Not anything special. I was expecting a lot from this place. Since it supposed to be 4 star ish. But, there is no test of 4 star there at all. I had to pay additional 12 euro per day for the parking. That was weird.

Although this hotel is older, I appreciated the fresh look of the bedroom, bath and cupboard space. I loved the ceramic tile in the bathroom. The colors (blue, white, yellow) were bright and inviting. Classic charm!

An excellent hotel with a lot of history
This is a fabulous hotel, with a lot of history (formerly the \"Krefelder Hof\") in itself and surrounded by history, especially as it concerns the silk industry of the 18th century. Many prominent families, like the Von der Leyens, lived and worked in this area. A nearby excellent historical site is Burg Linn, which we discovered more or less by accident.
The hotel offers a fabulous breakfast and has an outstanding restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive and used to dealing with international travelers.
My only criticism: When there are special events (Karneval was approaching during our visit), parking spaces for hotel guests, who pay a daily fee, should be reserved. On one night it was impossible to find parking.

Nice spacious hotel. Large reception area, bedroom clean with nice coffee machine. Bar very cosy and welcoming. The hotel also offers a Car park which is very secure and cost 11 euros per night. A short 20 minute walk into the town where there are many bars and restaurants particularly around the bustling tram station.

Visiting the area and the hotel for the third time for some friends' birthday celebrations in Krefeld. Easy journey from Dusseldorf International to Krefeld. Nice, quiet location, great grounds, very good staff, nice food. Only 'minus' (small one!) is that the rooms are in need of updating - the decor throughout is rather dark and dated. Will definitely be back, though.

Very nice hotel
It is a very nice hotel. My room was big enough for me, for two people a little cramped. The shower stall is a little small and the drainage in the sink did not work well. What Instead of having liquid soap/shampoo dispenser by the sink and in the shower, in addition to a piece of soap and two tubes of extra conditioning shampoo and shower gel, however NO body lotion. There was confusion that my rate had included breakfast. I had NOT paid for breakfast when I booked and paid for the accommodation. It got confusing, when I DID have breakfast and then once or twice had to pay. I paid the waitress in cash, she never gave me a receipt and did nOT return to give me the 2 Euro change. It was my fault, I should have gone after her and request a receipt. She considered the 2 Euros a tip, I assume.

Great Krefeld hotel
Mercure's are almost always nice, this one is no exception. Rooms are typical European - small. But bed is above average for Europe, nice TV and minibar, washroom was nice. The neighborhood is great... setback from the road a bit, but a Kaisers grocery store an easy walk away, great to get snacks etc. Internet on lobby computer is slow and printer was sketchy... did not try the in-room wifi. If visiting in the summer you can ask for a room with air conditioning.

Visited Krefeld for a work meeting and only spent 2 days there. Service was amazing from check in to check out! Breakfast is great, restaurant is ok for lunch and dinner. Nice bar to have a drink and watch the game!

Front desk staff was very professional, very helpful. Our room was very nice. We really liked the decor of yellow and light blue. It is nice to wake up in the morning to these \"sunny\" colors, since the weather was very rainy and unfriendly. We had some issue with the shower head, it had come off. It was fixed the same day. I also thought that the quality of the towels was rather poor, they were very thin. We also would have like a double size bed, but considering the price we paid, we cannot complain.

Clean hotel but not very comfortable
The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood. However, the rooms are not very comfortable. The major issue being, there is no way you can control the temperature in your room. I stayed here in the first week of April and it was pretty warm. The rooms have no thermostat to control the room temperature nor did they have a fan to offer for guests who preferred a cooler temperature in the room.

The only concern that I had was the service on our first evening. We were 23 people for dinner at 2 tables. This had been pre-booked. At my table we had 12 people and since 3 ordered soup, everybody had to wait for the main course ( it appeared)until all other guests in the dining room had been served. We are not used to this, here in Canada and I am wondering whether this is a standard procedure in German hotels. Awaiting your reply.

Good hotel in Krefeld
I stayed at this hotel with my wife and teenage son whilst visiting the local area. The Hotel was clean and the staff very welcoming and helpfull especially as my German is very limited. The room was fine but a bit cramped with the extra bed in. Restaurant and bar were very quiet and prices were high but the exchange rate is not good at the moment. Overall the stay was good but did not realise there was a charge for parking.

