel bike).

The hotel staff are extremly welcoming and caring, providing lots of reccomendations for restaurants, activities and shops (which were all spot on). The staff will also happily pre book you show tickets, tours and taxis/transport.

What also really impressed us is that they remember your name and are always genuinly interested in how your your day was, what did you do and is there anything they can help you with.

Lovely hotel on the river in Hoi An

The hotel is lovely and conveniently located on the river. Easy walk or cycle to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, night markets etc.
Breakfast included is tasty and includes many Western and Asian options.
The staff are wonderful and helpful and very eager to please. Very happy with our stay at Lantana Riverside.

1) Manager, Ms Mile Nguyen was most helpful & attentive. Also knowledge
2) Property is quiet & peaceful but off the beaten path, thus have to cab it each time. However hotel staff will always call cab, very inexpensive & quick. All restaurants are around/inside the night market. Plenty of cabs around back to hotel. Each way is only 5mins & cost between VND30,000-60,000 ( which is really insignificant)

I highly recommend this wonderful Hotel! The staff went above expectations and made us feel so very comfortable. The location is excellent and we enjoyed riding bicycles along the river into the market. It is also very close to the Memories show, which is a great night out. The rooms are clean and spacious. We enjoyed the pool and the restaurant. This is a wonderful hotel for singles, couples and families! But above all, the staff are what makes this hotel perfect. In particular, we appreciated Thuy and Mile for such wonderful service. We will be back!!

This hotel was a nice stay for our family. The pool was small but we had fun playing games. The spa was lovely and so convenient. Breakfast was fantastic and we even ate dinner here too. The happy hour was an added bonus. Being able to rent the bikes and tour Hoi An was perfect for the kids.

Lovely quiet riverside hotel

Friendly and attentive service made my 4 days very comfortable. Mile and her lovely staff are so polite and eager to please. I had an excellent massage in the spa area and enjoyed a refreshing swim in the small, but very clean and inviting, pool.

Out of the crowded center of Hoi An but close to some really good restaurants. About a 17 minute walk to the main tourist attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfy with a balcony and a nice view of the river. Good massage. You can’t go wrong here.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful! They were very helpful and always kind. The breakfast was excellent with many Vietnamese and western choices. The room and building were immaculate. The bikes we borrowed were in good condition. We liked that the hotel was a bit of a walk from the old town, because it felt very peaceful and quiet on the riverside. However, the shuttle to town was also convenient. We also used their beach access one day, which was also very relaxing with good amenities. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Super helpful staff. We forgot money in our room and when they found it they managed to deposit it into the account of the hotel on our next destination so that we could have it back. The hotel is amazing and riverside rooms have great view. Not too close to old quarter, but complimentary shuttle service available.

Perfect!!

Highly recommend this hotel. The property is beautiful and everything is spotlessly clean. It’s in a wonderful location right on the river and the hotel has convenient shuttles to take you to town or to the beach. The staff were exceptionally nice. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bed was the most comfortable I slept in all of South East Asia. I don’t think I’ve ever given a hotel five stars before so this is a first.

We loved Lantana Riverside Hoi An!

The staff were fabulous... all of them... all just such lovely people who genuinely care about you and your welfare, and enjoyment of your stay!

Location about 15 minutes’ walk away from the Old Town of Hoi An and perfectly in a quiet area. Use the free shuttle to get to and from the ancient city or the hotel's private, or affiliated, beach. The beach is a 'must do' incidentally because the location is amazing and is backed by a family run bar/restaurant which has an amazing selection of food and drinks at great prices, served at your free sunbeds or at the restaurants tables. The restaurant has basic toilet and shower facilities, too. Although further south than the busier An Bang, it is leisurely walk along the waterline away if you need your water-sports fix.

The hotel services included pretty much everything you wanted, or needed. We used the spa for treatments, massages and the like which were all really good. There's a small gym, and a lovely little pool, too.

Food is great - the breakfast, something else in terms of selection, and snacks and meals in terms of prices, not unreasonable but there are plenty of alternatives locally just minutes away on foot.

