We really enjoyed our stay here. We were here for three nights and four days. I picked this hotel based on the other reviews. I read about the hotel when we were trying to find a place to stay in Goreme. I really felt the reviews were all accurate and I have no regrets about staying here. The room was comfortable. It was just for myself and my adult daughter. The bed was a king size bed, and it was very comfortable. The room was very simple, but it was clean and the bathroom was clean as well. We did not stay in one of the actual cave rooms, but that was OK-I don’t feel that we missed out on anything. As stated in all the other reviews, the breakfast was really good. I like that all the breakfast is so healthy. Not something that you would find in a comparable American Hotel! We met a few of the other guests that were staying there and everybody was super nice. Leyla, the owner/manager of the hotel was our prime contact from when we made the booking. She was really fabulous. She set up our airport pick up and drop off. It was seamless and easy. The driver for that airport pick up and drop off was really nice. It was a very reasonable price-I believe €15 each. We booked ahead of time a hot air balloon ride and it was canceled. Upon arrival we talked to Leyla about this and she tried rebooking for us for the three mornings we were there. Unfortunately, bad conditions for a balloon ride. The next time we visit we will try again! A great stay-I recommend! Also, great location!

Well the people that run the hotel are amazing! The pleasant surprise was the upgrade from economy rooms to deluxe… the rooms were super cozy, clean, authentic decorated. The bedding was so soft. Everything that we needed we had. We had a beautiful view of air balloon attraction every morning from the terrace if the hotel. While city view is right there in front of you like on the palm of your hand. The breakfast was made with love. We were so close to everything in this beautiful town. The staff was there 24/7, they were helping booking all our transfers. They spoke perfect english! There is nothing i would change about our stay there. Would go back in a hart beat and stay with them again! ❤️❤️❤️

We booked there a budget room and that is what we get. Room and bathroom equipment was a really basic one. What this hotel makes exceptional is the staff, views from the hotels terrace and restaurant. I would like to mentioned the staff, especially the lady at reception who was helpful a lot with quite extensive explanation about the whole Cappadocia area. Her tips was quite valuable. The view from hotels terrace and restaurant was splendid. It was open to the whole Goreme valley and exceptionally fit to see it all over even with the Cappadocias highlight -> hot air balloons flowing over

Nice Place. No Frills. No AC. Had to ask for a fan. No Fridge. Fairly basic but it works. I think most of the places in Cappadocia may be like this unless you go high end. Staff was really nice. Close to all the restaurants and main area but it is up on a hill. So you do have to walk up an incline for a few minutes.

Otherwise, the only thing I really didnt like was that for my room, the washroom was super small. Too small. The faucet barely went over my sink. So I had to spit on my faucet to spit into my sink.

We staged in the hotel for one night with a little dog and absolutely loved it. The hotel has a very cozy and nicely decorated garden inside. Clean and spacious room with a white sheets. Terrace is amazing and allows you to watch the balloons in a warm and cold weather. Location of the hotel is great, right in downtown and all the restaurants and shops are 2-3 mins walking distance. Staff (Leila) is very welcoming and helpful! We felt like home there, thank you for that! We were super impressed by the sunrise and the balloons watching them from the terrace, no need to drive anywhere at 5 am or walk to the view point! Tea and coffee were available for free at all time, so we had a great photoshoot with the balloons right there in the hotel! No regrets!

We began planning 4 months before the trip. I sent the hotel a message and they answered quickly. After that, I exchanged information and asked a lot of questions. Leyla went above and beyond to answer all questions and accommodate us. She even arranged the balloon ride for us. She’s very friendly and would do anything to help you. We loved the property. The views of the area are magnificent. You can see the balloon event from their terrace. They have a very nice area to relax. Breakfast is good. The only thing was the road to get to the hotel which isn’t paved but it wasn’t a big deal. We’d stay in the hotel if we went back in the future. The customer service provide beats any other issue. Thank you, Leyla for your beyond excellent service.

