The Jolie Ville is more than Hotel & Spa, it is an institute of tranquility and manicured beauty!
Walks from the Villas to the service areas every morning was bliss.
The staff, ranging from room service, gardening, restaurant, simply all are professional and courteous. I miss the warmth and smiles.
To underline my rating, I am a long standing managing director for a prestigious european aviation group. I have travelled and experienced stays over 30 years, and this resort is an institution.
Certainly there is a choice, with stunning 5Star resorts, yet the Jolie Ville is one of a kind and I hope it remains as is, even coming of age, as long as I can visit.
Kudos to the management!

The reception area needs a lot of organization and space. Employees are so busy that no one answers the phone. They have desks more like tables and everything is a mess! Papers everywhere, hard to talk to them without everyone overhearing! Very noisy busy area I was asked to wait for hours in the area no welcome drink or anything until my room was ready.
I had reserved transfer from airport with a confirmation but unfortunately no pick up was made! While checking in I was asked to pay the transfer!!! I was so angry and had to prove it didn’t happen, what a welcoming experience to a relaxing vacation!
I had reserved half board and when I went to dinner I was stopped at the door to pay, when I protested they let me in no verification!!!!
The main restaurant, buffet style, has poor quality and variety of food, not at all what I expected from a 5 star hotel. I am used to staying in hotels in Egypt and restaurants are all dazzling with all sorts of food creations, art and taste!
Staff is local very kind and friendly but they don’t know how to talk to hotel guests. As if they were hired without training. I visited that same hotel 20 yrs ago, so different!
I booked last minute, almost double the price, a deluxe room. Spacious, clean but again, being used to 5 stars hotel rooms I see missing: bathrobe, slippers and all bathroom kits! Lately I see loofah, shaving kit, toothbrush and toothpaste, shower cap, vanity kit,… where are these? Fridge was empty, 2 water bottles in room.

Dear Expedia Traveler Resolutions Team and Jolie Hotel Management,

I recently stayed at Jolie Hotel, booked through Expedia Booking Email: [Your Booking Email]). Unfortunately, the accommodation was unacceptable and did not meet basic standards of cleanliness and comfort.

The first room was uninhabitable due to a bathroom full of bacteria and mold. Hot water took about 15 minutes to arrive with sufficient pressure. The toilet malfunctioned, requiring multiple flushes and failing to dispose of toilet paper properly. Outdoor lounges and chairs were dirty and outdated. The bed was excessively hard with too few pillows, and the bedding was dusty and stained. Throughout the room, including windows, shower screens, sills, and carpets, there were visible stains and dirt. Essential amenities such as shampoo and shavers were missing.

Although I was moved to a second room, it still failed to meet acceptable hygiene and comfort standards.

I have attached photos documenting the conditions of both rooms.

I request a full refund for the nights affected and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Please respond promptly to this complaint.

Check in and check out were a disaster. Staff were extremely rude and dismissive to us. Our room was not ready for more than an hour after check in time. We had to wait in line for over 40 minutes just to speak to someone at check in. When we were leaving needed to leave to catch our flight out of Luxor, no one came to drive us back to the lobby from our very remote room. Rooms and service were nowhere near “five star” quality. Frustrating and unpleasant experience. Never again!

Cons : you need to be shuttled around to your rooms from reception. Far away from restaurants so only option is to eat here unless you want to be taxied out. Restaurants get full. Buffet restaurant will be your main option. Expensive compared to the quality of food. Check-in process very slow. If you have morning tours like people usually do for hot air balloons, you need to get shuttled to reception first.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Just over 5k from the centre of Luxor but a different world. The gardens are beautiful and it is so peaceful. There is no hassle and you can wander round the grounds without being bothered
The rooms are spacious and very clean
There is enough choice for breakfast and for your evening meal
The staff are very professional and cannot do enough for you. English is widely spoken and understood
We loved this place so much that we have booked another week later in December

Check in took forever followed by getting to our room for two people and no waters. The toiletries in the bathroom were used. What should be included in the amenities is the sauna but that cost extra money. Getting a cart to the room took multiple calls to reception. The rooms were outdated but the location and beauty is unmatched.

