Step right up, folks, and behold the marvel that is... an average hotel! I went in hoping for a relaxing break; what I got was a dramatic feature film titled The Quest for a Non-Wet Toilet.
The Battle for Basic Service
The moment I approached the desk, it was clear that my needs were secondary to the thrilling office romance unfolding before me. The receptionist was too busy auditioning for the lead in \"Hotel Flirt\" to give me the time of day. When I finally managed to grab their attention, it wasn't to offer a helpful tip but to aggressively try and pawn off overpriced tours. I felt like I needed to check my pockets for a hidden sales pitch.
My request to have the broken head shower fixed was clearly translated as \"Please ignore this guest completely.\" It remained broken for the duration of my stay—a testament to the hotel's commitment to basic human neglect.
The Room of Horrors (and Cramped Spaces)
Oh, the view! Instead of azure skies or a bustling cityscape, my window offered a majestic vista of... an unfinished, abandoned house. It was like living next door to a post-apocalyptic movie set, which really did a number on the vacation vibe.
And then there was the pièce de résistance: the bathroom. This architectural marvel managed to defy physics by placing the toilet virtually inside the shower. Every time I showered, it was a full-contact water sport. The poor toilet was drowned daily.

Very good hotel, the manager did her best to accomodate us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The swimming pool was a nice touch and breakfast was good. I would suggest it to anyone.

Location is everything. Heybe is very well located for restaurants and shopping. Hotel breakfast is good, but the coffee is terrible. Nice bar in the front garden, but no restaurant in the hotel. Indoor pool is nice—wish it were outdoor. Excellent massages. Excellent manager Ms Zeynep—smart, kind, understanding and helpful above and beyond regarding lost luggage and tour suggestions

The location was great very close to the hot air balloon launch area in Goreme. The front desk guys were amazing and booked transportation and a day tour, very pleasant and excellent customer service! The rooftop with buffet breakfast and view were simply amazing! Hotel is bit outdated but enjoyable!

The hotel is on a quiet street less than 5 minutes from the centre of Goreme. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Rooms are a little small and we found there weren’t enough plug points for 2 of us. The room was also a little dark there is very little lighting. Indoor pool is lovely. Breakfast is plentiful snd fresh. We enjoyed our stay

I had booked this hotel on the basis that there was a safe advertised as being within the room. Upon checking in I could not find a safe in the room. I called reception to verify and they advised there is no safe. They said they would follow up with their manager (which they did not). The room itself was small and the bathroom smaller. It was outdated even though Expedia noted that it was recently renovated. I would not stay here again - don’t waste your time or your money.

I highly recommend this hotel

I am very happy with my stay. The property is located on the strip with shoppibg and many restaurants just steps away. Having a spa on the premises was a deciding factor for my stay here as I wanted to experience a Turkish bath. The staff were friendly and helpful,l the room was spacious quiet and clean. The included breakfast is not to be missed. The cook to order egg station was quite a hit. The activities that can be booked through reception are quality and not at all tourist traps so you can book with confidence. I highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is located in the city centre so it was convenient to walk to the shops and find restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly as well.

However, the pool was closed as it was too cold and the facilities were very outdated. It's an older hotel so it was not as nice as I would have hoped. The rooms are very tiny as well, with no closet.

It was a nice stay, and you can take pictures on the roof but there is not a big clear view of the hot air balloons and the valleys.

Would stay in a newer, different hotel for my next trip to Goreme.

Nice and modern hotel. However there is no sauna or Turkish bath as it was stated. As understood it has been under maintenance for some time, so do not expect it to have for free (it was available only for an additional price in the spa section).
Must admit that breakfast and location are perfect.

We arrived at about 6pm after our tour, and was led to our room in which when we entered, it wasn't cleaned up or prepared. So we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for them to clean up. There wasn't any other room they could give and seems like the room given to us was one of the last and the back end of the hotel where laundry and storage were at. But overall they have apologized and treated us well with good smiles and personalised services. Location was superb with balloons flying close to us on the balcony. Good shots of it. Breakfast was also very good with superb selection.

The hotel is literally five minute walk from the Goreme Otogar. Therefore easy to get to. The hotel is in a modern Ottoman style. But it is a bit of a gimmick in that it has a swimming pool, steam room and sauna. But they are very small. The sauna was just luke warm. The room I was given is a room behind the reception so very noisy. Also the bathroom was very small and it was difficult to have a shower- which was just a shower head attached to the wall. The staff were very friendly and did organise the hot air balloon ride, the Red and Green Tours and twirling dervishes on request. However they did charge a premium eg 20 Euros for 1 hour twirling dirvishes show- which wasn't even genuine and was just put on for the tourists. The breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks. Overall not the greatest experience as there were better hotels further along.

