Oh, Navona Stay - you cheeky spot in Piazza Navona's heart! Eight nights felt like an Italian rom-com: stunning views, city chaos soundtrack. Great for authentic vibes; less so for flawless luxury. I'll add joyful sarcasm for the plot twists.
Pros: Location? Chef's kiss! Steps from cafes, 5-min to Pantheon's top coffee. Nespresso machine with daily pods—espresso heaven. Daily housekeeping: spotless, fresh towels, robes, slippers, toiletries. Staff (9am-6pm): helpful, charming, quick taxis. Balcony views of Santa Agnese, obelisk, Bernini's fountain—front-row Rome! Private sauna? Luxe... sorta.
Cons: Room tiny - like for elves. Weird elevated platform behind bed with uneven steps - adventure! Sauna maxed at 60°C (bad insulation); wobbly bench made us stand giggling. Shower leaked everywhere - use towel as dam, wring like Olympics. Piazza noise: 7am trash bottles crashing like thunder; events till midnight (markets, fairs, mics). Not hotel's fault - vibrant Rome! No traffic hum, at least. Booked for Jacuzzi; it vanished - oops! no rebate. Bummer!

!!!TEENY TINY!!! (Unit #3) If you or your family members are taller than 1.68m (5‘6“) and weigh more than 64kg (140 lbs) this isn’t your place, move along to the next listing. Literally had to turn sideways to walk into the shower. Clearance between camper size (think toddler) sink and shower was the distance of my forearm to my first knuckle, could not extend my fingers. Bewildered how my husband was able to get in and out of the shower. Shower pan floor liner had a huge bubble underneath.
Picture 2 (pre-2000 era) dorm rooms pushed together w/2 twin beds, a full size bed, 4 book bag size backpacks & 4 pieces of carry-on luggage. 3 adults & 1 child only stayed for 1 night—Could not imagine staying longer W/O having war with my family. To walk past each other, someone had to sit on the bed and could only walk on 2 sides of the full size bed.
Suitable for very, very small (imagine Wizard of Oz munchkins) 2 adults & 2 small children under the age of 10.

We had a room overlooking Piazza Navona. With the window open, we could lean out and see the entire piazza. The room was just as advertised and was clean and quiet. We did hear a little noise from the piazza, but much less than expected (we were there Sunday and Monday nights, so Sunday was very busy and Monday was dead). We found really good food at family restaurants a couple blocks from piazza and walked everywhere. Be aware that you will need to carry your luggage up a couple flights of stairs to reach the very tiny elevator. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are two fast food places just outside the door and good places within easy walking distance.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Same walking distance to the Vatican and the Colosseum. Lots of restaurants and shops to choose from. We booked two rooms for the same price but one was much smaller than the other. The wifi was very bad, disconnected a lot and was slow. Was supposed to have water in the room every day but didn't until I said something. Luggage needs to be carried up one flight of stairs before an elevator is available...and the elevator is very very small. We would stay there again because of the location but have not learned what questions to ask. Would be good if Hotels.com at least mentioned the elevator situation.

we stayed in the Exclusive Suite, Balcony, City View room. There is a huge tub in the room, but we were told that the tub is out of service. The actual room space is very small. We paid over $500/day and stayed in a small, incontinence room. it was a bad experience.

This a nice, clean property with a friendly staff. Martina was helpful with the check-in process and storing our bags until our room was ready. (Be advised that there are some stairs if you have large bags, but they do have a lift after the first flight). She even helped with our 5am airport pickup.
The bed was comfortable after a long day touring the Vatican which is actually within walking distance.
My only disappointment was that I was unaware of all the restaurants literally behind the hotel in Piazza Navona until it was too late as we were only there for less than 24 hours.

I understand things happen like this, but they offered us a measly 10% discount. Such an insult for so much stress. After many discussions they reluctantly offered another measly 10%
I own a Vrbo property and if something like this happened. I would give a free night with at least an apology. Their attitude was nonchalant!!
On a separate subject, the breakfast they offer through some sort of partnership and a five minute walk away ended up being closed
which they were not aware of.

The hotel is old but the view is amazing. It’s so terribly difficult to figure out how to enter property. We lucked out due to another guest going upstairs through a locked gate. If you cannot call on a cell phone, you’re screwed. They need better instructions and clarifications for arrival.

