Le Suite Del Barone is a stellar boutique hotel in the heart of Rome. Like staying in a chic, historic apartment with amenities, service, and breakfast. Piazza Navona, The Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, all easily walkable and the Vatican as well. Rachelle was lovely and very helpful. I look forward to staying here again.

Staff was amazing! Communicative in advance of our stay and helped arrange a convenient transfer to the airport.

The place is SO conveniently located. We walked to St. Peter’s Basilica, the Pantheon, the Colleseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps.

Had the BEST carbonara and bolognese right across the street.

We got engaged during our stay and will forever hold this place special in our hearts. Thank you!

My stay at Le Suite del Barone was very disappointing and concerning.

The listing is extremely misleading. The photos make the place appear like a luxury suite, but in reality, it’s an old apartment building that you have to walk into to get to your room. It is not a hotel or true “suite” as advertised. Once inside, the condition of the property was far below expectations. There was visible dust throughout the building — you could actually see it in the air — and the ceiling had clear signs of water damage and mold. The floors were uneven and broken in places, making it feel unsafe to walk on. The light switch was broken, and I even injured my finger when it got stuck.

During our stay, both my partner and I became sick every time we were in the room, but our symptoms noticeably improved once we left the property — which strongly suggests that the environment itself was affecting our health.

After our stay, I reached out to the owner to express my concerns and request fair compensation. Instead of showing any concern or professionalism, she dismissed my message and claimed that I “seemed happy and healthy” during the stay. She also told me that if I felt uncomfortable, I should have left and found another place, ignoring how difficult it can be to confront a host in person or relocate last-minute while traveling abroad.

We only had 1 night in Rome and this was perfect spot. Close to train and airport and walking distance to everything you would want to see in one day. Room was clean, bed comfy and complimentary breakfast helped get us on our way. We were greeted by the host and she was friendly and efficient. Definitely would stay again.

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming entry way… if you want to live like a local while in Rome, this is it. Paola was excellent at communicating with us to have our room ready even a few hours early, spacious bright clean room with a balcony, breakfast included was so lovely. Great ac for Europe as it was still hot. Walkable, helpful tips, and arrangements for taxis when asked, Nice shower lots of hot water and toiletries available to you, great area - the bathroom door is glass so you kinda got to be comfortable with your roommate hearing you if they are in the room but this also seems to be the going style. But really such a great room/spot for the price. And as an added bonus, just across the street is Il Corallo posters… GREAT eatery, so close and we even saw Ming Tsai celebrity chef eating there our last night- what more recommendation could we give?!

I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t have been better – just steps away from plenty of great restaurants, bars, and nightlife, which made it easy to enjoy the city without worrying about long commutes or rideshares. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel itself felt calm and comfortable, giving me the best of both worlds.
The room was clean, modern, and well-kept, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with recommendations or directions. I especially appreciated how easy check-in and check-out were – smooth and stress-free.
If you’re looking for a spot that combines convenience, comfort, and access to plenty of dining and entertainment, this hotel is a perfect choice. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Location = Perfectly central to ‘main tourist’ sights and other ‘lesser-known’, as well as countless amazing restaurants in every direction.

To/From = Extremely efficient taxi service booked via the reception. The drivers WhatsApp you (with display pictures) hours before pick-up.. this is perfect for safety, and professionalism.
At the hotel.. 4 flights of stairs (sounds scarier than it actually is) OR use of a 2-man lift (with one small case each).

Staff = Efficient, friendly, helpful, thoughtful, presentable.. also WhatsApp you days before your arrival with Introduction/Greetings and instructions. Breakfast delivered to your room (upon requested time and order).

Room (101) = Open plan modern rooms have beautiful ceilings true to the history of Rome architecture, with a spacious bathroom built insert (shower, toilet, bidet, basin, and essentials provided!) semi-long (but narrow) Balcony with stunning view of the rooftops.

