For a Van der Valk hotel it is very average.
To be honest the hotel is a bit dated. Nothing wrong but I expect a little bit better from a Van der Valk Hotel.
Breakfast spread was very nice but hot food luke warm.

Der Service war wirklich klasse, und die freundliche Dame beim Frühstück hat meinen Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht! Beim nächsten Mal würde ich mich für ein Comfort Plus Zimmer entscheiden, da das zur Parkseite gelegen ist und es dort ruhiger ist. Auch die Einrichtung könnte ein kleines Update vertragen, aber insgesamt habe ich meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

I would like to say I am a fan of Van der valk but this hotel really ruined my impression of it because of the check in staff who was really inhospitable and unhelpful. I always enjoy my stays in Van der valk in the Netherlands but this was a bust.

Decent hotel but short comings

Stayed here for one night, price was good and actually cheaper via Hotels.com than with the hotel directly.
The hotel is large and grand (typical of the brand) with a huge outdoor car park with no height restrictions.
Room was pleasant and clean but as is the case with all German Van Der Valk Hotels the standard room was no way near as nice as the more modern Dutch ones. Worth staying when rates are low but not when high. Be warned in summer rooms would be boiling as no AC.
Good breakfast buffet.
Hotel let down by poor service at reception. Arrived in room and there was no TV remote so could not watch TV. Called reception and was told there was nothing that could be done. Eventually went to reception and convinced them to take a remote from an empty room. Annoying this was missed by cleaning staff and then not quickly resolved by night reception.

Very nice service, lots of space to sit in the lounge, specious room, good breakfast, nice park behind hotel, easy and free car park with lots of space,

Cons: no having air con, it was just way to hot, weird smell in the bathroom, mattress toppers kinda \"sliding\" from the mattress, perhaps too big for a bed size

Vi kom 21.20 og gik straks i restauranten. Men fik at vide den var lukket. Vi havde kørt 850 km, og havde regnet med at kunne spise frem til kl.22, som der står på hjemmesiden.

The rooms are to dark and the bathroom are not Stade of the time.

Exceptional Stay at Van der Valk Hotel

My recent stay at Van der Valk was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the friendly and professional staff made me feel welcome.

The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep every night. The bathroom was also immaculate and well-stocked with toiletries.

The hotel's location was perfect for my needs, as it was close to the Düsseldorf International Airport.

The hotel's breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The restaurant and bar were also great, with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Van der Valk Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Düsseldorf. The combination of excellent service, comfortable rooms, and great location make it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Wifi fungerade inte. Påtalade det och det snart skulle vara fixat men fungerade inte på hela vistelsen.
Vaknade av brandlarmet kl 5-6 på morgonen höll på i ca 10 min. Efter det höll någon på att hamra. Väldigt lyhört.
Påtalade problemen vid utcheckning men ingen kompensation erbjöds.

I was disappointed with the staff at the reception. Limited friendliness was easy to overlook but their unwillingness / incapability to exchange a malfunctioning blow dryer was annoying.
Part of the reason why I booked the hotel was the offer for room service on the website. At the reception this was denied until I pointed out the website commitment during corona which made it available all of a sudden - but the food came way later than ordered.

The whole family could not sleep; the room was intolerably hot and noisy. No air conditioning and the fridge was not working. We opened the windows to have some fresh air in the room but sleep was even more difficult because of loud music from a wedding at the hotel.

Unfortunately, there were wasps in the room and I was bitten very seriously! The window had to be kept closed because of wasps and there was no air condition, so the room was too hot and the stay was a nightmare - also walking along the long, unaired corridors was very unpleasant. However, the food was excellent as ever (even better than before).

Good hotel, had some issues with the front desk when checking in, as in the instructions to the room were a bit vague, but it was largely because the stair/elevator design is poor - there are half floors below the main one, and you have to walk your luggage up or down stairs to get their. The room was quite comfortable, but the hallways were pretty dark and old in appearance. Still a good value for what you pay in this particular region.