Lantana Riverside is faultless in many ways, and at the price, a great place to stay given the breakfast is included, and unlimited! 'Happy Hour' lasts 3 or 4 hours and cocktails start at about £4 for two.

Yup, just a great place to stay. We'll be back, for sure!

Unique about this property is their staff being kindest and friendliest i have ever experienced. I don't remember all names but Laura in the restaurant made our stay beautiful by introducing us to local dishes. At the reception the two managerial staffs Mile and sales manager, i forgot her name, are second to none and helpful. Amongst others, tracy was helpful and very courtious.

Relaxing time at Latana Riverside

Why I love Lantana Riverside:
-welcoming and hospitable. I really felt at home because of the kind desk staff. They helped me print out lots of my work,  which was a huge help.
-The best breakfast in Vietnam. Especially the salads, which were many and all delicious.
The room. Comfortable, pretty and with a decent view. For the price, the room is wonderful .
-Gym. Basic, but enough for basic exercises. If you want more, Superfit Hoi An is a low cost  and convenient gym nearby.
Next time I'm in Hoi An, I will be coming back !

It was initially a good experience as staff at hotel are friendly. Downside is hotel is faraway from hoi an old ancient town like 20mins to 25mins. But I could still easy get a grab.
The worst part came when I took their airport transfer from hotel to airport. They changed driver in the middle of the trips (that's fine) but the driver who took over brought me to a wrong airport more for jetstar and vietnam airlines. Frantically I went around asking for directions..I am glad I made it in time.if I were to miss the flight .would the hotel compensate me for the loss? I won't return again to this hotel.

A lovely 3 nights stay at Latana. The staff is very attentive and upgraded our room for free after we experienced WiFi issues with our room. They also assisted us with booking train tickets from danang to Hue, as well as arranging private transfer to the danang train station for a small fee.

One thing to be mindful is that the location of this hotel is in fact 15-20 minutes walk along the river to the centre of the old town. It is not 5-10 minutes as advertised originally - I guess is true if they are referring to the very edge of old town.

The highlight of this hotel is definitely the pool, it is not massive but nice enough to cool you down and relax.

If you are a light sleeper noise echos from the bottom up. I'm normally a good sleeper I could sleep through a party, however found it quiet difficult being able to hear our next door neighbours side and above.
We had breakfast lunch and dinner at the hotel, decent selection of food

We stayed for 4 nights at Lantana Riverside and had a wonderful stay.

The property is in a great location, right on the river. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town, which can feel a bit long in the heat, but the hotel provides shuttles at specified times to take guests there and back. It's also easy and inexpensive to take taxis to and from town. We enjoyed the quiet area that the hotel is located in, as the town is very busy.

Our rooms were very attractive, well-equipped, spacious, and clean. The rooms also had great air-conditioning.

The complimentary breakfast was INCREDIBLE. There were so many options, including both Western and Vietnamese dishes, and everything that we tried was of excellent quality.

We really appreciated that the hotel has its own private slice of the beach (complete with umbrellas and loungers) at An Bang Beach, and provides shuttles to take guests there and back at set times. We also appreciated the hotel's very affordable bike rental service.

What makes this hotel exceptional, though, is the staff. Everyone was helpful, kind and professional. A special thank you to Mile, the excellent manager who went above and beyond to make our stay special, and who was always responsive. A special thank you also to Lucky in the hotel restaurant for great service every morning at breakfast.

This was one of our favourite hotels during our Vietnam trip and I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel, highly recommended!!

I had an amazing time at this hotel where the place was clean and comfortable. Even though my room was not facing the river, the city view was good as I was staying at a high floor. The hotel itself may be slightly away from the city centre, but it only takes about 20 minutes by walking. Staff were all very polite and welcoming. I have to give a special thanks to Joy who works at the front desk. She was extremely helpful and I could not thank her enough for solving a problem that I encountered during my trip. Well done, Joy!