This hotel was in a great location and very close to lots of restaurants. The breakfast service was great and was brought at the time we requested. We were able to walk to many attractions. The only time we took a taxi was to the Colosseum, mostly due to the heat. We were happy we paid for the airport transportation service because it made arriving at the hotel much smoother. Would highly recommend this hotel!

This is a good place to stay but the elevator/stairs situation is a little cumbersome with a lot of luggage. They definitely give you special attention and you feel as though you’re their only guests. They had our room ready early and held our bags the last day of our stay. Breakfast is a nice touch.

We had an excellent stay the Le Suite Del Barone. Because of a flight delay we arrived a bit later than expected, but the folks there were super responsive and helpful. The location is super. Minutes from Piazza Navona/Pantheon one way and the Tiber the other. They also have very nice recommendations for places to eat and Rome guide books in the rooms. FYI, it can be a little loud in the room if you are on the street side and have the windows open, but only because it is on a vibrant street, and it is mostly diners and walkers that you hear--which we didn't mind at all. The breakfast was also just right. We really recommend Le Suite Del Barone strongly.

In such a great location, walking distance to so many restaurants and a great shopping street. Bed was very clean and comfortable, Internet access was very easy. The lobby area was always so hot during my stay, but wasn’t bothersome since you don’t spend much time there. And the AC in the rooms worked perfectly so it was fine. My only bother was that I stayed for a week and they basically made me leave my room one day before 12pm so they could clean the room, which I didn’t request for that day and it was the day before I was checking out anyway. But that was a small bother. I very much enjoyed my stay and would stay again. The breakfast delivery every morning at the time of your choice was FABULOUS and all of the staff were so nice, especially Paola!!! Love her.

Such a cool stay. In a really good area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Really recommend the local salumeria too! We stayed in the smallest room in the property but plenty of room for the two of us for a week. Loved the breakfast. You pick the night before the time you would like it delivered to the room and what you want. So nice before long and busy days. If you arrive after the reception time, they make it very easy. The only note which was not a problem for us, there are 3 steps to get into the elevator both at the ground level and at the level of the suites. But many of these older buildings are like this and Rome isn’t super accessible as a city. Did not bother us and not the hotels fault as it is a communal building. Very very quiet rooms!

This is a great place to stay if you plan on visiting Rome. My wife and I were in Rome two days before a cruise. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. We had plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from. The small staff was very helpful. The room was very clean. It’s not a big hotel so you won’t have some amenities you can expect at a large hotel, but we didn’t care. We had a nice, clean room, walkable to all major sites, we had all we needed. The only place that wasn’t walkable was Rome Termini to catch a train to the port. The good news is there’s a taxi stand within a block from the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

Our room had a lovely little terrace overlooking beautiful scenery: an authentic side street and local restaurants and charming old buildings and roof tops. One minor consideration is that the bathroom had a glass door and lacking privacy to room guests.

Great location for walking to dining and historical sites. The staff were all very welcoming, efficient and polite. The property was very clean and the room was spacious and and comfortable. The included breakfast was also good. We enjoyed the terrace off our room. The property is a bit quirky as it is just 6 rooms and a small reception desk on the fourth floor of an old residential building. The owner did a very nice job converting the space into comfortable rooms and modern bathrooms. The bathrooms are a little different as they have an open ceiling into the bedroom and glass window to the room from the shower, with a blind. Overall not quite as private as we are used to. But the bathrooms were modern, spacious and clean. Note the elevator is slow and small. Also the desk is only staffed until 2:00PM. All things considered we found the room to be very comfortable and a good value. We would stay again.

I'm a stickler about where we stay when we travel and I read and researched extensively before picking Le Suite Del Barone. The facility and staff didn't disappoint and everything was wonderful from start to finish. The staff was very helpful, professional, accommodating, and we enjoyed our time with them. The home cooked breakfast was a wonderful touch and the location of this stay is perfect. It felt a little tucked away and difficult to find, but once we did we appreciated the location and the discreteness of the property. If you're in doubt about where to stay, search no more. Le Suite del Barone is magnificent!

