A bit souless but I guess to be expected for a motel near the airport on a Sunday night.
The older chap on reception during the night shift very early on the Monday morning was quite friendly though.

Excellent hotel in country location

Small friendly hotel only one stop outside Rome centre. Bus shuttle picked us up from railway and took us to and from metro and to airport on return. Excellent service. Room adequate. Shower good and plenty of hot water and towels. Breakfast good and evening meal. Lunch needs a more extensive range.

Disappointing Experience – Beware of Reception Staff. Our stay at Picolo Borgo was frustrating from the start due to the incredibly rude and unhelpful receptionist. Communication around the shuttle pickup from the metro station was a nightmare, and even basic assistance was met with attitude. Although we were told the pool would stay open later, we were forced out five minutes before closing,needlessly strict and poorly handled.Despite being just a 10-minute drive from the airport, no shuttle was available in the morning. The receptionist refused to help arrange a taxi and even tried to overcharge us,quoting €35 for a ride we ended up booking ourselves for €20 using the FreeNow app.The location is remote with nothing nearby,so make sure to bring food if you're staying overnight. Overall, the rude service and lack of basic hospitality made this a poor experience. I would not recommend staying here.

Quiet and comfortable hotel

This is a very comfortable hotel which is close to the airport. It is perfect for one night stay when your flight landed at the airport too late. The only issue is the Spa and sauna which was closed but appeared to be available on the hotel introduction.

Overall the stay was nice enough when you’re not spending lots of time in the hotel.

Walking around the room even after a cleaning and from the day we arrived got your feet very dirty and no door on the shower left the room easily soaked.

The property was great. Pool was amazing. No amenities in walking distance (safe walking distance as no pavements in places on the main road)
Staff were great. Breakfast had a great selection. Dinner was good. Toasties available at lunch. Shuttles available to the train stations on request.

We only stayed one night before our flight out of Italy. If you are arriving via public transportation make sure you arrange transport from the station with the hotel. They have a convenient van. If you arrive from ciampino note taxis have a mandatory minimum of 35 euros even if you are going 1 km. The area surrounding the property is beautiful. Americans take note: you need to wear a swimming cap to swim in the very lovely pool. I think this property would be particularly amazing if you plan to tour the Apian Way and have a car. For those sensitive the room had a very strong air freshener.

The hotel could do with an upgrade and more staff.

The decor could do with upgrading and new shower units installed as ours had mould around the bottom. The place was badly understaffed and this created a bad atmosphere from some of the staff who were obviously doing extremely long shifts of varying tasks. The girl on reception was very helpful. And one of the waiters Ricardo, gave excellent service. The rooms had no hotel information in them therefore we had to go back and forwards to reception in order to find out various things. ie. WiFi code, dining times, pool times etc. The main bed in our room was very comfortable but the sofa bed left a lot to be desired and should have been disposed of at least 10 years ago. Very uncomfortable.

The beds were terrible and killed my back. The water was never hot enough. We checked in and only found three hangers for the both of us. The transportation to city center was really an issue. The shuttle to the subway station 10 minutes away was not frequent enough and left early at times. Taxis and Uber were extremely/impossible diffucult to get. If you had specific events in the city to get to the cost would be 35-45 euros each way. I found a hotel next to Roma Termini central train station for the same price for the night before departing Rome.

Rudest person in Italy works here.

First, I will say the hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are very nice. HOWEVER, I would not suggest to anyone to stay at this hotel because of the rude staff. We checked in on Sunday, October 5th. The young woman that is the receptiontist was the ABSOLUTELY RUDEST PERSON we encountered during our entire 3 week vacation in Europe. Any question we asked her,The answer was always, \"I don't know.\" in a snotty tone. \"When does the shuttle leave for the metro?\" \"I don't know.\" \"How much is the metro?\" \"I don't know.\" \"Do you know where a laundry is?\" \"I don't know.\" If she were my employee, I would fire her. We talked to other people during the breakfast, and they were complaining about her too.

Close to Ciampino Airport

We arrived early and still got our room, the staff waited 10 minutes for us to get the last morning shuttle so we could get to the Metro station. About a 20 minute Metro into the centre of Rome. Room was clean, comfortable and breakfast was great. Continental and some hot food, eggs, bacon and sausages. The pool looked lovely, unfortunately we didnt have time to use it.

