When you dream of Cappaddocia this hotel is what you imagine. We stayed in a cave suite and what an experience! Gorgeous soft lighting with space that made you forget you were under the ground! The bathroom amenities and free standing bath are lovely touches. The pool area was another highlight. After a day of wandering the local area to have this idyllic space with sauna was ideal. The position of the hotel is perfectly poised to explore all Goreme has to offer. The restaurant overlooks the village and the food is of a high quality. My only question over this hotel being perfect was the breakfast. Having travelled from Istanbul and onto Antalya the spread at breakfast could be improved. The inclusion of more juices, labelling of items (I'm vegetarian and it wasn't always clear of what got options I could have) and the fact the sweets table never varied was the only minor let down. Everything about the hotel screams oppulence apart from this. With small tweaks I truly believe this could be a 5 star hotel!

Great spot as so close to the main road with restaurants, shops and just a walk up to su site point to watch the balloons. Great service from start to finish as front desk provided good info and arranged out transport to and from the airport for a very reasonable $. Thanks to Fatima as she served us wonderful Turkish coffee, tea and breakfast with a welcome smile every day to start our day.

Nice clan rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast spread was gorgeous and the restaurant had great lunch. Alas the air conditioning wasn’t working when we there in March and the room was boiling. Staff was briefly able to turn it on for us but it then turned off suddenly which led to us waking up in the middle of the night due to our room collecting all the heat from the floors below.

The pool was nice but we had to walk on the streets briefly to access as the whole hotel is not directly connected. It’s close but not connected. Otherwise happy with the room and ammenities. Staff were generally helpful apart from a guy at reception who didn’t know that technicians could change the settings of the AC from hot to cold in the winter season. Shoutout to the woman at reception who did that for us. This stay would have been 5/5 if they didn’t keep on fiddling with the temperature in the room. We couldn’t sleep on the first night or last night due to the heat.

The cave room was incredibly unique and beautifully designed with a modern touch. As an added bonus, we really enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and sauna, which were perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Each morning we looked forward to breakfast at the top of the hotel. The food was excellent, and the views were absolutely stunning. This stay truly added to our overall experience and made our trip to Cappadocia even more special.

We visited for our honeymoon, and we truly had an amazing experience.
They prepared a lovely celebratory cake for us and warmly welcomed us from the moment we were picked up at the airport.

Our main purpose was to ride a hot-air balloon, and they helped us with the reservation and kept us updated at all times, including informing us when the flight had to be canceled due to bad weather. Their hospitality was exceptional.

Thanks to them, we were able to enjoy the perfect honeymoon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carus Cappadocia, and would love to come back. The rooms were cozy and luxurious, and we loved the extra touches like exfoliating mitts, bathrobes, and ceramic espresso cups. The hotel staff were very helpful and arranged a few bookings for us, and even sent a cab to pick us up after a short hike. We concluded that the terrace has the best view in town, from enjoying morning coffee with a kitten to wine by the fire at night. Five stars!!

We stayed at the Carus Cappadocia for one night on our visit to the area. The hotel is built into a cave. Our room was comfortable and the service was good. The Turkish Breakfast they serve has so many choices. It was fresh and good. The hotel is close to the minaret of a mosque so you will hear the call to prayer in the morning.

We had booked a room for one night. There was no air conditioning and we were told that in the night it will only be heat mode and we could open the window if we wanted it colder. The window faced the street and we couldn’t sleep until 2ish since the people walking in thw streets were loud. We had a friend booked into another room in the same property and they had the same issues. The pictures on Expedia said the room had a terrace .. yes it did but it was a shared one and access was from outside the room. So couldn’t use it.
The bathroom was very small and cramped and the toiletries were bad. Good thing we carried our own stuff. The staff was rude. We were given 4 bottles of water for one day and we asked for extra bottles at the reception the next day morning since it was so hot and we drank all the four bottles. They said they have to look and never gave us one.. we were ready to pay but they never even gave us that option.
The check in time is 2 pm and our luggage never reached the room until late evening when we had to remind them.
The place is walkable to nearby restaurants and shopping places which was a saving grace. Overall did not enjoy our stay as we ended up with almost no sleep.

This hotel was honestly fantastic in every way that I can imagine. The location is perfectly central, although you could be up on top of the hill, possibly with better views. But the rooftop view, where the restaurant is located, is genuinely spectacular. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic. The service at the restaurant is so friendly, it’s almost over the top. The photos from the rooftop pool, lounges, and restaurant are world class. The room was great, with a great bed, a good bathroom, good shower. I would definitely stay here again.

