The host was very kind, room was clean.

The view is non existent. The stairs to get up to the 3rd floor with luggage are a nightmare. The jacuzzi looked nasty. The towels were brown and the apartment smelled like cigarettes. The WiFi hardly worked and would cut in and out every 5 minutes. The shower water never got warm.

Stayed for 3 nights. Great location for walking to local attractions, restaurants and the staff is friendly. The room was very clean, including the bedsheets. Just keep in mind that check-in is on the 3rd floor up a very narrow spiral staircase with not enough space for big luggage.

Amazing location with lots of shopping, restaurants and sites all within walking distance. Room was clean and a good size for our group of two. Bed was incredibly comfortable which is nice after long days of walking.
The host was very good with communication and helped us get our luggage up the stairs upon arrival and then again upon departure.
Would absolutely stay here again.

The location is prime, super walkable with taxi stand 1min down the street. Joseph and Alessandro were super prompt, accomodation and flexible, allowing us to store our luggages before check in and after check out. The room was super clean and has everything you need including a jacuzzi. The only negative is the tight staircase to get to the room so highly encourage not bringing a large check in bags. Would stay here again!

There is an adorable bar next door to the apartment and many eateries right next to it. Piazza Navona is a 2 minute walk with plenty of things to do!

This property totally met our needs. It’s a no frills, but clean and comfortable place to sleep in an area that gives you easy access to all the ancient and wondrous sights of Rome. Beware of the very steep spiral staircase that you’ll need to climb and descend. We were fine, but I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with any mobility issues. The property is right on a beautiful little piazza. It’s a bit noisy at night, but the vibe was great. Staff were helpful and communicative. We had everything we needed.

If you’re looking for an authentic place to stay this property has it. It’s centrally located near all of the Rome tourist sites. Roughly 20 minutes walking to everything in every direction. The place is super clean and the staff is extremely friendly. For a building being as old as it is you wouldn’t know other than it missing an elevator like every other building like it. I would highly recommend staying here. The car service they refer you to is great as well.

Great location easy access to restaurants and shops right downstairs. The team arranging for our stay were helpful. However, because there were several different people contacting us, we were initially confused by the infomation provided regarding pickup at airport and ability to drop off our bags early. The airport pickup went well. With our bag drop, we received conflicting information and our last communication told us to use a Bounce location to drop bags. We would suggest if the team members could identify themselves in communications and their role in the accomodations to avoid confusion. It turned out that we could have dropped our bags at the room early and could have avoided using Bounce. That being, said, the team was very helpful and we would stay there again.

This property is much closer to an Airbnb than a hotel. There are no welcome drinks, no room service, and no hotel-style amenities at all, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly.

The only real positive is the location, which is excellent and very central.

However, the experience overall was disappointing. The photos shown online are clearly of the Premium Room, but if you book the Economy Room, those photos are not representative at all. This feels misleading, as you arrive expecting something similar to what is advertised, but the reality is completely different. The economy room was basic, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the overall quality did not match the price.

Additionally, they charge a €60 city tax, which feels excessive and not well explained.

Be prepared for a lot of noise. The two economy rooms are right next to each other, so you can clearly hear everything your neighbor says. On top of that, cleaning activities take place around midnight or even 1:00 a.m., making it very difficult to rest.

Another important point: there is no elevator. You must climb almost 100 steps to reach the room, with no assistance for luggage and no staff present to help. You are completely on your own.

In summary, aside from the location, there is nothing that justifies the price or the expectations created by the listing. I would not recommend this place unless location is the only thing you care about and you are fully aware that this is not a hotel experience.

This place is in a great location, walking distance to everything we waned to see. The manager Marlon was great! He helped us with our luggage up three floors of spiral staircase. He got us situated and gave us his number if we needed anything. He was very helpful with attending to our need for an extra night and for securing a taxi for airport. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a nice hot tub for soaking after miles of walking. Room had a Neapresso maker, water and light snacks.

Location is right on Piazza Pasquino am is the absolute best in Rome being central to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Forum, Colosseum and a short walk to the Pantheon. Restaurants steps from the door with a vibrant night life… Marlon was an our attendant and was informed, friendly and absolutely supportive of every request, need, and assistance. I will absolutely stay here again and recommend for friends looking for all the above on a budget experience…

Fantastic location for walking about the streets for shopping or food - there’s plenty around. The room was spacious and comfortable as well. Marlon was very friendly and helpful, and very kindly assisted us in getting our suitcases up the narrow spiral staircase.