Our stay was comfortable and hotel was convenient to where we needed to be. Our room was quite far from the elevator with four or five steps and a very heavy door to pass through--rather difficult while managing luggage. The door to our room was also very stiff and difficult to unlock and open. However, the room was clean and comfortable, if a little dark. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful.

Very positive experience overall with a personal touch and friendly staff members trying to be flexible to your needs with one exception: Safety for guests was not a key topic. After snowfall followed by icy rain the parking lot was neither cleaned out nor treated with salt, turning gettingt to the car into a dangerous endeavour.

Very disappointed - have stayed at Van Der Valk before (Brugge a number of times). The website clearly stated BREAKFAST INCLUDED and I booked because of this promise. On arrival I was informed that breakfast was another 24 euros. We went to another hotel on our return journey. Please send me the 24 euros that you owe me.

An Excellent Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel at previous visit to Germany.

The location of the hotel is very good. The scenery is beautiful backed by forest and a stream.

The reception very helpful, speaking fluent English language. The food, breakfast and dinner very good with pleasant waiters.

I will definitely visit this hotel again and will recommend it to everybody.

Very nice hotel in a pleasant surrounding.

The hotel is great. Expedia sent me there before and I enjoyed staying there. The facilities are excellent. The rooms are big with Shower and bath tub! Excellent food - breakfast and dinner. The staff were polite and friendly.
Plenty of car parking space. The only drawback is that there is no business center - Computer facility and iron/iron board for a quick straightening. In overall, a very good hotel. I hope to take some friends there later.

I was delayed on my ferry docking to Dunkirk. I had already had Hotel.com phone them to say I would be late, approx 2am. However, with the ferry delay I was thinking I would be stuck as Moers is 3 hours drive from Dunkirk. There was fog to contend with too.
I phoned the hotel on landing and a very polite gentleman assured me not to worry, take my time. There was someone on the desk all night.
I got there at 3:15 and was made welcome. Fully prepared, I was in my room in 5 minutes!

Das Zimmer war wie von dieser Hotelkette gewohnt, sehr geräumig. Wir bevorzugen wen möglich immer ein Van der Valk auf Reisen.

Das Personal war auch dort sehr freundlich und wie immer jederzeit hilfsbereit.

Es hat nur ein Wasserkocher für unser Baby auf dem Zimmer gefehlt, aber das Personal hat uns zu jederzeit mit heißem Wasser versorgt.

Wir kommen wieder!

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Ecken und Beschläge im Zimmer waren sehr abgestoßen. Uns wurde ein Zimmer gegeben, wo Handwerker arbeiteten. Im Ersatzzimmer das gleiche Problem. Handwerker wurden am Telefon vornehm Kunden rund gemacht. Im Zimmer war es sehr muffig und die Lüftung im Bad funktionierte nicht. Am Bett gibt es keine Steckdosen. Frühstück war sehr ausgesucht. Dinge wurden innerhalb von anderthalb Stunden nicht aufgefüllt (z.B. Tomaten, Mettwurst). Kaffeemaschinen waren stark bespritzt mit Kaffee. Geschirr wurde nur sehr langsam abgeholt. Insgesamt versprüht das Hotel den Charme der 1990er Jahre.
Positiv waren die kostenlosen Parkplätze.

De 1ste kamer was ronduit snerig, foto's laten zien bij receptie, hierop andere kamer gekregen.
Ook hier de schoonmaak ver beneden peil. Volgens schoonmaak lag dit aan de doek.
Kan want ze poetsen met een handdoek. Zoveel kalk aan de kranen dat het lekt aan alle kanten.
Kranen ook heel last te mengen of loei heet of koud.
Ontbijt echt niet de kwaliteit die je gewend bent bij vd Valk. Min keuze, broodjes zijn echte afbakbroodjes die je bij de Kaufland koopt. 1ste dag net gaar en 2de dag net te lang. Voor spiegelei moeten vragen en daar 25 minuten op gewacht.
Dit hotel nooit meer!!!