Leyla & Soheil are THE BEST!!!

i was recently at Elysee Cave House for 4 nights. I was traveling with my cousin, Kevin. I have now visited 79 countries and I have stayed at lotsa lotsa places. Elysee was as good as it gets. WHY? Primarily because of Leyla, the staff person who not only checked us in but recommended and arranged ALL of our Activities there...... the Whirling Dervishes, the Balloon trip, the Turkish bath, the Green & Red Tours and the local restaurants. In addition, she arranged for our laundry to be done and our Taxi to get us to the airport for our departure. Leyla is smart, helpful, experienced, 100% English-fluent, pleasant and beautiful! Oh, and there is more. Leyla's husband, Soheil, prepares the (included) breakfast, does anything you might ask of him and also rescued us when we jammed the key in our door and couldn't get into our room, I would return to Elysee Cave House in a heartbeat. I loved the hotel and their staff. Amazing person Laila and her husband are running the hotel and they assisted me from begainjng to an end. Laila speaks multiple languages and reserved all of my tours including hot air ballon which made our life and trip relaxing. Ok. I’m going to be honest. I had high hopes for this hotel because of the reviews. The initial drive up was a huge disappointment. It’s up a dirt hill, with falling down buildings and dumpsters. Once inside the property it was very very well maintained. The receptionist was so very helpful and kind. The garden and patio areas were kept beautifully. The breakfast was very good. Here’s the problem I had… the rooms! The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in at any hotel in any country. We had two rooms with 6 beds total and they were all the same. There is no air conditioning and our one room had no windows so very stuffy. The bathrooms are in need of updating and cleaning. So while some aspects were great, the real need in a hotel is sleeping. This was difficult due to the beds.

We stayed at Elysee cave hotel for 2 nights. Our stay was absolutely fabulous. The rooms are big, cozy, clean and spacious. Leyla is a best hostess. She is very welcoming, supportive and sweet. The breakfast is good, they have a nice roof top with a good view to watch the hot air balloons. The hotel is very near to the main road and other restaurants so you don’t have to walk much. The overall environment is very homely and comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Capadocia!

Elysee Cave Hotel REALLY is not a cave.
Avoid this place at all costs, they lie and the room is different than the photos pictured.
I booked this thinking that I would be staying in a cave hotel.
It is a Hotel inside a building and not a cave.
I was supposed to get a bottle of wine for free upon check-in and I did not.
The manager, Sadat was very pushy about trying to sell a balloon tour for $220 which I ended up getting for $180.
They texted me several times and upon checking in as I was exhausted from a 12 hour bus ride so I didn’t want to be asked about that right then.
I wanted my bottle of wine to relax in my room with my bottle of wine that I was promised when booking the room.

there’s no air conditioner or a simple fan in my room and there’s also no ventilation.
I had to open up the window and deal with bugs flying in.
The internet was like 1990’s 56k and didn’t work at all in my room.

there’s mold in the bathroom

The breakfast was supposed to be served at 8 o’clock in the morning it was not.
The milk was not cold but Luke warm and a little sour, I had diarrhea and stomach pains throughout the day.

It was served at 8:30 and annoyed a couple of other tourists there was other may be 12 other people that weren’t happy.
Some people like myself have plans and time is crucial.
On my second day to stay they weren’t even open at 8:30 in the morning and I had to leave, without an apology or my wine.

We enjoyed our stay here. Laila was absolutely the sweetest, most welcoming and helpful host we encountered in our Turkey trip after booking about a dozen hotels. We wanted the cave experience and this met our expectation. The view from the terrace was beautiful and so convenient. I wouldn’t change a thing. Only con feedback I would like to share would be for fans to be available by request. Since there was no AC it got a little warm at certain times in the room. Overall one of our favorite stays in Turkey. Thank you!!!

This is a good property to stay while visiting this part of Turkey. Internet coverage is not very good all over the area. Please have the staff reset the router if it does not work for you. We stayed without wifi for about a day before the staff reset the router. Please be careful eating fruit at breakfast of this hotel as it appears they freeze and reuse. Apples and peaches were rotten. Otherwise great view and well located.

