The front-desk staff staff were very helpful. I had a suitcase delivered prior to my arrival and a rental bicycle picked up after I arrived. They provided a box, scissors, and tape that I needed to properly prepare the bike and accessories for handoff.

I was disappointed in the restaurant menu. I am vegan and there was not a single vegan or vegetarian option. Most cities of size offer several options, but in general and in most restaurants, the cuisine is intensely animal based. When salads are offered, they are usually an entree, contain meat or fish, and are expensive.

We had a larger room and bathroom. The location is a bit further from the beach and entertainment areas and the parking lot is very tight! I would not want to drive an SUV. Air conditioning did not work that well. We had a semi-view of the road and you can hear the cars go by.

Good time in Gijon

We love Northern Spain and had a great time in Gijon. This hotel is modern and comfortable. The room was very large with a bed that was more than acceptable to my demanding wife. It is in an area convenient to the beach and restaurants with a large park and aviary just across the street. There was air conditioning, which was well appreciated, but it did leak water and after 3 efforts to fix it we finally had to change rooms. And even when functional, the AC was a little insufficient. The service was first rate and the front desk personnel spoke English (with varying skill) and were always helpful and friendly. We parked at the hotel a couple of nights ($15 was a bit steep), but if you have a little time to look there is street parking available right in the area.We were so pleased with this hotel that we stayed here a second time after a side trip of a couple of days.

I’m sad to share a negative experience with my lodging at Tryp Gijón Pelayo, the air conditioning system very poor in their rooms. The electricity was out for a period of time. I would not recommend to visit during the summer.

Conveniently located for a business trip

Easy to find and well located slightly outside the city centre. The staff were very helpful and patient with our lack of Spanish. There is a bar but it is small and totally lacking in atmosphere unless you like loud football on a TV screen. There is very limited food on offer in the evening better to go out for supper but as it was pouring down with rain we were rather stuck. The breakfast is copious.

The hotel was good, a bit on the pricier side. If you're lucky you can find free parking in front of of it. The fitness center was a bit of a joke, but that is a common thing in many hotels. A well mantained chain hotel.

Sat at bar and waited forcthe restaurant to open for dinner...bartender knew we were waiting and never told us the restaurant was closed! Staff in lobby had no suggestions for dinner locations. It was 8:30 and could not find any dinners being served anywhere. Ended up going to grocery store and picking up snacks.

Good location, nice neighborhood

We've been staying here for the last 15 years for two weeks a time during June-July.

Very nice location in a mid-upper class residential neighborhood with a beautiful park just across the street (you can even hear the peacocks calling each other). Parking a little expensive €14.16/night but it includes taxes.

Overall the hotel is nice but the rooms are starting to need a makeover. Bathroom is very comfortable and large by European standards but they should do away with the bathtub.

I expect a 4 stars hotel to be almost like a 5 star.This was actually closer to a three star.There was no air conditioning in the room,that is why we stayed only one night.In the afternoon it got very warm and it was not confortable,I have to say that the hotel staff was very polite and nice though.The location is not so good,is at the newer end of the bay and it dosen`t have views to the sea.The nicer part is at the other end.You had to pay for wifi and for parking,I would hope this would be inculded in a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is a modern 4 star hotel and therefore could have been anywhere in the world.

It is a little out of town and therefore walking to the old town is a little too far but there are buses and taxi's. The immediate area has a few restaurants and we had breakfast in a cafe round the corner which was very good.

A must is going to a Sidera - cider house as it's a great experience - there are some nice ones in the old town.

Actually nothing special for frequent travellers. Member of big chain, this hotel has not too much special but very good condition, nice service, pretty good breakfast. Specially, I would stress the location. It is next to Arena for Bull Fighting for those who like it :). Unfortunately we missed bull fighting but jazz festival for those who like it :) Exit from hotel bring you to nice garden with birds yard. You can see different exotic birds walking freely next to you. Through the garden in 5 minutes you are on the very nice beach and promenade about 4-5 km long - nice place for long and pleasure walking.

La cinta de correr es antigua, la electrónica daba problemas y se paraba cada poco.

Hôtel un peu excentré ( près des arènes) par rapport à la promenade sur le front de mer .. à 20 min à pied.
pratique d’accès , parking si besoin mais le parking dans la rue n’était pas payant hors zone urgences hôpital.

Avisar inconvenientes oportunamente al huesped

El aire acondicionado, lamentablemente a queja expresa por el calor en la habitación, nos informaron q se encontraba en reparación , q solo estaba funcionando la calefacción, q procediera a apagarla .
Aun asi pasamos la noche muy incomodo por lo mismo, ya que estuvimos sudando por lo mismo , al amanecer vinos q pudimos haber refrescado si abríamos la ventana , creo q esto se nos pudo haber sugerido.
Otro detalle fue q tal vez por este inconveniente del nal funcionamiento del aire q es importante, el precio total pudo tener un ajuste, o por lo menos no cobrar el estacionamiento En empatía hacia el huésped .
Fuera de esto, excelente fue el trato.

Buen hotel, cerca de la playa de San Lorenzo y a 25 minutos andando del casco viejo. Para ser un 4* encontré el desayuno algo justo en comparación con otros alojamientos de la misma categoría. Hacía bastante calor en la habitación, con el aire acondicionado se solucionaba, quizás se deba a la cristalera que recubre el edificio. Parking disponible por 16€ dia.

Estupendo hotel bastante cerca de la playa, aunque ligeramente apartado de la zona más céntrica de Gijón, lo que facilita aparcar en los alrededores sin coste. Camas grandes y cómodas, desayuno espectacular y muy variado, buena limpieza en general y personal de recepción muy amable y atento. Totalmente recomendable.

La habitación del hotel es amplia, la cama cómoda y muy grande. El baño es amplio.
Todo muy limpio y el personal amable. A 5 minutos a pie de la playa. El precio es bastante elevado pero supongo que igual que el resto de alojamiento en Gijón. Hay parking disponible pero caro. Fuera del hotel hay zona blanca para aparcar así que si das un par de vueltas puedes aparcar gratis.

Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb vom 'Geschehen'. Die nächsten Restaurants sind in ca. 10-15 Minuten Fußweg zu erreichen. Dafür ist es am Abend ruhig.
Die Garage ist sehr dunkel und macht keinen guten Eindruck.

Resulta monótono pero no por ello menos cierto decir que es un valor seguro y mi primera opción en Asturias , la nueva dirección solo mejoró un hotel que su principal valor es el ambiente cercano y profesional que aporta su gran equipo humano , Seguiré viniendo siempre que pueda como todos estos años .Mi Segunda casa en los viajes .

Muy austero, sin detalles, el sistema para gel champú y acondicionador (que es lo único que hay) botes rellenables que no dan ninguna garantía con el COVID. No había secador de pelo ni pasta de dientes ni body milk como en otros hoteles de la misma gama, la limpieza regular y la atención del personal correcta pero sin amabilidad. En definitiva muy lejos de lo que se espera de un cuatro estrellas
