The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. This property is in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance to all of the sights in Rome. It is very close to Piazza Navona, our favorite Piazza in the city. Shopping and great restaurants were all around.

First off, the rooms are small and don’t look like the photos at all, at least not our rooms.

That being said, if you’re like us and use your room to keep your things, sleep and shower then I would highly recommend this place.

Beatrice was very nice and communicative. Our place was next to an amazing plaza with tons of amazing food places to eat and a morning farmer’s market.

The chocolate/ Croissant place just outside our place was amazing.

Location wise , this place was perfect. In walking distance to the Pantheon, The Vatican, and the Piazza Navona and not far from everything else. We were able to walk everywhere. This is the best part of this place.

Overall I would recommend this place if you’re looking to get the best experience while in Rome.

FYI- be prepared to pay €5 per person per night for the city tax. This is over and above the room rate usually paid in cash.

Forst of all this property is a very very old and the management did not spent any money to keep up. Example, bathroom is terrible, shower head and faucets are terrible. Toilet is weirdly located where a petite person cannot sit and forget about a big build person.
Beds are the worst, old spring mattress and looks like the sheets are from 18th century.
This place could definitely use some room fresheners.

Wonderful apartment for our family of 4 in a great location. Plenty of delicious restaurants and cafes within 100m from the door, easy walk to a huge number of sites and attractions. Got a bit noisy outside on Sat night, but we always travel with earplugs anyway :) Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at Bollo Apartments. The size of the room was great, We had two young children and having the upstairs and downstairs was very convenient.

We didn’t really see many staff- as the hotel is most unstaffed at reception, but we were lucky and were able to drop our luggage off before check-in.

There is a very convenient and helpful bag storage shop just around the corner, If you need arrive before you check in, or plan leave Rome after your checkout and don’t know what to do with your bags.

The only downside for us was that the children need to be really closely monitored to use the bathroom, It is up the stairs and the staircase is quite unsafe or small feet.

Great location! Staff was easy to deal with. We arranged a late check in and clear instructions were left for us to get in. Room is small however I think this is normal for the location. This is not a 5 start but We had no issues with plumbing or hot water as seen in previous google reviews. Bed was a little too firm and we should have brought earplugs. Would recommend to stay here as location is excellent and overall was a good experience, fair price.

This hotel is a basic no frills hotel. It is not a “hang out in the hotel” type or hotel. Room is clean but not fancy. It is 30 minute walk to Vatican, Coliseum, Trevi and Pantheon. I would stay there again. The shower was amazing

Very unique and worked out very well for our day in Rome.
The 'double' or queen beds were just to small mattresses pushed together.
It was not ideal for my wife and I but was satisfactory.
Or room had a kitchen, but it there were not many dishes.
It was ok for short stay, and we didn't even use any of the dishes or cooking equpment.
But if for longer stay with family expecting to cook meals it was probably not enough.

This was my second time staying in Bollo Apartments, last time I stayed here was 7 years ago and my memory of the place was so extremly fond, I went out of my way to stay there again this time around. It did not disappoint!

The location is fantastic, all the main tourist sites are within walking distance. The nearby piazza hosted a wonderful market full of local foods and other produce and was a great spot for an early evening pre dinner drink, great atmosphere.

The apartment itself was quaint and extremely clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend staying here and look forward to another return visit in the future!

Very nice apartment located perfectly in a central location in Rome, near Campo di'Fiori and Piazza Navona. It is hard to find accomodations to fit five people that are reasonably priced and centrally located in Rome and this was perfect. It was spacious and had a small kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Great location— walking distance to all of the main sites. Place itself was fine with everything that we needed (except coffee!). Staff was very friendly and helpful and quick to arrange things via email. They were not there on site at most times. There was a great cafe down the street for coffee and pastries too.

Great location and quick service. Non of the pics from website is the pics of the room. it is small room. There is no sun light in the room. Windows open in to a dark and dirty shaft. Bathroom very tiny, no toilet paper. Shower had empty wrappers after soap. Coffee express full of used coffee, and coffee grinds all over shelving. Room has a safe but no instruction how to set a code. Tv had couple channels most of which were infomercials.

Fantastic Stay in Rome (AAA Service and location)

The stay was fantastic. The front desk guys were always incredibly friendly and helpful. I don't think I could have stayed at a better place in Rome. Location was prime. Location aside, I'd stay again purely on the friendliness and helpfulness that was received from the folks at the front desk.

The pictures posted on the website were very misleading. The amenities were not accurate, no breakfast, air conditioning or temperature control. The was not adequate space for three travelers and the luggage as we had to live out of our suitcase with no dresser to put clothes away in. At night we could not sleep with the windows open as it sounded as if people were directly below us every night, all hours of the night, talking/yelling, and keeping the windows closed did little to help with the noise. The only thing we like about staying here was the location and very friendly staff.

