Wonderful hosts, fantastic location with stunning views and a beautiful garden right on the river. Although the road is very close, it was quiet at night so no problem sleeping. Loved every minute.

Without hyperbole, this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The view out the back of the building—the Wye twisting into the West, flanked by lush green hills—is jaw-dropping. I couldn’t believe it. I took dozens of pictures at different times of day, wanting my loved ones back home to see what I was seeing, but of course, the pics didn’t do the view justice. The guesthouse is also a short drive into Hay, where the walk along the river is lovely, and the bookshops are really fun to visit. The hosts of the guesthouse were friendly and warm. The *only* downside was that the hosts’ cat, Bramble—spotted in the backyard—was too shy to say hi.

Wonderful stay!\"

The Guesthouse was beautifully appointed, and the views from all windows over the river, very special. We had a Loft room, with King Bed, that was really spacious including a lounge, table n chairs. The owners were very helpful and friendly and served an amazing breakfast. Dinner twice up the road at the Harp Inn was great.

Lovely guesthouse in a beautiful location

Lovely guesthouse with beautiful views and friendly staff. We had a great stay in a very comfortable, modernly decorated room. The house was old and traditional with lots of original character but updated to give a cosy, warm homely feel. We will definitely be back!!!

Our hosts were very welcoming.
Beautiful grand hallway and staircase: we really felt we were going somewhere!
The twin room we were in was clean and pleasant with its own private hallway. The bathroom was large and clean. I enjoyed a lovely hot shower.
The dining room was triple aspect with, not one, but two chandeliers. Views over the River Wye and to the fields and hills beyond.
Excellent selection for breakfast: a buffet of cereals, fruit and yoghurts and toast and preserves and hot food you choose the evening before.

We thoroughly recommend this accomodation in a lovely house situated beside the Wye.. We had room #1, with beautiful views of the river. Extremely hospitable staff/owner, well appointed room, ample parking, an excellent breakfast. Also, Foyles restaurant nearby does good evening meals.

I stayed here for one night whilst on a business trip, the hosts were extremely friendly & welcoming. The premises were beautiful & the views outstanding! The only thing I would mention (& it’s completely my fault as I booked in a rush) is the room didn’t have an en-suite, the bathroom was across the hallway & even though it was solely for my use I would have preferred an en-suite. The breakfast was first class, you need to pre order the night before, this is all carefully explained when you’re shown to your room. It was extremely hot & the hosts had bought fans, one of which was assembled & left outside my room for me whilst I was at dinner.

Lovely B&B- by the river Wye and on a main road - which isn’t too busy. Excellent service and delightful breakfast. As we were staying for the Hay Festival location very convenient - 4 mile drive or 100 yard walk to shuttle bus stop.

Amazing Aberllynfi!!!

Tina and Dave are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Running a hotel/b& b or guest house is a very stressful occupation to choose and I take my hat off to anyone who chooses to do so.

B and B with lots of character!

This BnB is in a beautiful old house a few minutes’ drive from Hay-on-Wye. Though it is located near the road (and therefore easy to find), the nicely-decorated king room we booked was quiet as it was facing the river with lovely views across the countryside. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were very clean. Note that all the rooms are upstairs, up a lovely original oak staircase. On the ground floor is the garden room, where breakfast is served with nice views. There is also lounge seating here for those wanting a break from their room, and there are tables and chairs outside with river views. The owners are friendly, helpful and efficient hosts who serve a delicious breakfast included in the tariff. Parking is available in an onsite carpark, and the wifi connected easily and worked well in both our room and the lounge. There are several eating places nearby in the village.

Very accommodating with great view

The first thing that stood out to us was the friendliness of the land lady. She gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel valued. We were initially a little worried, as a same-sex couple we weren't sure how we would be received, but it was absolutely not a problem, and we really appreciated the lovely attitude of the land lady. We're vegans so asked about vegan-friendly options for breakfast and were so grateful for the effort the owner went to to make us feel like valued customers. We weren't made to feel like a pain at all. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a reasonably priced stay, same-sex couples, and people with dietary needs. I could 100% not fault the amazing service, the only things stopping me giving all 5's are minor things, such as the folding bathroom door which doesn't quite offer much privacy, and strangely we found 3 lady birds had taken up residence in our room. But that wouldn't stop me visiting this welcoming, cosy house again.

Stayed here on business, lovely b&b. Only downside was the flies in my room which seemed to come from nowhere. Kept killing them but more came! Guessing it's because of the river. Lovely views of the river and the property is clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely and the host was fantastic. Will be back!