This boutique hotel is ideally located. Situated on the scenic river, it is just far enough away from the old town to avoid the tourist and business areas, yet within easy walking distance to all the important places to visit. My husband particularly enjoyed his early morning runs along the river among the friendly locals. The establishment was extremely clean, the staff very helpful and the pool area inviting. We will certainly make a return visit in the near future!

The staff was excellent! They knew our names the day we arrived, made registration very pleasant, and promptly met our every request. We asked about tours, they helped and didn't push expensive options. The bed was huge and for us picky pillow and mattress people, the bedding was perfect. We watched the sun come up over the river every morning from our balcony seats. the food and drinks were very good. We took the cooking class with the head chef, learned and made an excellent meal with some hand holding.

We stayed at this hotel for Christmas and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our Christmas special. There was a Christmas Eve gala that includes drinks, a buffet and singing. The spa was great. The restaurant served a variety of foods that were all good. The staff was amazing too!

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel: a beautiful and peaceful location but it was easy to get into the ancient city either by walking, cycling (the hotel has bikes for hire for only $1 per day) or the regular free shuttle bus. Staff were very helpful and friendly and rooms extremely clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended .

Lovely little hotel

This charming little hotel is well designed and pleasant. I love the air well in the centre of the building. The swimming pool is lovely, too, although the water is freezing! The staff are very accommodating and eager to please, although I would advise that they all undergo English lessons, especially on pronunciation, if the Lantana wants to target an international clientele.

Great Boutique hotel, location slightly isolated.

My wife and I recently visited Hoi An, and stayed at the lantana riverside for 5 days. The hotel and staff were excellent. The rooms where nice and we did not feel uncomfortable at all. They provided a shuttle every hour to the ancient town which took 5 mins at most and a taxi cost about $2. I have nothing but positives about the hotel and staff. But would like to make you aware that the location is a bit isolated if you are trying to get back late at night and would not recommend walking as the journey back is not well lit up and can feel unsafe in some areas. But take registered taxi or grab back and you will have no problems. To some up my experience I would definitely consider staying here again as it is great value for what we paid, and would recommend it to all as the staff are very attentive to your requirements.

Quiet hotel on river front

This is a nice hotel with very friendly accommodating staff.Hotel has a shuttle bus to the beach which we used several times which was great.Hotel is located a good 20 minutes walk from the old town -there is a free shuttle bus and you can rent bikes which we felt were necessary.There are a number of good restaurants near by.

A gem

We stayed 6 nights in this lovely, intimate little hotel right on the river. It's calm and peaceful, and just a short taxi-ride to town. We loved our 4th floor river-view room with its little balcony. And the breakfast was excellent.
The design and decor is simple and pleasing, and the pool very nice.

Elly, the person at the front desk, was very attentive to my needs; she gave a lot of useful information for me to maximize my trip.

The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful.
I just suggest for them to place a phone hotel directory in the room, and a room service food menu in the room. I had to go down to the restaurant to order, which makes ordering room service pointless.

Beautiful riverside hotel with exceptional service

I have traveled the world and stayed in many 5 star hotels. There are very few that compare to the level of exceptional service at Lantana Riverside Hotel in Hoi An. If you want a beautiful hotel at a fraction of the price where every staff member knows your name the moment you step foot in the hotel and greets you by your first name and sees to your every need with care and attention to detail, look no further.

We absolutely loved Hoi An and hope to return and would love to stayer Lantana Riverside again.

The staff are all amazing and I’m sorry if I’m leaving anyone out but special thanks to Tracy, LyLy, Mile, Lucky, and Lucy.

Fabulous hotel at a beautiful, quiet, riverside location in Hoi An, with a spacious room and bath, and the most comfortable bed we had during our extensive Vietnam travels! My husband fell ill the night we arrived, and the staff were so attentive, constantly asking how they could help, including bringing us freshly made teas. The breakfasts were excellent, and included both a varied buffet and made-to-order omelettes and pancakes. All in all, a wonderful stay - would definitely go back.