Perfect Location!

The Bollo Apartments is a couple of minutes from Campo di Fiori. It is a few minutes from amazing restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores. It is minutes from bus stops that will bring you to all of the landmarks. The hotel is off of the main street, which means there is minimal noise. The staff is friendly and helpful! The room we had was clean--we even had a balcony! Unlike other apartments, this hotel has a lift. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location just next to campo di fiori. We were in the pelegrino location. We had the big apartment with two rooms private kitchen and living room, excellent for us (5 people). Family friendly, only con it does not have elevator just to keep in mind. No problem for us and we traveled with two kids. Walk distance almost any where. Clean, good customer service and lots of space. Windows to pelegrino street. Nice views. Housekeeping every other day.

Run down property great location.

Had a great time in Rome and the property was in a good central location. Property was not well maintained or updated... stained, cracked counters, dirty dishes, dated finishings, etc. Have stayed in many hotel apts... this was least desirable.

Be aware!

We arrived in Rome all excited ready to see the city and we checked in. The man in the front desk walked us a couple of blocks down from the address of the hotel and gave us a room which was a converted garage. The room had no AC (July), no curtains, dirty, unsafe, and many more things that were wrong. After about an hour of arguing with (Augusto) the front desk man and a 40 minute long distance call to Expedia, Augusto gave us the room that Expedia showed us in the web site. The hotel blamed Expedia. I don't know if Expedia is aware of this room that they try to push.
PS. The hotel is an great location.

The apartment is centrally located and very convenient for touring room. Unfortunately I complained multiple times to the staff about a terrible smell in my room (it smelled as though a rodent died in the walls), and to further complicate matters the fact that the WiFi did not work. The staff does not stay on the premises and got back to me after 12 hours. Then they claimed they solved both problems I informed them that unfortunately the smell in the room and the WiFi were still an issue, the staff simply never responded to me.

I would never stay at this location again, and I am very disappointed this hotel was recommended by expedia.

The receptionist was very welcoming when we arrived. He showed us all the important things on a small map. Lots is in walkable distance. We had a room with the shared kitchen which is very useful for us. The room itself is very small so if you are on a long trip with lots of luggage this place isn't for you. Anyway, we loved it.

Rome living within blocks of Campo de Fiori.

We felt like Romans in our own little apartment. It was clean, spacious and had a kitchen. We had planned to eat breakfast in, ended up only using the refrigerator since the Campo de Fiori (where we could get anything from fresh fruit to a full breakfast) was just a couple blocks away. Maid service was every other day, which was sufficient. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location. Helpful and friendly reception staff. Clean room. Zero sound insulation - can hear every conversation outside in the street as if they are right in the room, impossible to sleep. A/c blows directly onto the bed. Shower cord leaking, very little water actually comes out of the showerhead, most leaks out. Wifi did not work in the room, had to come out and sit in the hallway.

Location was good, room was clean. The check in process was a bit slow if you arrive at the same time with other guests. There was only 1 person at the desk. A bit warm in the room at the beginning but got a little better after a while. Wi-fi in the room was very slow. Overall, it was good for the price.

We spent three lovely nights in Rome at Bollo Apartments. Augusto was there to greet us, and he was very helpful and friendly. Our room was very big and open, with a kitchen. It was on the ground floor with a window at the street, so it could get loud. All in all, we had a great experience and the location was fantastic!

They helped us book a transport from the airport which reduced stress, checked us in and collected the city tax and gave us the key and we never saw them again really. This was totally fine and as advertised on Expedia. The room was great and as expected except the shower head was broken.

Great find in downtown Rome

This hotel is wishing walking distance of everything, the Vatican, the pantheon, the colloseum, as long as you are willing to walk for half an hour or so. Our room was small, but spacious enough for the two of us and our luggage. The private bath was in good condition, and had a shower you could close to keep the bathroom floor dry. It was also nice to have a shared kitchen area, so we could put some breakfast items in the fridge. We didn't cook, but the other couple that shared our kitchen did. Very nice! Highly recommended. They don't staff their front desk 24- hours a day, so we had to arrange our arrival time with the hotel staff, but they corresponded with us in English, no problem.

Great little apartment in the heart of Rome

Apartment was lively, clean and well looked after. Rooms are a nice size, good bathroom and comfy beds. We visited with our 8 month old baby boy and he loved it too.

Only slight annoyance was there was no Microwave in the kitchen and a lack of kitchen utensils and things to cook with... Not even a saucepan..

Was a cute, likely very authentic place. We stayed our first night in a very spacious apartment due to a scheduling issue with another guest. That was fine but our move was to a much smaller environment. It was ok, except the bathroom was extremely small and somewhat dated. Could use some cleanup around the very tiny shower. The hotel staff was fabulous and very advocating. WiFi was extremely weak.

