The place is rundown. No bar, no kettle or coffee in room, same 2 fruit every day at breakfast. Only one bedside table between two people. Pillows uncomfortably hard. The staff were polite.

1/Reception staff not welcoming on our arrival and rarely made eye contact, there was no greeting.2/ The room type requested wasn’t ready but was allowed to change rooms after initially being refused. 3/ The bed was so uncomfortable and we were woken at 8.00am with drilling and banging elsewhere in the hotel. We would stay here again. The first time I have given a negative review on a hotel.

You can see that this hotel was grand at one stage but it's been neglected and really needs some love. It has a dirty feel to it. The breakfast was offered in a dark and gloomy place which made it unappetizing. The gym was a huge disappointment. I am a firm beleiver that you get what you pay for and this is the case with this hotel. If you want something with more luxery, don't stay here. If you're juat looking for a place to lay your head, it's good. The people who work here are very kind.

Nice stay in the middle of the Old city of Chiang Mai and still quiet. All you need in the street, a bar, restaurants, souvenir shops and massage salons. If you ask for no room service they will still leave 2 bottles of water and toilet paper in front of your door every morning. The buffet breakfast was fine too. I would stay again.

Hotel staff went above expectations to help us. Breakfast buffet variety is ok, but food is cold - not kept on heat. Pool is cold- even though it is 88 degrees outside. Decor is dated and still used an actual key for just room.

Only room is good

I am guessing this large hotel in the old city was fully or partly closed, and is being revived with work done in the rooms first. The rooms are ample, clean, and are generally good value. The remainder of the hotel, however, is not. This swimming pool area Is dilapidated. What they call a gym is a room filled with machines, none of which work. The breakfast is substandard.

What can I say that's good? Well not much, the room was spacious but the bed was hard, the balcony was covered in bird crap and the hot water was hit and miss,the tv was the worst ever could not watch,the breakfast was terrible,just so bad,not even fresh milk or coffee,the building was unkeep but the pool was clean,they must show some care cause it looks and feels old and forgotten.i will never stay again and that's just a small amount of what I could say why you shouldn't either

Fabulous hotel

Great hotel in the middle of the old city. Lovely, friendly staff. A little dated but very clean apart from hallway carpet. Rooms very spacious. Pool was great for dipping in after a long hot day. Lots of shops and eating places around. Tuk tuk s just outside so easy for travelling if you don't want to walk. We never ate in the hotel so can't comment on the food.

Positives out weigh the negatives

The hotel is in a good location for shops, restaurants and local attractions. The decor is in need of refurbishment. The equipment in the Fitness room doesn’t work. I raised this and other issues with my room and immediately got a free upgrade. The staff were very helpful when asked. The swimming pool was clean and the WiFi was good. The buffet breakfast is good value for money.

The hotel was generally basic but the Expedia price was right since it included a buffet breakfast. For a long stay the deficiencies in the breakfast service became annoying. You frequently had to ask them to put out more silverware, napkins, plates, refill the milk pitcher, refill the bread basket, make more eggs (the cook would be in the kitchen), refill certain dishes at the salad bar. They simply had no urgency in finding out what had to be replaced!!! The tables didn't get cleaned up as people vacated their table; it frequently waited until people were searching for a clean table. If you were a short stay, this wouldn't phase you. We'll be here 6 weeks, and it's annoying.

Foreigners Don’t stay here!

Extremely old and needing repairs! Mattresses are really old and lift the sheets to make sure there are no bugs!
The front desk staff was extremely rude and this is so uncharacteristic for Thais! We were the only foreigners in the hotel. It seems to cater to Lowe-middle class Thais on-bus tours...and Chinese tours. The breakfast buffet was not very appealing and not worth 150 bht!
I have tried uploading pics but hotels.com boots me out of the review process! Would not have stayed. 4 nights if we could have cancelled after the first night

The staff at reception are very rude and don’t try to be helpful at all.

