I think the DOM needs a little bit of an update, the rooms look like they are getting some real wear and tear unfortunately. In addition the bar is not staffed and the lighting is really bright and uncomfortable. There was a American guest who was loudly on Zoom calls multiple evenings which wasn't courteous and rude to all the other guests. I am sure it was great for him to have the entire bar to himself to have his work calls but I think the staff should have said something to him as it was extremely discourteous and rude.

Hotel offers so much but gets let down by small things. Location is brilliant….

Staff are ok but lacking common sense. Roof top bar is ‘ok’ view is nothing special.

Room was ok - opted for a suite but in reality it’s not really anything more than an extra corridor - certainly not a space that could be used

Also, hotel was noisey with staff trolleys etc, different things in room were broken /
Not working.

Location makes up for a lot, the area is brilliant - but hotel (is a little bit of a let down)

This place is gorgeous! Super elegant on every front from the bar to the restaurant to the rooms. Every detail is thought through from the products in the rooms to the fluffy robes and various pillow selections. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful. It really over delivered. I am in Rome all the time. I usually stay at Bulgari or St Regis. This time I was traveling with the extended family and decided to be closer to the tourist attractions. I booked few rooms. Certainly this is not a five star hotel. I’d give it a solid four star boutique hotel. Clean, decent location. Unable to get to the hotel due to the construction across the street. I had to walk with a suitcases for a block. Rooms were very dark and cold like grotto, quite disturbing. Most disappointing was the food. I am yet to find a hotel in Italy with terrible service and the food. I found DOM. I wasn’t able to feed my 82 year old mother-in-law and my teenage son in the hotel. Restaurant had 10 people capacity and waiter managed to be missing all the time. There was absolutely no breakfast choices. I couldn’t believe s they had to offer was cereal and yogurt. Eggs came cold with the repugnant toast combined with the waiters attitude and the bill for $200. I am more than willing to spend double if I get the proper food, service.
Very dissatisfied. Will never return and for the price tag and the quality I’d say you could do better as well. Average at best.

Nice hotel in a quiet and quaint Rome neighbourhood. If you can, book the junior suite or up as the rooms are bigger. The hotel in general could use some TLC (update on paint etc.) but the staff are great and very helpful. The breakfast is the only part that was a bit weird and could be done different and better.

During our stay in Rome, the ideal place for us was DOM hotel. Our accommodation was a three-person junior suite, which was remarkably pleasant as it consisted of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an uncommon feature in Europe. The breakfast served was also exceptionally delightful, with a homemade and fresh taste.

This hotel did not feel like a 5 star hotel , it felt more like 3 stars . It’s needs a major update and refresh . If you are someone who likes to unwind in your hotel bar and restaurant after a long day of walking and sight seeing , this hotel is not for you ! There is a small bar with no music and a bartender who might be there . If you are jet lagged and can’t sleep and want to watch tv , there is only local basic cable . So your only option is cnn or bbc news , unless you understand Italian . I could go on , but those were the most disappointing ! We definitely won’t stay here again or recommend the dom hotel Rome .

Hotel was beautiful. We stayed in the Dom Suite on the top floor, highly recommend! Two floors with walk in closet. The balcony was spacious, seating for about 10 people, with the bell tower was phenomenal. The bell only rings at about 6pm, so it doesn't wake you up. The building across the street has armed guards outside at all times (driver said it was like Italian FBI) so the area is very safe. Also very quiet. Great walking distance (15-30 min walk) to attractions while being far enough away from tourists. Our only issue was the wifi signal was very weak, and did not reach the balcony at all. Maybe because it is stationed on the 1st floor? The bed was super comfortable and the employees were so helpful! They made reservations for dinner for us, organized a driver, called taxis. We loved this place and loved calling it home while we were in Rome! Very highly recommend!

