Beautiful boutique hotel in Klaipeda

We had such a wonderful stay at the Michaelson during our trip to
klaipeda. The hotel was beautiful and the location was walking distance to everything. I would have loved to try the spa, but it was a short trip and there just wasn’t enough time, but it looked beautiful.

Boutique hotel in unique building, easily walkable to centre, bike hire and ferry to Curonian Spit. Well-equipped rooms Excellent breakfast (though book to avoid any issues), friendly front of staff house. Not a major issue but rooms can be quite warm in mid-summer (I didn't see any air conditioning controls or a fan), and the shower drain smelled a little, but easily sorted with some bleach. I've stayed here multiple times and will do so again - it is a lovely place and the staff are very helpful so the feedback doesn't detract from a really enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Amazing hotel

Breakfast is made to order, restaurant-quality, and absolutely delicious — beautifully presented, too. Kudos to Linas! The interiors are renovated from a very old warehouse, featuring wooden beams from Venice. A+ for the designer! I'm an experienced traveler, and I can confidently say this is a top-tier hotel. Oh, and yes — the location is perfect!

Hotel is ok, it is a converted corn warehouse with several upper floor rooms having support beams in rather odd places where one could easily hit their head. The service wasn’t great, we had to run down to the desk to get coffee etc that the housekeeping staff failed to replenish. The beds were comfortable though.

This was my second time staying at your hotel, and I would like to express my appreciation for the overall experience. I truly enjoy staying here and have been impressed by the quality of your services in the past.

However, during this visit, I encountered an issue with the heating system in my room, which unfortunately impacted my stay. For two days, the heating was not functioning properly. When I raised this concern with the daytime receptionist, I was told to wait as “it takes time to turn on.” Despite my repeated concerns, the problem persisted, and I was left in an uncomfortably cold room.

Thankfully, on the last night of my stay, the night shift receptionist was kind and proactive enough to show me how to operate the heating system properly, resolving the issue immediately. I truly appreciated their support and professionalism.

It was disappointing, however, that the daytime receptionist was not more supportive in addressing this matter earlier, as it caused unnecessary discomfort during my stay.

I hope this feedback helps improve the responsiveness and training of your team to ensure such issues are handled more effectively in the future. I look forward to staying with you again under better circumstances.

Room was hot and somewhat stuffy. 1 small window. No fan or ac or ventilation. We had a room with the suite option, ie- connecting door. It was located on a low sloped ramp between rooms. The ramp squeaked from next door. That meant it felt like there was a person in our room walking around. It woke us up several times. Very unnerving.

It looks like the best hotel in Klaipeda and the daily rate was only about $100. Room was in great shape -- everything modern, including in that bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Just a really nice place to stay.

Tidy hotel on river by old town

I enjoy my stay everytime at this hotel. Quiet, tidy, clean, good rooms, everything works as it should. Well-Located by the quiet river area, close to the old town and to the small harbour to cross to the island. Staff is professional. Food menu is good but it could do with a change in my opinion, I would like to see more Lithuanian classic dishes made with taste, but also classic hotel dishes should be available (like a regular Pizza or Spaghetti Bolognese).

We had a nice stay at the Michaelson. The views of the harbor were good and the hotel is conveniently located for walking for dining. The room was spacious and unique - my only complaint is that the luggage rack in our room was located near an exposed wood beam that my husband and I both hit our heads on - lol. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that the bar and restaurant were closed during our recent stay. I would definitely stay again if returning to Klaipeda.

Lovely stay in a beautiful location of Klaipeda. \n

Standard double room was spacious enough for the family of three (including baby cot) which was a nice surprise! The room (and the hotel itself) is nicely decorated, modern with a classic twist.

The only downside was the lack of self-controlled air-con in the room. Two nights out of four we really struggled to keep ourselves cool and the portable fan left in the room wasn't much of a help.

Also, a big thank you to the receptionist Gintare for her outstanding and professional service. Also, I must say she was the exception to the whole guest services team we had a chance to meet during our stay.

Lovely and clean boutique hotel in Klaipeda. Generally the range of available hotels is not great, so this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Great service and very friendly staff. The breakfast was lovely, but you might need to take some time for it. Unfortunately very small and uncomfortable bed.

Beautiful Hotel but No Heating

The hotel is beautifully redone and the staff friendly and willing to help.However in a 4.5 star hotel I would expect ability to control the heating in the room. As it turned out - the main heating had not been turned on at all and at a certain point it became uncomfortably cold in the room. Freezing actually. In fact, the rooms were not heated despite the fact that heating had been turned on in the communal areas. Also we were astounded when on checking out we were asked to wait until the room could be checked before returning our deposit! I think that this hotel has great potential but if it wants to maintain international 4-5 star rating - these issues need to be seen to.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location, right at the harbor and close to old town. Service was excellent, so was the entire appearance of this hotel. Loved that we could park the car right in front of the hotel for free. The only disappointment was that the breakfast was not included in the room rate.

