The outside of the hotel is beautiful and kept yet when you get inside the appearances decline rapidly. My room had stained carpet, furniture, and walls in and out of the bathroom. Also when opening the door immediately there was a smell of heavy remnants of marijuana smoking. The bedding smelled like sour clothes as if they’d been left wet for too long. And the indoor poor was closed for renovations. I didn’t participate in the free breakfast however it looked really good and it was very crowded with guests. The staff however were incredibly kind, ample parking was offered, and the air conditioning within the rooms was good.

While the location is excellent, that’s all that can be said that’s positive. The place is an absolute wreck. The entire first floor is under construction. The parking lot is extremely dirty and several unsavory characters lurk around. None of the amenities were usable. The only bright spot would the front desk help. She was quite nice and tried to do her best. I simply cannot recommend this place

Clearly going thru renovations which leads to the low stars. It served its purpose as a place to lay our heads for less than 12 hours, near the university university. I get renovating... But the dead roach that'd clearly been there a while by the ac unit in the room, or the dust bunnies on the ceiling .. Stuff like that isn't the renovations fault. Woman at the front desk was polite. Thought it was cool they had a pancake maker rather than a waffle maker. Never seen that. Reading reviews of everywhere close to Southern, it's all being renovated. Hoping the best for the place once that's done. Perfect location... Sadly lacking.

The room 207, was nice and clean and everything I expected,
except, the floor lamp did not work and the bedside wall lamp did not work. I swapped the bulbs so the problem is in the fixtures, anyway I’ll be back in a couple of weeks.

It's an absolute bargain stay and the staff is helpful and sweet.

The room was nice and spacious. The elevator is old & dated, but it works. Pool was being refurbished and we never partook in the free breakfast so not sure about it, but for what we needed (a clean place to lay our heads), it was great. Close to the football stadium and our son's dorm.

While the staff was friendly, the hotel is in desperate need of updates and cleaning! The pool was not in service, the elevator looks like is is on it’s last leg(sunken spot in the floor), the bathtub was permanently stained black (the tub is supposed to be white), only 1 ice machine works (on the first floor) and the carpet needs replacing (nasty stains and holes)! Stay at your own risk.

It is easy to get to this hotel. Parking was good. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which was a plus especially since there was a Publix grocery store nearby. Staff was professional and helpful. Noticeable were quite a few new improvements to include furniture, air conditioning, tile, walls painted. Definitely stay here again and the price was extremely reasonable.

Definitely recommend for just an overnight stay. I did a solo trip. I felt safe, the staff was wonderful too. The room was decent, one of the walls was half painted and the shower handles were old and rusted. The Breakfast was ok, pancakes, cereal, muffins, etc. The location was amazing. It was great for the price. I would recommend it, but not for longer than a night or two. It was a little noisy. The people above me were loud.

Pretty old hotel, reasonably clean all tings considering, a lot of rust, cracked sink, need a lot of updating. A run down apartment complex adjacent to the hotel, shooting was heard between 10-11 pm. Staff is very nice and respond fast. TV signal was so weak the remote was not changing channels. Breakfast was surprisingly good, could make an egg sausage biscuits. Good enough for one night stay if you're not too picky. Felt like staying at the Motel 8.

The property on the outside looks great but the inside is run down and smells. I arrived late after paying ahead for a room with two beds and was given a king with a fold out sofa bed. The ac made a loud noise, the room smelled, smeared bugs on wall, fold out mattress had blood smeared on it.

First I will start off by saying each member of the front desk. Staff were absolutely incredible. They were nice. They were patient. They were friendly.
The room, however, was unacceptable. I am quite frustrated about my stay there every single Surface not only in the bathroom, but the entire room was covered in so much rust like every single piece of metal, including the lampshades had rust on them. The room looked like somebody pieced it together, barely meaning the walls. There was no paint on most of them. If it was painted, it was very sloppy. There is no vent in the bathroom, so everything is extremely humid and moldy visibly as well as the stench of mildew and just sitting water in that room was awful. When I got in there the floors were absolutely filthy with big chunks of something dark brown on them, my bedframe was made out of some sort of sheet metal type thing because when I got on it, it made like a loud metal popping sound like it was dipping down or something. It just was very much a rundown Dirty unkept hotel room.

Everything thing was clean and great looking. Only thing is the excessive bleach use. It’s very strong throughout the building. Which is very dangerous for people who have asthma and breathing issues, it can trigger an asthma attack. It almost smells like a combination of chemicals which is extremely dangerous.

Location is great! Close to the school and easy to reach the eating places and college venues. The property needs updating immediately!!! The rooms may be clean but they are so dated they look dirty and worn. Bathroom dated, Shower barely warm, furniture was stained, the carpet was old and stained.We only stayed for the night. We were drained and arrived late so we didn't fuss but as soon as we got a little rest we were gone! The staff was very friendly, and the parking was fine. The property needs some TLC, ASAP.

I was in town to move my son out of his colllege dorm. Staff was friendly…check in was easy. A bit of an older property but in good condition….Rooms were comfortable and overall clean and a good value. Wi-Fi was spotty but overall a clean comfortable stay for one night. Rooms were filthy; food splatters were on the floors, walls and refrigerator. Bathroom had mold around caulking, and the bottom of the tub was stained with dirty idk what, wood flooring planks had 1/2\" gaps between the planks where crud had fallen in the cracks, and the \"silver\" drawer handles were rusted brown. Was afraid to even sit on the furniture. Complained to the desk and given key to another room to possibly use. It was worse with same filthy walls rusted handles, dirty shower tub, but had dirty dingy carpet instead. Got a refund and left w/o staying. Staff was very friendly tho.

Overall it was a nice hotel. I didn't realize the cleaning staff would come in daily and since I was staying there a few days, I preferred they didn't. I asked for extra towels then the following day they came into clean and removed my extra towels. Later I had to request a privacy door tag as there wasn't one already on the door.

Hotel is convienent to Georgia Southern. It alot of wear and tear. Upgrades are in desperate need. I traveled with my 18 year old on a college visit, Iwould not recommend for more than a 1 night stay. Roaches in room crawling on wall, trash from previous person left in room, so i know they didnt thoroughly clean it. Shower pressure was great with hot water, but it does not drain. Water filled tub and took over 30mins to drain.

I recommend Eagles Nest. The room and facilities were clean and all taken care of. There was minor wear a few locations, but four a hotel in this price range it was well above average. The staff were polite and helpful, even when our 10pm checking turned into a 1am checking due to issues completely unrelated to the hotel.

The hotel looks like it's abandoned. The room has been poorly maintained (carpet was dirty with stains, Walls and ceiling with portions showing damage, blue tape attaching a section of the TV cabinet, floor with loose strips, etc). We arrived around 2 am after a long drive, and nobody was at the front desk. We waited 45 minutes until a lady came and gave us the room key. For a few $s more, you can find a much better place. This hotel has been managed as a 1-star hotel. It’s day and night versus 2 or 3 years ago. I recommend that you reserve a different hotel. Our stay was just for one night to visit our college daughter.

I've only encountered the front desk when I checked in and out and they were nice. The room and the common areas were pretty dirty. The TV remote didn't work properly either. The bathroom was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. I was tempted to ask for a room change, but judging by what the way the entire place looked I didn't even bother. We will not be staying there again.
