This is a lovely hotel, perfectly located and only a short walk from all kinds of architectural delights as well as incredible cuisine and culture. Staff were lovely, the hotel was clean, very quiet (I went September) and welcoming. Lovely touch with the welcome pack and message, rooms serviced perfectly. Very good with minor issues

Good lication good breakfast. Only problems is that couldn't get airconditioning to lower enough and that the curtains let in too much light at night. Maybe bring a sleeping mask if that bothers you.

Lovely Malaga Stay at a Good Price

The hotel itself was great. We had 3 people in the room, so we had 2 twin beds and a third (seemed like a rollaway) that made it slightly close quarters, but we were only staying the night to get to the airport early. That said, it might have been a mistake to stay in town on a weekend. We were up at 4 and the party had never died down. It's a little disconcerting driving over what looks like sidewalk with people not paying attention to cars. I slept okay but my family had some difficulty with all the noise on the street. Not the hotel's fault, obviously. Otherwise, the staff was delightful, the coffee bar was great, and it all seemed clean and nice. If I was there to party all night, it'd be ideal!

Front desk reception staff is extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room they gave me was on the first floor toward the back of the hotel. This was good for me since it was very quiet. I’ve stayed in rooms with a balcony over a busy street and that is very noisy at night. The parking the hotel offers offsite is very nice and the reception staff do a great job explaining how to get there. It may be a bit confusing, so I recommend walking to garage to see where it is before attempting to drive there. This trip to Spain I chose to rent a car and it is proving to be quite expensive and inconvenient. I don’t recommend doing so to anyone.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff were very welcoming. Finding the car park was extremely tricky and we could definitely have used a map on the instructions to help. The complimentary drink was a nice bonus and the water machine in reception was a way of reducing plastic. Personally I would have appreciated a kettle and a fridge in the room. The room was comfortable but not spotless.

The most AMAZING surprise was that the processions during the Holy Week. Lovely Hotel in the Heart of Malaga.

My partner and I visited Malaga for a few days, both our birthdays are around the same time and we thought a little trip away would be a perfect way to celebrate.

Hotel Del Pintor is in a superb location, right in heart of Malaga and easily accessed from the bus routes from the airport.

On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who explained our room wasn't quite ready yet, however explained our luggage could be left at the hotel while we go and explore Malaga.

On our return to the hotel our luggage had been moved into our room already. The room was clean and welcoming with a very comfortable bed.

The Hotel also has a little cafe attached where you can enjoy a coffee and breakfast. Hotel guest also receive a voucher where they can claim a free coffee from the cafe.

The only very small criticism of the hotel would be the curtains in the room, they were very thin and the lights from the courtyard shone into the room through the curtains meaning the room never really got dark.

However we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel, we are planning to visit Malaga again around May time and hope to book again with Hotel Del Pintor.

Friendly staff. Quirky decor - nice artwork. Clean and spacious room. Was a bit noisy even with window shut - fine in January but in hotter months you would want the window open. Unfortunately the lift was broken but they tried to compensate by taking luggage to rooms etc for guests. Nice personal touches eg message on mirror welcoming us and biscuits in room. Fresh water available and can refill. Bed comfy and plenty of pillow choices. Location good in old town - walkable and close to a lot of attractions in old town. 20 min walk to port area.

This hotel themed around the paintings was a lovely find. Most important all the staff were very helpful suggesting routes, sights and what to look for, they were friendly and had a genuineness about them.

I sincerely do not think I will ever stay at another hotel in Malaga after staying in this wonderful all over hotel! The staff were all amazing! The bed was so comfortable! The hotel was immaculately clean! To top all that the welcome of the staff especially the manager was the icing on the cake and the welcome in the room with my name on the mirror and the water and cookies was exceptional! This hotel is located near the historical castle and the mark up shops. The cathedral is 5 minutes walking distance. There is plenty selection of restaurants and snack shops near by. It is not recommended if you are traveling with family and kids and renting a car. There is no drop off and hop on zone.

This property was very small making it easy to get in and out. There is currently construction on the road in front of the hotel, so a taxi cannot drop you directly out front. But, it's a short walk from where they can drop you or pick you up.
It's very nicely located as there are many restaurants in the area. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Picasso museum. It was a bit of a hike to the beach, but would be doable for younger people.
The staff was great. The cleaning people were so efficient and cleaned while we were out. They were also able to help us understand how the lights and air conditioning worked. The front desk staff even made initial contact to our airline so we could talk to someone in English.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Del Pintor is ideally located near the center of the old city of Malaga. The staff are helpful and the rooms are very well appointed and extremely clean. Rooms and hallways feature modern paintings by a local artist which resonate with Malaga being the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and the home to an excellent museum of his life and work. The hotel provides 2 free coffees per day per person and offers a 6 Euro breakfast at a cafe just steps away. It is a unique and excellent hotel.

Excellent hotel fantastically placed fir the centre of Malaga, very near to Roman ruins and Cathedral , Xmas lights etc.
The parking \"issue\" isn't too bad, you check into the hotel leaving your car outside the front in the street, and they give you a key fob for the car park together with a map ( which could be improved) to find the car park. Once there you drive into a lift in your car and the rest is easy.
Breakfast was taken over the road with a voucher Noviembre cafe which was nice, coffee, orange juice, toast, ham, cheese and tomato.
Room was small but adequate for a couple of nights, excellent bedding and absolutely spotlessly clean.
Would definitely return.

Good central location in the old town. Lots of food options nearby and many attractions and the beach within 10 minutes walk. Reception team were very friendly and when we had an issue, they dealt with it immediately and offered us a different room straight away. There is a nice terrace on the top floor which is nice in the evening to relax on.

I didn't care much for this hotel. The only thing I liked about it was the location. I was supposed to be given a courtyard room but had a street room so had to deal with noise. The \"double bed\" was two singles pushed together. There was one elevator which in the time of COVID19 is not a good idea. Also, I found the decor at the hotel garish and not suitable to a room where you sleep.

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Hotel del Pintor in Malaga. The staff were friendly and efficient and our bags were taken to our room for us as we arrived before the check in time. The hotel is very well placed in the old town. Complimentary hot drinks are available in the reception area and there is a small roof top terrace where we sat with our bottle of wine and nibbles early evening before we went out to eat. This was our second visit, we will definitely return!

Nice boutique hotel in the heart of the Centro tourism sites. Moderate prices, with breakfast across the street, and super helpful and friendly staff.
The hotel design has marbled tile floors and an enclosed courtyard which reaches up to the fourth floor. As a light sleeper I found it distracting overnight when visitors gathered on the ground floor of the courtyard where the poor acoustics allowed for more noise than I like, this was also combined with overnight mopping and stocking work which also woke me up. Otherwise a good overall week long stay.

Breakfast is a bad deal if you opt for it. You either have to eat breakfast inside your room between 7 and 9AM (small space inside the rooms) or go a cross the street from 9 to 11. (Literally go outside the hotel to eat breakfast that is included. Breakfast was not that great, limited options. Buy your own breakfast around the area