Excellent access to Rome's attractions

We spent two nights at this Hotel. We were in room 34 and oddly had some disturbance from what seemed like the adjoining room both nights even though on one night it was unoccupied. This took the form of mild slamming on a regular basis. When mentioned to the reception staff they could not account for it. However the room was 1st rate although I have never experienced such hot water almost to the point of scolding if you are not careful. The food was good and apart from one female receptionist who really didn't seem to have any time for you the staff were excellent. The one great benefit, however, is the shuttle service to the nearest Metro that takes you all the way into the centre of Rome where you can pick up a hop on hop off open top tour of all the main attractions just outside the central station. The fact that there is free parking at this Hotel is another bonus so highly recommended.

This hotel is on the edge of the countryside and in order to get into the city centre you need to get a bus or shuttle bus (provided by the hotel but only runs until 9.50pm during the week) followed by a half hour metro journey. For those wanting a city break or for those who would rather stay out a bit later and not have to keep an eye on bus times it is not really suitable. People with a car, families and older people may appreciate this hotel more than we did. The pool area is lovely and the hotel itself is quite decent. Breakfast is adequate and there is variety available. We were a bit disappointed that there was nowhere outside for us to sit - the bar shuts at 7.30pm and we didn't even have chairs in our hotel room. It was a pleasant stay overall but wish we had booked somewhere more central

Great Location

This was 2nd time we have stayed here and will do so again. It's so convenient for trains and metro into Rome and to Ciampino Airport, yet feels like it's out in the quiet countryside. An aeroplane goes over now and then but it's not intrusive. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Was concerned though that the reception desk was left unattended whilst customer details and passports were in full view, not good in this day and age, hopefully this won't happen again now it's been highlighted.

Nice hotel, basic, reasonable value

The rooms were fairly basic, but equipped with everything needed for a few days in the area. The breakfast buffet was quite limited, but the restaurant was ok, and I'm sure the pool area is very nice when the season is in full swing. One thing the place could benefit from is a bar area - the only social area is the restaurant, and it would be nice to unwind after a long day with a drink before dinner!

Quedé completamente enamorado de este hotel. Desde el primer día, la atención de todo el personal fue excepcional: amables, atentos y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Las instalaciones son preciosas, con camas amplias y comodísimas, y unos baños espectaculares.
El desayuno fue excelente, con gran variedad y productos de muy buena calidad. Además, el hotel ofrece un servicio de traslado gratuito hasta la estación de metro de Cinecittà, lo cual facilita muchísimo moverse por toda Roma, incluyendo el Vaticano y todas las zonas turísticas. Al regreso, el mismo hotel te recoge justo donde te dejó, un detalle que marca la diferencia.
Durante nuestros seis días en Roma, el Hotel Piccolo Borgo hizo que nuestra estancia fuera maravillosa, cómoda y muy especial. ¡Les doy una puntuación del 100%! Gracias a todo el equipo por hacer que nuestra experiencia fuera tan amena y memorable.
¡Mil gracias por todo! Sigan así, son realmente lo mejor de Roma.

La struttura è ottima, il posto è anche molto tranquillo in periferia, l'unico problema se così si può definire è che è proprio sulla linea di atterraggio di alcune linee aeree su aereoporto di Ciampino per cui durante il giorno, per fortuna non di notte, specialmente alla prima volta che succede, quando arriva l'aereoplano si fa un salto dal rumore. Comunque molto buona la camera, ottima la pulizia, molto buona la colazione

Olvidé tomar la foto a la cama eran dos mini camas juntas era un colchón más alto que otro a cada rato teníamos que levantarnos a organizarlas en la madrugada me caí entre medio de las mini camas y me hice daño mi novio que tenia que trabajar muy temprano estaba muy cansado

Piccolo Borgo - Jederzeit wieder..

Unser Aufenthalt war absolut zufriedenstellend, das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, egal ob an der Rezeption oder beim Zimmerservice.
Hervorzuheben wäre noch der Shuttle-Service zur Metro, der in der Beschreibung gar nicht erwähnt wurde und von dem wir angenehm überrascht wurden und ihn auch täglich in Anspruch genommen haben.
Einen kleinen negativen Aspekt haben wir dann doch noch : Die Auswahl beim Frühstück könnte man etwas abwechsungsreicher gestalten, Gemüse wie etwa Tomaten oder Gurken wurden gar nicht angeboten.
Alles in Allem war es aber ein schöner Aufenthalt, bei einem nächsten Mal in Rom würden wir dort wieder buchen.