Carus Cappadocia Hotel is a beautiful cave hotel in the centre of Goreme. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooftop restaurant is excellent with amazing views over the town and the geological structures. Our room had a balcony which we were able to use and sit in the sunshine. Highly recommended.

Restaurant lets the hotel down

Hotel was okay for the price, considering they’ve branded themselves as “luxury” we were expecting more.
The biggest thing that lets them down is the restaurant upstairs. They play cheap music very loud, late into the night. We had a room that was far from the restaurant and still kept us up. We wanted to enjoy a Fanta on the restaurant terrace since it was connected to the hotel at around 4pm before getting ready for dinner. We were told we couldn’t order water (we had to get water from hotel reception) and was hit with a service charge on 2 soft drinks. None of this is end of the world but considering the hotel and restaurant are together, this doesn’t scream luxury!

We ate in the restaurant one night and it was fine again. Very overpriced for Goreme, we had tastier meals for less.

Hotel staff at reception were amazing, they were always on hand to help.

Overall a pleasant stay, there were things in the room that had become tired. You could tell the hotel is 5 years old and things are starting to need updating.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carus. The location could not have been better, it is a close to all the shops and restaurants. The terraces were a highlight, with beautiful views of the hot air balloons in the morning and stunning sunsets in the evening. The staff made the experience even better, especially Fatma at breakfast. She was always warm and attentive, making sure each morning started off great.

This hotel, the staff and its location were amazing. This is a great option if you’re planning to stay in Göreme. Room was spacious, neat, clean, comfortable bed, nice city view. Breakfast buffet has a great variety of fresh and delicious options. This hotel has probably the best rooftop in all of Cappadocia with 360 degree city view and also a great location to enjoy seeing the hot balloons flying all over the city every morning. I will definitely recommend this hotel, no doubt about it.
Stores and restaurants near by, walking distance 5-10 mins.
I visited from Houston with my wife.

My experience here was top tier! The hotel did not disappoinment. The check in was seemless! They allowed us to check into the hotel prior to check -in time! This helped alot because we were exhausted from travel! The staff more than accomadating and very helpful! They provided a suggested itinerary and with some minor adjustments we definitely got the most out of our stay there! Would definitely return!

The value was very good and the breakfast choices at their rooftop restaurant abundant. The property has a beautiful indoor cave area pool and sauna which we did not use. It has a few open air roof decks and beautiful courtyards from which to enjoy the scenery of Goreme. The bed was comfortable. The staff is attentive and kind. All in all a great experience.

The only downsides were some aspects of our room… hot water was warm and not hot, the AC blows directly on the bed so it was difficult to get comfortable, the safe was too tiny to hold anything larger then a passport, and there were too few working outlets (adapters would fall out of some of the outlet) that worked for recharging laptops and phones for two people. These issues may have only existed in our room. While inconvenient, these issues would not put us off from recommending the property. It is a good property with a great breakfast, amenities and location.

May 20 check in the afternoon evening we went for dinner at the hotel restaurant! We finished dinner and my husband asked for his jacket which the restaurant staff had taken to put at the back while we had dinner. For some reason, initially the staff could not locate the jacket and it is fine, we were patient about it and told them to check maybe in the back somewhere. Then all of a sudden, another staff working at the restaurant entered the conversation and started saying that we are lying and
That my husband never brought the jacket. He said that he can show us in the cctv. He was extremely rude to us and specially me. It was a big scene in front of 50 plus guests. I asked the person if he was joking and he specifically said he was NOT. Anyways, in the meantime other staff members located the jacket and brought it to us. I asked the aggressive waiter politely may I know your name , at which point he completely lost it. He came up close to me and evaded personal space showing his badg

The other staff had to intervene and pull him away
And took us ouy
I can obviously not stay at a property after such threatening and aggressive behavior. I truly believe our safety was at risk and we decided to change the hotel
The reception staff said they would reach out to us but to this day there has been no communication

I would expect Expedia takes this very seriously
And just so you know i am so traumatized by all this

We had room 50. I was expecting a stone room but ours was wood and very dark. The lighting was poor.
We were close to the terrace and outdoor restaurant and the music was loud on occasions and we needed to ring reception one nigh to turn it down as we had a 3.45am start.
We were underneath the bar area and had to put up with metal chairs scaping on the ground above us at all hours.
The bed and pillows were comfortable and a robe and slippers were supplied together with toiletries which were replaced every day.
The hotel is ideally located for balloon watching. They fly over the hotel.

