This hotel is better than the pictures suggest, we stayed 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, our bedroom was massive and air-conditioned. The Swimming pool was heated to about 30° and beautiful to swim in. The food, fantastic and the breakfast perfect. Absolutely loved everything about it.
If I was to be very picky it would be to say you could hear the background music playing in the bar below but was only quiet. Not an issue for me but my partner is a light sleeper.
We will definitely be back. Absolute hidden gem.

An early start necessitated a continental room breakfast - a sizeable feast, better than many in house breakfasts!

On arrival we were told the pool wasn’t open yet, which was a shame. Check in was good and quick. On entering our room it looked amazing very spacious & bathroom was large and looked amazing. Bed was comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Staff were attentive.
On using the shower the following morning it looked amazing but the rain shower part of it didn’t work which only left a pull out shower which wasn’t very tall and not a lot of pressure. Also the bathroom had a lot of lights but only one switch so when it was on it was very bright.

The Hotel was simply amazing. This is a very genuine review. My friend and I stepped into the hotel and realised how lucky we were to find this place. Staff simply so helpful also the maintenance men who helped me when i needed help. Our room was so large and so well decorated. bathroom was also so big with a really nice big bath, with a really nice shower. Every where was so clean. Food was very good. the pool is heated and a nice size. i will give this hotel 100% for everything. Oh, also, so quiet at night and it was so easy to get sleep.

Fabulous stay at the Farmhouse

Great stay at the Farmhouse, what a beautiful place with fantastic staff. We arrived late as our flight was cancelled and the reception staff had tracked our progress, waiting for us to arrive.
Lovely room, really well appointed with everything you could wish for to enhance our stay. Safe, fridge, well stocked mini bar, complimentary fruit and small decanter of port. Great bathroom with lovely toiletries and big powerful shower. Fluffy dressing gowns and slippers were a nice touch. Comfy bed and pillows, all areas exceptionally clean. The icing on the cake was an outdoor patio area with 2 sun loungers, 2 chairs and a table - brilliant!
Amazing breakfast, great continental selection followed by a freshly cooked hot selection, I had something different every day and the quality was superb.
The breakfast staff were all lovely, nothing was too much trouble.
We were lucky to have beautiful sunny weather and my grandson made the most of the outdoor pool.
The outdoor area was great, loads of lovely comfy seating and loungers in a separate area for hotel guests.
We had a meal outside on our last evening and again lovely tasty food and exceptional service.
First class stay - can’t wait to return

We enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse. Our dinner was lovely, and breakfast was nice too. We loved having slippers and bathrobes in the rooms and underfloor heating in the bathroom. The flowers around the property were lovely. The only criticism would be that a few of the staff, while very nice and well-intentioned, didn’t always explain the details and thus it led to some confusion. E.g. for breakfast, even though we were staying at the hotel, we were seated outside and given the menu for non-guests with prices listed, and it was only because I thought I read that breakfast was included, that we decided to ask, and then we were told there is a breakfast room inside. We had to ask about that, and even when we were in the breakfast room, it was not made clear if only the continental buffet was included or if it you could order a full breakfast off the menu. Other than a few little issues like that, the stay was very nice, and we would stay there again.

Rustic charm with luxury in abundance

From the moment we arrived we knew we’d chosen well. We received a very friendly welcome from the receptionist & were delighted to have been upgraded from a superior room to a suite.
The room had a beautiful spacious bathroom with fluffy bath robes & organic toiletries.
The hotel is tastefully decorated, with a rustic charm as the name ‘The Farmhouse’ would hint at but with luxurious touches.
We also ate in the restaurant 3 evenings & had room service one evening too. The food was delicious & the service very attentive.
Breakfast was excellent, lots of cooked options & very generous portion sizes.
We couldn’t find fault with any element of our stay here.
We chose this hotel as we wanted somewhere small but with an element of luxury.
We absolutely loved every minute.

Unfortunately our room was a little small and looked out on the extractor fan from the kitchen.
This meant that if we opened the only window we got the cooking smells from the kitchen into the room. Our room was therefore very stuffy with us relying on the air conditioning unit to freshen the air.

Whilst this isn’t a complaint, my wife and I found the food in the restaurant over-facing, with the result that we stopped eating dinner in the hotel. I would suggest that the hotel offers a different bar food menu in the bar for guests who don’t want the a la carte menu.

We would go back to the hotel - but we would make sure we booked early to get a larger room with a balcony.

I have stayed several times at The Farmhouse and it is a wonderful place.My family stayed over this time and the room was lovely and spare bed put in for little one and so comfy.
Pool was enjoyed and weather was super.
Only one thing spoiled full marks and it was that there was not a meat platter at breakfast,little on found pancakes a little thickly presented and my son in law ordered a full English with a steak and there was no full English with steak but it was very good as wa smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.First am there was not a table ready for us and we had to find milk jug and butter etc.Other than that it was a lovely couple of days and that was only smiley face lost.Lovely Farmhouse.

