Consider this before you book!

I stayed at this hotel because of the good reviews about cleanliness. The property, lobby, room — you can tell someone puts extra effort into keeping those things up. However, I have a few things that made us decide not to stay here again. #1) The HORRIBLE SMELL. The elevator, hallways smelled so musty and also smelled like marijuana! The room smelled just as bad, and I believe this is true because the air was off when we got in. It was so overwhelming. I also believe the carpets are not clean. When I leaned over to pick something off of the floor, the carpets smelled like the atmosphere. I’m convinced the reason for the odor is the carpets are filthy. They are very dark carpets so you can’t see the dirt, and I never walk barefoot in hotels. I always wear slippers so I couldn’t confirm that but I believe it with everything in me. I went to bed and couldn’t sleep for a while because of the odor in the carpet. The bed was comfortable though and we could tell the sheets were fresh and clean. Last thing I will say about the room is that we did find another guest’s trash in one of the cabinets and the refrigerator door handle was missing. #2) When we walked in to check in there was a note on the desk to call for assistance. No one was at the desk so we called and we were told that someone would come. It took about 10 min but a young woman came and she was very polite and apologized for the wait. Once she arrived, check in weren’t very smoothly. I can tell she needs more help.

Where do I began this hotel needs to be closed down? READ the reviews for yourself. Do not book through Hotels.com (expedia) neither through the hotel itself your refund will be denied by the people who are running it (family owned establishment) want money but too cheap to make necessary repairs to make hotel operable but willing to collect the hard earned dollars of American citizens. Upon arriving at desk a phone number was listed for you to call then a lady came to the desk. She checked me into the hotel then told me that the elevator was broken and told me I had to take the stairs. Upon entering the staircase I observed it was filthy never been cleaned with a wet floor sign in the middle of floor and a broken EXIT sign above the door. Upon walking to my room the hallway on the second floor appeared to be clean except for chipped paint on the walls. Upon entering the room the bathroom was clean but the toilet was hard to flush and needs repairs. The kitchen cabinets and living room areas had chipped paint as well. The TV was so small that you had to sit up close in order to see it. The brown chair /couch near the bed had a broken leg and was leaning and the chair at the desk/table needs to be thrown in the trash the paint was so chipped that it was falling all over the floor. The A/C unit and heater also didn't work.The sheets and blanket were shockingly clean but they only gave you two flimsy pillows. READ Google reviews!

Check in was as smooth as gold. Mr A was super friendly and funny. We came in as a family of 3 with a dog, $25 pet free but they are pet friendly as advertised. The room was super clean and was very large. Even the bathroom! WiFi was on point and they even have breakfast!!! Laundry room on sight, weight room. These people want your business and by the way the room and staff were they definitely will be referred while we are here. The only downfall was the morning lady we crossed paths with. We got up for breakfast at 6:30 and there was nothing set out for cups when it came to coffee, creamer was out. Oatmeal and nutri bars for breakfast was set up. Other than that this stay was super pleasant and a 9/10 in my eyes!!! Thank you for having us!

This is too run down for the price there was. Chalk sign (obviously created by a tenant) that said ‘ if you are new - welcome. If you stay here - FUVK YOU!’ Very large on the sidewalk entering the hotel - classless

I saw a review about the place having remodeling months ago so I had hope that wouldn’t be the case and yet it still was, we had a cabinet with a door, also some dirty and bottle cap on floor, and at arrival found a cockroach in bathroom,

Beside that the room was still nice had a stove, microwave, bed was comfy, lights all worked, shower was great. It had its ups and down. I think if they get all the remodeling done the place will be pretty good I hope it’s does. I know it’s hard to be perfect. Though some could have been better

Met the main thing a place to sleep

We were in Baton Rouge for games at LSU but there was a Garth Brooks concert at LSU Saturday so hotels were sold out for miles and miles. This was the best rated hotel we could find and it did what we needed in we had a place to sleep. We had very little interaction with anyone other than to check in and she did assist in making sure we had an accessible room. We were a bit concern with cleanliness as the white towels were more yellow. The fridge was very clean but plate in cabinet was dirty and lacked useable utensils. The beds were comfortable but again not very comfortable with cleanliness. Location and hotel is obviously more suitable for people working at the refinery or other nearby places. But yet it was a unique trip in the back roads we were able to travel along the Mississippi.

Just enough for 1 night!

There was a shift change when we checked. I’ll start there…we were given a room…go to the room…attempted to open…the latch was on…it was occupied!! Someone was sleeping with tv on. We go back downstairs to get a new one. Get to that room…it hasn’t been cleaned!!! At this point. I’m livid, and don’t know what to think about the hotel. I’m skeptical about what I’d find next! We get ANOTHER room…this one turned out fine. Beds were a bit rocky but ok for 1 night. I’d give this hotel a 5/10. Not a place I’d stay in often nor recommend unless it was the only thing left. Which was my case

The staff, especially late evening and overnight staff were wonderful. Helpful, informative, very pleasant and eager to assist.
We know there are mechanical malfunctions often but the inconvenience of a non working elevator was dreadful. Mostly because of the smoking allowed in the hallways and stairwells as well as each and every entry into the building. Us asthma sufferers were miserable. The beds were comfortable and the showers were wonderful. The exhaust fans in the bathrooms were on but non functional. The room smelled like mold and cigarette smoke.
The pool was sorely neglected but we used it and hot tub as well as exercise machines and were hoping we didn't get sick from the conditions of the pool. Overall, it was a good nights sleep but the facilities need quite a bit of maintenance and repairs.

As we entered the front entry looked really nice. As we checked in the lady wasnt very friendly. She was checking us in and said oh i see yall used expedia. The she asked for a credit card which i thought was weird but ok maybe they wasnt a card on file incase of damage. Got to room they charged us again even though we paid through Expedia. Went back down stairs after a few min and after her finally getting manager they did a refund but took forever for them to print me a receipt incase it doesnt go back on card. This is an extended stay motel and they say no smoking. Our floor smelled awful like cigarettes. Yes they knew because one id the front desk came to or floor and mentioned it while we was in hallway. One of the ppl down the hall pulled trash outside there room. It was there all weekend (both sides of their door) yes they knew because same front desk lady seen it and said she wasn't gonna deal with it. You step off or on the elevator u are consumed with smell is stinky trash because there was food trash by trash can all weekend. The shower was half clean. The fridge was nasty looked like it hadnt Been cleaned in a while upon further inspection there was a to go container if food left in there The mold had mold and i am not talking about a few spots it was like a blanket. As we was leaving this morning i looked at the pic next bed there was either snot or other fluids on it. As we checked out nobody asked how our stay was. Barely spoke.

The room was very clean, it was also a lot larger than I expected. It had a full size refrigerator, and a cooktop. We enjoyed our one night stay. The only negative thing I can say was that they didn't offer extra pillows and I like lots of pillows. But other than that, no complaints!
