This hotel is located one block off Via Veneto - great location. There are high end shops and many restarants within easy walking distance. It is also very close to Borghese Park. We visited the Borghese Gallery and the Etruscan Museum - walked to both. It's also close to the Spanish steps.and a metro stop. This is a small boutique hotel, with nicely updated bathrooms. The breakfast buffet (included in the room price) was EXCELLENT. A big selection of breakfast food, served in a lovely breakfast room (white table cloths), and staffed by friendly, service-oriented people.

An honest review from an American on vacation:

The staff is very nice. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient and fresh. I stayed for a week but I would have had a difficult time staying longer. The rooms are clean but we noticed mold on the ceiling. In addition there are real no perks other than the breakfast. No fridge unless you want to purchase items in it from the hotel. It advertises wifi that constantly cuts in and out. There did not seem to be a solution to fix it nor did it seem the staff know how to fix it.
The restaurant attached is nice but a little stuffy. It would benefit them greatly if they offered room service and maybe just forget the sit down portion entirely.

Overall I recommend the Hotel La Residenza mainly for its location to sites, the comfort and the staff. It would do them good to update a few things.

The location was great Close to subway and central. The breakfast and service was awesome Hot and cold breakfast. Lots of variety to eat. Very friendly. The rooms were clean and nice with patio BUT THE ROOM SMELL LIKE SEWER They changed my room same problem I had to close all the plumbing holes with towels and bathroom door in order to sleep and not effect my lungs. If they didn’t jave a smell on 4 th Floor ITS A GREAT PLACE Request lower floor

I would love to come back to Italy and stay at Hotel La Residenza because they allowed us to check in early at 12 noon. The room is spotless, the bed was huge and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. The location is quiet and near restaurants.

Lovely hotel in a great location, from the metro and local sights. Staff were very friendly, helpful & rooms were spotlessly clean. The fridge/mini bar was excellent for keeping drinks chilled, the best I’ve ever come across in a hotel room. Great breakfast each day served from 7am till 10:30am with lots of choice.
My only small complaint was there wasn’t tea/coffee facilities in the room. This is the only hotel I’ve ever stayed at without, which was slightly disappointing, as a cup of tea first thing in the morning would have been nice.

We liked the place , it was beautiful. the included breakfast was very good. The staff was efficient, the restaurant in the building was excellent.
My only complaints were, a very weak Internet connection, very difficult to stream anything. There was a tiny TV on the far wall that I could barely see. it wasn’t a smart TV and all I could watch were Italian stations.
There wasn’t a coffee maker or keurig in the room.

My fiancé stated this about our experience: One of the most beautiful cities in the world is unfortunately paired with the ugliness of Hotel La Residenza. Guest service is among the worst I have experienced. The room was barely acceptable, with two twin beds pushed together, mediocre bedding, stained floors, and the requirement to leave your key at the desk whenever you leave. The only positive was the bathroom.
From the start, staff behavior was unprofessional. We witnessed the receptionist yelling at the bellhop over luggage storage. During our stay, both the receptionist and restaurant manager shouted across the lobby about our Uber rather than speaking to us directly. After a long day of sightseeing, we received a pushy call from the front desk insisting on room cleaning despite us keeping the room tidy.
Later, when we asked for water, we were sent into the restaurant, where the manager claimed he was “extremely busy” while mixing two drinks in an empty space and then directed us to buy water elsewhere. A hotel that cannot provide water to its guests is unacceptable.
Aside from the kind maid and helpful bellhops, staff lacked professionalism and hospitality. Breakfast was poor, rooms were mediocre, and service was consistently unpleasant. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Excellent stay at La Residenza. Vincenzo is amazing and gave us wonderful tips of restaurants/ areas to try as well as mapping out the routes to help us. Rooms were extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable! We checked out today for Florence, but will be back for 1 more night on Thursday before flying back to SD on Friday! I don’t think I’ve ever felt so secure in a hotel. We were greeted at the desk by a very professional attendant and quickly checked in. All staff that we encountered were impressive. The room was clean and spacious, with no noise from outside. The morning breakfast was delicious with courteous staff. My only advice would be that the breakfast area could use some music for ambiance. The location was safe and tucked away on a side street, but seemed to be in a superior location near the US Embassy. Another plus, was that it was one block away from a hop on hop off bus. We traveled through all the stops that took approximately 1 hour which helped us get a great overview of the city, and guide us where we wanted to revisit. It was a nice quiet change after an 11 night Mediterranean Celebrity Cruise.

Ii selected a Junior Suite but the room assigned smell bad because the fiber glass epoxy on doors and trim was still curing and made the entire room smell like boat manufacturer. There also was a sting sewage smell coming from the shower bathroom drain. The split ac fan was defective and made continuous fan motor noice. A gentleman attendant in the front desk lacked customer focus.