Very clean, great location (good walking distance to absolutely everything). Very surprised how the windows block out ALL sound from Piazza Navona. Probably the best immediate area to stay, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and other stores around.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience to help others avoid the same mistake. We paid nearly $800 for 2 nights, expecting at least hotel-level comfort, but what we got was far from it — more like a run-down hostel than a proper hotel.
The room was tiny, barely enough space to move around, and everything felt neglected. The floors and beds were visibly stained, which made us question how thoroughly anything had been cleaned. The bathroom was in terrible condition – mold growing in the shower and a disgusting yellow stain on the toilet tank. The only good quality thing was the air conditioning, which thankfully worked well.
The building is difficult to find; there’s no formal entrance and you enter through a common door and climb a flight of stairs just to reach the reception area. The elevator doesn’t start until the first floor, and even then it’s so small that only one person with luggage can fit. It honestly felt more like a dormitory than any kind of decent hotel.
Overall, this place is wildly overpriced for what it offers. The pictures and description did not match the reality, and it left us feeling disappointed . I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you're comfortable paying premium prices for a very depressing experience.

The desk isn’t managed after 6:00 pm till 9:00am. Can be an issue if you need help. Key card and 3 manual keys required to enter the building and room. They have an antiquated elevator system. At a minimum you have to carry your bags up one flight of stairs. There are double manual doors on the elevator. If someone doesn’t close them the elevator doesn’t function and you’re stranded and could walk up or down 4 flights. Location is great but the rooms are simple and not worth $300+ per night. It’s probably a trade off with the cost of a taxi. Staff opened my safe without permission by “mistake” but left me a note. Never had that happen in 30 years of international travel.

The location is within walking distance to most of the major attractions. There are very good restraunts within walking distance. A bus stop is located nearby with nearby shops to purchase bus tickets. I would stay here again. Great room in a good location.

We had a great stay at Navona Stay. Located right off of Piazza Novona, it’s the perfect će real location to explore Rome. With many restaurants and shops right off the Piazza and surrounding area. The staff are very friendly and professional. They provided us with excellent communication for check-in and all the information we needed. Our room was clean and had all the amenities needed. We had a lovely view overlooking the Piazza Novona. Would absolutely stay here again!

The Navona Stay Hotel is situated in the center of many of the sites you’re looking to explore. Location makes it one of the best hotels to stay in. The Navona Plaza is literally 100 ft away which gives you and your family many restaurants to pick from right behind your hotel. Room size is on the smaller side but is to be expected since it’s an older building that was converted to its modern design style interior. I would not hesitate to stay here again in a future Rome visit.

Be wary that the noise from the Piazza Novona can last til late at night so if you have a room that overlooks the square it may be a bit noisy, it didn’t bother us but my daughter in another room found it disruptive.
There were a few issues with the rooms we booked, there was no running water in the bathroom at one point during our stay and the bathroom floor flooded each time we showered but I believe bathroom renovations are occurring which will likely resolve those issues.
Overall location is excellent, the rooms are ok and the service staff are very helpful, they even surprised us with a lovely New Year gift of wine and cakes.
We enjoyed our stay and will return next time we are in Rome.

Cute little boutique hidden away in Piazza Navona!
The property is located right on Piazza Navona. We booked here for that proximity to the Christmas market. The hotel is clean, small, a bit boutique. You do have to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs before reaching the elevator. Overall the room was fine, it was clean and well appointed. The beds were a bit firm, but no big deal. While we did book specifically for the Christmas market, the activity of it was quite loud through the windows until very late at night. Not the property’s fault, we wanted to be near the action and we were! Front desk isn’t 24 hours but they will reach out to make sure you are situated if you come in after hours! Overall, I would stay here again, it was a nice little hidden gem in the middle of the city!

The location is very good. We tend to taxi everywhere and there was a taxi stand just feet away. The room was small but very clean with maid service every day. The staff was very helpful and at the desk from 8a.m. To 8p.m. The facility is adjacent to Navona square with access to numerous food options as well as 2 beautiful churches and fountains which were unfortunately under restoration when we stayed.

When we got to our room we were very pleased with the modern design and the cleanliness. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was quiet.