In my recent 21 days trip to Turkiye, I stayed in 7 different hotels in different cities. Some of these hotels were quite luxury, some in best possible location, but Elysee Cave House provided the best experience and best time for me and my family. This hotel is very clean. The breakfast is amongst the best breakfasts I had in Turkiye. Rooms are spacious. Beds are very comfortable. There are multiple balconies, where you can seat and relax and see the town and see the hot air balloons rising at dawn. You might experience all the above in some other hotels too, so what makes this hotel better than others is the hotel management and staff. Elysee Cave House is managed by two beautiful souls (Laila and Sohail) who helped us with everything. They were very friendly and quite professional. Their knowledge of Cappadocia region is exceptional. Their advice on what to see was invaluable. Thank you guys from all of us. I certainly recommend staying in this beautiful hotel and I will stay there if I get a chance to visit Goreme again.

This is my 2nd time going to Elysse Cave House and it's because of the service and they are dog friendly. The staff is amazing, the receptionist is really really nice, they really care for this clients. Their motto is our hotel is your hotel. They treat you like at home.

It was my daughter's Birthday weekend when we went there and I asked the front desk to buy her a cake and they did....I was a delicious one. They really know how to treat their clients. The owner is super nice as well.

Thank you for making my last time in Cappadocia a memorable one and I will miss you guys and the beautiful Cappadocia.♥️

Very nice property, the staff is nice and it was pet friend which was important to me as I had a 5 month old puppy. There was a puppy on the premises as well which was good for us as it entertained my dog.

Breakfast was really good, and fresh. You could have water, tea or coffee anytime you wanted which was very nice.

Excellent choice for winter visits to Goreme ; the breakfast/ cafe/ restaurant room on the rooftop has a big stove and great views - there’s an extensive terrace as well, and another glassed rooftop relaxing room. The budget level bedroom I was given was adequate, the heating was on but never more than warm ( air temp. was around -3 some mornings) and the shower and bathroom door were both cranky ... but these are small things compared to the excellent features of the place, and the keen- edged and helpful staff. Get an upgraded room and you’ll enjoy
this stone-walled hotel, a civilised and welcoming accommodation house.

Warm staying in Cave House

We really like the time of our stay in this cave house. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Especially Sena was always responsive and make our stay like home. From this place restaurant & market is just in walking distance. Initially we were tended about the heating of cave house but it was so warm inside the hotel that we never felt that we are staying in a cave hotel.
We would highly recommend you to stay in this hotel.

Wonderful! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us book tours, transportation and even gave us dinner when we checked in really late. The whole hotel decor is magnificent! Very cozy; lovely carpets, courtains, paintings and furniture. The room was very spacious and comfortable. AC, TV, closet, desk, tea/coffee electric pot and amenities included. Shower and sink water pressure we’re ideal; Definitely would stay here time and time again!

A nice place where you can stay!

The host was super kind, helped us better understand the area and booked us the balloon flight + a tour.

The room was clean, as was the bathroom, the shower has a small defect, but the other aspects made up for it.

The terrace is great, it makes all the money!

I highly recommend this place, located quite close to the central area.

This is the place where you should stay

Impressive family friendly hotel (my kids would call it \"our cave\") in Goreme, well located to visit and just enjoy unique Capadoccia! I haven't met for a while anyone nicer than Selma. You will just feel at home, and privileged.

Wonderful hotel

We stayed in the family room which was very spacious. The shower was huge and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was fantastic on the roof top terrace where the balloons floated by. Parking was tight but not a problem. There was always a place to park nearby if the spots in front were full. We walked everywhere for shopping and restaurants. So many choices. We give this a solid 10 rating!

Great!

Sena at reception was fantastic. She was always willing to help with a smile. Breakfast was varied, fresh, and tasty. The outdoor areas were lovely with beautiful flowers and great views - especially the upper terrace, which was perfect for viewing all the hot air balloons going up.

Beautiful Boutique hotel

Beautiful hotel, nice terrace area with views from the front and back of the hotel. Tea and coffee available 24hours at no charge, beds comfy we slept well, nice location and 5 minute walk to restaurants, atm, supermarket etc Sena is lovely and friendly.
