Accueil très sympathique par deux jeunes femmes, mais refus du cuisinier de servir un plat express à 14:30. Pas de bouilloire en chambre. Déco kaki foncé et empreintes de pas aux murs affreuse, moquette idem jamais vu aussi moche. Drôle de style… la.chambre s’en trouve obscurcie. Petit déjeuner correct mais accueil froid et limite désagréable du responsable du petit déjeuner, propreté impeccable, lit confortable. Calme absolu.

An average stay.

Our stay was comfortable and we had been warned about the redecorations etc. going on. However, staircases were unhoovered and sometimes breakfast produce and equipment had to be asked for. We were not asked if we were happy with everything and staff were not really very interested in the personal side of things.
The swimming pool looked uninviting, with coiled pipes in the water.

This was not the quality we expected from a Mercure hotel. It had been downgraded to an Ibis styles which was not what we paid for!!!!! We obviously complained to the manager of the hotel and I give him top marks for his understanding and generosity.

Great room, not customer experience

Booked room and paid extra for breakfast.
Clean enough room just no air-conditioning which is no big deal as Normandy does not get very hot. Very clean bathroom. Quite comfortable, therefore good sleep.

The disappointment:
Their breakfast is upto 10am.. having arrived midnight after travelling long with kids we had to make sure they got as much sleep as possible. Got to breakfast at 9:40am but there were no eggs, sausages or bacon left and nobody was bothered to replenish. Just had toast and coffee.
At checkout, the lady at the reception asked if I was happy with everything- having shared the experience about breakfast, there was no apology, just a bland \"there's nothing I can do, take it up with Hotels.com since you did not book directly with us\".

Maybe this was a one off but you know how it is with negative experiences...

Good hotel for a 1 night stay on our way home from Bretagne to Amsterdam. Near highway but no real noise. Paint job on the many colorful doors in the hallway is not professionally done, which takes away from the feel of the property. Reception and restaurant do have a welcoming and rather contemporary feel. Very friendly staff as well. Definitely great value for money overall.

Nice clean hotel. We had a family room. The double bed was comfortable but the sofa bed was small and uncomfortable for 2 children. The hotel and room are clean. Although there is air conditioning in the hotel, the rooms on the first floor do not have a/c and this was not clarified when we booked our room. The receptionist explained it to me after check-in. The pool and outdoor area are very nice and well kept. Easy parking and very good location for visiting Lisieux.

This hotel was ideally situated for a half way stop between Challans and Brugge.

The food, both for breakfast and dinner was good.

Our only fault was that it was obvious that there had been a smoker in the room and this was really obvious as soon as we entered the room.

Ok for a bed to sleep in

It was an ok place to sleep for one night. The beds were very clean and comfortable. However the bathroom toilet had not been cleaned. Something appeared to be spilled on outside of door to room. We missed the breakfast we paid for ahead of time since we were jet lagged, so I can’t comment on food. The desk attendant helped me print tickets to a game when I checked which I appreciated. Location was easily accessible. We visited a bakery twice and visited the Basilica of St. Thérèse of Lisieux before we headed out of town.

The hotel is what it is, a base, adequate French hotel. It is out of town and pool is not heated. The rooms are simple but adequate, providing most of the needed facilities. No aircon. Food is OK but really nothing to write home about. Pricing is high for the standard. We stayed in Holiday Inn in Calais week before – 13 in all (plus dog) including 5 children. Dinner with drinks was €90 and at Mercure was nearly €200. Holiday Inn was much better.

Hotel slightly outside city center of Lisieux. It is conveniently located near large shopping area (Leclerc) with gas station. Great parking that is free. We had a standard room with pull out sofa bed. Rooms arent that big with the sofa bed open.
The pool is nice although no swimming after 7 or 8 pm. Their breakfast is super expensive, go to the Leclerc shop and in that shopping complex they have a cafe with food and coffee, opens and 9 (there is also a McDonald across the street). There were some sewage smells coming near the pool area making outdoor seating not as enjoyable. Overall clean and what you would expect from Mercure chain.

My Mom and I went to Lisieux on pilgrimage - expedia suggested this hotel to us. Although a little distance out of town - this did not bother us as the staff gave us a bus timetable and directed us to the bus stop. The staff were friendly, approachable and very willing to help. Our hotel room was what I would call funky.
We loved the design and layout - it was very comfortable and the beds were sleep enducing! The buffet was great as here was something for everyone there there is no way, and any one could go away hungry.
We had an evening meal at the hotel twice and the waiter was very kind in finding a meal I culd eat.