Rooms are fine for a night or two - spacious but smell musty and are very budget. Shower was fine but the towels were old and frayed. At least it has aircon!!

BP Chiang Mai Hotel.

Make sure no stained/ripped carpet.
Maybe try to add like cereal,yogurt and more variety of fruits.
Red car driver Phi and Mr Saks were very nice. Others to be rude and take advantage of you and price of fare.
In need of laundry washed. Besides the lady next can't handy a lot of business. Very small washer. Have back up information to help your guests during there stay.
The Internet improved 99%comparing to 1 1/2 ago.
My 3rd time here.

Better options in Chaing Mai

Very disappointed. If I hadn't already paid I would have never stayed the additional 3 nights. Elevator barely works, leaking ceiling outside of my room, ants all over table for breakfast, bugs all over fruit in morning, breakfast was so cold, found used contacts in bathroom, ants always over entire room. This was a nice hotel I'm sure 20 years ago. They need to seriously update pictures and complete renovation on this place. Found much nicer places for over half the cost.

We did not get the room as we made a reservation. we booked double bed but got twin beds. The reception did not inform us when we were checking in until we got inside the room (The reception gave an excuse that could not inform client). Their maid just tied two beds together with plastic rope. UNEXPECTED we got got service like this.

Location is great, with many cafes and shops within walking distance. The facilities are a little old, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, there are mirrors behind and before the bed, which is a little strange.

It's not a glamourous hotel but it's perfect if you are on a tight budget, wants to stay in the old town and be in a centralized location. Breakfast buffet is really good and walking distance to other places to eat. It's so great to be near temples too. Can't ask for better location and just a place to crash.

Hotel was nice, pool was warm, great breakfast buffet for the price. Location is well centered with a lot of places to sightsee around. I would stay away from the massage parlour beside the hotel across from the lane, they mess up my back so bad, I have been going to the chiro (5 time until now and I am not done yet). Food is available from restaurants and street vendors, a street away. Bicycle and motorcycle are available for rental near by.

Terrible. Room was not ready when we arrived. They said check in at 2pm. Had to wait until 3pm. When we went up there just some mattresses on a filthy floor. No bedding either. Bathroom was also a state, moldy shower curtain and taps. No hot water, shower did not work properly when we turned it on for test. Complained to hotel staff, they were rude and unhelpful. Room was pre paid through hotels.com so demanded a refund, they said we can only get refunded if we went through hotels.com. Did not stick around. Left at 4pm same day, with sadly no refund. Found better accommodation for half the price elsewhere.

Great location, but soooo dirty

We hardly dealt with the staff at the reception, as the lady hardly was speaking english. On our way to the rooms, we had to agree, the hotel is dirty, not been redecorated for a while. The walls, the carpets and almost everything should been just renewed. It felt sad because the hotel is big, have swimming pool, huge restaurant - but it is more or less empty and just been used by local tourist. We entered our room, where we found some watermelon left behind in the fridge, some newspaper in the bathroom - so it has not been cleaned. Back to the reception to ask for an other room. After sorted we enjoyed the stay because of the location, but please spend a little amount on refreshing the walls, bathrooms, towels and carpets and it could be a 4 star hotel - so sad :(

Disappointed in cleanliness

Hotel staff was friendly enough, but I was appalled at the condition of the hotel. My door was open upon arrival, the floor hadn't been cleaned and it was obvious, multiple chairs hadn't been moved for cleaning, the mold in the bathroom needs to be cleaned badly. There was room service dishes in the hallway that remained there for over 24 hours. Overall, I was disappointed in the cleanliness and condition of the hotel. Great location though and friendly staff.

Looked nice on the outside, as well as when you walk in. Past that, everything else is digusting. Old nasty carpets. Smelly. Once we got into our room, there was a huge chunk of food on the ground that was covered with millions of ants. Clearly no1 cleaned the floors or took notice. The Mirrors had tons of stains on them as well as behind the it was brown dried splatter of who knows what. The bath tube was nasty as hell. Floors were super old. Besides one nice reception girl and nice bell boys, that was it. But everyone is pretty nice in Thailand.