Our first time in Rome, we only had 2 night and 2 days so had a lot to fit in!
With only a short time, location was the most important thing to us to ensure we didn't waste any time - this Hotel's location was PERFECT! So close to everything, with lush restaurants /gelato / bars just outside, walking distance to all areas and sites. We wanted to stay in Travestere, however it was out of budget, when visiting both, we MUCH preferred this area, much less touristy, but still as pretty! We managed to tick off our food and site list with time for afternoon naps!
The room was the most basic room, no balcony, and it was extremely roomy, luxe feeling, and beautiful wood ceilings, with large windows overlooking Italian rooftops... for the price; this is a find of a place! Would happily stay in a room like this for a week+ without feeling penned in! Highly recommend for a mid range budget :)

Lots of great things to say. First and foremost the Customer Service was second to none. The breakfast system (placing your order on a card the night before and it being delivered to your room) was very efficient and then allowed you to enjoy breakfast in the comfort of your own wonderful room. The room was spacious , really well laid out with excellent amenities (shower, coffee machine, comfy bed, huge windows, table and seating area). You are in the heart of Rome which means the view from your window whilst you eat your breakfast in beautiful. Being of the 4th floor, you also could not hear anyone at night even though the area is bustling every evening.

This was a neat place to stay, but I was led to believe it was a hotel, not a type of Air B&B. Staff was very kind and bed was extremely comfortable with the exception of a good blanket. Overall nice place to stay

The room and the balcony were very nice! Having breakfast delivered to our room daily was a lovely touch. The staff were so kind and helpful! The only negative would be the building itself. It is a private condo building with no lobby like a regular hotel. It is difficult to find the door as there is no sign. Also, the property is on the fourth floor up concrete stairs and a very small old-fashioned elevator. Overall, the location is great and the little touches made this a pleasurable stay!

Great staff & location, not so great room/building

The best part about this hotel is definitely the staff & location. Easy walk to the Trevi, Pantheon, restaurants, etc. The staff was incredibly helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good and delivered perfectly on time per our request. The hotel is located 4 flights up with a small alley access door. The elevator is a little scary. It’s tiny and barely fit two of us. The room was fine, but the purple throw blanket on the bed was dirty.

We loved our suite with it's fantastic rooftop view of Rome. The daily breakfast was delicious and perfect for starting each day. All of the staff were very kind, welcoming and helpful including assisting with arranging our car services. The location is in the middle of exactly where you want to be in Rome in terms of food and attractions.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Everything was taken care of and considered starting even before our trip started. They booked an airport transfer for us, which picked is up right past baggage claim. The driver even texted me to let me know he was there. Check in was a breeze. Our room was not ready when we checked in, but they let us freshen up in a bathroom, offered us drinks, and let us keep our luggage near the front desk. Once our room was ready, they put it in our room for us. The room was spotless and so nice! Breakfast was so good and convenient. We loved eating it on our balcony. The bed was also extremely comfortable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for anyone who stays in Rome. It is within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. It is also located in such a cute area with lots of good restaurants and shops all around.

A comfortable, secret hideaway in the Centro Storico, steps from Castel Sant'Angelo and Piazza Navonna. Modern, ample rooms (great bathroom) and simple amenities that make the stay relaxing. The tasteful opera-themed scheme put me in the Madama Butterfly room. A nice view, a complementary half- bottle of wine, and climate controls at your fingertips. The reception ladies are friendly and professional.

The most spacious and comfortable room I’ve ever had in rome. The location is excellent, the beds and pillows a dream (this is rare in Italy) and the shower is superb (strange I know but it’s a large shower head and perfect to cool off after a hot day in rome walking). Breakfast was served each day in your room and there is an elevator to take you to the fourth floor. The air con is perfect too. Would stay again for sure.

The best accomodation I’ve ever stayed at in rome. The beds and pillows so comfty. The room spacious. Location and breakfast in our room excellent. The shower in the bathroom was also amazing (especially after a hot day roaming rome). Would totally stay again. The staff were excellent. There was also a lift to take your luggage to level 4 and air con was perfect.
