I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed by the gracious and most helpful staff. The beautiful , relaxing atmosphere and more importantly the quiet room and dining experience made our stay a ten. Everything was beyond perfect and I actually looked forward to getting out of the City proper and being near a river with hiking trails etc. I highly recommend this amazing hotel!

Luxury King Suite dated. Warning you could use at least a step stool to climb into the bed which is too high! Firm mattress if you like that but personally did not find so comfortable. I don’t recommend ground floor suite as curtains do not fully close for privacy during the night, except for the sheer curtains. Tiny empty hidden bar fridge sort of useless. Bring your own toilet paper. No breakfast food available after 10:30am Was lucky to get a coffee before they closed at 11am. Then not open until evening. Limited restaurant times especially Monday - Wednesday annd no room service those days either. Unfortunate for a hotel that use to be the place to stay in the days back. Way over priced facility especially when restaurant has strict limited open time and nothing nearby walking distance. I also heard from family who live nearby it can be impossible to get a dinner reservation as an outside guest. Also if you want to use the spa services need to book in advance.

Negatives: Biggest negative is the old school magnetic stripe card keys, which are finicky and lose their charge often. Recommend getting two cards even if you don't need both.
Second biggest negative is the odd behaviour by the staff. Asking for your card key to get recharged get you a lecture from the staff about keeping your cards separate from each other so they don't demagnetize each other. We were also chased down by the staff on the way to check out the onsite gym with a firmly spoken, \"Can I help you?!\" when there was nowhere else we could be going. As it turns out, our card keys wouldn't let us into the gym anyway, even though all guests should have access, but given the problems mentioned earlier, it wasn't worth trying to get assistance about it. At least they still worked for the room access.

This is a quaint hotel in a beautiful and quiet part of Toronto. The staff are very friendly and it has been a pleasure staying here. We ate out at different restaurants so I can't comment on the food.

Unique hotel in Toronto. Very peaceful in a small area of woodlands. It is in a luxury part of Toronto in a Tudor style. Not downtown but right on the Bloor subway line which makes everything accessible with a five minute walk and 30 minutes to downtown. Staff was excellent and the on site restaurant is really nice....a bit pricey but worth every penny.

For the price, this was very deceiving. I could have stayed at a much nicer, more modern hotel for half the price. The grounds are really nice and it has a nice caceht but it is OLD. The location is perfect when you have an event happening on site, but it is quite the maze and complicated to get from the hotel to the event venue and both businesses are separate and they do not want to help each other. A weird vibe. I accidentally arrived at the wrong lobby to check in and there was not a soul for a full 10 minutes after which I starter going to all the meeting rooms to try to find someone to check in and finally found someone that told me I was at the wrong place and the two businesses are not connected. Then another 15 minutes later, through a maze, carrying my heavy suitcase through sets of stairs, I finally reached the correct lobby. Then after checking in, I had to go again up another steep ramp as the elevator is quite far from the lobby. The gym is also in a dungeon, 4 sets of stairs down and very humid and dirty. I had another reservation to stay there later next month and I have already cancelled it.

Old Mill Toronto is absolutely beautiful. It is close to all of the activity in Toronto, yet it's quiet and peaceful, and feels like a countryside vacation. We were in Toronto for a concert at Scotiabank arena, and it's just a short drive away. The hotel is huge. We walked all around the inside and checked out the wedding chapel, the ballrooms, meeting areas, art on the walls, woodwork, and even booked a massage in the spa. The landscaping is also beautiful in the snow, and I hope to go back in the summertime and take advantage of the pool. I wish we could have stayed longer, but this was a quick trip. Anytime I'm back in Toronto, I'll be staying at The Old Mill. Excellent!

I would only mention that the tv was not able to stream, nor could we connect it to our laptops as it said the server was down. As well, we really would have liked the option of room service which is not available.

We like to stay at the Old Mill when we visit family and friends in Toronto. It is quiet and relaxing and we especially enjoy the breakfast.

It is a nice and clean hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful, but we are a bit disappointed that there amenities of the hotel (mainly spa) are owned by another business and you need to book with them at a very early time before your check-in. It is very pricy, it is not acceptable for a hotel to make your customers to go for another business to use its basic amenities.