Excellent hotel with delicious breakfast

Very smart, modern hotel in a stylishly renovated old warehouse on the river bank. Well situated on the river walk and a pleasant walk to old town restaurants. The hotel restaurant does serve dinner and lunch.
Top marks to the friendly reception staff who were welcoming and quickly acceded to a few requests which made our stay much more comfortable.
We booked a small attic room on the top floor with an opening window overlooking the river. Generous cupboard space, safe, desk, minibar and chair. The sloping ceiling was no problem to us but the room was compact and the bathroom may be a tight squeeze for people larger than we are. I had requested a coffee maker, which was provided.
There was no air conditioning (cooling) but the window opened and the breezes from the harbour did the trick even in a very warm summer.
I am sensitive to light pollution and had a problem sleeping with a small blue light flashing in the corner, which may have been wifi or smoke detector. Reception to the rescue to block it with strategically placed cushions. I slept well.
Breakfast was outstanding, by far the best we have had in Europe this trip. Great variety in the fresh fruits, yoghurt, breads, cheeses and choice of meals cooked to order in the open kitchen. All the offerings on the buffet were of very high quality. No packaged sliced cheese here!
I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Klaipeda. Go early to breakfast so you can savour all its delights without rush.

This is a wonderfully clean and modern hotel in the best location in Klaipeda, near all of the best parts of the city and easy access to Curonian Split. The breakfast is quite expensive, and the room's air conditioner struggled to keep up with the heat wave, but otherwise this is a fantastic place to stay. I would highly recommend it.

The customer service here is beyond amazing. They did everything they could to make my stay pleasant. I needed work clothes ironed and they took care of it for me. They worked diligently with my trying to get a box delivered to the hotel from the US, box never made it, but was local logistics company fault.
The outside of the building has a rustic look to it, but inside it is all modern. The third floor rooms are a little smaller I would guess due to the slanted roof, but it was cozy and fine for just me.
The location to Old Town and the piers is great, but the issue this leaves is that noise from passer byes drifts to the windows and in. There is no real cooling in the room, so having to leave the window open for some night time cool is not preferential. I did recommend to them to get fans for each room.
I would highly recommend this place as a cozy get away for two and more importantly because the staff were amazing!!

Staying in Klaipeda, you just have to try this.

This is how to make a Boutique hotel ! Would I go back? Oh YES, Would I recommend, Oh Yes. The owners have really thought about what makes their clients feel they are being looked after and provide a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere and rooms that are cosy and classy with so many nice touches. Bathroom fabulous, bed fabulous, food terrific, location great. Would I have liked bigger windows, yes, but then you remember this hotel was born out of a historic building and restrictions make things so much harder than working with a blank canvass taking so much more work but it definitely paid off!. You could transport this hotel and the ethos the owners and importantly staff have to any major city and would not feel it was out of place in the most exclusive area.

Heart of Klaipeda

Location is great as it was a stroll to Old Town with plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants. The passenger ferry is about ten minutes stroll and the ferry goes every half hour. Walk in the pine forest on your way to the surf and pick mushrooms! The hotel itself is beautifully designed with quality fit out, although rooms are small the bathroom is enormous. The bed was the only disappointment.

Service was great until the end where there was a bit of a mix up when we said we had had the breakfast and the receptionist misheard. Breakfast was good. Room was lovely. Bath robes were a bit small though (we are average uk sized so a bit on the large size but not unreasonably so I wouldn't say haha!) and the bed was harder than we are used to (Seems common in the Baltics to have a very firm bed). We would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel in great location

Spent 4 nights here in early July and we would have loved to have spent more nights here - Michaelson definitely deserves its top rating! The room was beautiful - loved the exposed old wooden beams, and the bathroom was amazing too. The breakfasts were a big highlight and I can see why lots of the previous reviews raved about them. Location is perfect for sightseeing around the Old Town, and it was nice and quiet at night. The staff were excellent - especially the people on the front desk & at breakfast. Nice little extras like bathrobes, slippers, and a fresh jug of filtered water everyday.

Charming but not exactly practical

Staff members are gracious and welcoming. Decor is attractive, but we had to be careful not to bump our heads on the angled wood beam which was too low near the entrance to the bathroom. We supposedly had a castle site view, but the castle is no longer there and there were trees blocking our view of that area anyway. The bathroom floors are heated and there is no way for guests to turn down the heat. This caused our room to be too hot, even with the window open all the way. On check-out, they said they could have adjusted the heat at a central control if we had asked.