Very good and very comfortable

This is a modern style hotel located on the eastern edge of Lisieux close to the main road to Evreux and Paris. The location is very quiet in spite of being close to a main road junction as the rooms mostly are located away from the roads. The young staff appear to work well as a team and have an excellent rapport with the customers. We used the restaurant every night of our stay and the menu was varied each day. We used the bus to go into the town rather than risk the hassle of parking. The fare is only 95 cents. The bus runs until 2015. As well as the town itself, the coast is nearby at Cabourg, Deauville and Trouville. You can get to Rouen by train. Within a few minutes walk there is an immense Leclerc hypermarket which appears to sell virtually everything, but has a particularly extensive choice of wines.

Also, no chair outside whereas it would have been great to take a rest next to the swimming pool even if it was closed.

Whilst the communal area of the hotel was inviting and gave a great first impression, our room did not live up to this standard. It was rather tired, somewhat squashed once the sofa bed was pulled out for our two small children and overall seemed rather basic. However nice public areas to sit in, swimming pool was good and nice to have on sight parking. Staff were friendly.

We were looking for a cheap and cheerful room. The location is excellent with parking right outside. The neighborhood is quiet but close enough to restaurants, etc. The room itself was cramped and hot, with no AC. The towels were old and the bathroom needs to be remodeled. However, we were only staying one night so we didn't complain. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. Tiny breakfast island with a limited selection; lots of people milling about a congested area. Couldn't eat outside because there were already people splashing about in the pool early in the morning. Reception staff tried to be of assistance. Adequate establishment but nothing special.

Classy but a little way away from Lisieux

I had a lovely time, the food is very good and the staff will do what they can for you, but you really need to have a car to make the most of the place. It has a hypermarket across the road, which you cannot see but is REALLY convenient should you need ANYTHING. However it is a little way away from the centre of Lisieux - it took me 20mins to get back to the hotel one evening, mainly up hill, through an area that didn't look that good. The weather wasn't good enough for me to try the pool out, but it looked enticing.

All pretty decent

We chose this hotel on our way to Calais and mostly because it had a swimming pool. It was a very hot weekend and the pool was lovely and cooling (I don't think it is heated, so on cooler days it might not be ideal). Unfortuntaley the pool surrounds looked a little scruffy. A broom and a bit of elbow grease wouldnt go amiss. The loungers were lovely and comfy, but the fallen leaves and other debris made it look a bit messy. Food was ok, they have a starter and desert buffet, which is also part of the childrens menu which was very nice, kids looooooved that! The entre-cote my husband chose was a bit tough though, which was a real let down for lovely culinary France. Surrounding area was horrid, right in the middle of an industrial estate, but really for what we paid it was more than decent. I would certainly reccomend it. In other reviews people complain about the lack of airconditioning in the rooms. We were there on one of the hottest days in the year and yes it was warm, but certainly not unbearable. As a travel-through hotel it is perfect! Oh... wifi is very slow, but it works to check emails and weather etc.

Staff was excellent, breakfast is amazing, parking is free and so is WiFi, beds are extremely comfortable, and location is fine...little noisy with windows open as there is no air conditioning or ceiling fan...but nice country breeze during mid august was welcomed. We were a family of 4 and kids loved the pull out sofa as much as we loved our soft beds. The minimal fridge is great for those wanting to keep some drinks chilled and want 10 ice cubes....otherwise hard to find in France. Would recommend it to anyone.

Overall tis is a very good hotel in the middle range bracket. The location is very easy to find with very good free parking facilities. Two small issues you would need to be mindfull of: 1. The location is about a 40 minute walk to the certre of town. 2. Bedrooms on the ground floor - you can't leave your window open while not there and there is no air con.

Food was to a very high standard and staff were very professional.

We got lost on the way there; tried to call the hotel every 20 minutes or so, from 9:30 pm onward, to get better directions and to alert them to our situation...got no answer, over and over, which seemed odd. We found the place, finally, arrived there at 11:25pm, but upon our arrival, we found the entry barred by a security gate, which was locked, the lights were off, nobody answered the intercom....we were stuck on the street in the middle of the night in a foreign city. ..luckily there was a competitor not far down the road who accommodated us readily and to our satisfaction, so things turned out OK.

