Pretty and very characterful traditional home. Our room was interesting—pretty Moroccan style furnishings such as a painted ceramic sink. Quite small but adequate, though the bed was against the wall so one person had to climb over the other to get out. Alright if you’re young but one of us is in our 70’s.

A door on the toilet would have been much appreciated.

Tea making was provided in a common area but not before 8:30 am which is quite late to wait for a cup of drink in the morning!

Overall it seemed a bit pricy for the accommodation.

The owner was very nice and helpful.

Might have been the owner, but he is very short tempered. Everyone has bad days, but running a hospitality business, attitude is key. And this is coming from being in the business for 20 years.

Incredible!!!

Gerard is super friendly and the hotel is BEAUTIFUL. Perfect walking distance to restaurants, sight seeing, and the beach. As a group of young women, we felt extremely safe. There’s air conditioning in the room and a coffee station downstairs. There’s even an adorable ragdoll cat that roams the hotel - it felt like a movie. Couldn’t say a bad word about this place. My go-to recommendation for anyone’s stay in Malaga.

The aesthetically pleasing vitrified ceramic tile flooring and wall treatments were a notable feature. Its convenient proximity to area attractions, restaurants, cafes, and eateries was advantageous. However, the property's location at the end of a street experiencing issues with homelessness and public intoxication presented safety concerns. On the morning leaving for breakfast, human waste was discovered near the entrance. Furthermore, early morning construction noise from the lower level disrupted our sleep. Parking was limited and the spaces were cramped.

Good stay in Malaga

The atmosphere was excellent—old style Arabic/Old Spanish establishment with internal courtyard and rooms with internal windows. A very authentic feel and dare I write, quaint. There was no noise from outside. Internal noise echoed a bit but the other guests weren’t noisy. The bed was spotlessly clean. The shower head needed a gasket to stop the water spraying everywhere except from the shower head itself! The holder on the wall for the shower head itself was too worn out to hold the shower head so I had to hold the shower head or rest it on the taps. The sink plug was fully inserted and to get it out so the sink could drain I had to dig it out with my fingernails. The hotel is close to the town’s restaurants and bars and the Alcazar and Roman Teatro. Excellent. I really enjoyed my stay but the shower and sink need some TLC. Get that fixed and it’s a gem.

The room we got was so small. There was no tv, small fridge, snall bed, and very poor running air conditioning. My son stayed down the street in a hostel and he had a better room, more spacious, better air conditioning, a tv, a huge private bathroom, and lots of light. This place is not worth the money. The only good thing about this place is its location.

We stayed in the Badiane room, which is decorated in a lovely way. The downside is that the window opens to the corridor that is connected to the inner courtyard. It does have air conditioning. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard for tea and coffee.

Beautiful guest house with lush terrace in the middle. Gerald was easy to reach via WhatsApp. I loved that the rooms had a name, mine was “cardamom” and I love having a real key for the room. My room had a window opened to the terrace and it looked like a painting. I had cleaning service during the day which is not common anymore and I appreciated that. The location is perfect, I walked everywhere. I parked in the parking garage on a nearby street and that was fine. Overall lovely.

Cozy, well located, quiet place. The riad is located in a quiet, pedestrian street, centrally located, but away from loud bars. The rooms are well lit and look much better in person. The place offers beach towels and umbrellas to take to the beach, along with recommendations for breakfast and lunch spots.

It's a beautiful guest house with lots of charm. The host was polite and spoke English. The nearby car park cost €46 for 2 days and is a 2 minute walk. The location is great with a max of 30 minutes walk to most of the main locations.

The rooms are a little smaller than anticipated and no kettle in the room, although there is a communal kettle in the foyer. There's no TV in the rooms (doesn't bother me but some people may expect it). The walls are very thin so you will have to be cautious of noise.

Overall not a bad stay, expected a little more for the money but it was a last minute trip.

The room is cozy with its own private balcony. The decor and architecture is amazing and all the plants. The bed was firm and comfortable. Especially the pillow. It was chilly but they have central heat air and a hot plate to warm up room. Hot water takes a minute in shower.
A tiny shower, got to make sure you put a towel on the floor. The location is amazing so close to everything within walking distance from all the sites. I loved staying here. Also felt very safe. TGNCIQ friendly.