This property located on an island. It’s like a paradise in bustling Luxor. It’s very interesting to experience the crowds and calmness in the same day. The food is not great, but good enough for us. The staff are friendly. We love to sit at the east bank of the Nile river waiting for the beautiful sunset. It’s amazing. You can also see the hot air balloons flying up from the west bank of the river in early morning when enjoying the breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Jolie Ville, like Luxor, like all of Egypt has exceptional hospitality. the location is beside the Nile and optimal for watching the Sunset. Will 3 pools there is one for everybody's preference. the breakfast buffet allows you a myriad of delectable choices everyday of the week. We fully enjoyed our stay and Jolie Ville is not far from downtown Luxor but also far enough away to be quiet calm and spacious.

I was nervous about choosing this hotel based on some reviews (of being cut off and a bit out of the way from the attractions) but we had an excellent experience- nothing was far away and I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a safe haven in what is otherwise a very hectic environment of Luxor town (east bank) where we were constantly swamped by taxi drivers and people trying to sell you something in the centre of town. We felt really safe in Jolie Ville because there is security at the entry gate and once you drive in through the expansive gardens to Reception, you aren’t bothered at all. A buggy then drives you to your room.Rooms are spacious, the ones with Nile view are amazing to watch the sun setting. Great balcony. The winner is the peaceful, lush grounds full of beautiful flowers, trees and exotic birds. You have 3 pools and you’re right on the Nile bank. The view is therefore amazing. 4 restaurants, the food was good, a great spa, we had excellent massages, hair and nail salon and daily activities plus afternoon tea on a boat on the Nile. This was my second stay, and we had a fantastic time. I thought I had booked a larger room, and was a bit disappointed when I arrived. Spoke with the manager and he was kind enough to take time out of his day to accommodate us and get us upgraded to a much larger room (for a fare difference). Everyone is always super helpful and nice to guests. This is somewhere that everyone should get to enjoy if and when they find themselves in southern Egypt. Especially families!

Amazing attention to detail. The room was immense, immaculate and so comfortable. The bathroom was awash with free goodies and slippers. Room was clean and very well presented. The air con worked and was quiet. The lighting both bright and dim to cover every eventuality.

The polls are spotless and the attendant are happy to help and are pleasant and polite.

An array of restaurants available to choose from.

The grounds were immaculately and so clean. They an actively fight mosquito’s every evening. The staff are super friendly and will go out of their way to help.

I hope to visit again soon

Not transparent with pricing for activities at the resort. Called originally and quoted 130 Egypt pounds per person for sail boat and then once downstairs at lobby was $ 12 usd per person . The tea and soda on the boat was twice as much of boat . Had hotel arrange car to airport and banged up car from 1970s with carpet on seats . Barely made it to the airport . The last item of frustration was paid for breakfast buffet but had to catch an early tour and wanted to take one croissant and banana for my son and lead restaurant person accused my of trying just to take the stuff . He eventually apologized once I told him I am here with large party and already spent hundreds of usd at dinners and etc and I have a breakfast included with my stay . All in like 2.5 star US hotel which needs to improve on their hospitality to make to a solid 3 stars

Our room was really spacious!! Could have been handicap accessible because it had that much space!! Staff was super friendly, welcoming and attentive! The property is huge, so you are able to call for a cart to come pick you up! We ate at the Asian restaurant which was okay! Lobby is always busy but I would say the grounds are pretty quiet. The pool with slide obviously attracts more kids than the one located closer to the lobby. You will need an outlet adapter. The hotel does have some but we weren't able to get them to work. Pro Tip* the outlet in the bathroom under the hair dryer works with a normal US plug (wink)

Beautiful resort for some peace and tranquility. Pools were so relaxing, food was delicious. Views are spectacular and breathtaking. I stayed with my family two adults and two teens. Almost want to keep this place a secret so it doesn’t get overrun. Try their ice creams everyday, book a felluca ride early on. check the activity board for daily activities (fishing on the nile). Other guests are so respectful limiting noise, everyone picks up after themselves, greeting each other. Staff are respectful and friendly.

One of the best holiday we have had so far! I know may people have commented on how beautiful the grounds of this property is, but i need to reiterate that is wonderfully gorgeous. The staff could not do enough to ensure our comfort, they were so courteous, warm and welcoming. I travelled with my teenagers and we had a fantastic few days. Resort is very well designed , rooms are spacious and pool
is very relaxing.

The property is big and very wel maintain in landscaping, room amenities poor and the cleaning attendant rude and didn’t clean our room, I never get any of the perks from being a vip property, food below average, service is great though

The resort was on an island in the Nile and had beautiful grounds, swimming pools including an infinity pool, nice restaurants and good rooms. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Very good value for money. Would highly recommend and would love to spend more time there
