Overall very good value for the price. Tidy, clean and very convenient to travel from and to ICN. The negative side is room is smaller and can be noisy if facing the street. Don’t take me wrong, the windows do seal pretty well just not exceptional. For the price it is very good.

Fabulous staff and very courteous. They would find a solution quickly on the incident of not having cool air in my room. Within minutes, a portable fan was delivered at my door. That is World Class Customer service in my book🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I stayed here at hotel sunshine for all my visit to Korea. I like it that its very close to all plastic surgery locations and they have a short distance walk to the subway. Everything is very convenient. I like the room and its always quiet during my resting period after my surgeries. Thank you.

Great place, the name suits the place

I stayed 10 nights after having surgery and it was nice. They had a chair that you could relax in, this is rare here in Seoul. The ice maker was great and laundry room clean and easy. Staff all knew English and location was good with lots of restaurants and shopping. Airport bus stop was outside the building. The attached restaurant was beautiful and relaxing. I recommend

Excellent value for the price in the Centre of luxurious Gangnam neighborhood (felt very safe with the well lit areas, secured elevators, and lots of CCTV). Housekeeping was friendly and excellent and great restaurant in lobby. Toilet and TV remote was only in Korean so would recommend a translation of the buttons as a handout. Lobby fantastic room carpet not in best shape.

I stayed for 2 weeks and it was enjoyable to stay here. If you’re looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep and friendly staff I would suggest staying here. There is just one employee who isn’t friendly, but everyone else was super helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was great and cleaned our room frequently and nicely. I traveled with someone who likes to thoroughly clean any hotel room we stay at so I would suggest bringing a magic eraser to clean the tub and disinfectant if you’re super worried about cleanliness and are on a budget. Also, be prepared to see people bandaged up if you’ll be staying in Gangnam. The hotel was also near a lot of bus stops and the subway which made it easy for travel. Namsan Tower is only about 30 minutes by public transportation.

The staffs were nice and helpful when ordering cabs. However, there were several disappontments. Every time draining water from bath tub, water flooded into the floor. All the clocks were not on time. The touch panel on the side table was not responding well so that we had hard time just to turn on and off lights in the room.

Was not as advertised. Hotel was not clean, and my sheets were stained upon arrival. Construction caused them to have a desk on the second floor, and the air conditioning did not work in the room. Felt like there were also bugs in the rooms. No views from the window either. Would not recommend.

We stayed at Hotel Sunshine between medical appointments in Sinsa-dong/ Gangnam. It is located within walking distance of shopping, dining, subways, the Han Riverfront and hundreds of plastic surgery clinics. The rooms are roomy and the beds are luxuriously comfortable.

Everything perfectly fine EXCEPT for one major issue: the room was roasting and there was no air conditioning. After a couple of hours in the room I was literally dripping sweat and the the room was uninhabitable. We literally left in the early evening to go to another hotel because it would have been impossible to sleep in so hot a room.

Dirty, smells, AC doesnt work. Asked the staff if we can change rooms and they said there werent any available so understood that part. But the AC. They didnt fix the AC and had to sleep sweating. They brought a mini fan that was covered in dust so couldnt use that either. After a few days we mentioned how our AC still isnt working and the staff was just like \"ohhhh\". And didnt do anything about it. Not helpful at all.

This was a very nice hotel. The staff was multilingual and very friendly. If you’re an English speaker and can’t speak Korean ask for Jason. His English is excellent and he will happily help you find things to do and places to eat. He will even show you how to get places on the hotel computer and give you various brochures on things to do in Gangnam/Seoul.

Close to clinic we were visiting. We stayed in April 2019, and AC was not on, but it was warm, policy was not to turn on AC that early in the year. Stayed again in June 2019, we confirmed in person that AC would be on. Check in, AC was weak and did not cool, and it was a lot warmer than our April visit. Fan was delivered to our room, made stay bearable, but just barely.

Outstanding place to stay in Gangnam.

