The hotel itself is lovely, you can see that a lot of effort has been put into the decor - especially the terrace area. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay too much. My partner ordered the mushroom risotto and let’s just say it did not sit well with him. On top of that it was the most overpriced food we ever had in a hotel. I ordered a starter soup and it was less the size than a cappuccino cup. My salad was 21 euros, which is already overpriced but then it was also disappointingly basic. A big chunk of green leaves with two round goats cheeses. Barely anything else. Maybe 2 chopped up tomatoes and 5-6 tiny pieces of cucumber. Less than a spoonful of apple ragout. In the morning light we saw that the toilet seat was very stained. It looked clean but that’s still unappealing and I hope they‘ll replace it. The shower drain was clogged up, too. So the bathroom can do overall with a better upkeep.

We had a lovely stay, the hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. The only things missing in the rooms were a kettle and a fridge. Reception staff were very helpful booking taxis for us, however we did find that we were overcharged on numerous occasions by the taxi drivers.

Nice, refurbished hotel a fel points to note

A really nice hotel for a few days to explore the area. A very nice outdoor restaurant area with plenty of big parasols to provide cover.

We stayed in the slightly larger “Delux rooms” and these rooms were fairly recently renovated and in top class. I really could not find any faults with the room as such, apart from the fact that these rooms (in the old part of the hotel) do not have air conditioning. This was an issue for us in mid August when it was 33 degrees (outside and probably hotter in the room), but won’t be an issue most times of the year. For the first night they had run out of portable fans, which you think they should provide all these rooms. We got fans the second night, probably because I requested this early in the morning...

We were not disturbed by any noise and rooms had blackout curtains. However if the hotel is hosting e.g. a wedding, i can see how the noise may travel to many of the rooms.

The swimming pool and relaxation area is top notch and our kids loved the time in there.

There is free WiFi in the hotel, but the WiFi coverage in the room was very patch and you had to keep very close to the corridor for it to work. I had to to revert to using my mobile phone 4G for some work sessions.

Overall it is a very good hotel and we would certainly consider staying again, but would then consider the slightly small standard rooms, which would provide air conditioning and be at a cheaper price.

Great stay!

We had a great weekend (1 night stay) relaxing, swimming and enjoying the sauna. The hotel is in a residential area which is quite nice and quiet, close to city center. Nice restaurants, great service and free parking. Wonderful breakfast. Nice, large room, comfy bed. Only the WiFi was very weak in the room and the gym was very small and not suitable for a proper workout.

Good hotel with mediocre management

The hotel was located within walking distance of the town with excellent local shopping and services. The hotel was modern with good amenities and excellent breakfast buffet and higher end dinner cuisine. The staff was efficient if not overtly friendly. I had informed them that our flight lands early in the morning at 6 AM and was given a room after breakfast at 10 AM. The stay was marred as they gave us a room for our week long stay, which was directly above a wedding function on our last night. When we returned to room after dinner and inquired, staff said it would go on to 4 AM. We requested a change of rooms and spent almost two hours between packing and relocating and was given a newly renovated room by the restaurant waitstaff doubling as front desk and housekeeping after the regulars left. Since hotel knew wedding was taking place well in advance, why were we assigned an older room above the function which caused the floor of the concrete room to shake. Also the original unrenovated room had a shower stall with double doors which didn't seal correctly so the water created a small flood in the bathroom each day which was abated by putting towels around the stall. The staff had to pick up ten pounds of wet towels each day. On checkout, front desk waived the set of breakfast and drinks we had in the restaurant and bar to address our inconvenience. I would recommend the hotel if you're able to get a newer room which wasn't listed on the travel sites I viewed.

Too hot!

In 30C weather was given a room known to have a problem in that the radiator was constantly on and could not be turned off. Had to move rooms after showering, drying hair and nearly expiring. Meant I missed pre-dinner drink already ordered in the bar and late for taxi. No apology, recompense etc. Also no air conditioning in hotel, so avoid in hot weather. Noisy after going to bed due to late night revellers on a terrace just outside my window (which had to be open due to lack of air conditioning!)