Great boutique hotel in a lovely setting

We stayed over the Christmas period and although there were few guests staying over this period (in fact we were the only room for one night) the hotel staff couldn`t have been more helpful. They were all really friendly and attentive all all times throughout our stay. We had Christmas lunch were they catered for around 110 guests and the food & service was fantastic. Breakfast was lovely every morning with a wide choice cooked to order. Room was clean, comfortable and had a great shower / wet room. Set in some lovely gardens with a nice pool for use in the summer. All the amenities of a 4 star hotel with a B&B feel (It felt like each one of the staff would go out of their way to assist with anything you required.

Stayed booked two double rooms.. From myself and daughter & Grand daughter.
Positive.. Food excellent, staff very helpful. The small drink of port excellent idea, never come across this before, have stayed in many hotels around the world. The step into and out of the bathroom is dangerous shred this with your manager. TV could not retain selection to a channel. A small map of the area would be helpful showing main areas of interest. Good points with some improvements to be had

Our room was hot and next to kitchen fans. We told the hotel about the noise on 1st day. There was air conditioning but it was the noise which was annoying. They rectified the issue by moving us several times throughout our 7 day stay. This was a compromise for us and we couldn’t fully unpack our clothes because of the moves. The decor was lovely and the shower was brilliant. There was an infestation of ants which they sorted without too much fuss and their room biscuits were lovely. However, these were missed on a couple of days. Another chair in the room would have been more comfortable but space was limited. Meals were inconsistent in that sometimes they were really good and other times not so. Room 6 towel rail temp needs turning down....too hot. I burnt myself on it.

The food was absolutely beautiful and would definitely recommend to anyone in Guernsey.

The only possible downside is that each day visitors presumably from the sister hotel descended and there would be very little space around the pool and certainly no room in it!

Quiet hotel even if it is close to the airport

Nice quiet hotel tucked away in the countryside of Guernsey. Not the easiest place to find initially but that is more down to the fact that the hire car GPS was useless in Guernsey. Check was easy and room size given was excellent with a large shower and was at the rear of the hotel. The view was more of the roof but you could also see some of the gardens and countryside. Plenty of places to sit around the heated pool and gardens plus the restaurant facilities were very good.

There was nothing the staff couldn't do for you, from the front desk, bar, cleaning and serving . They would bend over backwards if that was required. The ambience is laid back but with total efficiency.

3 out of our 5 nights were marred due to extremely loud music and drunken revellers on one of the nights weddings. Unfortunately, we were not informed of 1 prom and 2 weddings on 3 consecutive nights, until the day before our arrival! Our room was just above the function room (which was a superior room) and the noise was horrendous. Had we been informed at the time of booking, we would have chosen another hotel. If it hadn’t had these functions, the hotel would be superb. Check prior to booking!

My only comment is that I asked for no butter on my toast as I am dairy intolerant and the chef disregarded this and did so anyway. I didn't realise until half way through as had assumed it was a non dairy spread. I then had to suffer in upset stomach and nausea for 5 hrs whilst in business meetings which was pretty distressing! Thank god I wasn't allergic to peanuts or Id have gone into anaphylactic shock! Just putting 2a bit on\" isn't good enough if you request non.

Comfortable hotel close to the airport

We stayed for 7 nights from 9th October 2017.
We were originally in room 4 which was a very pleasant room but noisy from traffic in the early morning from around 5.00am. We asked for a quieter room and the staff were very accommodating in arranging a transfer to room 10 which was much better. The only problem with that room was that the suite above had very squeaky floorboards when the occupants were walking around. Overall the hotel was very pleasant, the breakfasts were good and staff very friendly and helpful.

Spoilt by noise, little notice of wedding

Firstly, on the surface this is a perfectly pleasant hotel located a couple of minutes drive from the airport. Our room was well appointed and the decoration nicely done. We ate two meals in the hotel, both reasonable with the breakfast being particularly good. In the room was some port (?) and shortbread biscuits that were complimentary. Sadly the wine glass left on the table was cracked.

Unfortunately, we had booked a night of a wedding function. However, I was only notified of this with less than a week to the event! Why notify me at such short notice when I couldn't find any comparable accommodation available on the island? Surely the wedding was booked weeks or months (if not a year) in advance and I could have been notified at the time of reserving a room?

In response to the wedding notification email I I then asked to be put in a quiet room . At check in I was advised this was the case but then found my room to be directly above the very noisy bar! Perhaps the hotel is too small to mitigate against noise from such a function, even more important it should have notified me earlier so that I could have made alternative arrangements.

There was no attempt to address the inconvenience of the noise or wedding to us as one of the few (if not only) non-wedding guests in the venue.

Overall, I'd like to return as the rooms and general staff were lovely but wouldn't want the inconvenience of an event

First visit to Guernsey

Having never visited Guernsey during our 39 years together, my wife and I wanted something special for a week prior to her birthday.
I am so pleased we chose The Farmhouse for our week's stay.
The whole experience was exactly what we were looking for and overall we could not fault any aspect of what is a beautiful hotel with the quality and feel of a family run establishment.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family and friends.
Guernsey is a most beautiful and unique location and The Farmhouse enhances the experience for anyone staying on the island.
We also spent a day away visiting the island of Sark which added to the experience.