This hotel was terrific. The hotel is in a lovely residential area of Krefeld, near Dusseldorf and I woudl stay again.

A well kept modern style hotel
We enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel. It is located about 15 minute's walk from the city centre and the tram stop is about 50 meters away. It is fronted by a mature park area and lies back from the main street. The surrounding area is a well maintained residential area and is very quiet. The hotel offers the kind of service you would expect of a 4-star establishment. It is spotlessly clean, with a old-fashioned level of service at breakfast which included freshly brewed coffee. Parking cost extra per night, but underground secure parking is available if you need it. We were quite happy to park in the open.

Der Service war ausgesprochen gut, die beiden Damen an der Rezeption ( abends und morgens) ausgesprochen freundlich! Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, noch okay, könnte aber Auffrischung gebrauchen!

Die Mitarbeiter an Rezeption und im Service waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
Der Gang vom Aufzug zum Zimmer ist stark renovierungsbedürftig. Die Zimmertüren sind von außen in einem abgewohnten Zustand - das ist rein optisch nicht würdig für ein 4*-Hotel.
Das Zimmer selbst war soweit ordentlich und sauber, kleiner Schreibtisch, gutes Bett.
Minibar wird nur auf Wunsch aufgefüllt (wg. Corona?).

Toen we aankwamen, 14.55 uur was onze kamer nog niet klaar. De receptioniste vertelde ons direct, vrij pinnig dat onze kamer nog niet klaar was omdat inchecken pas vanaf 15.00 uur kon. Ze liet ons demonstratief wachten tot 15.00 uur. Toen gaf ze ons een andere kamer omdat onze kamer nog niet klaar was. In de avond was de bar niet open, het hotel draaide de dagen voor kerst, terwijl er best aardig wat mensen waren, op halve kracht. We vroegen of de bar de dag erna wel open zou gaan omdat we anders wilden omboeken naar een gezelliger hotel. Er werd volmondig JA gezegd echter alle dagen daarna bleef de bar dicht en draaide het hotel op halve kracht. We hebben een klacht ingediend. Er werd ons toegezegd dat de manager ons zou contacten direct nadat hij terug was van vakantie om ons tegemoet te komen. De beste man is echter of nog steeds met vakantie of hij dacht ik steek mijn kop in het zand dan vergeten ze het vast. Maar ik ben niet zo vergeetachtig. Vandaag 29 januari 2020, een dikke maand na ons verblijf nog steeds niets vernomen.

Mißfallen hat mir das (fehlende) Benehmen anderer Gäste, die als größere Gruppe in einem an das Foyer anschließenden Gang zu den Zimmern zwischen Bistro-Tischen am Boden ihre Turnübungen abgehalten haben. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit nettem Personal
Das Hotel hat eine gute Innenausstattung. Frühstück war sehr gut mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Ich hatte in der online-Buchung angegeben, dass eine Gast auf einen Rollator angewiesen ist und um ein geeignetes Zimmer gebeten. Diese wichtige Info war leider \"verloren gegangen\" - die hohe Duschwanne im Standardzimmer ist für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung ungeeignet.

Gut erreichbar, Parkplätze teilweise in Tiefgarage, sehr freundliche Begrüßung. Nicht gerade modern, aber alles in gutem Zustand. Kleine Abzüge in der Bewertung für die Verdunkelung (5m Fenster, aber die Lichtschutzgardine reichte nur für 3m) und dafür, dass der Zimmerdienst am Abreisetag vor dem Checkout bereits unangekündigt das Zimmer betreten wollte.

Service: Außerdem habe ich mich im Hotel bei dem zugehörigen Bonus-Programm angemeldet. Bei der Anmeldung druch die Rezeption wurde die E-Mail falsch geschrieben. Das wurde anschließend zwar geändert, allerdings habe ich keine Punkte von diesem Aufenthalt auf dem Bonus-Konto.
Frühstück: Beim Frühstück gab es an einem Tag keine Brötchen und keinen Lachs mehr. Sonst war das Frühstück gut.
Zimmer: Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer wahr sehr angenehm und das Zimmer sehr sauber.