Sought a refund for our room next morning, was told, essentially: tough break - so sorry - no refund. They said since the website told us they \"accept guests up to 11pm\" , that was fair warning. They couldn't explain why nobody answered the phone. So, in fairness to them (not sure I should be fair, but will remain a gentleman): I am rating the place a 3, straight across - strictly neutral - since there's no way to otherwise the rate the various topics, and they are required fields.

I cannot provide any info on the place, otherwise, since I didn't really \"stay there\".

Advice? get a car w/ GPS, and get there before dark...

Mycket trevlig entré och lobby. Mysigt att sitta vid poolkanten och äta middag i hotellets restaurang. Helt ok frukost. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Skicket på rummen är dock på gränsen till acceptabelt. Skicket är som ett nedgånget motell. Dessutom helt crazy att man måste betala för att låna en handduk när man ska lägga sig på en solstol vid poolen, om man inte vill använda samma och enda duschhandduk man får på rummet.

Dans l’ensemble l’hôtel est plutôt agréable .. les peintures sont neuves … mais attention la chambre 29 est inondé au sol côté lit ! On ne se rend pas compte avec la moquette ! Du coup mon sac ordi avec tous les supports de formation mouillés .
Pour le repas du soir le service une vraie cata , personnel pas sympa , nous avons dû nous lever pour prendre la carte, attendu une demi heure pour la commande , on lui demande de prendre la commande elle ne vient tjrs pas ! Passe et repasse devant nous sans rien faire , on sert levé et on est parti ! Quel dommage pour un hôtel !!
Pour le matin , l’opposé personnel très très agréable !

le personnel notamment en journée est vraiment antipathique et je mesure mes mots.

Pour la restauration, installer à 20h au bout de 15 MN j'ai du aller chercher la carte sur le comptoir puis interpeller une dame qui n'arrêtait pas de faire le va et vient sans prendre notre commande, SANS MEME UNE PROPOSITION DE BOISSON, je l'ai sollicité à cet effet en me répondant \"j'arrive\" mais continuant à nettoyer les autres tables sans se préoccuper de nous car nous étions 2. Au bout de 20 minutes nous sommes partis sans que le personnel qui était au nombre de 3 vienne vers nous. Donc à 20h30 nous sommes allé au Buffalo Grill qui nous ont eu servi tres rapidement.

Cercavamo un posto dove dormire in zona, abbiamo trovato disponibiltà in struttura. Non siamo rimasti particolarmente soddisfatti per la mancanza di igiene in generale nell'albergo e un riassetto camera deludente. Colazione a pagamento quasi sufficente per qualità. non abbiamo usufruito della piscina quindi non saprei cosa dire .

Trous de cigarettes sur fauteuil, pas de pression dans la douche et tuyau qui fuit!!!
Peu d'espace au bord de la piscine qui est bien agréable quand même.
Des petits déjeuners à 16€50, trop chèr pour nous.

climatisation qu'au dernier étage !!!

hotel vieillissant et à proximité d'un carrefour passant
très surpris de ne pas avoir la clim (+35°C dehors) dans ma chambre du 1er étage : la réception m'indique que seules celles du dernier étage en ont !!!
=> un orage et la fenêtre ouverte - avec les restrictions de circulation ça aide - ont fait le job

Avec le COVID, le service en chambre est un peu aléatoire. Les consignes reçues par l'ensemble du personnel ne semblaient pas être les mêmes pour tous.
Pour exemple, les deux premiers matins, le pdj m'a été apporté en chambre et le dernier matin j'ai du allé le chercher

Bof! c'est quand meme un 3 etoiles !!!!

On nous a attribue une chambre non prete. Dans un second
temps, la deuxieme chambre presentee des draps non tires.
Doute donc!!!
Eloigne du centre ville.

Très bien, très confortable, un personnel hyper gentil. Simplement une petite remarque sur le décor de la chambre et de l'escalier assez vieillot, ce qui est bien la première fois pour moi dans un mercure (et j'en ai visité beaucoup)

Propreté parfaite.Espace tranquille et reposant.
Petit problème technique : robinet lavabo mal fixé : ça bouge beaucoup dés qu'on l'utilise . Fixation inférieure à revoir (sous le meuble)
Dîner et Petit Déjeuner de qualité plus que convenable.
Personnel disponible , courtois et agréable . Merci !