One thing to note is the walls are VERY thin. We could fully hear the conversation the guests in the next room were having. Our room looked out over the square below so the music was quite loud in the evening as well, but we didn’t mind.

Location is fantastic. Close to popular sight-seeing, restaurants, and shops. We were greeted by Marlon, who was very kind and communicated with us very well. I contacted the hotel a week before our trip to verify our stay. They were quick to respond with clear check-in directions. The jacuzzi tub in the room was a nice touch and worked well. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. A/C worked well. The staircase to the accommodation is very steep and small (like a lot of places in the city), made of marble and very pretty. Just be prepared to go up and down about 3 floors. Marlon helped with our luggage which was very nice.

The property is located in a great central location. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted and in most cases it was less than a mile. We walked to the Collesium relatively smoothly. The Trevi Fountain and Parthenon were a half mile away or so. Tons of shopping and restaurants as soon as you step out of the building. Marlon was wonderful. He stayed in contact with me the whole time. Our train from Florence was delayed due to strikes, and he was very accommodating.

The one con that is on us— we did not know this property did not have an elevator/lift before booking. Walking up 3 flights of narrow stairs multiple times a day was not enjoyable. Also, the property is not a hotel. If you don’t mind those two cons, you will really enjoy the property.

StarHome Novana is located, as the name suggests, STEPS from Piazza Novana. But better than that, it’s SO CENTRAL. It’s a €15 can ride to and from Roma Termini and only takes 20 minutes (and only because of traffic…because Rome). Even more betterer than that, YOU CAN WALK EVERYWHERE FROM
HERE with a maximum time of 30 minutes. Colosseum/Roman Forum: 25 minutes
Trevi fountain: 11 minutes
Pantheon: 6 minutes
Vatican: 30 minutes

Should I keep going? Ok, I will.

Jewish Ghetto: 15 minutes
Spanish Steps: 15 minutes
Piazza Novana: NONE minutes

And that’s walking. Cabs in Rome are not expensive, so take a stinkin’ cab if you have to.

Okay, next item in the “location” category is how freaking cool getting up to the room is. You will basically feel like you’re better than everyone else, because there is an unassuming green door basically inside the outdoor seating area of a restaurant, and that is your door. You get to smirk at the lowly peasants in the street as you open your special door and enter a long hallway lit with contemporary sconces which lead you to a marble spiral staircase. You’re basically Robert Langdon from “The Da’Vinci Code” at this point. While I do admit that the stairs are exhausting, it is worth the climb to the 3rd floor and the entrance to the hotel. There are 3 rooms and a lobby area, where my man Marlon has his desk, but we’ll get to him later. First, the room:

This place is in the middle of everything! You literally walk out the door and have shops and restaurants. We stayed on our honeymoon and had many romantic dinners steps from the guesthouse. Public transportation is close, but none of the main attractions are more than a 30 minute walk. The Pantheon is a 10 minute walk away. The manager is as friendly as can be and accommodated us to no end. The day we left he let us store our luggage and worked with us to make our stay amazing.

The pluses include- great location, nice neighborhood, very modern room, staff helpful. Minuses- major was the stairs however, by the end of our stay we were used to them. One set of keys was supplied which was challenging for a family when someone wanted to leave and someone wanted to stay because you needed the key to get in the building. The mattress was terrible. The room was very modern as well as the bathroom however the bathroom was extremely small with no shelf in the shower to hold soap and shampoo. Overall ranking a C.

The property is in a great area close to Piazza Navona and short walks to Trevis Fountain, Spanish Steps and Vatican City. It was clean with a comfortable bed but there was not daily housekeeping or breakfast as suggested. The biggest downside is the noise not only from outside (which is understandable given location) but zero soundproofing means you can hear every word, TV, toilet flush from reception and other rooms, which really negatively impacted the experience.

