The hotel is well situated for travel to the Dusseldorf and Duisburg areas. It is peaceful and quiet for the most part, and set back in a nice park area. The on-site restaurant and breakfast is one of the better ones that I've experienced on my business travel. Plenty of parking, and good access to the motorway links. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
This isn't a Sheraton, Marriott etc, but is a good, mid-range hotel in the area.

Overall very pleasant stay. Only drawback was that breakfast didn't open until 7am, so couldn't enjoy that due to early departure. Room was booked for 3 people (parents and child), but was very tight with roll-away bed in the room. Space was not designed for 3 beds. Nevertheless, the beds were comfortable.

Wir hatte das, wie hier beschrieben, großes Frühstück. Das ist wohl etwas übertrieben. Und die Qualität ist sehr schlecht. Die Salami und der Schinken ist nicht frisch. Die Cornflakes rochen extrem muffig. Das Omelette und die Spiegeleier waren viel zu lange gekocht. Die Servicekraft hat wohl noch nie in einer guten Küche gearbeitet. Der Orangensaft war mit Wasser verdünnt.... Wir haben die Servicekraft darauf hingewiesen. Sie erwiderte, dass noch niemand etwas reklamiert hat. Kein Wunder, man ist wohl sprachlos bei so einen schlechten Frühstück. Den vollen Preis kann man hierfür nicht verlangen. Es stellte sich im Nachhinein heraus, dass die Servicekraft die Eugentümerin ist. Das war anhand ihrer Inkompetenz nicht zu erkennen.

Wir haben vom 25.12. auf den 26.12. übernachtet. Die Weihnachtsdekoration war, wie jedes Jahr, einfach klasse. Wie bei jedem Besuch im Landhaus Milser ist jedoch das Ristorante Da Vinci zu nennen. Hervorragendes italienisches Essen!!

Eher low budget Hotel
Wie schon beschrieben, hatte ich um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten und bekam ein Zimmer zur viel befahrenen Straße. Auf meinen Wunsch nach einem Zimmer zur ruhigeren Parkseite wäre man eingegangen, wenn ich pro Nacht einen Zuschlag von € 75,- gezahlt hätte, und das bei einer Buchung von 5 Übernachtungen! Am ersten Morgen setzte um 07:00 ein munteres Bohren und Hämmern ein. In den folgenden 2 Nächten drang laute Musik ins Zimmer, so dass ich um 02:00 dann Ohrstöpsel getragen habe, um überhaupt in den Schlaf zu kommen. Als ich daran der Rezeption ansprach, zuckte der Mitarbeiter die Schultern und sagte, sie \"seien schließlich ein Tagungsort- und Kongresshotel, da müsse man mit sowas schließlich rechnen\". Das Zimmer war sehr 'altbacken' mit altem, verwohnten Mobiliar. Im Badezimmer war die Türe angeschlagen und zeigte Auflösungserscheinungen und die Silikondichtung der Fliesen aufgebrochen. Das machte alles eher den Eindruck von Fremdenzimmern in einer Gaststätte als von einem 'hochgelobten' Hotel. Das Personal an der Rezeption unterhielt sich lieber miteinander als auch nur einmal aufzusehen oder uns zu begrüßen, wenn wir abends ins Hotel kamen. Nach einer ersten Beurteilung über Ihr Portal bekam ich eine Mitteilung, dass sich das Hotel meiner Angelegenheit annehmen werde, passiert ist aber nichts. Beim Auschecken immerhin sprach man mit uns, weil für 2 Twix aus der Minibar noch € 6,- zu entrichten seien. Verglichen mit unseren Stationen in Madrid, Paris,Wien war das unterklassig

Et godt stop på en tur sydpå. Let adgang både til lille landsby og med u-Bahn til Duisburg. En ret stor og nok overset by, da området mest er kendt for tung industri.
