This is a great hotel if you don’t mind being away from the hustle and bustle of Sirmione. Excellent staff, pool, restaurant. Showers and rooms are small but they are only there for you to sleep right?! Would recommend.

Nice place to stay. Food options are very nice and right at the location. There was some live music one evening at dinner hour. Pool was nice with plenty of lounge chairs. Lots of nice outdoor sitting areas with tables and chairs. Staff are all friendly. Room was on the cozy side but was adequate for the basics. Short walk to Garda Lake. Short drive to some great wineries nearby. Overall a great place to stay.

Lovely proprietor. The service was lovely and stress free. I visited during a busy time of year and they handled it well. There was no mini frig in the room which I would have appreciated.
It is a bit away from the old town of Sirmione. But, there are bicycles available for the 20 minute ride to the center. Which I highly recommend after seeing the line of cars seeking parking when I visited.

On the evening of our stay we bought a bottle of wine for the room and the waiter gave us some chocolate in a bowl which we didn’t end up eating. In the morning the room was covered in ants they were all over our clothes on the desk in suitcases and in the bowl. Totally unacceptable.

Lovely hotel, a small but clean and modern room with wonderful skylight and blackout blinds. The wifi was not working for a day or so during our stay but otherwise worked well. The restaurant downstairs was convenient as well as the option to hire bikes from reception! Buses stop right outside both in the direction of Sirmione and Garda/Verona.

Conveniently located between Peschiera and Sirmione, a car would be required to get around the area, but otherwise was a great stay. Comfortable, clean, AC, pool, free parking, great breakfast selection, easy checkin...both of us were very happy with the stay and especially the price.

The hotel is not centrally located but ok with a car or bikes. The place is spotlessly clean and although extremely basic it was sufficient for a short stay. There was no safety deposit or hot drinks kettle in the room - the TV had no English speaking channels. The biggest dissapointments were the way the view was obscured by a high walled balcony you could only see over if you stood on a chair! What a tragedy in such a beautiful location! And the size of the room was very small! The bathroom was spacious and the shower hot and powerful with decent towels though not much space to put toiletries or a tooth brush - again an indicator of the basicness of the hotel. The restaurant attached does really superb food! But the service is slow and chaotic! Such a shame as it was the best pizza and pasta we had in our whole Italian stay but chasing your food is no fun! The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of whole food and healthy options, gluten free products and generally a very big range! Good bonus! The friendliness and willingness of the staff to be helpful was also surprisingly poor. They were not very helpful to us with my husband having recent injury on his leg which was in a brace. We asked for a room upgrade for a little more space and on hotels com it was £20 a night more which was fine with us, but they wanted us to pay rack rate which was 3 times more. They wouldn't let us cancel and rebook through the existing hotels booking to save £. Things to work on!

Nice place, but front rooms could be noisy in prime time. We booked based on price, location, parking and breakfast. We stayed only one night in late October 2013, and asked to be switched to a rear room. Clean, comfortable and centrally located between Sirmione and Peschiera. We would use it again, but a couple of others in the area also looked inviting.

The hotel Dogana is located near a main road and a 10 minute walk away from the Lago di Garda. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has excellent food at reasonable prices. We loved trips on the lake and visiting little towns around the lake.

Good Choice for Sirmione
The hotel is a little bit dated but perfectly ok for what you pay. The breakfast is very average, but again all you can expect for the price. The hotel is about 3 or 4 miles away from Sirmione centre but when compared to the rates for hotels in the centre, its a good option. The swimming pool is nice and clean and is an added bonus.

The staff at the Dogana hotels was very friendly and assisted with just about all our needs. The restaurant has great food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the hotel is located on the outskirts of the city and inconvenient and lowered my overall rating as there are better values closer to the city.

We enjoyed the nice athmotphere, friendly and serviceminded owners and staff. The food was great. 5 min walk to the lakeside and bath, we rented bikes at the house next to Dogana and biked up to old town Sirmione. We also appreciated the pool. Everything was clean and nice.

Hotellet framsto moderne på innsiden og litt staselig på utsiden. De i resepsjonen var hyggelige og vi fikk hjelp med det vi trengte. Frokosten var bra, bassenget var bra og restauranten som holdt til i samme bygg hadde god mat.
Det som evt kan trekke ned er at vi fant noen maur inne på gulvet på rommet, men det plagde ikke oss. Du må også være forberedt på at hotellet ligger litt utenfor de største tettstedene, men det anbefales.

Schöne, etwas in die Jahre gekommene Hotelanlage mit angrenzendem Pool. Das Restaurant im Haus kann ohne Einschränkungen empfohlen werden. Tolle Auswahl, sehr gut gekocht. Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt betrachtet wunderbar. Das Hotel ist frisch renoviert und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Sauberkeit und der Service waren super. Der Fahrradverleih des Hotels war unkompliziert und günstig. Sehr lobenswert war auch die Pizzaria, die direkt am Hotel angebaut ist.
Leider gab es keinen Safe und Kühlschrank am Zimmer und die gut befahrene Straße hat am Pool etwas gestört. Aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Comoda la posizione per visitare la zona. Comodo il parcheggio, se si trova posto. Personale poco presente, distratto. Non andate al ristorante o almeno non mangiate la pasta cacio e pepe .. immangiabile... sapeva solo di pepe e il cacio lo devo ancora sentire... che poi per gli ospiti dell'albergo ci doveva essere uno sconto... lo devo ancora vedere pure quello... camera economy... letto attaccato alla parete, lucernaio. Camera standard spaziosa senza frigobar. Bagno piccolo con distanza tra wc e bidet 10 cm... con uno strano fischio fasridioso che parte quando vuole. Non ho provato la piscina. Colazione: poca scelta, addetta gentile ma disorganizzata. Bevande alla macchinetta..croissant serviti nel sottotazzina da caffè che la devi mangiare sulla tovaglietta. Se dovessi tornare sceglierei un'altra soluzione.

Ho solo pernottato e fatto colazione, in questo splendido albergo tre stelle, e cenato nel ristorante annesso. Consiglio entrambi convintamente, per la pulizia, la cortesia, la cura del dettaglio. Mi si consenta di portare, quale esempio, la prima colazione goduta in una sala pittoresca, ereditata, evidentemente, dalla vecchia dogana e rinfrescata senza tradirne il carattere; qui tavoli imbandite con ogni prelibatezza, come il miele che colava da una sezione di favo direttamente in una ciotola oppure lo sciroppo d'acero autentico e non il solito sciroppo di glucosio colorato e aromatizzato. E potrei andare avanti ancora molto ad enumerare le ragioni per cui vi consiglio questo ottimo, davvero ottimo, albergo.