Leider war die Badewanne in einem sehr schlechten Zustand man konnte leider den Hebel zum Wechseln von Duschkopf zu laufenden Wasser aus dem Kran nicht benutzen es war zu schwer gewesen und auch nicht sauber!!
Im Schlafzimmer war das Nacht Licht am Bett kaputt und hing runter, generell das ganze Zimmer brauch mal wieder richtig liebe.
Ich finde es wird nicht mehr auf Sauberkeit und Ordnung geachtet!!!
Wir sind seit 7 Jahre Stammkunden bei Van der Valk und wir müssen echt sagen von Monat zu Monat wird es immer schlechter mit den Zuständen der Zimmer !!!
Preisleistung finde ich nicht mehr fair !!

Das Hotel macht auf den ersten Eindruck einen sehr gehobenen Eindruck. Rezeption, Bar und Restaurant sind das Aushängeschild.
Unser Zimmer (DG; am nördlichen Kopfende) konnte leider nicht zu 100% überzeugen: Begrüßt wird man mit einem sehr intensiven Duft-/Reinigungsmittel-Geruch. Wer empfindlich auf Parfüme bzw. zitronen-lastige Reinigungsmittel ist, wird hier nicht glücklich. Es brennt schon sehr in der Nase. Will man hier etwas überdecken? Frische Luft erhält man nur, wenn man die Kühl-Turbinen der 12 Tesla Supercharger in Kauf nimmt. Aber grundsätzlich rauschte es sowieso enorm in unseren Räumlichkeiten: Das Heizungssystem war trotz warmen Spätsommer sehr aktiv.
Kommen wir zum Hygienebereich: Eine Einhand-Duscharmatur, sowie eine Handbrause, statt festem Wand-Duschkopf wären toll und mehr als zeitgemäß.
Elegante, silbern schimmernde Bodenfliesen sind schön, aber leider sehr rutschig.
Schlafbereich: Die Einzelbetten (zum Doppelbett zusammengestellt) mit einzelnen Toppern, waren leider sehr instabil. Kein Halt an der Sitzkante, die Liegefläche war eingeschränkt , weil der Topper bei Personen >100kg schnell aus der Form gerät. Zum dem kam er mir wenig atmungsaktiv vor (Gummibezug?)
Die sonstige Ausstattung war aber ok. USB Ports oder leicht zugängliche Steckdosen am Bett wären praktisch.
Wir werden uns wohl für einen nächsten Aufenthalt eine Alternative suchen.

Netter Empfang jedoch Zimmer etwas dreckig mit vielen Spinnweben an der Decke. Unser Kind hatte Angst mit der Spinne im Netz übern Bett.
Bad sehr sauber, jedoch Spülung defekt , diese lief selbstständig. Bad-Tür defekt ( der Türgriff viel beim schließen mehrmals aus der Verankerung). Nicht lustig mit Kind.

Der Sanierungsstau (Hotel sollte m. W. abgerissen und neu gebaut werden, hier gab es wohl (wie man hört) Probleme mit der Baugenehmigung) ist unübersehbar. Notwendige Instandsetzungen werden nicht oder nur \"notdürftig\" durchgeführt.
In unserem Zimmer gab eine keinen Internetzugang (kein Empfang). Angeblich höre man das zum ersten mal (Zimmer im UG. 3 verschiedene Geräte (Laptop / Tablet / Handy) probiert. Alle hatten keinen Empfang.
Sowohl im Badezimmer als auch im Zimmer ausgiebig Spinnenweben a. d. Decke (macht ein komisches Gefühl bzgl. Reinigung). Person i. d. R. freundlich. Ich empfehle dem Hotel ein Qualitätsmanagement regelmäßig durchzuführen um die Qualität für die Zimmer aufrecht zu erhalten. Die Dusche, also die Fugen könnten besser geputzt werden damit der Schimmel wegbleibt und die Amaturen könnten mit Antikalk gereinigt werden. Der Standart, das wenigstens das Bett glatt gezogen wird nach dem schlafen müsste geben sein.

Schönes Hotel und super Frühstück. Nur das Wasser in der Dusche brauchte ewig um warm zu werden und ich hätte mir mehr wasserdruck gewünscht, habe ewig gebraucht um meine Haare auszuspülen.