The hotel over all was excellent. The rooms were smaller than expected, but still for the price it can’t be beat. The hotel staff was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. They were able to help me and my family by calling for a taxi, to wrtiting a letter to the local pharmacist so that I could get cough syrup for my two year old son that got sick on the trip. Each and every person that worked at the hotel was extremely kind and super helpful. Went way above and beyond to help us out. House keeping did a great job every day keeping the room clean and stocked with clean towels, shampoo and the rest of amenities.
The location of the hotel is in a great spot for shopping and restaurants, night life, and some sightseeing. On average it took us about 10-15 minutes in any direction by car to go to the places we wanted.
Outstanding.
Our next trip we will stay again.

I picked this hotel due to the location being only about a 10 min walk to the subway. My room was a double bed room and not that large, but sufficient. I could have upgraded to a two double bedded room for USD20 more, I decided to stay in the room I had originally. The breakfast was ok as hotel breakfasts go. They tried to have a little something different each day, but let's face it, there is only so much you can do with breakfast.

Sunshine hotel Gangnam review

The staff was helpful. But the air conditioner was not working at all for the two day I stay in. The front office staff told it was system broken down, they tried to fix it. But it's unreasonable will take two days to fix it and it still doesn't work by the time I checked out. The room Cleaness is just okay I mean for a 3 star hotel.

The hotel was undergoing renovation of its lobby, so the hotel was a little bit of a mess. The staff, however, was friendly and accommodating. Our room was a little puzzling with a large picture window separating the bed and bath rooms. Fortunately, a pull down shade was available for those wanting privacy to conduct their affairs in the bath. Don't expect much in the way of on site facilities.

The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. My room was situated on the 6th floor (non smoking) overlooking the street behind. On both Friday and Saturday night people gathered outside the bars on the street there drinking until 4 in the morning. it was therefore very noisy - even with the window closed. The room was very hot but opening the window was not an option because of the noise.

this hotel is very modern. it is one of the more \"technology advanced\" hotels I've stayed in. self hating toilet. I could control everything with one remote. I stayed here for a music festival in town and was very pleased. It was very convenient it the way that I needed and American outlet and they provide one for me. Needed won (Korean Currency) and they exchanged it for me.

This was a clean hotel close to a couple of subway stations. It is within walking distance of restaurants and some nicer stores. The hotel had wifi which I needed to work. I could watch TV while taking a shower which I thought was nice. The bed was comfortable. The room wasn't huge, but fine for what I needed.

Hotel Sunshine was fantastic in terms in comfort, safety, service and location. It is situated right in the heart of Gangnam, Apgujeong, and is a pretty up-market area. Very safe and peaceful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Food at the hotel's restaurant was good too. Breakfast stank, but normal ala carte dishes like kimchi fried rice and beef bulgogi were terrific. And cheap, too.

It is a very convenient location. The twin bed room size is comfortable. Only complaint is the room is not very sound proof. Also plenty of noise at night from the road and people walking and talking loudly.

Located between to metro stops the location was ideal. Price was great to boot. Room size was resonable. Spent two nights, was able leave my large suitcase to visit travel south for a few days and returned for two more nights. Seems there is a very popular nightclub in the basement that starts late and continues to sunrise so the front facing rooms can be noisy if you want to open a window to cool the room.

Good location and clean room. Recommend for the business stay. It is small foe the family stay. Just want to ask to train the staff for the restaurant. During the breakfast for the first day, untrained lady staff was not kind enough to accomodate the guests. Had to ask to serve water and did not allow us to sit on the table booked for the lunch!

The location is good for those who are interest in exploring ApGooJung-Dong. Even though the lobby is a bit small compared to other similar hotels, it just looks like an ordinary business hotel. The room was OK; well organized, good amenity. We could smell very strong 'detergent' in the room. I don't know whether all rooms are the same or only our room was 'specially' cleaned with strong chemical.

The hotel is located approximately 15min away from the subway. Not ideal for people carrying large luggage due to average quality of pedestrian walkway between the station and hotel. The room was clean and well maintained. Overall it exceeded my expectation for a 3 star hotel. No amenities were provided by the hotel except hand wash soap.