I’d recommend if you really want a jacuzzi, if you don’t plan to use it I’m not sure on the value. The staff is very helpful but I’d rate it as average because despite the great location, and the personal touch because:
- triple room is not really a triple, the other bed is essentially a foot ottoman that folds out and the photos on the space are misreading, jacuzzi is right across from the bed
- 3 flights of very scary thin steps
- the shower was totally clogged and required a Plummer to come, which they did the same day
- they do not clean your room everyday or leave nearly enough towels for a jacuzzi room, the floor was always wet in both the bathroom and main room with jacuzzi because you only have one small window with practically no natural light
- nowhere to put anything in the shower, not a single shelf or ledge
- limited bathroom counter space
- no mirror except in bathroom, not a full length or otherwise
A few improvements would go a long way for comfort!

I was very satisfied with this stay with the exception of the stairs. I was prepared for going up 3 floors to my room. What I was not prepared for is the type of stairs. The stairway is a narrow, spiral staircase with no landings to speak of. As a person who has fallen down stairs, this stairway intimated me. I think the type of stairs should be described in the listing. Otherwise, I would stay with them again. I was told they have rooms in other buildings, so maybe I will see them again.

Everything good, except jets on jacuzzi tub were not functioning correctly. With jets totally covered with water- water was shooting out of tub all over bathroom. Shower in that same tub also malfunctioning.
The only other thing, there are no dishes in kitchen. It’s fully stocked for cooking- but no plates or cups.

The check-in process is bad. We rang the bell for the hotel and no answer. We rang the telephone number on the booking only to be told the person \"was not the owner\" and we'd have to wait for someone to show up. 40+ minutes later, someone finally checked us in.

The hotel is comfy enough. The room was dark, the toilet seat was too small for the toilet (which was strange and uncomfortable), the breakfast was poor and not as described. I would not stay here again. The location was good though.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The owners were highly communicative prior to our arrival and even booked our arrival and departure transportation to the hotel, which I compared to an Uber rate and found to be extremely competitive yet far more convenient since they were waiting inside the terminal upon our arrival... knowing exactly where to take us. The owners met us at the apartment to provide a tour of the unit and its facilities. Being a 1400 yr old building, we had a small bathroom and some low ceilings, but overall the place was comfortable with incredible character. The location was AMAZING... so central and convenient to everything... with restaurants just outside the front door. Very cool! I highly recommend this property and will gladly return!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Navona Rooms. The location is nearly perfect. It's in the cutest little Piazza with a ton of dining and shopping options, and is only steps from Piazza Navona. The staff could not have been nicer, and was quick to respond to our requests. The room itself was quite large, especially for the location. Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean, if not a little dusty. The downsides, as other reviews mention, are the steps up to room. I called them the \"death stairs\" because they are narrow, spiral, and steep. We planned our whole day around not having to take them more than once. Thankfully the gentleman running the place carried our bags up and down - I don't know what I would have done. I did not lower my rating for the stairs, because it is not something they can control being in an old building in Rome. That being said, I did reduce my rating slightly because of the shower situation. Again, it is an old building, but they really need to get their plumbing updated. The shower would go back and forth from freezing to scalding to freezing again, over and over. One night after a particularly cold day outside, the shower never got hot at all. They could also use some shelving in the shower to hold toiletries. Overall, we had a great stay.

This is not a hotel or a guest house. These are suites in residential buildings. They’re AirBNB. No room cleaning between days, no offer to change towels, not even enough toilet paper. No front desk to ask for help in getting neighbours to be quiet late at night. No taxis allowed to drive in this area so you’re walking in and out with your bags. As a VIP member we were supposed to have a bottle of wine waiting - we had to ask for it, and then it was dropped off without notification of room entry. Floors need cleaning. Lights above the bath are loose and flash like a strobe. Kitchen walls have food splashes. And these are not “hot tubs”, they’re bathtubs. The owners are quite nice and good with communication but you have to organize an exact meeting time which can be hard when travelling. In all, the establishment advertisement is misleading and we were very disappointed

The property was in such a great location. Piazza Navona is so lively in the evenings - lots of options for drinks and food!
The actual rooms are so cute! Original wood beams and we had the cutest little balcony type window that opened up over the street.
The only drawback is that it’s an old building so there are no elevators and the stairs are steep and lots of them.. so if you have mobility issues it would be difficult to get up and down.

Free Breakfast only consists of drink and croissant.