Meh, there are other hotel gems in Chiang Mai

Centrally located in old city. 2 blocks from Sunday nt market. Lobby looks great but staff English only fair. Room not so great. Condensation dripping on the floor greeted me. Bathroom had mildew in all grout and caulking. Towels had ratty strings hanging. Shower curtain ripped and moldy and you can't avoid it touching you as you shower since you're standing in a tub. Could not charge any devices since the fridge was in the only working outlet. TV sat there unusable with the cord hanging. Main light in room didn't work either. Cost $18 usd per night was not worth it in comparison to others in the area. Breakfast included had old, dried- out noodle stir fry in it but they did cook fresh eggs and french toast. That was a treat. Booking somewhere else this weekend.

Plenty of bang for your buck

Great location down the street from the Chiang Mai night market, big airy lobby and a building done up in modern Thai architectural style. A nice restaurant on the main floor, helpful staff, and a 7 pm free shuttle going to the night market. This place was great! A bit old but well-kept and plenty comfortable. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Staff were friendly, house keeping where good and unobtrusive, value for money, comfortable but not luxurious. We had a good sized room, beds were ok. Don't expect a view. We had room service 1 night and food was good. We attended the breakfast buffet once but felt it was over priced. The hotel foyer has lots of charm.

This hotel is no where within walking distance to the night bazaar it's quite expensive for what you get. This is very nit picky but the pillows were terrible there were so over stuffed wr ended up sleeping on the decorative pillows and I slept on my hoodie. There are better hotels then this even in the heart of the night markets. On the plus side thus hotel had a good Thai restaurant.

Quiet neighbourhood but my next door neighbor on my second night was very loud, with a baby with them. Turns out our rooms adjoined with doors that locked. It didn't matter when the next room was empty but when the neighbors did anything, I could hear them clearly. The baby woke me up several times throughout the night

An older inexpensive hotel

The hotel is a good bargin. We stayed for three days and enjoyed our stay. The swimming pool is quite small, and we were charged 50 Balt/$1.75 for a broken glass. My wife did break the glass as she placed in down in the bathroom sink. The bathtub was not cleaned daily and my wife's hair was in the tub. We had breakfast at their breakfast buffet twice. There wasn't much eggs, sausages, ham, fruit, rice and one dish of veggies and meat. The coffee was decent. The location is walking distance to the Main Street.

Another Night in Chiang Mai

I have stayed at the BP Chiang Mai hotel several times and it keeps getting better. As I was checking in they brought me fresh juice, a nice touch I thought, one usualy reserved for much tonier boutique hotels. This hotel is a diamond in the rough. IT is more expensive than many guest houses in the area, but it has a pool and wifi, and the beds are clean and comfortable. It is right in the center of the Walled city, so getting around is easy. The bathrooms all have marble counters and hot n' old running water. The shower is also a bath tub, complete with hot n' cold running water, no little electrical hot water heater to fail. The staff are friendly and mind their business. The lobby is huge and if you need to sit for a few hours to wait to leave for a train or bus, they will not hassle you. There are lots of quiet places to read a book. the pool is nice, there is a little gym, too. What's not to love.

Reasonably Priced Hotel

Expected level of comfort and facilities for the price we paid. Swimming pool too small, maybe should be called a dip pool. A bit run down and could do with a spruce up. Wi-Fi connection kept on getting disrupted and had to re-log every 10 minutes. Was bitten by a mosquito while having breakfast.
Am surprised that hotel has a total of 154 rooms. A bit understaff, but maybe off peak season.

a Gem of a Hotel

I really like the BP Chiang Mai City hotel. It has some undeserved poor reviews that when compared to other hotels in the same price range just don't hold up. This hotel has a built in shower nozzle, not an electronic box with a hose. It has hot and cold running water in the sink and marble counters in the bathroom. The bed and linens are comfortable and the WIFI is getting better and faster every time I stay there. It's a 10 minute walk to the heart of the old city, maybe 12 minutes to Tae Pae gate, and there are some great restaurants on the way. I've walked back fairly late at night and always felt safe walking by myself.