Excellent Hotel. Every member of the staff was polite, helpful, quick, etc. Good location, good A/C, modern interiors. We didn't use the bar/restaurant/rooftop, but they look really good. The last night, they came in our room and replaced the towels and freshened up the room, knowing that we would be leaving early in the morning. Based on some other properties, I think this is an excellent value for a luxury hotel.

Beautiful property! The decor of this hotel is breathtaking. The staff is wonderful. The room was the nicest room we stayed at in Rome. We had the nicest bathroom. The hotel is a 17th century palace and has about 18 rooms (I think). Which gives you plenty of privacy. The ambience is wonderful! This is among the most elegant hotels I have been to in Rome. I highly recommend!

Lovely restored building, but the rooms are tiny and badly designed. The shower was tiny and irregularly shaped. Parts were repairs, but not painted. There's not enough storage, no place to put a laptop, not enough electrical outlets to charge phones and keep the lights on. The room had mold from a prior leak, the closet doors creaked, there were not enough hangers, much too small for the price. No movies on the TV, only news or foreign chanels. Very, very noisy from the cop station right across the street. At all hours they are shouting and their cars are coming and going. Never again!

This is not a 5 star by any stretch. Nothing fancy luxurious or opulent about the property. Dark dimly lit spaces and rooms. Awful bedding. Didn’t get any sleep at all. Next to a weird govt office building with guards chatting all day long. No coffee machine in the room. The doors are flimsy. Can be opened by a kid by just banging on it. No usb port for charging phone. No air conditioning in April. Indifferent staff. Tiny cramped bathrooms. Dirty bedding. Old raggedy wool throw on the bed that looks like it’s been used for years. No automatic switch for turning lights off from the bed. You have to walk to each lamp and unplug for the night.

The service was absolutely great. It’s an amazing building that’s been both amazingly preserved and well upgraded. We got to checkout a few of the rooms and each one was different, there are a number of beautiful rooms with unique features, some more spacious than others (some are enormous, particularly by European standards) - we had a room with a great bathtub, which was really nice (great Acqua di Parma shower products/bath salts in the room). Service was amazing, they hung our clothes (sweats/pajamas) on the towel warmers every night so that they were warm for us when we got back to the room, which was thoughtful and amazing! For a smaller boutique hotel with limited staff, you would never know it. The restaurant is a little strange/quiet but the eggs & French Toast were great and room service was fast. The staff helped make any arrangements that we needed, including navigating covid restrictions/testing and always had extra individually wrapped masks available to take on your way in/out of the hotel. It’s a great location, easily walkable to most parts of the city, and they were also great about arranging cars - we rented a Vespa a few blocks away and there was plenty of parking right outside the hotel. There is a nice rooftop that has food service during warmer months but is open to sit with a drink (probably for smokers as well, although I didn’t see anyone smoking while we were there). No complaints at all (which says a lot). Can't recommend it enough!!

Beautiful hotel with really central location, situated just a couple of hundred meters from the Vatican. Our room was very nice and felt luxurious. Windows overlooked an alley, but the hotel has a rooftop bar for sunny days. It's a slightly pricy hotel so you're certainly paying a bunch for the location, but depending on what you are looking to do in Rome, it might certainly be worth it.

We loved the DOM Hotel! As others have said, it's in a great location and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful! We had a great conversation with Emmanuel, the sommelier, one evening on the Rooftop Bar. The design of the hotel is very chic but also comfortable and cool. We didn't have a chance to eat at the onsite restaurant, Verve, but we heard from a local that they have a new chef and its supposed to be very good.

The hotel property was nice. The checkin and checkout went well. We had two problems with the staff. When we checked in , we asked the desk clerk to arrange a taxi to the airport for the next morning. When we came down the next morning, this had not been done. Also, the continental breakfast offered by the hotel was very nice. However, the waitress ignored us. After 10 minutes in an almost empty dining room , I had to call her over to our table to ask for coffee.