Overall the place was clean. Staff may offer you tea/ coffee during check in. Tours can be booked onsite. If there's one thing that I could recall here is that the WIFI is terrible. No wifi on the third floor and even the Lobby and Main Wifi will connect but you can't obtain IP Address or no Internet access. On a side note, Hamam onsite is good. Breakfast is amazing.

Enjoyable Stay!

I stayed at Hotel Golden Horn for 1 night as part of an Intrepid tour and also extended my stay after the tour was over.

I found this hotel to be in an excellent and safe neighbourhood and I was a solo female traveler walking every where. It is close to the Orient express station, a police station, many shops & restaurants, Topkapi Palace and Sultanamet. It is walking distance to all of the main sites in other words.

The rooms were small, but comfortable and clean.

The views from the upstairs \"happy hour\" lounge was a pleasant surprise! Do not hesitate to visit the 5th floor just to take some beautiful shots of the Bosphorous and Istanbul skyline. The staff was excellent, courteous and professional. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to any traveler looking to explore the beautiful city of Istanbul.

Heybe hotel experience

We enjoyed our two nights at the Heybe hotel. It was easy to find. The management was willing to move my mother to a ground floor room (from a 3rd floor room) so that she wouldn't have to climb so many stairs. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our bathroom shower configuration allowed for lots of water to spill on to the floor which made the floor slippery and dangerous to walk on. Other than that, the bathroom was fine. Especially appreciated the heating bars on the wall that worked nicely to heat the towels. The only criticism would be of the lounge area on the ground floor next to the lobby. The uniquely carved reading nooks were nice to sit in but were too dark in the evening -- need better lighting in those areas. Very much appreciate the self-serve coffee,tea and wine bar.

Such a cute old fashioned hotel! And for a good price. The wifi is very slow. The breakfast is beautiful and you have a great view of the caves and scenery of cappadocia. Staff was very friendly. The room isn't very bad, old fashioned with one of those remote controlled A/Cs, I only stayed one day it might have started to get annoying if I stayed longer. The staff also picked up these adorable kittens and took care of them and they stayed upstairs in the outside breakfast area. So adorable! Cute hotel and nice atmosphere

We had a wonderful 3 days at Heybe. Even before arriving, the staff were helpful with advice given via email. We arrived late at night, but were greeted warmly. All staff were fantastic. Breakfasts were amazing!!! They were the best we had in our travels. Staff arranged tours for us and recommended excellent restaurants to eat at. The location of the hotel was ideal.

This hotel made a great base for our week in Goreme. VERY clean and a particularly good breakfast. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We were here in the spring so it was also nice to have a warm and cozy room to return to after a long day's hike. Originally we booked for four nights, but we liked it here so much we extended our stay to a week!

We were given a suite, which was large, clean, and appealing. The location is very good - walking distance to the main street, close to local sites. The service was exceptional, maybe the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. And the cost was very reasonable and less than half the cost of a cave hotel we considered.

We were still on our way to nevsher from Bodrum and we called up the reception to inform them abt the late check in and they were most happy to advice us the direction and send a taxi to the bus station. We have struggled in different places as people do not speak English. Here we never had any problem. We checked in by midnight 12. once we were up in the morning, we were surprised to see a beautiful, well laid breakfast for the guests. After traveling from Istanbul to bodrum to effisus, this was the best breakfast served..... All other places just served the basics... The pool is very good and very inviting....
The staff are the best..... This is hotel has a service of a 5 star!!!!!

By far the best staff I have ever seen

I have travelled for business for over 20 years and stayed in hundreds of hotels, the staff in this particular hotel are the best I have ever seen. It’s obvious they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay in their hotel and in Goreme.
From the second you enter the hotel, they take a welcome drink to your hotel, and after that they make sure everything is ok for your experience.
Location is literally 100 meters from the Goreme bus station, and even then, they drove us in their free shuttle to the bus station because of our luggage. Location is next to central Goreme and you can walk to anywhere in Goreme.
They have a free shuttle to take you anywhere within the local area, including to the next town, where you can hike back if you want.
They drove us to the Goreme open air museum (which is walking distance) and even gave us a local phone that we can use to call them to pick us back up, which they did.
Hotel room is in very good condition, mattress is great, real king size is available
Rooms are very clean, everything works as expected.
Soaps, shampoos, towels are all in good condition.
Sound insulation between the rooms is great.
Breakfast is great, fresh, and you can custom order things like omelettes and other hot foods.
Wifi worked like a charm.