I had 2 nights stay here, always requested for hot water by calling reception, the hot water delivery always very fast, within 5 minutes the hotel staff already knocked the door and provided me what I asked for, normally it's early morning or late night. Thank you so much!!

Un completo horror

Habíamos reservado 3 noches y solo nos quedamos una. Este lugar es viejo, está mal cuidado y sucio. El pasillo principal de las habitaciones daba hasta miedo, la moqueta llena de manchas, el baño sucio, la cama tenía dentro un pelo, en fin un desastre. La zona de comedor de película de terror, con neveras viejas sin usar por el medio, un horror, nos fuimos en cuanto tuvimos oportunidad.

Ottima posizione nel centro storico della città. La struttura è molto bella, anche se qualcosa andrebbe rimodernato. Il personale è gentile. La camera molto spaziosa, tutti i giorni effettuano le pulizie e il cambio degli asciugamani. L’unica nota negativa è che c’è solo una presa elettrica, oltretutto distante dal letto. Doveva anche esserci una cassaforte in camera, che però pare abbiano levato da anni. In ogni caso, mi sono trovato molto bene.

Le personnel est très sympa, avec mention spéciale pour les dames qui servent le petit déjeuner : adorables.
Le ménage est fait tous les jours, les serviettes changées.
On voit que l’hôtel est entretenu, les climatiseurs et les matelas neufs.
Restent les moquettes des couloirs très usagées à remplacer.

El alojamiento según lo que se busque y como se mire. La habitación está fenomenal muy grande con un buen aire acondicionado buena cama frigorífico cortinas opacas vamos muy bien.
Descansamos muy bien ya que no hay gente es una maravilla. Desayuno correcto pensado en que no hay muchos clientes pues no es un gran buffet pero desayunas bien la piscina super tranquila no hay ruido de niños ni nada muy bien. Yo repetiré

Selve stedet og belæggenheden var virkelig godt, og folkene i receptionen var virkelig søde. Men rengøringen var forfærdelig, og badeværelset var faldefærdigt, og man havde ikke følelsen sf at noget var rent. Så det var en meget ambulant følelse

酒店超大，不過比較舊

酒店超大，不過比較舊。衛生情況不太理想，走廊位置有垃圾沒有人清。房間很大，尚算乾淨，淋浴間沒有門分開，水會濺到地上，有點不方便。
酒店早餐超難食，幸好我預訂時沒有多付包早餐的房間，直接到酒店付150泰幣試了一天，非常難吃。

地理位置都算方便，近舊城區

9-10,09,18 ,ช่วงนี้ทาง โรงแรมได้มีการซ่อมแซมปรับปรุงห้องพักอาจจะดูไม่ค่อยสะอาด แต่ฉันคิดว่าในอนาคตที่พัก โรงแรมต้องดีกว่านี้แน้นอน

以約二百港幣－晚來說，可以勉強接受。

因為這間酒店差不多有三十年歷史，雖然保養得唔算差，始終－把年紀，好處是在舊城中心點，到那裡都比較方便。在停車場入口邊，有間古法按摩，技師手法唔錯，算是唯一驚喜。

旧市内に位置するため、散歩するには良い。

利用するのが毎年楽しみににしているホテルです。
設備は少々老朽化していますが、高い天井の食堂で食べる朝食のバイキングはみんなから好評のように思える。

団体客がいる時は少し騒がしいでしょうか。

Wir hatten 3 Nächte gebucht, Zimmer sehr dreckig- Flur muffig, sollte dringend renoviert werden- Lage sehr gut! Frühstück war ok- gut ist aber anderst.

la verdad el personal deja mucho que desear son antipaticos y aparte de eso nos hemos encontrado una rata por los passillos. es un hotel por fuera es bonito pero por dentro un poco dejado. No lo recomiendo