Relaxing spot

While it's not right in Hoi-an it's worth the few minutes to get there. They offer a hotel shuttle service at drop off points near the old town and we used this most nights, then simply walked back along the water front (25 mins leisurely walk). The staff were excellent and the breakfast options where solid. The restaurant offered a solid set of choices for the evening meal. Treat yourself to a spa on premise, the pool or even the suite, we did and enjoyed all our time there.

River hotel

Nice hotel located next to the river in a peaceful area away from downtown. We really enjoyed renting their bikes for $1 a day and riding along the river to downtown which is about a 10 minute ride. We ate at a couple of restaurants close to the hotel along the river which were really good. Also we enjoyed getting a drink from a lady who has a small drink stand along the river as well as refreshing with a tasty pineapple. Waking up to the river views and the boats from the balcony was nice.

Amazing service. New hotel. A little far from the city centre of Hoi An, but they provide free shuttle service and bicycles for rent. Also, it is very easy to take a Grab car to and from the hotel. Free and delicious breakfast, swimming pool, they booked tours for us. Also, they found out it was my birthday and even gave me a free birthday cake on the day of my birthday and sang Happy Birthday to me! All the staff were extremely friendly and one of the best service levels I have ever experienced! Overall, an amazing stay, very comfortable, felt like home, and best value for money. Would definitely book again without hesitation! A+++

Great hotel, glad we picked this one!

The staff really did make our stay, they’re all so very friendly and helpful.
The room was large and although new, the design was in good keeping to the area. We chose a riverview room and the bed was HUGE and all extremely clean.
The breakfast was great (had some of the best noodle soup breakfasts!) and happy hour cocktails were spot on.
We didn’t use the hotel laundry service but took it to the shop next door who cleaned and pressed it all for £1 per kg.
The free hotel shuttle to the beach and night market came in handy too!
Would definitely stop again.

Truly Amazing Staff. Very Average Hotel.

This is a nice hotel and I'd give it 3.5 stars, as it officially has.

Disclosure: We weren't the biggest fans of Hoi An compared to other places in the north. So my review may be influenced by this.

The PRO's-
Each and every hotel staff member were absolutely incredible. We stayed 5 nights in a lantana suite, 5th floor with river views and the largest bathtub I've ever seen. Huge clean and comfy room, nice view, in a quiet, safe feeling area. The hotel offers a great complimentary shuttle service to a private beach next to An Bang beach (highly recommend) and also shuttles to centre of Hoi An, which is about a 15 min easy walk away. This was awesome.

CONs-
Althought the hotel staff catered to my room request for a bathtub, the hot water didn't last long enough to fill it more than 7 inch high. I had to boil the kettle a ton if I wanted a hot bath. I tried multiple days.
Breakfast was was cold, eg the dim sum, shrimp pancakes and by 8.30am, the bacon was cold. I stuck to the fruit and the Vietnamese salads to avoid eating the meat that had gone cold. Pastries were dry by the time we got to them. The hot tea was so weak it tasted like hot water.
The gym equipment wasn't good. The one treadmill someone kindly got working for me made the most terrible sound when I ran on it. The other one was fully broken.
In general this hotel was okay. But I would not here again if I was back in Hoi An. Im sure there are better options around for the price.

New hotel on the river with cafes nearby

This hotel is 20 minutes walk from Hoi An old town, the hotel provide a bus shuttle service approximately every 2 hours in the daytime to the edge of the old town and the beach. The rooms are average size, well equipped and bright with new fittings. The hotel is new and the only criticism is that the soundproofing leaves something to be desired. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and we only had breakfast, which was excellent.

Best hotel staff in Hoi An

A wonderful new hotel a little out from the town but easily accessible with a bicycle or taxi both about 1$ each.

Rooms are clean and with great views along the river. Noise is not an issue. Pool is nice with a small gym enough for daily exercise.

We did a cooking class with the wonderful Laura and kitchen chef. The spa was also a delight and pretty good value.

However it is the staff that shine brightest. From the porter, reception staff and those in the kitchen, every effort was made to make our stay as easy as possible.