A hotel worthy of 5 stars. I had an excellent stay at the Carus Cappadocia hotel. It's well located (in the center of town and close to restaurants and stores).

The spa: The spa section is breathtaking (don't forget to bring your swimsuit). The pool is heated and it's a quiet place. Perfect for relaxing. There's also a sona.

Room: I had a noise problem with my room (next to the street and under the restaurant) and they offered me another one the next morning.

Restaurant: The restaurant has a breathtaking view of Göreme. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of cheeses, vegetables, olives, salads, pastries, breads and omelettes. The restaurant also offers a variety of coffees.

I had excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel.

Tip: if you're sensitive to noise, ask for a room away from the street and the restaurant. Room 50 is very quiet :)

I stayed for two nights at Carus Capadoccia and really loved the place and the room.

The staff were great, especially the restaurant staff where I ate breakfast and dinner both days.

I stayed in the Carus Suite which was very spacious and comfortable.

I’d definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it for anyone visiting Capadoccia.

If you’re not staying in the hotel, then I highly recommend dining at the restaurant.

The room was lovely, the only downfall was that the TV wasn’t a smart TV, but that wasn’t really a major problem or concern throughout our stay, it would have been nice but again no big deal! The restaurant breakfast was out of this world, I don’t even usually eat breakfast but got up every day just to enjoy the beautiful cuisine they served! The hotel itself was stylish and clean, staff were kind/helpful and made our experience very pleasant. This is a very unique property. It is not a your typical hotel. The rooms are built on a hill and layout rooms are spread around several levels around caves.

We got a classic cave room and it came with a big tub and separate shower and toilet. They give you 2 free bottled water per day and nespresso coffee is refilled daily.

My husband and I stayed at Carus for 2 nights and it was amazing. Such a warm welcome by the staff - they even arranged a hot air balloon for us last minute (via Brother Ballon - which we also recommend). The room was so unique but had all elements of a luxury hotel (slippers, robes, Nespresso). Breakfast was also delicious. The location is wonderful as we were able to walk around the town for lunch and dinner. Pool and sauna are a bit small but maintained very well.

A lovely hotel with great amenities but I was in the second to last room that had no views and was quite dark. Also there was a generator behind the room that hummed constantly so sleep was not easy and I could also hear music and traffic that passed behind the end of the hotel. Getting heavy luggage up and down will be a challenge. Staff were okay, some were better than others.

The beautiful hotel was very impressive and met our needs. The staff was very helpful, and we were particularly impressed with Fatma as our breakfast server, the woman who greeted us on each of the three occasions when we had dinner at the Carus and the dinner staff in general. Surprisingly, the hotel had no laundry service which forced us to ask around town for suggestions. The laundry guy that we located did an excellent job for only 700 lira, but when I recommended him to one of the night clerks the clerk told me that the Carus does not partner with outside companies. I found this to be odd and inconvenient for a hotel of Carus’ quality. A minor point, but there was an annoying banging sound whenever we opened the bathroom door and it collided with the wall. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay at the Carus.

The hotel is central and in the heart of the town. That’s what we loved most. Property is lovely , love the rooftop but doesn’t have that photo seat with all the rugs and pillows - wish they can do that as it will only bring it even more in light.

Want to note is that pls check the rooms you want as the pictures on hotel.com are not clear and hard to note if the room has specific things you are looking for. Additionally hotel.com sometimes isn’t showing the latest inventory of rooms so best to check with the hotel as well.

Staff could be a bit more connected on things- had some issues in our booking and the understanding wasn’t clear which created confusion.

Breakfast was great - we loved Fatma who served us! She is amazing!

Highly recommend Carus Hotel. Great location, comfortable room with outdoor sitting area . Rooftop terrace was a great place to drink coffee and watch the balloons . Staff was great, loved the indoor pool. Ended up staying two extra days.

Great location for walking in the main area. Front desk friendly but not very helpful with arrangements. Asked if they could call a local laundry service
but said he didn’t know it. We found the number immediately.
Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.
Make sure to ask for a room that is not directly below the restaurant .

We had a wonderful stay at Carus. I was impressed by the customer service, not only was service related to the hotel great, but also they were so helpful in booking other services including airport transfers, hot air balloon rides and various tours of the sites in the area. Hotel staff also honored the Expedia VIP benefits without me having to ask, which I greatly appreciated. Views from the room and rooftop were amazing. Dining at hotel rooftop is limited and very European style, but there are many dining options in town within walking.