Relaxing Break

The hotel was set in the heart of the countryside, but with a bus stop right outside, giving easy access to the rest of the island. We didn't hire a car but walked or used the buses to get everywhere. The buses, unfortunately, stopped at about 8 pm but taxis were reasonably priced and easily accessible.

The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel was delicious and certainly no more expensive than anywhere else on the island.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet with excellent facilities. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights for our wedding anniversary. The Farmhouse was a great choice for us. Tucked away in the country, Just a few miles from the airport in Guernsey. Excellent hotel centrally located and with a bus stop right outside the door. Only 15-20 minutes from St Peter Port and 5 from the airport. Great food supurb accommodation and the staff really are second to none, there is nothing they won't do for you. If you want a quite relaxing stay with every thing you could ever wish for then book a stay at The Farmhouse, you won't be disappointed.

Guernsey countryside stay

A very nice and beautifully situated hotel in the Guernsey countryside. Close to the airport. Convenient busstop for cheap access to town. We were also able to rent bikes during our stay, and had many memorable bike trips in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The clerk that checked us in (Diego??) really helped us a lot with our questions and bookings. We were very pleased.

Fantastic stay, great room, food and staff

Warm welcoming and staff couldnt do enough to help, advice and look after you to make our stay one to remember. The room was second to none and and the restaurant food was fantastic. Many additional perks with the room and staff were great at looking after us, giving advice on what to do when we had a raining day during our stay after seeing we planned to go to Herm. His advice was to go the next day when the weather was better and let him know and he would sort a picnic breakfast for us to take with us as we were unfortunately flying home later that day.
Overall I couldnt recommend this hotel more, wouldnt hesitate to return.

Lovely hotel, good position for exploring

A lovely three night stay. The walk in shower with two huge shower heads was great. The room was a little small for a twin and we could have done with a little more storage space. The asparagus salad lunch was especially delicious.

Best Guernsey hotel we have stayed in.

What an amazing hotel. Staff were all friendly and room was exceptional. Very close to airport but on a quiet road so didn't hear any traffic noise. Food at dinner and breakfast was very good and beautifully presented. Complimentary decanter of port and ground coffee and cafetière in our room were lovely touches, not forgetting the homemade shortbread butterfly biscuits. Can't wait to stay there again when we next return to Guernsey.

Luxury hotel in quiet surroundings

We chose this hotel on the basis of its location and the reviews we read.
On the whole it lived up to expectations.The preferences we required could be indicated in advance on a form sent to the hotel. Unfortunately this appeared to fail in our case, because there was no car to meet us at the airport-we phoned and were advised to find one ourselves which we quickly did. Then our request for a bowl of fruit in the room was not in place nor our newspaper preference, All relatively trivial and fairly quickly put right but not a good first impression.
The room was excellent with everything we could need.
We dined in on the first night, an excellent meal, if anything rather too big for us and our sweet was served divided into two portions which helped. On following days we made use of the smaller meals in the bar which suited us more.

Room with a without a view way over priced.

We were really dissatisfied with this hotel our room totally ruined our holiday for us. We were given a dark dingy room with a tiny window over looking a noisy extractor fan. We specifically asked to be placed near my elderly parents and they put us in the furthest room possible. When asked to be moved they said there was nothing they could do and to keep the window closed and use the air con. No good for me I am a severe asthmatic. No apology that we were unhappy or attempt to make us feel compensated. We paid £314 for 2 nights and this hotel was no way worth it.

The bathroom was nice and little extras like robes slippers soft cookies but they didn't make up for the dreadful view when we were expecting a lovely country garden view.

The food was ok but nothing special, and some of the staff were friendly.

The gardens are pretty but it is near a main road.

Beautiful boutique hotel

We stayed at The Farmhouse for a 3 night break. Our room was of a high standard with some nice touches like complimentary bottled water, decanter of port, toiletries, bath robe, bath towels bigger than I thought ever existed and a turn down service. All staff were extremely attentive. I would recommend this hotel.

Relaxing, contemporary boutique hotel

We were warmly welcomed and our room was made ready early as we arrived late morning. Lovely pleasantly landscaped gardens with gazebos and a glade of trees. Our room was spacious and had a large and powerful shower. The balcony only caught the sun as it was setting but it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy a complimentary filter coffee and freshly made biscuits.

Lovely setting, beautiful grounds

Recently stayed at this hotel and overall it is a great place to stay. Some days certain items on the breakfast menu were unavailable, having said that it is an extensive menu. My only beef was that the hotel had been booked exclusively for a wedding on our last day which meant we had to leave the hotel and go out for the day not even being allowed in apart from collecting our luggage late afternoon before going to the airport. I wouldn't have minded so much if the hotel staff had informed us of this either on booking or check in.