I visited for a wedding that was held in the hotel. Everything went great during the wedding and besides that things went smoothly. In general everything was fine except there was no temperature control in the rooms. It got really hot and it was a bit uncomfortable at times. A fan was placed in the room which made it a bit better. Not sure if this was

Great place to stay if you need to be in this area with plush rooms and a beautiful bar & restaurant to enjoy the great food on offer, only lacking tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Not an area to choose to stay in if you are looking for things to do for a holiday type stay but a great hotel non the less.

The hotel was great. Room was spacious and modern. The restaurant and bar were great and had a rustic feel. The staff spoke English. The bed was a bit hard. If you don't plan on eating breakfast every morning of your stay, don't check the box on the check in form or you will be charged even if you don't eat.

Alles okay soweit - und dafür zu teuer

Der Empfang hätte freundlicher sein können, da hat uns die Herzlichkeit gefehlt - was schade ist, denn der erste Eindruck prägt ja die Stimmung.

Das Zimmer war okay - guter Durchschnitt, nicht weniger, nicht mehr. Das Bett war sehr bequem.

Da wir eine externe Veranstaltung besucht haben, konnten wir das Restaurant und den Wellness-Bereich nicht nutzen. Für eine reine Übernachtung ist der Zimmerpreis unangemessen hoch (ich übernachte 70x pro Jahr und glaube, das beurteilen zu können) - zumal in Kamp-Lintfort.

Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar an einer stark befahrenen Straße; die idyllischen Fotos hier vermitteln einen falschen Eindruck.

Völlig drüber ist unserer Meinung nach der Preis von 25€ pro Person fürs Frühstück. 100m die Straße runter ist eine Bäckerei mit nettem Café, da gibt es ein bezahlbares Frühstück.

Wir würden beim nächsten Mal vermutlich eher nach einem anderen Hotel schauen.

Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft. Alle sind sehr nett und herzlich. Alles ist super sauber und sehr modern. Die Anlage ist einfach wunderschön. Das Frühstück morgens am See hat uns am besten gefallen. Zudem ausreichend Parkplätze und eine tolle Anbindung an Busse.

Das Wellings Parkhotel ist wunderschön, war schon zu dritten mal dort, das zweite mal im 4 Bettzimmer. Hier ist alles sehr gut, aber auf der Toilette fehlt ein Spiegel und im Duschbad gab es keinen Mülleimer, das sollte geändert werden. Ansonsten tolles edles Haus. Immer wieder gerne.

Klimaanlage funktioniert schlecht. TV Kanäle sind aufgeführt, aber nicht eingestellt. Ständige Aussetzern. Die betten Kunden auch eine Erneuerung verbrauchen. Das Essen im Restaurant qualitativ hochwertig. Die Bedienung am Abend war hervorragend.

Wir haben mit unseren beiden Kindern ein Familienzimmer gebucht. Tolles Zimmer, gut durchdacht. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Frühstück und Service waren sehr gut, das Personal sehr freundlich.
Schade war nur, dass wir das Schwimmbad auf Grund von Wartungsarbeiten nicht nutzen konnten, aber das muss ja auch mal gemacht werden.

Der Aufenthalt war wunderbar. Das Hotel ist optisch sehr ansprechend und die Mitarbeiter*Innen waren stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Wellnessbereich war etwas klein für die Größe des Hotels, allerdings gibt es wohl schon Bauaurbeiten um diesen zu vergrößern.
Einzig die Matratze war uns beiden zu hart. Alles andere war prima. Frühstück war toll und Abends haben wir beide Male eines der Restaurants genutzt mit sehr leckerem Essen.

Super! Vom Taxiruf bis zur Unterbringung meines Koffers in einem separaten Raum. Auch das Frühstück war in der Früh fertig (6:30 Uhr am Samstag), es wurde nicht noch umgeräumt, etc. Die Bedienung am Buffet war sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. TOP !

Einfach hervorragend!
Als Geschenk von den Eltern waren unsere drei Töchter (46, 39 und 34) Gast in diesem wunderbaren Hotel. Ihre Begeisterung war so riesengroß (alles bestens von bis Z), dass sich alle drei als Weihnachtsgeschenk einen weiteren gemeinsamen Aufenthalt im Wellings Parkhotel gewünscht haben. Lt. Buchung wäre die Minibar kostenlos gewesen, Minibar war aber gar keine vorhanden. Vermutlich deswegen kostenlos.
Entertainment veraltet.
Keine kostenlose Getränke (Wasser) in der Lobby vorhanden.