Very nice hotel in a desireable location

I arrived at the hotel around 8 am in the morning, the staff there helped me to carry the luggage to the office since my room was not ready yet, then guided me to the cafeterial for breakfast.
The manage Filiz gave me a cell phone to call in case I got lost or needed a ride to somewhere when she learnt I wanted to explore the area by myself.
Samet and Sami gave me rides to the Open air museum, the beautiful Love valley, red valley and picked me up from Passage when I finished the long amazing hike there.
And the other staff there , sorry ,I cant remember your names :-( they offered me hot Turkish tea when I was sitting in the lobby or balcony...
I'm very much impressed by their extraordinary services . I was treated like family !

Also, the unique designs of the lobby and the room are unforgetable, as well as the lovely view from the balcony...

Cuz upstair was dining facility for breakfast. So every morning I had to woke up because of chair dragging sounds. Breakfast was just so so. No hot foods.

Great base for discovering the area

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely hotel and used it as our base for discovering Ephesus and Pamukkale. Upon our arrival, we were greeted professionally and were given advice for tours/restaurants to use. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the tea-time with the freshly-baked cookies as we were able yo hang out with other guests and just chill . The location was convenient as it was very close to the Bazar district of Kusadasi. The villa yard is excellent if you wanted time to relax. The breakfast was Ok.

We stayed at the Heybe for three nights at the end of May 2013. Manager Filiz and her staff were fantastic and nothing was a bother. Our room was great and the service fantastic. The location was great, only 300 metres from the centre of town with some good restaurants even closer. Car parking was available at the front of the hotel. As an added bonus Filiz met us after walks in surrounding locations around Goreme and drove us back to the hotel or drove us to the start point for other walks. Our stay was a great travel experience and we strongly recommend the Heybe,

Excellent Location, Smaller-than-average rooms

We booked our stay at the Heybe Hotel fairly last minute and were pleased with our accommodations. The hotel is just a few minutes away from downtown Göreme. We arrived a bit later in the afternoon, around the time most of the museums would be closing, but we still filled our evening with little shops and an excellent dinner at the Sedef restaurant (which I highly recommend). The staff happily accommodated our late checkout, we enjoyed the indoor pool, and the breakfast was more than adequate. The rooms were on the small side, but did the job. Our particular room only had one outlet (that we could find), but our travel buddies said that they had a couple more--just something to be aware of if you have several things to charge (and perhaps mention to reception if another room would work better?) We were able to fit our pack-n-play and small suitcase in the bedroom, but two adults couldn't stand comfortably in the bathroom (unless, I suppose, one were to stand in the shower). As long as we're just a family of 3 with an infant, I can see us returning to this hotel.

El hotel es precioso, tiene lo necesario para pasar unos días, puedes ir andando a tiendas, restaurantes, etc. Si madrugas, los globos se ven desde la terraza. El desayuno está muy bien y tienen tostador.

Magnifique Cappadoce

Pas de vue sur les cheminées de fée (Stone Twin Room), mais cet hôtel confortable présente d'autres avantages : spa, massages, bains turcs (dont nous n'avons pas profité), et piscine intérieure agréable.
L'accueil est agréable et la chambre correcte

Very good hotel : nicely decorated, good size rooms, AC, good beds, delicious breakfast and amazing swimming pool !
A few minutes walk from dowtown Gorem, easy access to restaurants and shops, bus station and 20mn walk from the Gorem Open Air museum.

Mooi hotel, met normale goede kamers. Uitstekend personeel qat alles regelt voor je en je entjes een whatsapp met bevestiging stuurt.
Reataurant en winkels liggen letterlijk om de hoek, maar toch is het rustig bij het hotel.

Cet hôtel est parfaitement situé dans la ville de Goreme (2min à pied de la gare de bus). Le personnel est accueillant, gentil, disponible et arrangeant (merci aux deux jeunes femmes de l'accueil et au jeune homme du bar).

La piscine est splendide, le petit déjeuner est un buffet immense et il y a plein d'activités en extra à disposition.

Boa Hospedagem

O hotel em si é bom ,boa infraestrutura, salão, terraço para café da manhã, piscina e spa anexo. Boa localização, próximo de um centrinho com muitas lojas e restaurantes.
Única sugestão é troca das camas, que são moles, imagino devido ao estado de uso. No demais, muito bom, café da manhã farto e bom atendimento.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und empfangen. Am Swimingpool kann man gut den Tag ausklingen lassen. Frühstück war top. In unserem Zimmer waren leider zu wenig Steckdosen.

직원분들이 항상 친절했습니다. 그리고 호텔에서 제공하는 조식도 매우 훌륭했습니다.호텔에서 시내까지의 거리도 가까워서 매우 좋았고, 버스터미널 , 시내까지 이동하기에
최적의 장소였습니다. 하지만 청소 상태는 별로였고, 전체적인 시설은 낡았습니다. 하지만 수영장등의 편의 시설이 있어 가격 대비 만족감이 있는 호텔이었습니다.