We stayed in the Farnese Annex and it was a perfect location just round the corner from Campo de fiori and straight across the bridge from Trastevere. We could walk to all the historic sites with ease. Salvatore and his wife met us and walked us to the apartment. They were so kind and friendly. Having a kitchenette made it very homey, the hot tub was perfect for soothing exhausted legs, and the bed was super comfy. They also had Netflix, if that's your thing. We could also leave our cases after check out as we had a late flight. I'm definitely staying in the Annex apartment next time I'm back in Rome.

The property location was phenomenal! We walked to Trevi Fountain, the Panthenon, Piazza Navona, shopping, restaurants, Campi de Fiori and so much more ! The owners were so nice and helpful. The unit was incredible and well maintained. It was a contemporary unit in an older building. The air conditioning worked great and it was needed as we went in late August. Everything was clean and neat like a hotel.

The only part I need to mention is that this is an older building with no elevator so not recommended for older clients as we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs each time. No problem for us as we are in our 50's with good knees and feet.... But if you are going to Rome you will be doing a lot of walking anyway.

Super clean, and staff was helpful w/luggage and airport shuttle (fee). Steps away from great food/shopping. Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps were all very walkable. Very safe area to walk at night. The street noise could not be heard in the room w/windows shut. Walls are paper thin and entire conversations are easily heard. No elevator. The very narrow, winding, spiral marble staircase with a thin metal handrail is 50 steps up. There is an AED and fire extinguisher available. Small table and chairs with coffee service was nice to enjoy the street activity below while having coffee. It’s the perfect room for agile people who can handle the stairs easily and want to see all the best spots Rome has to offer.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Navona property. The location is the best - walking distance to most things, lots of restaurants right outside. Always very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. The suite we stayed in was on the third floor, up a very narrow, winding staircase very Medieval. Fun, but be aware. In this suite, the walls were quite thin and we happened to have extremely noisy neighbours, shouting and banging in the middle of the night. Not the hotels fault, of course but annoying. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were wonderful, Marlon took time to get us familiar with the area and was helpful carrying our bags up to the rooms. The room was well air conditioned and we appreciated the water and coffee left for us. The rooms are located in a very convenient area of Rome. You can walk to everything or take the bus.

Amazing location in Roma

Awesome location, very clean, welcoming and friendly hosts. We also had a window overlooking the plaza for a cool view. Up 3 floors of a tight spiral staircase but that only adds to its charm. Highly recommend!

Staff were really friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and provided suggestions. Location was brillant and we walked everywhere. Breakfast was provided at a cafe across the road and consisted of a coffee and crossiant (when we asked for water we were charged). Your site made no reference to the narrow and steep spiral staircase- this is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Hotel called Navona with hot tubs so disappointed that there was wasnt one to use

The building was very history and we loved how they updated the rooms while still showing off the historic bones. The staff was very kind, communicative, and helpful. They even made sure some one was there to help carry our bags up and down the spiral stair cases.

The location of the prorperty and our host (staff) were excellent. The only issues present were with the shower and bathroom being extremely small, and the issues with the water in the hot tub area. All in all, a good stay!

I booked a beautiful room (from the pictures) very close to Piazza Navona, but the day before our arrival Salvatore sent us a different address. Arriving to the place we found a nice, clean and well equipped room.
The plus of this place was its location. It was close to everything. We had a great experience!

Location is Excellent with everything within walking distance. We rented the apt which was nice having two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The negatives are the stairs are narrow and steep.
And the ceiling on half of the apt is approximately 5’8” so if you are 6’ you will be bent over the entire time in one bedroom and bathroom.
The kitchen is also very old and smells.
However the location makes up for negatives as long as you are aware of it going in.

Property was not located where Orbitz indicated, and the note about the different location was buried in the small print. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but was not because of the location change. Staff were difficult to deal with and off site, any issue was \"not my fault.\" Water in the bathroom was leaking slowly. Electrical outlets were not all working. The place was a 10 rating on Orbitz, and did not live up to this at all.

The property (apartment) is in a great location and was very secure. Walking distance to many of the main attractions. Nice layout for 4 adults and 2 children and was stocked with the items that we needed.
Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. They provided recommendations on restaurants and took the time to show us on a map where places that we were interested in visiting were located. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

Can't say enough good things about the location and the overall area! We landed in Rome to wet, rainy weather and being centrally-located made it easier for us to easily get around! Great bistro directly across from the room, steps to Tre Scalini for great cappuccinos, and an easy walk to other notable sites in central Rome!
