The airport shuttle service works well and check-in at the hotel was quick and easy. The room was clean and all fixtures and fittings worked well. There is no breakfast service. However, the manager took pity on me and made me some coffee and scrambled eggs.

Everything went well. Handy to airport. Food at the thai restaurant was good but somewhat expensive. Hotel called a local driver and he charged like he was a driver at the hilton. Unfortunately i could not download the tt taxi app till later. I needed a nearby hotel to the airport to do errands nearby. Worth staying here if you have a late or esrly flight. Very clean.

Significant lack of amenities not even an elect kettle was available in the room. I had to ask for one and a microwave. The bathroom has rusted furnishes. There was no way to control the AC. This has to be improved.There was no hot water it seems. The staff was very friendly though.

We just completed our third stay at this hotel, and it remains an absolute gem. If you're looking for a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place near the airport, look no further.

From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by some of the most hospitable and kind people we have ever encountered at any hotel. The staff genuinely cares about your experience and goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.

Two standout features keep us coming back:

1. The Laundry Service: It is incredibly efficient and reliable. Perfect for travelers who need to freshen up their wardrobe.
2. The Restaurant: The Indian/Thai restaurant on the third floor is nothing short of phenomenal. We would confidently argue it's the best of its kind on the island! The food is consistently amazing, making it a destination in itself.

The combination of a comfortable environment, top-tier service, and world-class food, all conveniently located right behind the airport, is unbeatable. We love it here and will undoubtedly be back for a fourth visit. Highly, highly recommended!

Terrible, don’t stay here. I just tried to write a rating and it deleted everything.

No extra towels or toilet paper.

Rusted shower heads with lots of calcium buildup
Water smelt like bleach - made eyes burn after showering
Asked for money at every point but in USD. We were Canadians
No one at desk when my niece tried to meet us at 3am. She stood outside for 30minutes, unable to get inside because the doors are locked for safety.

We were 3 in our room, we had to ask for more towels. When we would use them, they would take the dirty ones but not replace with clean ones. We had to ask for toilet paper.

The air conditioning leaked.

They kept asking us for money in USD when our booking was in CAD, also odd that they wouldn’t be asking for local currency.

The beds were very sunken in and uneven. The shower was rusted and had heavy calcium buildup and the water smelt like bleach. After I would shower I felt my eyes would burn when I kept them open.

The battery in the remote for the tv was dead and we had to go ask for a new one.

We requested a shuttle from the hotel to the airport, and we had to pay for it. When the service was supposed to be included.

Our booking said breakfast included, when we went to get something to eat upstairs there was no one there. Completely empty. The receptionist had to CHECK if we could get food without paying. Then SHE was the one who made the breakfast. Only thing we can say was that the breakfast she made was actually good.

The dynamics of the hotel in general were very weird. We had another guest come to meet us and she stood outside for over 30 minutes at 3am waiting to get into the hotel because there was no one at the desk.

We booked this online last minute after missing our connecting flight; we needed a reasonably priced hotel close to the airport for an overnight stay. This fit the bill. Staff were very friendly and helpful; our room on the first floor was clean and spacious. We had an issue with the tv and the front desk clerk tried to assist. There’s limited food options nearby so we ate at the airport before checking in. That said, there is a restaurant on the top floor (Indian and Thai food); we ate a continental breakfast. We were assured that all meat served is halal and that was an added benefit.

Pretty Good With One Note...

This hotel was fine. It was exactly what it was advertised as and it'd be fine for most people. The restaurant on the top floor was also very good. I had one issue, but admittedly it wouldn't affect most guests. But just so it's out there in case anyone else encounters this. I travel mostly for business, and I often will stay at a hotel in one country or city and then fly to other locations, only to fly back to my origin point at the end of the day. Because of this I only book hotels the offer shuttles or transfers to the airport. On this trip I booked this location for two nights and would need to go to the airport on both mornings. Well, they refused to provide an airport transfer for the second morning as \"only one transfer was provided per stay...\" Which, I'll be honest, doesn't make a ton of sense to me because I paid for two nights... It's not like I only paid for one night and wanted to go to the airport twice in the same day. It would be no different than two separate guests paying for two separate nights and they both needed transfers. In all of my years of traveling, this is the only hotel that has done this. Now, in the end, my flight back to POS was canceled and I ended up having to stay in Barbados the second night, so it was all a moot point in the end, but just FYI. Because they don't actually have a \"shuttle\" and it's just them getting you a taxi, they won't transfer you to the airport more than once per stay. Otherwise this would be fine for most people.

The Grand Diamond Hotel is a little gem near the airport. Cozy and clean accommodations with a nice Thai/Indian cuisine restaurant. Free airport shuttle service is provided. Was very happy to have a load of laundry washed and folded for a reasonable price after being on a trip for a week. The Assistant Manager, Sherri, was very friendly and helpful! She even helped us order a pizza for delivery to the hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is usually great for a 1 night stay. We've used them several times. This time however, we did not get the type of room that we booked, despite text and phone communications with them prior to arrival.
Also, be aware that if you have several pieces of luggage that requires their shuttle service to use a van (as opposed to a regular sized car) from the airport, you will be responsible for paying half of the fare ($100 TT), the hotel pays the other half to the taxi driver. We were not informed of this until after we were already in the van. The fare for a regular taxi is usually around $6 TT per person since it's just a 7 min drive.
The best staff person there is Sherry (front desk). She is always very considerate and will do whatever she can to help you - giving info, arranging a ride, etc.
Unfortunately, each time we have had some miscommunication issue regarding our booking, it has been a younger male (name unknown) that took the call - not sure if he makes note of the messages he receives so that the night shift person is aware.

It's a cool, locally-owned hotel in the middle of a neighborhood. I loved that bc I prefer to live among locals when I travel. There were a lot of opportunities for me to walk around and visit the other locally-owned restaurants and boutiques. There was also a nice and convenient restaurant on the roof. I enjoyed the food.

I only had two concerns. The first was that they overbooked, and on my first night I was placed in a room that was only partially renovated. It was uncomfortable. The second concern was that they advertise a shuttle service. At check-out, their usual drivers were not available. Instead of covering the full cost for another airport driver to transport me, they only paid about 60% (expressing that they have an agreement with their typical drivers where they only pay about 60% of the typical airport cost). I paid the remaining balance.