They are very kind and very helpful with everything that we requested or asked.
The place is very nice, clean and inviting.
It is close to the center (pantheon, piazza navona etc..) and in walking distance for all other main locations.

BAD PLACE - A real Vacation Disaster.

Got to this hotel and refused to walk any further inside after seeing the rooms they had for us. NOT at all as portrayed in the photos...not even close to what we saw on the website. A real sham. Ruined our entire stay in Rome as we had to find a place last minute in Rome on a Saturday night. Oh, did I share the rooms have no windows, are dirty, and they smell - and apparently there are two Bollo Apartments - maybe the photos are of the other place? DO NOT GO HERE...go anywhere...but not here.

Hotel very close to Campo Di Fiori

Our family of four stayed here for 2 nights. We wished we could stay longer! It was a great location. The room was clean and comfortable. A little small for 4, but bigger than we were led to expect in Rome. The manager was extremely helpful before and after we arrived. Great email communicator. Gave us maps and directions. We were able to walk everywhere (Vatican, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc) in less than 25 minutes. The Campo Di Fiori was around the corner and down a cobblestone alley. Good food, entertainment and market less than 50 yards away. We especially loved the walk from the Spanish Steps, past the Trevi Fountain (under reconstruction), Pantheon to the Plaza Navona and then to Campo Di Fiori through the lit up alleyways lined with restaurants, shops and street entertainment. Could have done with out all of the people selling selfie sticks and rubber band toys. Appreciated the fact that 99% of them did NOT approach our children and try to sell them the toys. We had wonderful food and a great time. A special thank you to the waiter at the Grom gelato cafe who helped us with our rental car. We will be forever grateful!

CONS: The 'FAMILY ROOM' shown on line is not anything like the room we were given. Our room was a dark cave on the ground level. The 'kitchen' had 3 teacups and 4 glasses, plus some mismatched silverware. No soap to wash the dishes. Oven had not been cleaned; it had crumbs and other food remnants in it. The A/C, while adequate to cool the space a little, was a portable unit, venting into the breezeway (HOT!).

The location is great. Antonio is very pleasant. As we have our 74-year-old father and two children, we asked Antonio to arrange the vans for airport pick up and sending us to the port for cruise. Walking distance to Pantheon and Colosseum. Convenient bus to St Angel bridge, then walking to St Peter Basilica and Vatican Museum. Walking distance to Trastevere area that is at the other side of Tiber river. There are so many restaurants at very good prices in this area. Sitting at Navona Piazza just outside the hotel in late evening having some food and wine is very enjoyable.

Loved it!!

So upon our arrival to Rome, Antonio had a car service waiting for us who took us directly to the hotel office. It was 9:00AM and Antonio was able to maneuver things so that we could get into our room within half an hour! He was very helpful with directions and suggestions. Our room slept five and was quite large (although a tad dark because of limited windows) with a small kitchen and a HUGE \"Roman bath\" type bathroom. While we never used the kitchen it was nice to have the option. The air conditioning was a little rough but there was a fan to aid in circulation. The room was very charming with lots of character - a genuine Roman room! The location of the room was absolutely PERFECT! Nothing seemed more than a 10 minute walk away - we did not use public transportation once and only because we didn't need to. The room was close to an always busy square but we were far enough removed that noise was not an issue. I can not stress the location enough - if we return I will definitely stay here again!!

A disappointment.

The air conditioning didn't work at all most of the time when it did there way no way to set to comfortable temperature as it still didn't work correctly. The check in staff seemed initially helpful until I complained about the lack of an iron \"you should have requested this\", then the air conditioning broke \" these things happens\". The only good thing was the location but I dreaded going back to the room each day. The shower was not I the bathroom but up a small flight of stairs which opened into the room , which makes things awkward when sharing with your mother. I'm not overly fussy but I do have standards and this room came no where close. There was so much more wrong with the room but these are the main things.

Small apartment with a private terrace

Located near the Campo de' Fiori, compact room with excellent air conditioning! Shared kitchen was convenient, and private terrace nice for evening wine and morning coffee. Shower pressure outstanding.

Convenient and Comfy. Old building, but it's Rome

Great location off Campo de Fiori. Taxis, Supermarket nearby. Old building but modern by Roman standards. Retro-fitted bathrooms are a squeeze

Very convinient location. The disadvantage of the hotel was its noise level. Especially when someone enter or leave the front door, you hear it directly in your room. Helpfull staff.

GREAT STAY at Bollo Apartments

The Bollo apartments was a GREAT BARGAIN. We were a group of 5 who shared a 2nd floor apartment, with 2 rooms, 2 baths and kitchen. Very clean, nicely appointed rooms. Antonio was fabulous. Very welcoming and willing to help us in any way. Gave us great restaurant recommendations in the Campo De'Fiori area. I highly recommend this place for a bargain price in ROME.