This hotel is GORGEOUS! We were visiting the Vatican and Colosseum, and it is located in between. In a very safe area where all the consulates and embassy are. The hotel is right across from antimafia government office so you know you’re protected. Their room is nice and clean. Very well decorated. They even have a mobile phone in the room for you to take with you when you’re out and about to make call or search for restaurant. Aqua de Pama toiletries. Love this hotel. Turn up the lights!!

The hotel is a gem. Great location, very private and very quiet. The rooftop bar is fabulous in the evening. If you are planning to be in your room for any amount of time, however, don’t plan on reading. Rooms are very dark. And the lighting is inadequate for reading. I also had a terrible time with their tv remote and had to have someone come to the room twice in 36 hours. It’s ridiculously complicated when such a thing doesn’t have to be. Get better lighting and I’ll be back! I will also highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t plan to stay in their room much, although the price is quite high for just a place to sleep!

This hotel is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! The rooms are so beautiful. The bed was very comfortable with a nice down comforter. The bathroom was enormous with a seating area and separate toilets. The staff was so helpful and generous. It was within walking distance to Vatican City and all the major tourist attractions. Very quiet for such a bustling town. They go above and beyond at this hotel. The restaurant just had its grand opening while we were staying there and it was a real who’s who of the local socialites and the breakfast was PERFECT. While it was a boutique hotel and we aren’t quite that fancy we loved the simplicity of our stay and got around by foot everywhere. If you’re staying in Rome THIS is the place!!! You get far more than what you pay for.

The hotel was centrally located, just a block off the Tiber, 5 minute walk to the Vatican, and 5 minute walk to the Campo de Fiori, where there were a ton of restaurants, bars, and a little supermarket - the square became our go-to place for everything we wanted nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned daily and everything was modern. The hotel as a whole felt like it was our own private apartment building. WiFi was fast and free, it had satellite TV in many languages (although we didn't watch much - so much to do), continental breakfast was free and delicious (hot egg dishes cost extra, but we were more than satisfied with the variety of foods offered gratis). It was too cold to enjoy the roof deck while we were there but I bet it's a real treat when the bar is open. I would highly recommend the D.O.M to any friends or family thinking of visiting Rome.

It’s so loud...so much happening outside the window of our room constantly. There is a major government center in front of the hotel and guards talk allllllllll night and birds squawk constantly. It was hard to get peaceful rest. But the hotel otherwise is great.

They provided so many thoughtful touches which made you us very pampered - Aqua di Parma products were to be found in the bathroom which also had the biggest shower head I’ve ever seen! My husband was even provided with a complimentary bottle of prosecco for his birthday in addition to the welcome cocktails we had already received upon arrival.

The ‘Per Me’ restaurant around the corner is an absolute treat too.

We would happily return to the D.O.M hotel if we were to make a return trip to Rome.

The location of the hotel is close to perfect: right in the center of things, in short walking distance to all main attractions. Of note is that the hotel is within the \"ZTL\" - a limited traffic zone that's forbidden for non-residents to drive into most of the time. However, there's a parking garage within 1 minute of the hotel that can be accessed without driving into the ZTL.

The staff gave us some great advice for local restaurants. I suggest to make use of that. They were also helpful making reservations for us as we don't speak Italian. Having said that, it was easy for us get around using English only.

Love this hotel, the service was amazing.

I was dropping my daughter off at the American university. I stayed at the DOM for 5 nights. The rooms were clean.i read the reviews before we left and was concerned about the air conditioner not working well. I was traveling in August and Rome was very hot. I thought the air conditioning worked fine. The breakfast was fresh and the service was amazing. Loved my double expresso every morning. Every night I would ask the concierge their recommendations for dining. Every single one was perfect! Right on point. I enjoyed my Stay and will come again:

This small boutique hotel is awesome. The staff; Georgiana, Daisy, Julio and Melchiorre were all fantastic! We have stayed here the last four times we have been in Rome and will continue to have it our home away from home.