We had an ant infestation but we dealt with it by buying a spray can of bug spray and that managed it.

What a great find! El Riad Andaluz has lots of character, is beautifully presented and very comfortable. Whilst it's only a couple of minutes from the city centre it's remarkably quiet. And proprietor Gerald is always happy to help. The rooms are lovely (mostly colour -themed I think) although fairly small. So perhaps not ideal for a longer stay but absolutely perfect for a few days or so

Very nice little hostal tucked away in the old town. Room was excellent although be warned that there’s no door to the en suite facility, just a wall! The owner was very flexible in arrangements and allowed us a late check out and shower because we ran the Malaga Media Maraton on the morning of check out day. Thank you for this. That was really nice hospitality. Highly recommend this place.

So much character! What a lovely hotel, made such a change from the usual chain hotels I’m used to staying in. I stayed in the single room which was small but fine for a couple of days. The balcony was my favourite thing about the room and opened the space up perfectly. Like other people have said the bathroom isn’t particularly private but as a solo traveler or couple who are very comfortable with each other it’s perfect. The room was very basic in terms of amenities (no fridge, iron, tea/coffee is downstairs in the lobby) but location is great and you everything on your doorstep. Got some great restaurant recommendations from the Receptionist and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Recommend!

Very personal warm welcome with helpful advice given. The hotel and room was lovely - full of character, quirky, individual and aesthetically decorated. Due to flight delay I was late, but arrived to a very friendly introduction and felt immediately at home, which was really nice. I would highly recommend the hotel. It's isn't full of modern gadgets and shiny surfaces, instead it's full of heart.

Beautiful experience in the heart of old Malaga

If you are looking for bland 5 star services this is not for you. If you are looking for a unique experience it is. Florent and his staff are warm welcoming hosts and Georgina the housemaid is so helpful. But the star of the show is the place itself, a real experience of Andalucia and set in the perfect position to get to explore Malaga.

Our room overlooked the alley to the front and we had a small sitting room plus a double bedroom. There was a well designed shower tucked away. Stylish but simple.

We were welcomed and oriented when we arrived by wonderful hosts, who also suggested a terrific tapas restaurant. The hotel is in the old city, so it is a bit hard to find and hard to park, but once there, we were in a great place. (There is a lot of construction nearby, which will be worth it eventually.) This was a great place to begin our trip on the Costa del Sol.

Arrivati l'hotel si presenta come un piccolo riad marocchino. Saliamo in camera e....orrore. pavimento sporco di capelli e cosi tutto il letto e i cuscini. Avvisiamo il proprietario che ci cambia il lenzuolo. Bagno minuscolo e inesistente, era una parete che divideva il letto dal water senza soffitto e senza porta ma una tendina. Pessima esperienza

The location is really good but our room was not good imo. There is no separation between the toilet and the room. Not even a curtain.
The room has a small window on the staircase so didnt feel comfortable to have the curtains up.
On the plus side, there is a daily cleaning of the rooms and the staff are friendly

Las instalaciones muy faltas de mantenimiento. En las camas lo único limpio fueron las sábanas. Cometí el error de tumbarme sobre la colcha y todo fueron picores (¿ácaros?), La \"alcachofa de la ducha se desprendió con solo tocarla, después lo comunique en recepción y su reacción me dio a entender que no era la primera vez que se lo hacían saber. Lo dicho falta de mantenimiento y limpieza. Resumiendo \"precio no acorde a lio que se ofrece\".

Gute Lage in der Nähe des Plaza de la Merced, in der Nähe viele fußläufig erreichbare gute Restaurants. Auch ansonsten das historische Centrum gut zu Fuß zu erforschen. Um die Ecke der Mercado Merced mit Supermarkt. Marieta, eine freundliche und sehr bemühte Mitarbeiterin. Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer, wer schlichte, marokkanische Riads mag, ist hier genau richtig.
